Little Nightmares

I absolutely adore Inside, and this game is just that, but with a Tim Burton-like art style and annoying ass controls that make me want to punch my monitor (more so in the dlc), but the story is cool and the enemy designs are cool and the puzzles are either super easy or not explained very well at all, there is no in between.

Truly one of the greatest games ever made.

Art direction: Looks like it came from Tim Burton's mind. 10/10
Story: Terrifying without relying on shock. The shocking moments feel earned. 10/10
Music: It manages to be subtle without being forgetable. 10/10
Enemy design: I could lump this with art direction, but I LOVE the enemies so much that I want to rate it on it's own 10/10
Gameplay: Easily the weakest part, but not very weak at all. But there are some INFURIATING parts. 8/10

Absolutely LOVE this game. Love the creepy characters and the puzzles you have to figure out while you navigate the ship. Cant wait to start the 2nd one and I'm already anticipating the release of the 3rd! DON'T GET CAUGHT!

Amazing graphics and they created a real horror atmosphere.

I would highly recommend this game if you are looking for a short horror/puzzle game. Little Nightmare reminds me of the bed-time horror stories we used to hear as children. The eerie atmosphere coupled with the mechanics makes this a very engaging game. My only gripe is the length of the game. I still wish the game was a bit longer though.

It would be best to buy this during a SALE.

i loved the puzzles and the animations of the characters in this game. I cant stop playing and in the end with an animation of six using the lady's powers, they put so much work into it and i think you should play too.

Really enjoyed playing this creepy little platformer. The base game is short but with the DLCs I thought the length was ok especially if you get it on sale. Will definitely play the sequel. 6/6

Little Nightmares is a very good horror puzzle game, you survive monsters that want to kill you. Or at some points you fight back and chop two arms off or visually reveal to a Lady that she is ugly as $hit and that she shatters all the mirrors, and even gain the power to suck the life out of anyone, guess she became a Little Nightmare... Wow so funny.

The Monsters looks and different situations that you need to deal with them by is very appealing, the DLC's are good but not as good as the main game but does reveal some lore.. Like the Nome transformation and when you arrive at the spot where Six eats a Nome

I'd say that Little Nightmares 2 is a prequel to this because in Little Nightmares 2 Six at the beginning doesn't have her yellow Raincoat until later, and in this she has it for the whole time.. LORE!

10/10 definitely give it a shot!

Little Nightmares is like Wall-e but it's horror.

Fantastic game, great art, kinda janky movement and bad depth perception, story was fantastic but very depressing, I recommend buying the full bundle with both games and the dlcs for the first one as it really brings the story full circle and its that much more depressing. Amazing experience cant wait to play the second one and the third coming out very soon.

If you can acquire it during sales, it's a great game. Remember that even though the story was brief and spooky, it was ultimately a wonderful experience. The mood is eerie and disturbing, but not as scary as other games. I get a little uneasy when I first start playing.

The fact that she ate that small gnome surprised me. The poor little TvT, who is being kind.

Played through this in VR using UEVR. Works perfectly without any settings changes. This game is Beautiful and Haunting. I went in knowing nothing, and I was going to just give it a quick look but it absolutely hooked me, and I had to play through the whole thing. I am awestruck and disgusted and I want more. I feel like there's a deeper meaning about food addiction or body dysphoria or maybe just eating the rich. Whatever it was it was powerful. A+

After you die, you respawn too far away. This is very annoying when you are trying some difficult scenes in which you may die frequently.

While the graphics are indeed stunning, the complete lack of depth perception in this game makes the platforming borderline unplayable.

You will find yourself missing jumps over and over again, despite being 100% convinced that your character is lined up with the intended platform.

It's the equivalent of lining up a free throw and being so off that your shot ends up going into the other team's basket.

While its a very short experience, it is such a memorable experience. Immediately this game creates such a strong sense of atmosphere with its dark lighting and creepy soundtracks. It pulls you into this odd world of horror with creepy, elongated hands and doesn't let you go until the very end. I played this game over the span of three days, building up to Halloween, and every session I realized my blood was getting so hot that I'd start sweating lol. I absolutely loved this game and I'd highly recommend it to any fan of puzzle games. Fans of "Limbo", "Inside" or "Journey" will immediately click with this series. Again, its a very short experience. You can beat this game in three hours, but its a STRONG three hours with VERY minimal fat. Make sure you hug your friends..

