great game, wonderful physics and large selection of mods. but, to play the game properly, you will definitely need a AMD Ryzen 5 or intel core i5 paired with a minimum of a RTX770. otherwise, it is still a great game. well done beamng and great game i would recommend if you are into cars and realism!
BeamNG drive and BeamMP a non official multiplayer service. BeamNG on its own is great, but beamMP is just better allowing this one player game to become multiplayer. I love the cars that are added, beamNG is the best game i have played in years. I would easily suggest this wonderful game to car people. Great Job developers.

This game has come a long way since its release, having owned it for most of its development cycle and being one of the first games i purchased on steam sometime back in mid 2015, the games development from then to now has effectively stood the test of time. Weirdly enough, its one of the rare few games on steam that feel like they should be priced quite frankly decently higher than their sale price, if there was a way to donate an additional 15 bucks or even higher which is what feels like this should be priced at to support the development, I would do it. Either way, you get the point, its good and should never be forgotten.
BeamNG is well optimized for a resource-intensive simulation game. While things like physic calculations are single threaded in nature, the game still makes effective utilization of multicore and multithreaded performance. When I turn off multithreading, it results in a significant decrease in performance of upwards 10%-50%. Although, that's mostly noticeable when I spawn a lot of traffic cars. As for what I said previously. Still nice to see a simulation game that effectively stresses my CPU. Just seeing all cores being utilized on task manager when I play brings me joy because I paid for the whole CPU, I want to use the whole CPU dammit. I would recommend getting an AMD Threadripper Pro for ideal performance to experience the distilled BeamNG Drive experience. Also, this game doubles as an amazing benchmark tool as well, fun to mess around with for this.
Which speaking of, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D handles this game like a champ, and if you're fine with forsaking responsiveness for how much cars you can spawn, then current flagship consumer-grade hardware can do a lot more stuff. like spawning 40 cars and capping your fps at 40 with high settings (reflections primarily off, at least to the level i can tolerate them at a minimum graphically can result in decreases by roughly 10%>~ performance wise) on a large but clustered map like a city for example, is just immersive and makes BeamNG significantly more fun to play for me at least. Especially with a large car pool size with modded vehicles. With all that said, if I haven't made it clear enough you need good hardware to get the full experience of BeamNG as I'm describing unfortunately, although mid-tier hardware can it decently well, just don't be expecting to do anything I just mentioned which is probably what you wanted to imagine playing BeamNG. But, if your hardware is capable, you will enjoy the experience it can potentially provide.
And, if BeamNG drive wasn't realistic enough, if you spawn enough traffic cars, the AI gets into frequent crashes and traffic jams without the need to intervene. Which is just how people drive were I live anyways. So, its an additional layer of realism that even if not intentional, and likely just the game being stretched in-terms of path finding & ai logic being tried to the games performance, at least unintentionally makes the game even more realistic than it already was in a humorous way.
Finally, BeamMP. Which is an entirely different experience, however requires you have top-tier hardware and copious amounts of ram, as BeamNG drive can consume decently more ram than it usually does when i play singleplayer. Which for me is fine, as BeamNG for me usually does so around 4GBs-8GBs (which is usually 16GB-20GB total system ram), you will definitely need atleast 32GBs to play BeamMP. Also, on top of the ridiculously over the top hardware requirement that needs to be checked if you want to play, combined with the issues outside of that particularly desync, it can be rather disappointing and not as fun as it sounds to be able to play BeamMP, even if you do meet this hardware requirement for good performance. Shit was coded by apes with type writers, so lower your expectations fairly and maybe you can have a good time.
With all considered, the experience is mostly good. But if you cared about multiplayer, than it really on exists on-paper. Outside of that, tons of long-term replayability and continual support by the development team, BeamNG Drive is a worth while investment if you are into open-world simulation games.
Very cool game, too lazy to add comments at what makes this game good, but they're realistic, they're vehicles. and they're cool.
On the Steam Deck it plays well up to medium, which is about the max one can set it to before dipping below 40. The overall game is well made and bugs are pretty rare. The only really noteworthy downside is that on Steam Deck the terrain material does not load, which kills the realism.
Really good game for Realistic driving, Drifting, and Crash testing cars!
Few games are so unfinished and yet functional, it's a good game, but lack the refinement of other games, the UI it's an abosolute mess.
As much as I love this game and its modding community i have barely touched it since 2020. Despite what many people say this game is not the "most realistic driving simulator", it is a vehicle sandbox and crashing simulator.
The force feedback in any sort of slide or corner is vague and feels almost delayed. Even with a 12nm direct drive wheel I have to control the wheel as if it is a Logitech wheel and preemtivley counter steer. This is not an issue on my side but its an issue with the physics and force feedback itself.
Players shouldn't have to fine tune cars or use modded cars just for a more natural feel. Even with the recent force feedback update this issue is still there and I often play until I get frustrated by the FFB, tweak it and change settings then give up and quit.
BeamNG was designed to be a crash and vehicle simulator not a driving/racing sim and shouldn't be compared with them.
If you want a fun sandbox get this game then mod it
If you want realistic driving physics get Assetto Corsa then mod it
i love this game. perfect physics and realistic graphics, if you wish, you can add mods. you dot have to buy, theyre free. i love the herbie mod
this is singlehandedly the most fun i ever have opening a game. updates are amazing evreytime, game feels smooth, community is able to create and include themselves, only gripe at all is that theres no multiplayer, easy to look past for this game though, the crash phsyics are out of this world, the amount if diffrent options there are to do when you load up this game is crazy, i would buy this game 10 times over again 10/10

