personally not a fan of the direction this game goes in but the first couple episodes are really great. insane art, story, and shock factor that you simply can't find in other games.

This game is worth every penny. Plenty of my friends recommended it as well as people who recorded play-through's of it. Sally Face includes a beautifully-written story that hooks you from the beginning. The diverse and creative art style is something I have never seen before, but it adds so much more to the overall feel of things. Not to mention, if you're big on puzzles and mysteries, well this game is full of them, with a bunch of Easter eggs to help you get to know the characters and history better.
From my own personal perspective, as an aspiring artist (pretty much every form of art, ranging from literature to music), I think this game is inspiring, as the creators did an impeccable job of showing their creativity, and making a chilling, addicting game. As soon as I first heard of Sally face, years ago, I was immediately interested, from only reading about the plot. I one-hundred percent recommend buying the game, if not just the first episode to give it a try, because I am positive it'll be worth the time.
A simple sidescrolling adventure, carried by the very genuine and weirdly wholesome sentiment of it's story.
This game is great. The characters are extremely well written and the game doesnt feel rushed. This game is high quality and the story is immaculate. The character deaths dont feel forced for shock factor, they add depth to the game. Overall, this game is absolutely awesome and i recommend it to anyone looking to play a sad but meaningful game.
Its a cute and good indie game with interesting characters, sweet friendship dynamics, a fitting artstyle, and its own way of storytelling and worldbuilding- until the forth episode. From then on it tries to overexplain and rises its stakes way too high, going from a game about friendship and the occult, to a whole world-saving mission that stretches a bit.

it's a great game, don't get me wrong, but if you got here because you were looking for a cute little point n click to follow up Fran Bow, BE WARNED. this game is SOOO much heavier than FB. by a lot. i was not ready for the level of intensity this game brought. it's really well done, but damn. my heart hurts. bravo devs!
i love all the different styles it dives into at the end too. beautiful art. and an awesome metal soundtrack. probably gonna have to replay this one a lot.

I am really annoyed with the way this game is designed!!!
You will accidentally skip crucial storyline elements unless you get 100% completion during each episode play through.
That is terrible game design. Extra achievements should always be OPTIONAL.
I shouldn't end up missing out on crucial parts of the storyline just cause I didn't get a 100% play through.
ESPECIALLY when I can't go back and get all the achievements without starting each episode chapter all over again from the very beginning.
Now, instead of just playing the game and exploring on my own, I have to follow a walkthrough guide every step of the way.
Where is the fun in that?
UPDATE: After finishing Episode 1 and 2 with 100% completion, I have now decided to give up on playing the rest of this game. I am going to just watch a play through or read a write up to find out the rest of the story. I can't do this anymore. So much of my time has been wasted. If you fail the Episode 3 Prologue, you are trapped in a very long sequence that you have to finish before you can exit and try the Prologue again. My gawd. Whoever designed this game, why would you do this??? TERRIBLE.

I never really got into this game during it's peak, on the surface it just didn't interest me I guess. I decided to give it a shot last night cause it showed up on my recommended games and I didn't regret it a bit. Episode one alone had me thoroughly hooked with it's interesting characters and gripping story. 10/10.
This is a fantastic and very dark, spooky game. I loved exploring everywhere possible, especially because the art style and mysterious story work so well together. You do have to be very observant playing this game. Also it's great to play at night for extra spookiness. I now feel extremely attached to Sal, this is one of my favorite main characters ever!
Sally face is definitely one of the best games I have ever played. All the characters have so much personality, the story is amazing and ever chapter has a different feel to it, with them still have the same enjoyable game play. The puzzles are not too hard to do, and the game keeps you hooked in at all times. This game will make you feel all kinds of emotions and make you want to replay it over again. I 10000% recommend this game as I have loved every second playing it!

It's a classic, great memorable characters, interesting lore, fun puzzles, funny dialogue, great replay-ability, AMAZING god-sent soundtrack, and Gizmo.
Bless the place this game has in my heart, dev poured his soul into this and it damn shows.
Excellent indie horror game; gruesome content throughout. It will certainly not be everyone's cup of tea. My only real critique is that the final episode felt awfully short and the ending is abrupt compared to the rest of the game. If there's ever more content released, I'll be playing in the future.

