A Tale of Brave Knights and Whimsical Deeds
Hark, goodly folk! Attend thine ears, for I shall regale thee of a most wondrous game hight Castle Crashers. 'Tis a merry adventure wrought by The Behemoth, wherein valiant knights don their arms and set forth on quests of mirth and peril alike.
In this digital tapestry, thou takest on the mantle of a noble knight sworn to rescue fair maidens and vanquish wicked foes. The lands be many and varied: forests thick with treachery, icy realms of biting cold, and castles festooned with devilish trickery. Full oft shall ye clash with foes monstrous and strange — barbarians wild, necromancers foul, and beasts born of chaos.
The art, 'tis as though an illuminator gone mad with whimsy didst craft it; bright, bold hues doth dance 'pon thine eyes, whilst the humor, oft japing and bawdy, causeth much jollity. Verily, the jests are many, yet beneath such merriment lieth challenge. Lo! The battles test thy mettle and wit alike.
Gather, then, thine brethren, for up to four souls may embark on this quest together. Whether thou dost cleave through foes side by side or strive to best each other in contest, such camaraderie doth render the game most joyous.
The music, too, be most pleasing — a melody of valor, peril, and triumph that doth urge thee ever onward.

Just a perfectly fun game!!
Do not recommend playing alone, this game is literally design to play with friends, it's just so much better. Easy to learn, easy to get people on board and have a good time. And the fights at the end of each boss to see who gets the princess makes the game just so much fun.

A boy named isfamoose try hardened and flys and hits to much to lvl up while we had to fight for scraps would not recomend

This game is the definition of nostalgic peak game play, not over exaggeration. TONS of fun with co-op couch play especially. Give this a go ASAP!
I'm surprised how fulfilling it is to castle crash. Many cute yet slay-able enemies keeping the player from their beloved princesses. Hours of challenging game play that, while simple to pick up, leaves combos to master. 10/10 would recommend playing with your middle school buddies on Kenny's X-Box 360. ^-^
The gold standard of 2d hack and slash games, among the best arcade games ever released for the Xbox360. Most importantly, the game has a deer that propels itself with explosive diarrhea. I give it a pooping forest owl of justice out of 10!.
Used to play this game all the time with my brother and cousin growing up and we loved it! Still the same excitement playing it now... and probably better problem-solving skills than back then LOL. It's enjoyable and manageable playing it single-player but sometimes you can really tell that it's supposed to be a multiplayer game - it's more fun with a buddy or three anyways.

i bought this game while its on a discount, best choice of my life. variative and cool characters, awesome mechanics, and a fun gameplay (if you ignore the grind). i literally bought this game half year ago, and became one of my best games that i have of all time.

this game brings me lot of memories of lot of walkthrough .... some positive some wiht not clever no longer my friends .... game looks soo cute but lot of easter eggs was hiden inside. and it is brutal hack and slash game with simple story also play this solo and stil love this
Brute is the most complex and deeply compelling character. I highly recommend using him if you plan to. And if you don't have him, Get him. When i was starting out the game, I saw the absolute unit of a knight during the Industrial castle level. My instant thought was "I want to be that beast". Thus began my research. I found out I needed to complete the game with Iceskimo, A character you obtain by beating the Icy arena. So once I had beat the game with Green Knight I almost spontaneously began grinding for Brute. But I couldn't defeat it the first time. I was devastated until I retried, over, and over and over again until my 7th attempt that I had finally gotten him. Now as for the character itself: You can tell by just the emotion by the color of his armor. A dark, faint. forest green color symoblises his nature of being a beautifully written character. Down to the scars and dents in his armor shows that he's been through traumatic experiences. Brute cannot be outmatched, His thorns show his persistence and indombitable spirit. Let's not forgot his acorn, a beautiful item that represents himself; A hard shell. But magic aside he is, as his name suggests: A powerful Brute who always faces challenges without hesitation. His beginner weapon is a dual prong sword. A sword that literally gives you a 3+ stat increase on strength and defense. But despite his menacing, intimidating, stature, He is a gentle giant. He is only shown almost twice in the game as an enemy, you know why? Because he is a strong, peaceful and humble giant. Wouldn't even hurt a fly. So despite his mighty strengths and incredible size, He yet is a pacifist and always leans to the side of the righteous. That is why Brute is factually the best character in not just Castle Crashers, But also all of fiction.
Amazing game from my childhood. There is a lot of content with all the different playable characters and builds you can do. They also have a cool DLC coming soon too, even though it's been 12 years since the game was released.
My favorite part was when the Crashers said "It's Castlin' time." and started castling all over the place. Truly a Newgrounds moment
Despite being an old game from way long ago, this game still hold pretty well. It has your classy beat;em up adventure, saving the world, and even added stuff for multiplayer like fighting over who gets kissed by the princess when you rescue them. I'd recommend anyone to give this game a try.
One of the worlds greatest games ever created. If you haven't played it you are missing out on a piece of gaming history that still is fun to this day. If you need a group to play with add me, I'm always down to start another game.

This game is an absolute gem. It is exquisite in many many ways. This game perfectly captures what it's like to be a "Castle Crasher". From a young age, I have always dreamed of becoming said "Castle Crasher", and with this game, my dream has been fulfilled, so I formally thank you, "The Behemoth".
Kinda violent so at least age of 6 or 7, its about killing enemies and beating levels, you can pick a knight at the start.
I played this game on console however this is my first time playing it on pc , when i did play it i just fucked of the main story didn't save any princesses and just did 1v1s with my mate
really fun, i recommend playing this for fun adventure, fighting, and mini-games, and story. though i want an idea for the update but its probably gonna take long, the idea is to make a new map/story to the game. this might take a long time but, developers i hope you are seeing this and hoping you are having a good thanks giving.
This game was one of the first games I played on steam, I love how you can choose between many knights, also the blacksmith and pink knight dlc. This is the best game to play with other people and had so much fun. I give it a 5 star.
Yeahhhhhhh no. If this was the same game I remember playing on my xbox, this would be a thumbs up. For some reasons though the devs thought it a good idea to increase every bosses health bar by 3-4 time the amount it used to be. And increase some enemy health. Due to this fact, it feels like forever to beat this game. Its not fun like it used to be

Super fun to play, bosses are hard, would def recommend to play in public servers or with friends.
Great oldie, but a goodie. It is slightly difficult, but you can take things a little slow. It is a pretty short game (probably under 8 hrs) and fun with friends!
And this is why you do drugs kids, so you can make more games like this

I've completed this game way too many times, not on Steam, but over separate consoles/devices. (Such as an older devices my father had, or my Switch.) This game is fun, but highly recommended to play with other people. I like the leveling system + attributes (Strength/Magic/Defense/Agility), though after a certain point it becomes harder because you will start gaining 1 point towards attributes rather than the usual 2. I really miss the 'All You Can Quaff' game where you spammed buttons to eat food as fast as possible to win, I was great at that game. Great memories from this game.

Castle Crashers is a great game. I loved the original, I love this and all it adds and I can't wait for the long awaited DLC.
Pretty good. Normal isn't too hard but beware, Insane mode is super hard, but you do not have to do much in insane to progress. just like three characters. you should probably buy if you like fighting or combat games.

it's cheap, funny, has a decent skill ceiling and is Just Really Good
Fun game. I used to play it on the 360 all the time as a kid. There is various levels with different designs, making for a unique game-play experience. There is also many different weapon combos, character and pet combos, the choices are endless! You should definitely purchase the game!
