10/10 the only game where you go from cool Monogon simulation to a god in 6 to 7 hours if you just wanted to gun through the game fast

You will get around 11 hrs of pure gameplay. It's a good game but can be a bit tiring and cause burnout. Inventory system is sometime flaw especially the one on the right waist area. Repetitive climbing or trying to get capsule to the end of the level is fatiguing. I would want this game to be around $15 instead of $20+

(Seriously Boneworks is a must buy if you can handle a little motion sickness, Despite some bugs i would still highly recommend buying this fun experimental sandbox shooter!)

So far I really like Boneworks. I only really just completed the Museum of Technical Demonstration, and i’m now in the city part. I did play Bonelab before this, so the physics are about the same. i’ll see how i like the game when i finish it tho

This game is legendary!! It is super realistic and also it is just a cool game.

Still (in my opinion) one of the greatest VR games to be released. No game will top the physics and handling of this game. If you plan on playing the sequel, Bonelab, PLEASE play this game first. They are both AMAZING games but experiencing Boneworks and all it has to offer before hopping into its sequel is the best way to experience the Monogon world.

Every time i start having fun it gets broken up by some physics puzzle that doesnt work and i have to brute force it

It's good with mods. But the campain is the best out of every vr game i played so far (not as good as hla but close)

Amazing story its great for its time you should get this game if you want story. the loading screens are long but other than that you should get this game as long as you have the right PC your set.

The story mode is so fun! The guns are satisfying to use, and the hand to hand combat is really fun.

i have'nt completed the game yet but its very fun everything is good like the grapics to the gameplay the game is perfect

you may have seen this game on your tiktok feed doing trickshots, and may be wondering: :"is it worth the money?" Yes. The gameplay is very good, the interactions feel on point, and the campaign has exceptional level design.
The story gets so deep when you understand it.
I may have only 1.8 hours of gameplay as of this review, but i played the labworks (unoffical) port on bonelab (also worth getting), but im still glad i got this game. If youre new to vr, maybe wait a few months to get used to it, as theres a lot of throwing around in this game, but after, play it! You may be terrified by the crablets though :(

a pretty well-made game on top of being boundary-pushing. surprisingly unintimidating given how some people talk about it, just a fun and at times mildly scary adventure with some cool unlockable sandboxes and mechanically inventive physics interactions

Super great game, amazing physics, extremely interactive, and satisfying story. Also has many other game modes, you won't get bored. However, 30$ is a bit much, I would wait for a discount or sale.

Boneworks is fun, Boneworks is more puzzle based, Bonelab is more combat and time.

it us a very fun sandbox game with a story mode that is very good. My only problem that i have is audio qlitches (IDK if anyone else has these) where the game sound doesnt come out of my headset (I play oculus)
so i have to wear my headphones under the headset which is very annoying. The second game bonelab is $40 and doesnt have a better story play this if you like sandbox/story/VR/gun games.

an amazing game to play, especially if your a Max Payne fan. and like to mess with the physics in games.

took me 10 hours to beat this game. W campaign, 10/10.

Tested on Quest 3S with Steam link full wireless, it's good, no issues.
I first played Bonelab on Quest and loved it but it lacked a real "campaign" feel. Boneworks's only downside is that the climbing in Bonelab is better but I heard that they will (finally) port Boneworks for Quest, which I will happily re-buy there to support the devs.

great story great sandbox great weapons my only promblem is theres no modding support I hope the boneworks remaster is a free update to people who already own the game and theres mod support like in bonelab.

I think you should get Boneworks bc its a fun sandbox and the mods are good but dont even get me started about the campaign because it is SOOO much better than Bonelab's campaign but Boneworks is kind of an outdated game but they might give it a revamp soon so its worth a try.

i got a better computer. now instead of overheating after suplexing 60 guys, i can suplex 180 guys before the thing shits itself. amazing game.

For those wondering if this works on pico, IT DOES and very well. love the physics systems, so happy then made a second game, gotta love beating the fuck out of ford

BEST vr game i have ever played, it includes a detailed and fun campaign/story and even after you finish the story you can mess about in the sandbox for a long time without getting bored

succeeds as a physics sandbox on VR with a plethora of things to experiment with, but overall isn't the most compelling game. if you need a game to just mess around in for some time and absorb some of those Portal 1 and 2 vibes from, this is great.

for a 6 year old game boneworks holds up considerably better than bonelab in my opinion, likely due to bonelab being on quest 2 , this means that boneworks looks amazing and runs perfect on my quest 3 attached to my computer using airlink, this game is now one of my favourite vr games, even after only playing for 3 and a half hours, its well worth the £25 i spent

This is literally one of the best vr games that I have ever played. The physics are great. The fact that you have complete freedom of choice in this game is amazing. Everything in this game is physical. And reacts with your physical in-game body. I think that the collectibles are a little bit of a headache, and the climbing is a little finicky, but those are my only complaints. Overall, amazing game I would give it a solid 9.5/10

The physics are great and the game is fun. It also has plenty of replayability in the campaing. however the fact that you need to find every wepon every npc capsle... it gets anoying after a while because you don't know were anything is. However the sandbox is one of the best part of the game when you do get all of the items for the sandbox. (I do have dyslexia so... sorry for the bad spelling)

This game is good and holds up very well in 2024. Although it doesn't have cloud saving and replaying first couple of missions is pain, after you are done with those rather annoying and extremely slow paced missions, the game fully opens up to much more fun puzzles and actual action that you can partake in. Game annoying at start, but fun when you are past those first couple hours

I LOVE THIS GAME. by far the is the best SLZ game. The story is amazing. the physics are great and it has so many mods. if ur computer can run it, GET IT

While I will say that I have been playing more Bonelab (Fusion, and some of the mods being better, etc.) I will still always love Boneworks and how it felt when I first played this game. And now with a potential patch 7 on the way for PC, bringing it into Marrow 2, I am very happy that this game is getting the extra love it needs to really bring it to the best that it can be, both performance and feeling wise.

This game is great, but yes, it's a bit outdated now since Bonelab came out. The mod support is better in Bonelab, and it has more features, like the modding SDK, a bigger storyline, and smoother game mechanics. However, since Bonelab is somewhat of a sequel, I recommend playing this for some of the story. As for overall gameplay, this game is nostalgic—it was the first VR game of its kind. Back in 2021, I absolutely enjoyed playing this, and now I'm enjoying Bonelab on the Quest 2.

This game has a great physics engine. I would recommend this game to all of my friends. Each level has its own unique environment. Honestly, this game may have to be running on a computer to play the game but it was meant for valve index and was never meant for a regular meta headset. 9.5/10, my one problem is the gripping. This game was a great experience to the physics engine and how it showed real time lighting. I remember how I learned about this 3 years ago when i really wanted a VR headset and never thought i need a PC to run this game. This is one of my best purchases since i got Bonelab. I would 100% recommend this to all my friends.
