Buy it for the crashes. Stay for the open world driving sim.
Gameplay is very fun with the ability to switch cars, reset damage, and do anything else you want at any given time. Good mod support.
Only negative is the UI could use some work. It's kind of clunky in a few spots like car selection.
Very addicting game with loads of mods.
I was struggling with the ui and general use of the game but once u get going you better say goodbye to the next few hours

Wow... Just wow. I never expected to like a game like this, but after watching some videos (and it being on sale), I decided to buy it. I can't stress enough how much enjoyment you'll get out of this game. It's so realistic and yet so amazing. The gameplay is fantastic, the variety of car combos is amazing, and the gameplay will tickle your brain. Even after 411 hours, I still love listening to the engines roar. Even if you don't enjoy games like this, I would still highly recommend it. 10/10 addicting on another plane of existence.
it a good game to play when youre waiting for something. good physics and graphics, its very easy to mod the game, however it does get boring to play after a while do to the lack of nothing to do.
It is a great game, it is totally worth what you pay for it, it has good graphics, physics, variety of modes, vehicles, workshop, I would honestly say that it is the best vehicle game in terms of realistic physics and cars of course.
It's good fun. genuinely good fun, and there can be a lot to do. But as the years have gone on and my hours have gone up? BeamNG has gone down in quality and I honestly cannot recommend it in it's current state. I understand it's early access but how do you make a game that's been out in early access for ten years so unoptimised, buggy and glitched out to the max as time has gone on? shouldn't we be starting to see a more finished and polished product at this stage of it's life?
Now I have a few complaints small but enough that make me unsatisfied and unimpressed.
Optimisation is out the window now days, with a buggy interface that barely works even on a system that meets the requirements, and the game at times takes easily a good ten to twenty seconds to load per window.. Hell even changing to a different vehicle is a slow and laggy process at times.
God knows why but still years and years later from time to time changing to a different vehicle will temporarily max out your CPU and cause the whole game to lock up for a good thirty seconds till it finally loads in. It's just jankfest to the max.
Now perhaps this is a small side note of a complaint but if you want actual realistic physics simulation and realistic handling? be prepared to hunt through multiple menus just to turn off settings that should have been off from the start that make vehicles feel like they have permanent traction control on and other strange oddities the game has set on from default.
The in-game Mod repository is janky, slow, outdated with a terrible UI and half the time you won't even find what you're looking for and then you install the mod and half the time it doesn't even seem to install, and if it does it will often be broken or have some sort of issue. Instead 99% of the time you're better off going directly to the mods section of the BeamNG website in your browser if you wish to search for mods in the "official" repository to have an actually usable, functional UI where you will likely have more luck finding what you're searching for and it's also nice to be able to see actual reviews instead of just a few useless stars so I can figure out if or not the mod is broken jank.
Again I really, really am going to insist that you just do not purchase it in it's current state till BeamNG devs begin to focus on optimisation for once or at least make a vague attempt to polish it.

its fun but the downsides are for me i cant f11 it so its always annoying to see those bars for those of you who didnt know you can destroy cars its kinda fun however actually driving works too dont do that tho
An pc that's older than me can run this game that's crazy and the graphics are so realistic I might be addicted.
Very fun, but very intensive computer wise. Money well spent if you can run the game. The crash physics and vehicle detail is absolutely awesome, also the customisation on the cars is a really fun thing to mess around with.

Honestly this game is a really good game, but not the best because of its system requirements and the fact that if you dont have a controller or a wheel youll not BE able to fully enjoy it the game is not aasterpiece as people describe it and of course it is and incredible game with the ultra realistic damage physics the diferent maps and free mods but its still is not perfect so if you dont have a controller or a wheel DO NOT BUY THIS GAME since after you buy you Will not BE able to refund it because Beam ng themselves wont let you
This car game is made of realistic soft body physics. I would recommend this game because this is a good game.

