These games are so much fun, I'm not a good puzzler so I did use some help, but the story is very good!
I really love games like this!
(Sadly it didnt have steam achievements.)
Very fun, just like the first one. This one was harder for me, I had to look up a walkthrough near the end.
This is another relaxing point-and-click puzzle game in the style of the first Isoland. It's the same mixture of object puzzles, mini-games and code-breaking puzzles. It's all pretty easy, although you might need a notepad to help you with the last few code puzzles. But this is otherwise a charming and quality puzzle sequel.
Another fun little puzzle game! I like the bizarre characters. Plus the art style makes me think of the cartoons from the 90s! ^^
A little less difficult than Isoland 1, this game can still be a real "Myst" sometimes.
Congrats to the makers!
A terrible pixel hunt forced me to a walkthrough - very, very disappointing. Also, too many nonsensical items like not being able to reach a bottle that is right in front of you. Additionally, the interface is not good on a Microsoft Surface. Far too much dialog. Obscure puzzles. Just like the first one, not really good games. Decent, but no better.
A puzzle/adventure game with a somewhat different feel than most. But recommendable.
Another fun game from the designers of the series. Very whimsical and delightful graphics. Puzzles can be a bit frustrating but not a show stopper. I enjoyed every minute of it.
I wanted to like this game - I liked the original Isoland. There were two problems that prevented me from liking it however:
1 - there were too many (for my liking) puzzles which sere just puzzles, not connected by clues in the game to help solve them. Theses were mainly sliding block type puzzles, and were pretty difficult, which is OK in general but:
2 - they were slightly different each time you started the game; I can see that would increase replay value, but in my case, when I was not able to solve one, all the Walkthoughs and videos available showed different versions of that puzzle, so I was stuck.
I just decided the game was not worth the effort for me.
Good, and full of quirks and clever puzzles, but why should one have to go through the entire game twice to get some achievements? This is beyond unbelievable. Quit stroking you own egos and let the game unfold in some kind of logical or understandable manner.
A little something different
Isoland is a game series with a total of 3 games. Just like its previous game; you're pretty much thrown into a world without knowing what or why. It's a interesting feature to make you explore how you wish to and adds this mysterious vibe to the game.
The devs did a great job maintaining the "Isoland" style while still cleaning it up, essentialy making the game a little bit easier to experience & immerse into.
The puzzles are much more well done and theres even some interesting notes from the previous Isoland added to the game for you to find. A feature they added which I cant word how much I appreciate, is a ingame notepad. It made the playthrough so much better. Thank you!
As per usual; Isoland 2 stays to their name and will offer you a interesting ng+.
Conclusion. Shold you buy Isoland 2 - Ashes of Time ?
Yes. You'll got more than a hour worth of gameplay for your dollar, you'll get another round of this fantastic oddness and ofcourse; a phase of change.
Thank you for reading my review of Isoland 2 - Ashes of Time
That was really fun and interesting experience! Thank you very much! ❤
Enjoyed playing this game. Artwork good. Puzzles were not ridiculously hard but were nicely challenging which made playing the game fun.
We very much enjoyed part 2 and really like the addition of a screenshot tool to link up references to previous sections. The fab gameplay was the same standard as Isoland 1 but seemed a tad more polished in places. Having said that, the game feels slightly smaller in terrain size (even though it isn't!) This is because it is set in two timelines - always a classic for any great game. The puzzles were balanced and well thought out. You just dig in and get the feel of the solution as you tinker about with them. We don't know whether we're just getting used to them now, but they were in that perfect zone of being achievable fairly quickly but without much deep thought needed - a sort of 'A means that B goes to C of course' rather than 'Maybe B could go to C? And I wonder if A has any part in this?' (if you get our drift lol!) The best puzzles are when you begin to connect abstractly presented ideas, linked by a need presented by the story. Although the puzzles in Isoland 2 were individually satisfying, there seemed to be a little less linkage between them at times. No big deal though - they were great fun! The artwork is BRILLIANT - as always! :)
I played the first Isoland with my girlfriend and we liked it. So, we gave chance to sequel and were not disappointed. Again, simple adventure with easy to medium puzzles. Nice art and catchy story. But again, the only downside is the ending mechanics which could be designed much better.
If you like point-click adventures, then you'll almost certainly like this. I don't like that genre particularly, but I got this because having played the demo for Isoland 1, I had to buy the full version of that. And I liked it so much that this was inevitable.
Like the first one, this is definitely worth it for the price. The slightly surreal atmosphere is even better here, as is the artwork.
I found I got stuck in quite a few places, which can get frustrating. But finished without using any guides simply by stopping playing for a while and returning to it later when I'd forgotten what I'd tried and what I hadn't.
One puzzle I had to brute-force, and I'm still not sure where the actual solution is. So I'll definitely replay it just to find that.
It's the kind of game you can come back to in a year or so and replay with a kind of uncanny, haunting feeling that you are suddendly immersed in something vaguely familiar, and yet still quite puzzling. I look forward to that feeling.
In general, "Isoland 2 - Ashes of Time" plays almost exactly like the first "Isoland." So, if you played that, you pretty much know what to expect with this game. The one exception is that two of the hidden in-game Achievements (not Steam Achievements) are, essentially random. You have to enter an area any number of times until an item therein randomly decides to change form (and then you click on it). I was a bit miffed with that, but since it's just an Achievement and not necessary for completing the game, I'm willing to let it pass. Anyway, it took me 4.9 hours to complete the two run-throughs needed to get everything done. So, even at the list price, it's worth it.
Enjoyed this Game. Like the first Isoland game it is visually appealing and has a surreal charm all of it's own. I found the first Isoland a bit too demanding (eg randomly having to click an object more than once to make something happen) and resorted to a walkthrough a few times. However Isoland 2 got the difficulty level about right for me - so pretty well ticks all the boxes.
PS The second time you play through you get altered puzzles and an extra challenge/mission - what's not to like
难度中等,80/90年代画风,流程较短。总之算是一款还行的解密
A lovely game has lots of fun. i hope they publish next gen soon.