Ever since i started watching content about this game, from Muye, among other people, i always wanted to play this game. For a long time, i couldn't play the game because i had a 20 year old pc that hasn't been upgraded in 10 years. Thankfully, i did get a decent laptop, yes, a laptop. Either way, that was the least of my worries. My dad was not used to buying a digital copy of a game, which i can understand, as i like to have a physical copy of whatever game, but beamng.drive, is only digital. And by the way, the reason why my dad didn't want to get me the game, was because it would have been the first purchase on the laptop, and because my dad at first for some reason, did not trust steam. After finally convincing him, i got the game, and let me tell ya, it's possibly the best game i've ever owned. The game is really realistic in terms of graphics and mechanics, which made the game amazing. And still to this day, i love crashing in the dumbest ways possible. The shoft-body physics are amazing. That's all i gotta say for this game, and so far, it has been an amazing adventure.
When I first got this product, I thought I wouldn't have fun with it and later just refund it, but I soon realized this game has stunning graphics and stunning cars with great suspension, interior, and basically everything! This game is great for car lovers and a great way to actually learn how to drive! I recommend this game to everyone.
i loved this game so much and i been wanting it for years to be honest, although for 0.34 add big optimization... LIKE REAL BIG OPTIMIZATION, so i can play at ultra with no lag, but the normal graphics are beautiful with motion blur, also maybe collab with bmw for real car brands ingame cause i been seeing bmw official tiktok playing beamng

LOVE THIS GAME !!! I mostly enjoy the physics and slomo-crash my cars... Game itself can do many more, its a big sandbox. Car physics is completely anti-arcade, full simulator (makes sense in a game like this). Some things look like they are immature, but still are already good. External Mods and additional maps (included in in-game Mod Market) are highly recommended to use.

Realistic driving game which you can import car mods from automation a totally different game.
Best Car Driving Game, with crash physics like no other.. Play single player just having fun crashing, wild stunts whatever. Or add a couple mods and play online! BeamMP mod and cARP mod. This game is totally wide open! 100% Recommended!
BeamNG is the ultimate sandbox experience for car lovers. Crash physics is the best in history and updated vehicle models are extremely detailed. AI drivers are intelligent enough and it has good maps to roam around and offroad. Optimization is good enough but career mode could be better. Missions are fun and challenging however storytelling is not the best in town.

