This game quickly became one of my favourite games, and for good reason. This 2D game developed by The Behemoth, combines colourful visuals, humorous charm, and highly engaging combat mechanics that make it hard to put down. From the start, I was impressed by its simple yet deep gameplay, which is easy to learn but offers plenty of room for mastery.
The combat is fast paced and satisfying, with a variety of attacks and magic abilities for each of the game’s unique characters. Whether you're freezing enemies, casting fireballs, or summoning lightning, each knight feels distinct and offers a different playstyle. The ability to level up characters and unlock new abilities kept me invested, and I loved how the magic system complemented the physical combat, allowing for more dynamic, strategic play.
What truly SURPRISED me during my gameplay experience was the addition of pets. These quirky companions not only provide emotional charm but also offer useful benefits like extra damage, treasure hunting, or healing. The extra layer of customization through pets gave me a reason to experiment with different combinations and strategies.
However, the real fun began when I played Castle Crashers in co op mode. The multiplayer experience, whether local or online, was a chaotic yet incredibly fun experience. Working with friends to take down large enemies or solve puzzles provided countless memorable moments. The unpredictability of battles, coupled with the ability to revive teammates and strategise together, kept me coming back for more.
The game’s humour also shines through in every moment from its quirky enemies to the absurd boss fights. The bright, cartoonish art style and whimsical tone make it an enjoyable experience, even when the action gets intense. I
I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who enjoys playing hack, slash, and smash type of games.
this game is amazing soo many parts made me laugh and the combat is very good and it makes it more fun when you bring in friends and i LOVE how much effort was but into this game but made for gamers who like PVP stuff lol
i really enjoy the game. very fun with friends! love the game play / style, the controls are a bit weird on keyboard (would recommend a controller for this) sad it does not support play station controls :( however definitely makes for a fun night with friends. can be frustrating at the beginning. especially if being a low level going into higher levels. I felt very blue balled in some cases with the XP gain but still a fun time :) solid 9 / 10 would play more :)

One of my top 5 games of all time easily. The gameplay is extremely fun and includes so many secrets, hidden interactions, and wiki-requiring easter eggs that you don't really see in games anymore. Castle Crashers is an amazing game that the devs clearly cared deeply about. I was super excited to see it was getting a DLC so I decided to buy the remastered version on Steam after sinking in dozens of hours on the classic xbox 360 version and it very much still holds up.
This game is pretty much a modern classic. Easily one of the best beat-em-ups ever. Graphics and gameplay hold up perfectly today, and most likely will for a long time into the future.
It's Castle Crashers, there is nothing I can say that hasn't been said, it is a game of my childhood and is a must buy for anyone who enjoys co-op games.
This game is a simple, fun brawler with many extra like multi-player, etc. On top of all of that, the music kicks ass!
I love the juggling mechanic, not just for how satisfying it is, but also for how much it makes me need to try harder to master it.

Castle Crashers is my favorite game by far. I have been playing it since 2013 and I had a lot of fun since then. furthermore, a dlc is going to be released this year (2025) and I recommend everybody to buy this game.
Classic hack-n-slash arcade beat-em-up. Online multiplayer saves the day so you don't have to rely on couch co-op to experience the chaos of insane mode.

A classic game with a visually appealing style. The moveset is pretty simple but timing attacks to endlessly attack enemies in the air and even fly is useful and also a lot of fun. Somewhat limited in terms of replayability, but find a group of friends to play it with and you'll have a pretty good time. Insane mode serves as a very excruciating yet rewarding challenge after finishing normal mode, so give it a shot if you're able to. Definitely one of my favorite games of all time.

I played the single player mode and it get's boring quick. It get's even more boring having to avoid projectiles or rick being stun-locked. Light attack-run away. Light attack-run away. Light attack-runaway. That's what it comes down to.

awesome game, i remember when i played this on my xbox 360, good times, i'd buy this game if i were you, and if you played back then, this game was fricking sweet, and it still is a pretty good game even after 11 years, game still is good, so overall, if you're looking for a game that is 2d, and for fighting, and to play with friends, this is mostly the game to play.
Childhood game, nothing but peak! Use to play sometimes with my neighborhood friend next door, always had a blast playing it lwk. Game can get difficult but I loved it regardless, love to take on a challenge, fire game fr. 10/10 nothing to expand upon.

I may only have 5 hours on the PC version, but on the Xbox versionI have well over 1,000. This game is one of the best games I've ever played. Even if the Side-Scroller adventure games arent ur type, you would probably still enjoy this game. Fantastic replayability with many different charecters, and the fantastic multiplayer. I would very highly reccomend to anybody thinking abt buying this game.

Every time I try to play with my friends, the game kicks me out after a moment. It says "The game is no longer available.". I googled it, but I couldn't find a solution. Just please tell me the reason WHY. It's a good game but....

Bought this game because I had some leftover money in my steam account and 1 hour later I bought the pink knight from this game very good graphics and gameplay the graphics are not crazy but they are pretty cool and it is quite a funny game!
Very redundant and a difficult to walk away from game. Not meaning you're glued to it but that you cannot walk away from it. Its only really fun on multiplayer, but for that reason alone is why I am leaving a good review. The multiplayer game play is very fun. Basically it's a game like those classic "TMNT" fighting style games where you face screen and screen of side scrolling fights where you bludgeon monsters to death slowly or evade certain mechanics. There seems to be a handful of people still alive on the online play, and I will be playing this a bit more for sure. It can seem overwhelming to new arriving people but there does seem to be a lot of content to the game.
Hands down, the best game I have ever played. Everyone should get this game to experience the absolute masterpiece that it is.
