This game is very fun to play, assuming you play with addons cause the base game only allows you to play with the hl2 assets... but then again, why would you not play with mods, when it has mod in the title. I wanna give a thank you to the Vanoss crew, as well as Shootabirdie for showing me this masterpiece. Much love

It's just ridiculous and funny. It's also nostalgic because I grew up watching videos of the game but only started playing it recently. Play it, it's no doubt great late night party fun.

this is a decent game ngl, still got an active community 19 years later. single player can get a bit boring but multiplayer is great. has some really good mods on steam workshop ngl.

If you want the experience you would've had years ago, just avoid the front page. There are still good addons out there, and hell most of the old ones still function unless they were taken down due to relating to copyrighted material. Arguably the most iconic sandbox of the last couple decades and for a good reason.

After my wife left me i felt so down,but after laying this game i realized i could G00n to alstofo all day and it made me happy.So i recommend to players wondering if they should buy it

The best sandbox game of all time. The physics, the communities, the mods, the engine, you name it, always a grand time.

I really hope this review reaches the right person. StarWars rp is the best thing to ever exist since Coke (the drink lol silly willy) I've made countless memories while roleplaying as a clone trooper. I met a friend who will forever be bound to my soul for his countless hours and guidance on the roleplay server. Thank you Thomas Stroud aka Chippy of the 41St you will remain in my mind until the end of time.

dont have too much fun or your PC will not like it, but overall very optimized, 10/10

if u do not mass mod this game it is not fun at alli dont reccomend if u dont have space bc without atleast 50 mods u cannot play but with the mods it is a 8/10 mods get boring fast i have 50 pages of mods

Melhor jogo sandbox que já joguei, Garry's mod se destacou pra mim totalmente não só pela sua física muito realista mas também pela imensidão de mods do Workshop permitindo o jogador expandir sua experiência imensamente.

Alguns Pontos positivos :

1- Jogo leve :
Roda na maioria dos Pcs fracos sem problemas (como o meu Celeron 10007U), claro que alguns addons podem deixar a experiencia mais "lagada" que o jogo base.

2-Jogo totalmente customizavel :
Mapas, armas, npcs, e diversas entidades interativas, isso é só o topo do Iceberg de todas as possibilidades que voce poderá encontrar de customizar sua experiência ao máximo.

3- tem suporte a vários dos jogos Valve:
Ao adiquirir outros jogos Valve voce tem a vantagem de manipular modelos 3d, armas e etc outros items desses jogos dentro do Garry's mod (alguns só possíveis instalando alguns addons), mas com eles voce tem a vantagem de transformar sua experiencia em algo novo.

Pontos negativos :
1- VOCE VAI FICAR VICIADO, E NUNCA VAI CONSEGUIR TER UMA VIDA. :)

Play this alone no mods. still good. play this without mods with friends, great. play alone with mods, great. play mods with friends, then you can sleep knowing you did the right thing in your life and you won't fear the demons under your bed who used to want you dead but now know you have made your best future. this game is gold in every way.

This game is amazing! I've played it since childhood. The possibilities are endless in G-Mod. The diverse market of mods make the game really fun, and not get boring fast. There are plenty of opportunities for the player to get creative throughout the game!

I do have to say though, Co-Op with your friends isn't the best. You have to have the exact same mods installed or it takes a million years to load, depending on how many mods you have. Otherwise, I recommend this game to anyone interested in a Sandbox, open-world game!

Honestly The best Game I have ever Player. It changed my whole Life. I had so many fun Nights with my Friends. If anyone would ask me What Game he should Play I would say Garry's mod, eitler YouTube Want Play with your Friends, Build something, Shoot something or just wanna expierience the realistic physics its Perfect for you. Steam Asks me if I would recommend this Game and I would absolutly do that.

I feel like the key thing that sandbox games have to get right no matter what is, balance. The appeal of a sandbox game is that you want to give your player the sense of being able to "do whatever you want, however you want" in an open environment but in achieving that you have to be able to give your players enough "tools" to work with to be able to give them an idea of what they would like to do, but you don't want instruction manuals telling them that "no, you cant do that. you can only do this thing in this specific and restrictive formula" and the challenge of designing a game like this is achieving a satisfying mix of both.

