pvz 2 is ass dont get it
It is a fun game that is't difficult and gets harder as you play, but a simple game. If you are a young person it is fun to play to waste time and the different attacks that get more difficult. For someone like me, who had cancer and now has chem brain and the systems of parkerson (but not the disease) this is a good game and good for kids.
For many players, PvZ holds a nostalgic value as it brings back memories of when they first discovered the joy of tower defense games. Its enduring popularity is a testament to its timeless appeal and the fond memories it has created for many.
A lot of people said that this game cemented popcap as, "The king of casual, and i completely agree. I grew up playing this game on mobile and now that im playing it on PC, i truly realize how amazing this game actually is. 10/10, would recommend.
It's just addictively fun, and the soundtrack is excellent. It's way too bad what happened to this franchise, because the original is perhaps the best tower defense game ever made (not that I've played too many).
high apm. only the greatest thinkers of this century play this game. the pure skill and mechanical ingenuity required to achieve post 80 flags in endless survival may even be on level with pro starcraft players. nerf football zombies btw
Classic. My boy loves Plants vs. Zombies which is pretty cool. Got to play it when it first came out and now enjoy it with my boy who's pretty darn into the whole PVZ universe and it's great to enjoy it as a father and son.

Spectacular game with great replay ability. this is my first time playing the computer version but its just as good as when I was a kid.
Looking at this and comparing it to the modern PVZ, it's still a shame EA doesn't give a shit about it's franchises anymore.
PVZ started off simple, balanced and fun, but now all of that is being washed away when it comes to PVZ 2's In game purchases system, and how EA is going for somewhat of a hero shooter game within Modern times for PC gaming as well as consoles.
All time classic, runs well, a lot of fun for 2 to 3 rounds. Now I would like a new one. Have actively played for 110h apparently though. I get it out every four years or so :)

A classic that can't really die (unless if EA decides to screw up this version to like they did with the mobile version).
Playing Plants vs. Zombies was a fun trip down memory lane. It definitely still holds up as a fun and intuitive game, with its charming/cute graphics and strategic game play. I love the challenge of adapting your game play based on night/day, zombies, and setting. Especially when you're also playing for the achievements simultaneously.
However, some of those achievements can be a real headache. Mostly the mini game ones which took wayyyy to much time. One in particular truly aggravated me with its impossibility, 'Towering Wisdom'. Maybe it's just me, I don't know. I just resorted to an exploit to unlock it, which wasn't rewarding, but neither would it have been to replay the game over and over just to get coins. Despite the terrible terrible achievements, the core game remains fun, and it really aged well over the years.
This is a certified classic! I don't see how the future installments keep dropping the ball. Like just keep it classic like this and it will sell, but EA and the future owners just had to get greedy. The only good thing they did was make PVZ garden Warfare 1 and 2.

A PopCap classic! Simple game for new players. For those who want to deepen their understanding it can be a complex survival game.
It's still an absolute blast all these years later after having played it as a Flash game back in the BTD 3/4 days. I highly recommend it, though I'm sad the 2nd game won't be making it to PC, as even if it's not quite as good it has a lot of content and would likely have resolution options.
I couldn’t describe a better layer out and designed game like this one. The idea and thought process put into this game is just beautiful. This is like the 3rd platform I own it on.
Better then most new games out there. Why is it so hard to not create a pile of sh!t and charge people money to smell it.

Overview
Plants vs. Zombies GOTY Edition is the classic hectic plant tower defense originally made by PopCap, well known for creating many of the most early arcade games lots of us grew up with. Plants vs. Zombies being one of the most popular games they developed before being acquired by EA.
It is a very fun game that's straight to the point and easy to get into, placing you in an overhead view of your home lawn to plant various plants to defend yourself against the sudden rise of zombies. Although the game looks cartoonish it isn't a walk in the park as the game is challenging enough figuring out plants you need and the best combinations for levels. As you progress the difficulty ramps up ever so slightly with the introduction of new zombies, mechanics, and level gimmicks.
As you complete the story you are able to repeat adventure mode where things get harder and each level has some things changed to further make things challenging. There are also other game modes that get unlocked giving you other ways to play the game. There is even an unlockable Zen garden where you can collect all the different plants in the game.
Achievements aren't the easiest to complete but is doable with some effort.

