Little Nightmares

fun game. it'll probably last you 10-20 hours if you want to get all of the achievements
9/10 Almost Like A Great Indie Game
Is it worth the full price, ABSOLUTELY NOT, but for sale sure. I felt like it's way too short for almost 1 $30 game.
Anyway, it was still a simple yet basic game to play, honestly the horror kinda got you, like the mr hands guy, the chefs, the obese customers. It was pretty great!
for it being a horror platformer it does a good job. as it being a puzzle game it leaves much to be desired. Some puzzles making no sense or needing external help shouldnt be normal, or I suck at puzzles who knows. the atmosphere is 10/10 and really sets you in this weird, eerie world. I would def recommend
Amazing, simply amazing. It's a little short, but worth the money for sure
This game has the best graphics and is really fun sometimes
Here's a quick review of my thoughts after beating "Little Nightmares" on the PC.
+ Graphics are stellar. The dark artstyle that this game goes for is really hardcore and beautiful. And everything around the game gets complimented by these graphics as well. Monsters are highly detailed, scenery feels alive, so many particle effects. There is literally nothing wrong with these graphics.
+ Atmosphere is perfection. This world breathes with atmosphere. And having no dialogue or signs with texts helps boost the tone so much.
+ Overall scariness is more on the disturbed side than anything else. However, it works really well with this game. Yes, there are chase sequences and tense moments, but this game isn’t a horror game trying to freak you out. It’s just trying to make you really uncomfortable but equally curious in what’s going on and it nails that.
+ Controls are nice. Walking, crawling, running, jumping, throwing, and diving all feel good. It may feel like it’s hard to grab something when jumping but that’s usually because you didn’t jump high or well enough, coming from my experience.
+- Checkpoints are hit or miss. Half of the time, it’s right where you left off, and the other half is dropping you off two-to-three rooms over. Not a huge deal though because there are no lives in this game, but it is an annoyance.
+- Loading a chapter in the select menu starts you off only at the exact beginning of all four of them. Both Limbo and Inside had a much better system than this with literally ten times the number of locations you could start at. Kinda disappointing that Little Nightmares only did the bare minimum in the chapter select screen.
- A few “Okay, what was that?” moments in this game. Missing an easy jump, dying to a monster that sees you off-camera, and a few other similar moments are present. It’s really not too big of a deal though since you literally cannot get a “Game Over”, but how far out the checkpoints sometimes are and how unfair these handful of moments can be can create a bit of an annoyance to the player.
- Credits are 6 minutes long and unskippable even on a second playthrough. I really don’t know why that is.
Overall quality of experience: 8.4/10. I Really Liked this game. This game is tight. The atmosphere is top-notch, graphics are amazing, and the eerie and unnerving moments are (for the majority) a joy to play through. Personally, this tops both Limbo and Inside with it’s simple but deep tone and monster design. Yes, I did rank Inside a 0.1 score higher so it technically is the better game, but I personally vibe with Little Nightmare’s world more than Inside’s. I mean, I did beat it twice, which is more than I have to say for Inside. Overall, if you want a very simple and short game with deep atmosphere and unsettling moments, play this game. Just make sure you get it on sale cause $27 isn’t worth any 3-hour long game, just saying.
Really fun Experience,
Mysterious, You make your own interpretations,
Graphics, Environment and Music:
Dark, engaging, everything fits and fills your senses making room for nothing but you to hide, run, walk slowly, jump and escape, completing the masterpiece of dark art
Gameplay
Some frustration can happen, but it's doable, and you forget about it by.. wanting to know
Worth play, again if you feel like
P.S. I played part two awhile ago in diff platform and just played this now, making me want to play the second part again and see how things feels different
This game is way too short for 20 dollars. However I managed to get it for 5 and it was so much more worth. The game took me about the 3 hours to complete excluding dlc. The puzzles are really fun and the scary moments get really scary. Sadly the chapters were way too short. I would be enjoying a level and then the final chase/boss would happen. Overall wait for the game to go on sale, and play the 2 game first.
"Little Nightmares" is a captivating horror platformer with stunning graphics and a dark atmosphere. The clever puzzles and unique characters create constant tension. An unforgettable experience that shouldn't be missed!