BeamNG is a solid driving sim with some of the best physics around. The base game is fun, but what really makes it shine are the mods. Custom maps, vehicles, and features totally elevate the experience and keep things fresh. If you’re into creative chaos or just messing around with cars, the mods make it well worth the time. ALSO, GET THE MULTIPLAYER MOD FOR MAX FUN!!!!

I have owned this game since 2015, I can say with 100% confidence that this is the best driving/racing game you will ever spend your money on. Big thanks to the Devs and their endless and thorough support for this game and its community. The physics alone are an amazing feat of design and work in themselves. If youre looking at the age of this game, dont, they support this game as if it was still 2015. Endless mods, custom maps, cars, plugins are easily installed in their own dedicated in-game browser, ready to be installed and played at a moments notice. Maps are endlessly fun even just the original base maps.
If you love driving games or just goofing around with physics games, buy this.

Coolest effing game ever with a huge community, many custom mods and overall mod support. You can go racing, mess around with any car or just spawn a potato and set it on fire. 100/10 veri gut and with updates it only gets better. I would like to see an improvement to overall graphics and optimization. Older versions felt more realistic and "calm" while now the game feels too "bright" and cold, a bit more unrealistic.
Its so great if you want a experience where you can relaxe, drive peacfully, or drive into a family of four on a random tuesday night.
Update V0.34 completely broke my game. I cant even run the game on low settings. I have tried reinstalling the game, i've moved it to different drives, everything. I have contacted their support, and they cant even find a solution. I've updated my drivers, I really dont think this is a local issue with my pc. Im so confused. I used Rufus to wipe absolutely everything from my pc regarding this game and even after that, still runs at most 5fps. no matter the settings. I absolutely love this game but until i find a solution i will keep this review negative. I really have no idea whats happening.
Some things in the game are totally broken.
1. Graphics are awful even on ultra. The shadows are shaking with no reason, but if u even remove ugly shadows, the worst anti-aliasing still remains
2. Well, i downloaded some scenarios in repository to enjoy BeamNG, but half of them are broken: i spawn in the sky with no car
3. I wanted to create my own ai race. The first thing that shocked me was that i cant just choose the start and finish points on the map and then press the "Start Race" button. I discovered World Editor. I created a mission point ABOVE ground. But when i start my mission i spawn under ground! If anyone faced the same problem, write how u fixed it please
4. Is it realistic that when i drive over a curb i get stuck inside it?

I play this on a lower end laptop, and in return that does mean that on slightly higher graphics, i can only play on a few maps. However, the maps which i am able to play are amazing, and the gameplay is endless entertainment. I understand that this game is still in development, but that also means that you get to see the game progress. The crash physics are insane, and you can sit there for hours racing, offroading, drifting, or simply just crashing cars. Career is not much of a career, but im sure thats something for the future. Well worth the purchase.

It's one of the most realistic driving simulators ever made! BeamNG.drive is sandbox at its core, but the main attraction is the fact that the engine simulates every single car part, and there's physics with real life behavior. The selling point is the car crashes: hitting a pole at 200km/h will wrap the car around it and send parts flying everywhere, with detailed notifications on what just broke in the upper left side of the screen. It's a visual treat that never gets old even after hundreds of hours, according to veterans!
BeamNG.drive can be tackled with many different playstyles, like experimenting with car attributes, driving off cliffs to watch the car get destroyed with crazy high detail modeling, completing missions and races against AI, going offroad, exploring the jungle, or simply driving at high speeds following the road without a destination in mind. BeamNG is therapeutic! Listening to music while driving in the Utah desert map is pretty relaxing. There's also a modded multiplayer component called BeamMP, which allows us to mess around with friends.
This achievement completion is pretty simple and fun, with certain missions and total driven distance being the requirements. No guides are needed, BeamNG is a sandbox game, so get creative!
Game has a great physics engine and is very responsive when driving. Very good community and overall good experience.