Garry's Mod, of course, does a brilliant job of handling this balance while setting itself apart from other sandbox games because of it's strong focus on physics and it's smart and subtle design that tickles your brain without you even realising it.

gm_construct is such an iconic map in not just in gmod but video games as a whole, you have these big, grey and empty industrial buildings contrasting heavily with a bright green flat grassland in front of you inviting you to play and there's enough mystery in these buildings with weird abstract rooms that make 0 sense, you really feel like exploring this game more and as a result, try to break it.
The tools give you just a brief enough description of how they work, you try them out, improvise and then you fail and that honestly the overall game loop. For me a lot of the fun i get from this game i would assume is similar to how people feel when playing jazz or doing programming, you can spend like an hour trying to build a car with boxes for wheels and sinks for thruster thinking you have a great idea for some stupid contraption only for it to fall apart miserably.

But even when you fail, you're always learning. And always encouraged to go at your own pace. Garry'd mod is one of those special games where it quite literally is not just a game, it's an all purpose software tool that you can use to create, destroy, share but most importantly have fun through the game's timeless design in being a teaching tool where the developer is silently cooperating with the player to make them learn.

darkrp servers are power-tripping nightmares, everything else is dead or so overrun by cancerous ui mods it's borderline unplayable

I'm trying not to present word salad here, in my praise of this game. It's really hard to describe, in honesty.

I'm gonna do it anyway. Creative freedom. A sort of digital third place? A very open, and social online space full of cool folks. This was back in like 2019, but I'm sure there's still nice communities out there.

I recommend this game highly.

a great choice if you want to play a sandbox game and it is very easy to install and keep track of mods/addons and even if you dont add anything it has a wide selection of things to do

So, i played Garry's mod for 2 years or so, when i played Garry's mod for the first time, i don't know the keys but now i know. Well it's nice for you to read this...

its a good game extreme ragdolls and unrealistic lighting navemash doesnt work and building things are very hard but its an amazing game so i sugest it. also i know noone is going to read this so im gay.

I know a lot of people like this game but i find it really boring. its alright for goofing around for 5 minutes but if you want to build something then its pretty much impossible because of how complicated and awkward it is and half the time other people just destroy what you've been working on. The game doesn't even allow me to disable the death sound which is a problem because i have extremely sensitive hearing. Even when I get a mod to disable the sound, being exploded just causes the ringing anyway. I have had to take pain medication for the headaches this causes even when the game is quiet the pitch is painful. So I have to play it muted.

really fun game you can do a lot of things like building, fighting, surviving tornadoes if you get the mod, etc.

I was raised on this game, it is what you make it. You can do basically whatever source engine allows in this game. Huge workshop (WHY NINTENDOOOOOOOO) and a very interesting (to say the least) community.

I fully support the iPad Kids using this game to recreate skibidi toilet as GMOD Machinimas were also my introduction to the Half Life series.

this is prob the best and funniest game to play with your friends and just by yourself this game is also free therapy

Fun game to play with friends and geinuenly amazing overall the amount of chaos you can create is what makes it PEAK! 1000/10 would recommend to any gamer new and old

this is so cool you can do whatever you want with mods and source games

Garrys mod is both a curse, and a blessing.
I've met some of the greatest people through this game, I've had a lot of fun too.
HOWEVER.
I have wasted hours upon hours of my life (way less then some of the others I've met) on this game, all MOSTLY on 1 server.
This game is very good, but its very easy to get sucked in, and waste months of your life on it.

Absolutely great game, Tons of addons to use, Tons of stuff you can do in it, The sky is pretty much the limit, Overall, 10/10 would recommend, Even better with friends.

A game that originally takes 2% of your storage space but actually takes 88% for your storage space

Good game also no people in multiplayer saying the n word and also no Nazi roleplay and My Little Pony roleplay except for one server I recommend this game and for other people even racing car people except that I'm black I would recommend this game because I am the first black person to play the game

So this game is like really fun but sometimes the game bugs
