re
It's a nice game but when i faced a glitch my enjoying is over
i just stuck in (bug) checkpoint
only way to carry on close the game and re-open it
full of errors
Funny game
Can never have enough glitches, can we?
I would not recommend getting this game for one dollar, much less for fourteen.
I was deceived by a decent look of the game and bought it for few cents at some sale.
It was not worth it.
Whoever is responsible for the sprites in this "game", you should know, you did a great job.
But all the other aspects... argh.
If you think there is some story, there is none.
1. Menu is just two buttons and you are forced to click them by mouse.
2. Controls. A + D + space + mouse button. I have no idea why I was forced to use the mouse again in a 4 buttons game.
3. 'LOOser' and 'chAckpoint'. Amount of text in the game is not much more above it and yet 2 misspellings.
4. Not bad background music in an awful short loop.
5. BUGS GLITCHES and more BUGS. After reaching one of the chAckpoints and then dying, the game went crazy, removed floor tiles and binded the character with some invisible chains so the froggy couldn't move in any direction. Couldn't even kill itself.
5. In this situation I tried to ESC to menu, but nothing happened.
So I finished playing at this point.
Avoid.
Not bad game, but full screen not work.....
This "game" should be for free on NewGrounds or at least on Steam Greenlight also for free, no wait actually you should be PAYED for playing this.
got this for 0.10$, refunded and got a steam card instead 0.3/10
gamesense
10 bucks for this...Are you sure?
Fortunately I've got this for 10 cents, so in my opinion:
Kinda okay... In this case, I'm not the looser...
This is an amateurish, poorly designed and buggy game with a b♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-a♥♥ price. $10? For this? Are you kidding!? No. No they're not. Because this game apparently used to be $18. Who in their right mind would pay $18 for this?
* The game over screen is misspelled. It's "loser", not "looser". Tip of the iceberg, gents.
* The controls are nonsense. WASD+Space+Mouse makes sense for an FPS, but this is obviously not an FPS. Why the hell do I need to go back and forth between the keyboard/gamepad and mouse? You need the mouse to shoot and restart the game. You cannot configure the controls. In fact, you can't configure anything. Play and exit are the only two options you get. Literally why even have a menu?
* The music is too short, and it isn't good enough to justify it. It sounds like somebody threw together a couple two-second loops in FL Studio and called it a day. If you play this for longer than 5 minutes, it will drive you crazy.
* The game is glitchy. I experienced a lot of random slipping and sliding, and jump heights were very inconsistent.
* Poor UI. When given the chance to restart the level or exit, exit doesn't take you back to the menu--it exits the game. Kinda makes sense considering that there's only play and exit, but you should change the label to clearly indicate what it does. Also, mouse controls. Why can I not use the keyboard/gamepad to navigate the menu? Do you realize how tedious it is to go back and forth like I mentioned earlier?
* The gameplay overall is like a low quality flash game. Why am I playing this on steam for $10 and not on Newgrounds for free?
* The art looks like a flash game. Expect a little more polish in a game that was at one point priced nearly 20 bloody dollars. It's charming in Toss the Turtle. Not here.
* The level design is uninteresting. I have no desire to get to the end of level 2, let alone make any meaningful progress in the game.
* Character hardly looks like a frog, let alone a demon frog. Actually, he kinda looks like Trowzer from Yooka Laylee.
And it just gets worse the longer you play. And remember: ALL OF THIS^ this happened to me in less than 5 minutes.
Look, I don't have anything against flash games. Flash games are awesome. They're awesome because they're like this gritty everyman thing. Anybody could make a flash game. Anybody could watch a couple youtube tutorials and throw together a piece of crap in an afternoon. And some of those crap artists grew up to make some great games. The homebrew nature combined with the ease of distribution (being free content designed for streaming) is what made flash work. And in terms of flash games, this is like a 2-star newgrounds flash game.
There's just one problem--this isn't a flash game. It's a premium PC game that is currently $10, and was $18 earlier.
Learn how to polish a game before you charge money for it.
It's a frog
It's a demon
It's fun and it's 99 xents.
Ribbit.
It plays like a beta test...
I really like the concept of this game, a platform/shoot-em-up is a cool idea. It definately needs alot of work though. the pixel graphics are nice, but it doesnt run full screen. A start menu would be great to change sound & video settings. Controller support would be cool too, i was able to change the layout through big picture mode, but i still had trouble when selecting restart after dying. i havent played the game long enough to give a full review yet, but so far i would recomend it, as long as you catch it on sale.
if they can fix these issues and maybe throw in some polished touches (like a level map or different characters to choose from) i can see myself paying more for a 2.0 version.
Bought this for around 2 dollars discounted from 18
This game will NEVER merit an 18 purchase
- Menu has to be controlled by mouse even though the rest of the rest of the game can be played with game pad. You'll die alot which leaves you constantly putting down your game pad and leaning forward to grab your mouse
-Character sprite only faces to the right rather or not you're moving left or right
-Checkpoints can bring you back so that you're trapped or stuck in the platforms unable to move & forcing a hard reset to get out of the game (unless playing windowed).
-Soundtrack is catchy but it's the same two lines repeated over and over again
+Good artwork for the sprites
Final Score
Steam needs sister site for amateurs / 10
A vertical shooter platform game.
Needs volume control and a highscore table.
And "TRY AGAIN ?" would be much better than "LOOSER"...
Get it if its in promotion.

The Short of it: A "rager" of a tower climbing platformer. Unless you are highly sedated, you will rage. You will rage quit. And then you will double click that little icon and climb again. Don't pay more than $1 IMO.
Reminds me of: If you liked Downwell, you'll probably like Frog Demon, because then you can go Upwell *buh-dum-tishh*
Graphical style is fun. Controls are a bit iffy though - I felt like they were too slippery. Controller support would do wonders for this game, as it does for any platformer. Proper full-screen mode would have been a plus too. Menu consists of Play or Quit, that's it.
It should be noted I paid about 30 cents for this game in a bundle, which I thought was worth the fun (and rage) I got out of it, but I am VERY surprised to see it as a regularly priced $14.00 (Canadian), which IMHO is crazy. If you pay more than $1 for this, I think you will be unhappy. That's just my opinion, but $14 feels like it's a mistake or something.