Such a well done game. Seriously check it out if you're looking for a puzzle/horror game that isn't overly challenging. The game is very playable and most of the puzzles are pretty intuitive. I only found myself having to look up of the puzzles because I was just being plain stupid lol.

I remember watching DanTDM playing this when I was a kid. Decided to play it myself and it didn't disappoint. The graphics are great, story is amazing with the ending being peak too. The mechanics did kinda frustrate me especially when pushing objects. I did have to retry some levels but the game overall was enjoyable and fun. I did get scared in some scenes like a lil b*tch but we go past that. I recommend this game to anyone who likes story games mixed with puzzles and eeriness.

I love LM, and now i get to play the game after years of watching youtubers play it. I LOVE LM.

It was a truly immersive and mesmerizing experience. I highly recommend it for players who haven't tried it yet.

Great world-building, great horror, I was totally spooked.
DLC is a bit less polished than the main game but expands on story in a meaningful way.

Really love this game, would definitely recommend it to anyone that likes horror / puzzle games. Received at a discounted price so very pleased with it. Graphics and game play is fab.

A short little adventure horror platformer. The mechanics and puzzles are simple enough. Porbably wouldn't pay full price for, but definetly get it if it is on sale! :)

Pretty good game this game continues little nightmares 2's story with six pretty short but worth it, it was pretty fun.

It's a really fun action adventure horror game with lots of cool monster's you have to either run or hide from them I like to hide though. But I recommend this game.

A must-play for fans of horror, puzzle games, and unique gaming experiences. The environment is disturbing yet mesmerizing - I love the atmosphere! Controls can be a bit clunky at times, but everything else about this game outweighs it. Little Nightmares II is equally great, or even better. Can't wait for LM3 <3

It's a great scary game. I always stress when someone chases me and in this game its contantenous, which even though it isn't a first person game, I still get the chills from this game and it can really be scary at some points. I love the graphic and the mechanic. I still have to play the DLCs so I can't review them yet. Overall it is worth playing and worth the price, 10/10.

this is good, but if your on the fence then just get the second one. its a much safer bet for your enjoyment. i adore these games, and pray the third one is good.

Nice game, I would call it puzzle-platform-horror-adventure. You need to have a good frustration tolerance for this, otherwise you will have no fun. A good idea is to watch a playthrough on YouTube in case you get stuck. But try to avoid spoilers at all cost! Best played with a gamepad.

control can be janky at times, but the intrigue makes the journey worth your time.

Story is amazing, the game play is amazing everything about this game is stunning and so smooth there is not one thing about this game i do not like. One of my favourite games along with its counterpart Little Nightmares 2. Best game franchise in my opinion. One issue was walking across planks or pipes but they fixed that in the second game, the amount of times i fell off of them i could actually go insane. But overall in my opinion best game ever genuinely love this game.

At least for me it was.
I had to kill myself twice because the game bugged out and I lost the ability to progress (Losing a key cause it clipped through the bed, the door closing on me on the wrong side and not being able to open anymore, great stuff like that)
The controls, at least on PC, were a bit of a (little) nightmare at first, as every time I would click to grab or hold onto something, the game would close out and bring me back to my desktop. This was piss annoying but also stopped happening at some point for some reason so I don't know what could've caused that.
The DLC is even worse dude. Literally made me kin that guy at the start of the regular game if you know what I mean.
The bit with the ugly witch mermaid lady thing grandma thing PISSED ME THE FUCK OFF. Good lord. It took me like 3 hours to get through that. Sometimes I would jump in the water (LIKE YOU'RE MEANT TO DO) and it would be insta kill cause I'd apparently jump right where she was sitting. (You can't see her until she makes herself known beeteedubs, so I had no way of knowing that I would be jumping on her literal head when I would start the chase/bossfight/whatever)
After I had finally made it through I closed the game and returned to it on a later day. Grave mistake. Game progress reset. I had to redo the chase, but I didn't know where in the game it had set me, so I thought "Lemme just use the chapter thing, and go to the chapter after that chase. Then I'll just be where I left off." No. The next chapter. Was way further than where I left. And of course when you select a chapter it completely overwrites your other save. So the only way to get back to where I was was to do it aaaallll over again

best horror game i have ever played in my entire life,the backround,the lore and art is just beautiful

I love puzzles & I love horror & suspense; obviously I love this game. The graphics are beautiful, the music is awesome, and the story is fun. None of the puzzles are really too hard that it detracts from the game either--it's just enjoyable.