Amazing game, one of my favorite horror series if not my favorite. Monster concepts are simple and effective, the soundtrack goes as hard as a horror game OST can, and the story serves as a simple and effective 'proof-of-concept' for The Nowhere and LN as a whole.
My only two problems are 1, the performance. (I have a pretty good computer and had to turn everything to the lowest in order for 144 FPS but even then there were 3-4 times where it would drop to below 10.) And my biggest issue, the controller rumble. It's a great idea if used effectively but it was used poorly in this game and brought me out of a already short game.
9/10. Looking forward to playing LN2 and LN3 later this year.
Short but very sweet is the best way I can put it, really forces you to investigate your environments to solve problems and progress as well as testing your quick thinking and reaction times to lethal situations. Casual players might not enjoy this game as much but those who enjoy a good challenge will find this appealing.
A few minor bugs got me stuck but there were so many checkpoints to the point that I don't think it really made a difference in my play-through.
Got this on sale for £3.99 ($5.16) but I think it's worth the original £8.99 ($11.62) that it has, absolutely would recommended this game.

I do have one critic with the blind man. He was very difficult to understand for a first major enemy and I had trouble trying to figure out how to manipulate his movements, going back and forth between running and crouching and taking at least 10 tries to pass him which took me out of the story a little bit. I still don't 100% understand how he works programming wise despite it being obvious that he is blind and you have to be quiet so he doesn't hear your next movements. Other than that he was a fun challenge once I got a semi-rhythm down.
★★★★★ 5/5 stars. Splendid game!!
Exceptionally striking art style.
Engaging game play, very fun physics-based platformer. Character movement / controls are satisfying.
Gripping suspense and horror moments. Very well paced, fun puzzles.
Great set pieces, fun stealth segments.
Excellent sound design.
Love the lil mushroom guys!
Nothing I say can really encapsulate how darn good this game is, and how worth your time and money it is. I would highly recommend it.
Duuude okay
Let me get this straight, Little Nightmares is awesome. If you're hesitating whether or not to buy it, I highly recommend you do so. I haven't even got to the ending, but everything about the game so far has been amazing, especially the graphics and the atmosphere. My only criticism is that some sections can feel a bit annoying if you have to repeat them.

Love the artwork. Love the type of creepy it makes me feel and adrenalin rushes that come along. It's great fun. I'm replaying it to get all achievements - its just enjoyable all around in its own artsy and creepy horrorish way. Thumbs up from me
Great art, Great story, Great sound, Game controls can be a little annoying.
Desafiante, interesante a nivel narrativo y que no dura más de lo que necesita.
There aren't enough words to describe how much I love this game. I only just played it for the first time within the past few months, but I have been following this franchise since I first saw an ad for this game in around 2016. It's beautiful, whimsical, charming, all while being dark, disturbing, and haunting. This game got me through some really weird times in my life and was incredibly comforting to me, as odd as that may sound. It helped me work through abuse in a healing and forgiving way. At the same time, when I first watched a play-through of it back when it was released, I was so disturbed. I felt like a deeply forgotten childhood trauma had been unlocked. I remembered nightmares I had as a small child where monsters would eat me alive and other such things. I remembered the helpless feeling of fear a child feels as an adult is intimidating them. I felt kind of uncomfortable I found something that resembled my nightmares as a child so much, and for a quite a while, I ignored the game so I didn't have to realize my pain. Having to confront those childhood fears and misfortunes was too much for me then, but eventually, I came back to it, and I've been touched by it ever since. It's incredible to me that a game with no words can speak so much more than games or shows that are entirely driven by dialogue. I love this game, and although I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, I just sit here shocked that it doesn't have the highest rating. Also, the music and sound design are BEAUTIFULLY done. Headphones are a must.
I honestly can’t stress enough how much I adore this game series! Played it to 100% completion on Switch, and now here I am on Steam, doing it all over again—because why not? 😂 Bring on Little Nightmares III! ❤️
Little Nightmares is, without a doubt, one of the most hauntingly beautiful and atmospheric games I’ve ever played. It’s an experience that lingers with you long after the credits roll, and it quickly became one of my all-time favorites. The eerie world, the unsettling characters, and the deeply immersive narrative all come together to create a truly unforgettable game.
