One of my favorite video games from the 90s. Sprites are nice (but the maps itself seems to be fully 3d), soundtrack is one of the best, but setting of the game is what I like the most-futuristic city, mall overrun by zombies, some kind of industrial zone and sewers, scifi weapons, also some gothic elements like a church in the middle of the city, which has sort of easter egg in it. And then ofcourse the final two levels of the game that are quite different from the main zombie theme. The downside is the level design, which can be quite confusing and it demands some patience, but once I finished the game, the second playthrough was much more enjoyable. Graphically it was outdated even when it came out and it looks similar to Terminator Future Shock 1995 or Alien Trilogy 1996 (probably the closest similarity, this game also has awesome ost). So Its not perfect or anything, It just has this uncanny vibe, certainly helped by the soundtrack. (Some advices for beginners: The screen size of the game itself can be increased or decreased by the ´´+ and = keys next to Backspace key; radar and flashlight can be switched on/off by F2/F3 keys; dont forget to setup keys for weapon upgrades, its useful for the bossfight) I didn't find manual anywhere so I had to figure it out myself. I also recommend replacing the dosbox app with a newer version, then it runs a bit better.
Jumping into this game late, I found myself disappointed. While the zombie apocalypse setting intrigued me, the outdated gameplay and lackluster story failed to captivate.