Struggling with the roof levels? Well I have a solution. for the early roof levels before you get gloom shrooms use starfruits and after you get gloom shrooms you can also use doom shrooms for the gargantuars in 5-8 and 5-9.
The greatest piece of video game, it changed my life, plants vs zombies is the bestest game of all time, this is the only good thing to come from our puny little human minds. Truly a MASTERPIECE!!! Plants vs Zombies is the greatest and most epic piece of human existence. Crazy Dave is my idol.

Plants Vs. Zombies, after all these years, still manages to be about as close as it gets to a perfect game. There seriously isn't much to complain about. Incredibly fun, waves of content, hordes of zombies and just about enough plants to make a botanist faint. I seriously think anyone who likes games should play through Plants Vs. Zombies at least once in their lifetime. If you haven't, then you need to. And if you have, play it again!
Nothing quite like assembling a team of vegetables to fend off a zombie in a traffic cone, all while questioning your life choices. Truly a groundbreaking lawn experience... 🌽🧟♂️

This is a fun and goofy little game. It only took me nine hours to complete the main adventure mode, but so what, even at full price this game is only five bucks which is less than the price of admission to a movie, and I may dive deeper and play the mini games that are included. I played this after a game that was way too dark and spooky for me, so I really appreciated the humor and lighthearted nature of this game. I play on a laptop, so I also appreciated that this is a low spec game that can run on a toaster. Gaming should be fun. This game is fun.

Holds up really well! I bought this game for nostalgic reasons and had just as much fun as I did when it first came out. Pretty easy to get all the achievements with some effort.

Still holds up quite well, even 15 years later. Gameplay is fairly simple, but fun: Plant plants in various locations around your house to stave off a ravenous horde of zombies. As you progress, you find new plants that conveniently happen to counter the exact threat that you'll be facing next, and can also be used to grow your arsenal.
Adventure mode is just the right length - five "worlds" each with ten levels; eight normal, one minigame, and one conveyor at the end, which works out great. Replaying Adventure mode also locks in three mostly-random plants into your bank, which I wasn't sure that I would like at first, but it's been fun using Mushrooms on the roof, trying to see how little space I need to beat a level, or only using attackers above 200 Sun.
Outside of Adventure mode, you'll also acquire the ability to play minigames, which are also quite simple but unique takes on certain plants or zombies' abilities, which may help you to understand some of their strengths or weaknesses better (and then there's Slot Machine). You can also grow crap in the Zen Garden which gives you money, looks pretty, acts as a late-game money sink in the case of the Tree of Wisdom, and allows you to feed Stinky the Snail crack disguised as chocolate.
The graphics are a bit crunchy in windowed mode, and some minigames feel a bit too luck-based (Zomboss bend over already, this is your third van thrown at my backline), but overall, a very good game that's well worth the price.
the best strategy game i love this!!! its from my childhood and its the best from all of these shitty sequels! this game is perfect but i dont know why they discontinued the original version there was no point in making goty edition the legacy version could be updated thats all

PvZ - The game that started the craze to use plants to defeat zombies. Amazing concept, great animations, fantastic music and great challenges, highly recommend getting and playing this gem.

Plants vs Zombies: GOTY Edition is a tower defense style strategy game where the goal is to defend your home against waves of zombies by placing various plants to hold them off. Simple mechanics and a zany art style, along with many levels and challenges (with increasingly tougher zombies) provides a wealth of replayability. This package delivers a very addictive experience that is easy to keep coming back to.

Plants vs. Zombies: the ultimate gardening simulator where the stakes are high, the plants are feisty, and the zombies are surprisingly fashionable??? Who knew lawn maintenance would be the key to surviving the apocalypse! It's simple, it's silly, and it's way too addictive.