The game’s art style is striking, with its twisted, dreamlike environments that are both captivating and terrifying. Each area is meticulously crafted to evoke a sense of dread, and the subtle details in the world-building make it feel alive, albeit in a nightmarish way. The use of lighting and sound adds layers to the atmosphere, with every creak, shadow, and distant noise keeping you on edge throughout the journey.
What really hooked me, though, is the character of Six. I was drawn to their quiet strength and vulnerability, and the way they moves through the world, as well as their interactions with the environment all tell a story without uttering a single word. It’s no surprise that I became such a fan of Little Nightmares, Six’s character left such an impression on me that I ended up getting their character tattooed on me as a way to commemorate just how much this game meant to me, from story telling, narrative without muttering a single world, the haunts and chilling psychological Horror aspects, everything.
The game-play itself is brilliant. It’s a mix of platforming, puzzle-solving, and stealth, all wrapped in a tense, almost claustrophobic atmosphere. The puzzles are challenging, but they never feel frustrating—every solution feels earned. The stealth mechanics are well-executed, and sneaking past monstrous enemies is an exhilarating experience.
While the story is told in a subtle, almost cryptic way, it’s clear that Little Nightmares is about more than just escaping a nightmare. It’s a commentary on fear, survival, and innocence lost. The game does a fantastic job of making you feel like you're trapped in a living nightmare.
If you love atmospheric, dark, and thought-provoking games, Little Nightmares is an absolute must-play. The game doesn’t just stick with you; it haunts you. And for me, it became so much more than just a game, it’s something I carry with me, quite literally.
With Little Nightmares 3 looming round the corner, I decided to replay the first one on PC since it has been a few years since my first playthrough on Xbox.
From the experience, the story is so good, the whole horror nature feels really eerie and well done and the DLCs are even better, the first being scary and the third one explaining a lot but also leaving you with more questions.
Now the controls are janky, sometimes you get stuck on a wall when running and the POV makes it hard to know the distance of most things. Story does feel short as I took my time and finished it in under 5 hours. A really good project, wish it was longer and the controls were better but other than that it is definitely worth playing.
I don't usually give long reviews but this is a personal favourite of mine so felt it deserved some respect and tried to keep it unbiased.
With the mix of cute and creepy, Little Nightmares is a a quirky Burton-esque adventure that truly feels like a childhood nightmare.
This game is amazing! i love the style and the backround music, wish there was explanation to the lore and/or story tho
Very good game,
100% complete the achievements, now I wait for little nightmares 3 since i completed both games
This is a very very good Horror game very detailed good graphics and more
Really fun! i'm up to the janitor, he's a bit creepy but a good challenge! Recommend if you want a slightly more chilled horror game.
Sound design. Character design. Story. DLC.
There is nothing I don't love about this game. The achievements and DLC tie-in to the main story make for a compelling and replayable game. There are things you'll notice after going through it once that just strike a chord in subsequent playthroughs and make you look at things differently. The gameplay is stressful at times, but never outright scary, making this a game for wide variety of people.
Absolutely love the atmosphere, levels, the horror and everything. I just can't get enough, keep them coming.
Little Nightmares is utterly brilliant, the story telling, graphics and and overall feel of the game is hard to explain because of how great it is. The backstory of the characters give you more and more to delve into and find out, the lore is exceptional and its an overall amazing game worth the money - 5 stars
Great story and moderate difficult level (I'm bad at the game). Overall very fun, would recommend, 9/10 :)
I spent waaay much more time in this game than I should have.
It doesn't take that long to finish it even with the achievments but something about the atmosphere causes me to want to replay it every now and then.
The ambient, the design, the art style, it's great.