While I spent much of my time solving puzzles and running for my life.... the game allows you to also step back and appreciate the stunning atmospheric beauty within it. At no point did the game tell me who I was, what to do, or what the heck was going on - which at first confused me. Yet I found myself just pushing forward and being enchanted and horrified by the dystopian hellscape surrounding me. Pieces of story and context assemble as you run farther and farther from where you started, and I can honestly say I did not expect where I ended up - or who I ended up being.

One of the most beautifully created platformers ever made. Amazing art direction and monster design, a fully realized world explored through subtle yet very effective environmental storytelling. A must play!

I absolutely enjoy the game a lot. Going and playing this game for the first time is a treat. I think only one complaint I have is the wonkey controls. At the most part, I absolutely enjoy it. I would recommended playing it.

Little Nightmares is an awesome game! The art direction, level design... the atmosphere they created in this nightmare was amazing! I highly recommend it!

Scary enough to keep it interesting and make your heart race, but not too scary that it makes it harder to want to keep playing. The story is a little confusing but it's interesting and the art is fantastic. It makes you feel so immersed in the game
Sometimes it is difficult to know what you are supposed to do, and I did have one part glitch out multiple times where it made it impossible to move forward in the game, had to keep resetting it until it worked properly

I dont know man. I played the game and it was really fun, really a solid 8/10 or maybe even a 9/10 if you're a bit into emotions and things outside your horizon.
I found the many parallels to Studio Ghibli's Chihiro or for me Coraline outstanding, it has something of childish horror but is definitely horror without being scary and frightening. In the end it really was a big fat 9/10, maybe even a 10/10. Outstanding game, nice and short, INCREDIBLE love for all the intricacies, mechanics and content.
The ending was really - spoiler free - gripping.

The thing that changed everything were the three additional chapters / DLC.
Yes, just as well done, levels structured differently, mechanics expanded, puzzles got a bit more difficult, all well and good.

But the ending... It left me in shambles. I was speechless for the rest of the evening and had a lot to process. I can't and don't want to say anything about it because everyone who wants to must experience it for themselves, but with the DLC and the extended ending of the story... Definitely a 12/10, indescribable, unbelievable, just wow.
I'm looking forward to part 2, part 3 when it comes out and the upcoming game from Tarsier Studios.

I love this game so much, When I first laid my eyes on it, I knew I had to have it. It is so much fun to sneak around these terrifyingly awesome bosses and mess around with them. Definitely a game worth getting as I see myself playing it over and over again. This is one of my favorite horror games and one of my favorite games in general.

Holy shit this game is good.
I bought game this because I know someone who loves it to death, I watched markiplier play it like 7 years ago and it was on sale, so hey, might as well, right?
And clearly 10 year old me had no taste because I did NOT remember this game being so good oh my god it's amazing.
This is what horror games should strive to be, not another horrible copy pasted jumpscare simulator.
Thematically it's perfect. The world itself is against you. You play as a very small child and the enemies are all "dangerous, distorted versions of adults" which are mostly depicted as huge, terrifying monsters whose designs I absolutely love.
It has a message and a story to tell and it uses fear to get that point across, not by jumpscaring you, but by craming you in claustrophobic spaces and letting you hear the loud thumping of a nearby threat, by letting you catch a quick glimpse of the creatures you will eventually face so your mind starts to wander, by not letting you actually SEE what's in a room before you enter it, by letting you hear Six's heartbeat progressively get louder and louder the more stressful a situation gets, cutting all other audio once an enemy spots you (until they start to hunt you down), and when something does catch you by surprise, it's the START of an encounter, not the end.
All of this works wonders to keep you on your toes. During the final encounter I was still stressing tf out.
Loved the story, loved the ending, loved the audio and visuals, the camera and orchestra really added the the mood. The gameplay serves everything else perfectly, It's nothing too special but there's some great puzzles, stealth and chase sequences in here.
This is a 10/10 horror game
If you're a fan of games like INSIDE or just good games in general, try this out, you're gonna love it.