As a classic-style adventure game, Sally Face is a step forward in some ways, by simplifying the UI and gameplay mechanics. It playes as a 2D side-scrolling game instead of the point & click style that one would have thought more appropriate, but it works!
Visually, it is stunning, with a colorful and grim color palette, and a hand drawing art-style that makes it timeless, and not only that, the art is fantastic.
It has good music, an interesting story, good character development, and enough scares and atmosphere to consider it a modern classic of horror games.

Sally Face is genuinely something that you cannot explain to someone its something you have to experience on your own. a captivating story about a boy, his prosthetic face and the shit hand life dealt him trying to find a sense of individuality and belonging after everything that's happened to him. what did happen?

i mean it when i say play this on ur own or watch a playthrough. it strays off completely from what you expect but in a good way. i could understand how it catches others off guard and it doesnt make any sense but i feel like this game is for some ppl to get and others to not because some ppl can genuinely see bits of themselves in the large cast of interesting characters that each get their time to be fleshed out or have a moment to showcase their personality, motivations, beliefs and their relationship with Sally Face.

This game is a big indie game thumbs up for me. The story-line is simple, yet unsettling enough for that subtle scare. If you're like me and don't do very well in the puzzle solving games, this may be challenging. I had to look up help for a handful of scenes. It is like an interactive story where you can only do things one way, but you have to figure out what way that is. The ending was not as I hoped it would be, but still satisfied with it nonetheless. In my opinion, it is worth the try :)
mixed feelings about this game, but incline more towards the "recommended". Short game, graphics, moves and objectives were very simple, to the point it got boring sometimes. However, the story was captivating,

sally face is a great game if you love horror comedy and mystery. With Sal a young boy how lost his face due to an acident and who also lost his mother due to the same accident it creates a wonder for the players to try to figure out. i give this game a 8/10
This game is insane! I'm not a very avid gamer by any means, and usually I stick to cozy games like Animal Crossing or Stardew, but I am a huge fan of psychological horror so I wanted to check this out. I love everything about this game. The controls are so simple, the puzzles are a little tricky sometimes without being rage inducingly hard. The art is amazing and GIZMO!! GIZMO (Sal's cat) is so funny!!! This game is very replayable as well. Despite my overwhelming praise I do feel it's important for me to give a MAJOR warning for this game. It is VILE at some points and potentially very upsetting for some people. If you feel you can handle some TWISTED stuff (I'm mostly referring to one episode in particular) then this game is a great time. 10/10 purchase. I paid $15 for the whole game and I was surprised this game wasn't much more expensive for how invested and immersed I was the whole time.
Um jogo que já tinha jogado à alguns anos trouxe me certa nostalgia, decidi comprar o jogo e re-jogar agora com a minha namorada (outra vez). Ótimo jogo o estilo de arte cativante que realmente prende uma pessoa ao jogo, puzzles muito interessantes, nao muito complicados, nem muito fáceis, um jogo que consegue trazer uma gameplay fora do normal, ótimos personagens e desenvolvimento de mundo e um final incrível. Não aconselho para quem não gosta de gore muito violento mas vale realmente a pena

Due to several glitches, I couldn't finish the game. I looked for help online but it was unfixable without replaying it whole. It was good as far as I could play and it saddens me to give it the thumbs down, but I can't upvote a game I couldn't complete due to the developer's fault. Also, i found it suspiciously reminescent of Fran Bow, which came out the previous year and is glitch-less and whacky-girl themed. So if you don't want to risk buy a game you can't finish, I'd recommend you play that one instead.

Very awesome game. The game includes many fun puzzles, characters, and story. It can be dark, yes, but even in the dark you can find light. I recommend this game to people who love metal and hate bologna. It's a creepy game, for a small price. Your soul. Just kidding, it's under 20 dollars! Anyways, I love this game and I hope you will, too! 10/10.