Pretend you are Great Uncle Cletus from Wetumpka, Alabama. After a long hard day of drinking Budweiser, beating your wife, and touching your nephews, you decide to turn on the TV and watch some NASCAR. Is it entertaining? Hell no. It's cars driving around a circle for hours on end with half the participants being named Dale. But there is one thing that keeps you interested, the crashes. While it's fucked up and maybe Uncle Cletus is a sociopath for enjoying the crashes, we all know that it is the most entertaining part of the entire race. It's exciting and leaves you in awe every time it happens. It's the same reason people stop to look at bad car crashes at the side of the road. And it's one of the things that makes BeamNG.drive stand out as an outstanding and unique game.
This game is great for someone who loves realistic handling, Destruction, and great vehicle selection. While the vehicles in game are not actual companies, they are all fun to use and tweak with. 5 of 5 stars. Great game.

absolutely amazing physics. not just the crash physics are good, all the other things (grip, gearshifts, all the moving parts on the car like driveshafts) are amazing too. would definitely recommend to anyone who is intrested in cars.

This game is so much fun! This game is a fun driving sandbox with many levels and mods! This game is like the driving of GTA. There is so many features, change camera, change car, you can basically do everything to the car and game. The mods also add lots of content too! The mods are free so have fun. I recommend you play this with a control though, the keyboard is hard to get use to. Overall good game, I recommend!

Incredible game with great simulation and fun things to mess around with. The devs are amazing and I couldnt be more happy with every update they've ever put out. WIth mod support built into the game, there are endless hours of fun and challenge from this game. Everyone should try Beamng!!

I have only played for 3,468.9 hours only. I think this is a good game you can do so many things like racing, rallying, off roading, tune, listen to music and drive, or drive a car off a cliff. The modding community is great if you stay on the official website do not go to modland. I think this is a good game and would recommend it is worth the price.
One of the best and most unique driving and physics simulators ever made. It has truly unreal potential. The more I play the more there is to find - the dev's attention to detail is immaculate. Every car part is simulated. The physics are raw and unforgivingly real. It makes other driving games feel like smoke and mirrors. The game has a constantly growing and amazing modding community, but the vanilla vehicles are seriously worth taking the time to explore (they honestly drive better). Once you realize how deep this game is, it becomes very exciting thinking about what the future of the game will be. It's so, so much more than just a car crash simulator. Also, if you read the negative reviews you'll see most of them are complete imbeciles. If you like driving games, you have to try this. You are inarguably missing out on an amazing experience.

Game is fun I recommend this game to anybody that has an interest in cars. Crash physics are good as well and if you download BeamMP its very fun with friends.
One of the wildest and most accurate driving simulators I have ever played using a motion simulator. Crashing in this game is so spectacularly unique to any other car driving game I've ever tried. BeamNG has native support for Yaw Pro Motion Simulators! With easy click and go in the Yaw Game Engine, and a brief one time of enabling telemetry motion simulator data in the settings. This title can be more epic than a roller coaster! I personally feel that setting the Yaw loose on this one is even more special because of the nature of your car flipping and rolling, etc. Recommended motion settings below.
Yaw Pro Motion Simulator Settings:
Pitch Forward - 27
Pitch Backward - 31
Roll - 32
Limit the Yaw to between 10 and 20 degrees
Yaw Return Speed: 75
I think BeamNg.Drive is a very good game for if you want to practice driving or just if you want to see crash physics in action. Although it does run a bit worse on older laptops and pcs, I am happy to say that you can prevent some of the lag by lowering the graphics settings

Beamng is a very fun game, the physics are really good, I have tons of fun, but, however, there some things that don't work, One, the mods menu, Two, the update keeps resetting. pls help me fix this
