Assetto Corsa features an advanced DirectX 11 graphics engine that recreates an immersive environment, dynamic lighthing and realistic materials and surfaces. The advanced physics engine is being designed to provide a very realistic driving experience, including features and aspects of real cars, never seen on any other racing simulator such as tyre flat spots, heat cycles including graining and blistering, very advanced aerodynamic simulation with active movable aerodynamics parts controlled in real time by telemetry input channels, hybrid systems with kers and energy recovery simulation. ASSETTO CORSA has been developed at the KUNOS Simulazioni R&D office, located just inside the international racing circuit of Vallelunga, allowing the team to develop the game with the cooperation of real world racing drivers and racing teams.
LEGENDARY TRACKS
The circuits have been developed using Laser scan technology, in order to guarantee the highest level of accuracy possible in reproducing real world motor racing environments.
Monza, Silverstone, Imola, Mugello, Spa, Brands Hatch and many more tracks, including the historical reproduction of Monza, that brings again to life the legendary Sopraelevata, the high-speed oval where races were staged until 1961.

The Assetto Corsa physics engine is all new, using practical knowledge acquired from working closely with the elite of motorsport in order to engineer the best possible accuracy of physics and tactility of feeling.

This game is good, considering how it was created in 2014. There is lots of modding, and even without modding its a fun game! The racing is competitive, career mode is pretty fun, and there's a ton load more things to do! It does go on sale occasionally, (sense its a 11 year old game) so getting this wouldn't be much a problem. The only problem ive really encountered is whenever i try to join a public server, it starts lagging, like.. ALOT. So im basically locked from playing any public servers. Overall, its a good game!

As a racing simulator, I've tested all of them and I'd say it gives iRacing a run for its money. Especially when this one was $20 and iRacing is $20 every month XD

This is a very good racing simulator. However to make it good you need to mod the game. This just makes the overall experience more enjoyable. Without mods 6/1-0. With mods 10/10
I love playing this game! I have a thrust master and this game allows me to experience some of these cool cars that I have. Since I bought the DLC's, the game has so many cool tracks and cars that makes me want to play this game more and more. Definitely recommend buying the game and at least some of the DLC's!!!

This is the best racing simulation game. Realistic sound, realistic driving, but if you want to drive your favorite car, there are many mods to choose from. Whether it's a race track, a car that can be tuned by yourself, there are many good car modders who make beautiful cars, and a strong community to give advice. I think this game will please you. But it's not over just buying the game. You may have to buy sim racing cockpit as well. LOL
An amazing racing and driving simulator, however this game would be less than irrelevant if it didn't have so much mod support and already 33 thousand mods. 100% worth it especially with the current discount.
highly recommend getting into using the mod manager to improve graphics, add neck fx, as well as adding more maps and ai traffic. Either way, this is a fantastic tool to get better at driving with a wheel. No other sim (besides IRacing, but I aint spending that much money for it. I will mention Beamng is super underrated for how realistic it's driving simulation is.) compares to how close this game feels to IRL. Big fan.
*(it still is a computer program and won't be a true 1:1 but in my opinion, once you really get into the meat of this game, it spoils all other driving games besides rally sims.

It's very realistic and fun even with keyboard or a cheap wheel. Offline supported. It was my favorite until i switched to Linux. I tried a lot of times and other ways to get this working but it didn't...

I believe this game is fantastic and for being able to get this game for a 75% discount on the normal game price. I always found an interest in car racing and think this game was absolutely perfect for someone like myself. Whenever you can get it on discounted prices it is absolutely worth it. The only things that let down the game is the selection of vehicles and tracks whenever buying the base game. However, it is still good.

Newer AC titles are more restrictive and don't include mod support.

i think at a base level, when you install it, Assetto Corsa is a passable and reliable sim experience.
it doesn't feel as hand holdy as Gran Turismo or Forza, and the "gamer" assists feel a lot better.
the community support for this game is incredible, and while i can't speak for the multiplayer aspect, the community support for additional content is amazing. If there isn't a car, livery, or track on the base game, you can surely find a well made version of what you're looking for on forums.
and if i compared the experiences of the top sim(cades), i would say Forza < Gran Turismo < Assetto Corsa < iRacing

Honestly its a really good game for it being 12 years old. It has no doubtly helped me with learning the boundaries of my car in real life, granted im at almost 4 years of experience and i also have a lot more common sense and awareness than a loot of people, but this game is great to get your mind focused and ultimatley to build up that mental strength of always wanting to beat your personal best, to always push harder
make better controller support, this game is unplayable without a steering wheel, while competitors of this game mastered how to make their games playable on controller decades ago