Fantastic game. Lately its been my go to game. The perfect amount of suspense, challenge and atmosphere. Love the series.
great characters, monsters nd puzzles
Absolutely one of the best games that I have ever played with strong lore. If you are into lore. Please please checkout the comics, the little nightmares podcast as well as downloading the mobile game. There is so much back story on this it will definitely make you dive into a rabbit hole. I love this game so much. The storyline, art and especially the music. Just so phenomenal and amazing in every unique way.
fun and cute. I hit multiple fatal crashes in the final cutscene or other parts in game making me redo the speedrun and the final dlc having a bug where the door that's supposed to open doesn't. really lame to restart but charming and fun visuals with an interesting story bugs really blow when they do happen but cool game short worth with a discount price
Ten out of ten. first time using a keyboard so everything was more stressful and terrifying. my niece enjoyed it just as much
Cute creepy aesthetic game. It's fairly short and can be challenging at times. Works well on steamdeck
Amazing game, great atmosphere and story telling.
PEAK for how short the game is. After the ending im excited to play LN2 and definitely recommend trying this game.
Great game that is filled with suspense. The only thing is that it's a little short but other then that its a great game.
Little Nightmares is a series near and dear to my heart. So needless to say, I have nothing but praise for this game. Whilst the controls are a bit of a learning curve, it is not at all detriment to a player’s enjoyment. This game is an absolute masterclass in environmental storytelling. Every monster in this game is terrifying in the moment but loveable after the fact, Roger the Janitor is a great example of this. Throughout the game the monsters are given characterisation and their stories are told purely by things you can encounter in the environment. The level of detail Tarsier put into conveying and even humanising these monstrous creatures is truly outstanding. Additionally, the game’s thematic complexity is something else I greatly enjoyed. The game (particularly when considering the sequel), is an outstanding example of allegory and contains some of the most masterful examples of narrative parallels that I’ve seen in a game. The game is terrifying on a first playthrough, but on a later playthrough it becomes more intriguing. Because of the level of detail in the environment and secret nooks and crannies, the game is highly repayable. On every replay you will notice something you didn’t before, and it will add to the storyline or to the lore of the world overall. 10/10 one of my favourite games ever.
I really enjoyed this game. Art style is great and it's not difficult to the point where it takes away from the atmosphere. However, for PC, the mechanics regarding spacial awareness can be a little tasking, with it not being very obvious how "deep" to creep into the screen. The game was also pretty short. It's safe to say though that I enjoyed every bit of this game.
I love horror games but I don't like to play them myself. This one is an exception. Great game. It's also cute and the graphics are pretty great.
good horror game, great ideas at times with some of the levels but other times a bit simplistic, movement could be a bit janky and enemy ai too. But the atmosphere is insane, the last 10 minutes or so are heart wrenching. The game is short and im not sure its justified at 20 bucks but if you could get it on sale Id definitely go for it.
Super Game für Zwischendurch! Nicht allzu lang, aber wahnsinnig kreativ und spannend zum zocken!
Little Nightmares is an awesome platforming videogame with an horrifying background and an outstanding atmosphere. A great experience with an interesting Tim Burton's aftertaste.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3425051482
its a fun game takes not too long and even has bonus stages
I love the game mechanics of this game, the quality and movement is just *chefs kiss*. Would highly recommend. I'm not done with it yet but i can tell that i'll be satisfied!
"Little Nightmares" is such an "out of the box" experience. I don't know how to describe this GEM, this game is so CREEPY and CUTE at the same time. It's insane how these developers were able to tread that fine line so well, it paid off. I love the designs on all of the people and monsters in this game, the DLC "The Deeps" is definitely a treat for those with thalassophobia. This game definitely made my skin crawl! I loved every minute of the "close calls". Little Nightmares is a pretty short game in all fairness, it's about 3 hours (if you don't get too caught up on the puzzles).
The puzzles in this game are fun but some of them are tedious to be honest. None of them are mind bending or anything like that, everything you need is in the room that you're locked in. However, sometimes not everything is so well explained so you're lost trying to obtain the resolution for the puzzle you're spending 30+ mins on... ( yes that was me... TWICE). The controls are simple but JANKY at times. I did not enjoy the controls too much but the game wasn't that long...
All in all, I would recommend this game to the most casual gamer, it's a fun linear game filled with obstacles, creepy visuals and some puzzles in it.
8/10 - Wish it was longer (DLC MADE UP FOR IT)
10/10 - VIsuals/Design ( this game is creepy and pretty)
