The mysterious Kaia has found seven powerful individuals, one of whom is capable of reaching the bottom of the 7th Deep, an ancient dungeon filled with countless treasure and hordes of monsters, to claim the powerful God-Asper. This Relic is said to give the wielder the power to make dreams come true and you can bet that everyone wants a piece of the action!
Make your choices: Will you be an evil alien who uses hi-tech weapons to obliterate his foes, a vampire that uses the lifeblood of others to revitalise herself, or maybe a powerful acolyte with potent, innate healing abilities?
Your character choice will decide which options you have when you must make difficult decisions while exploring the Deep. A man is hanging on for his life. What will you do? As a Good character you may get help or put yourself at risk to save him. As an Evil character you might taunt him, rob him, or hasten his demise. The choice is yours.
You must use all of your cunning and resourcefulness if you wish to reach the bottom of the 7th Deep where an incredible object of power and an even greater, ancient evil awaits. The God-Asper silently awaits its new owner. Anticipation races through your soul; what would you do with such power?

First play through was good. Found a method of play that made it a little easy. Finished the game
Second play through was good until the last level and end boss. Seems as though having pure fighters is not a good strategy. Some replayability, but a little boring when you are overwhelmed at the end and have to grind for the random treasure to get the one chance you have to win.
But still overall it was fun.
A fun little dungeon crawl, with a minimal amount of plot that presumably ties into the Dragons' Twilight games. It plays well, has overworld encounters rather than random encounters, and pretty solid boss fights. Can't speak too much for the choices because I've only played one run.
Ultimately I found this game very Unsatisfying. I think that is the bottom line here. If I invest my time in a game like this I expect rewards at the proper intervals as my characters progress and this game does not deliver at all. Don't bother.

It's got some clever idea's and I like the characters (in particular the alien & the vampire) and their abilities all feel different. You have to choose a team of three of them, the third character can be swapped during the game when you meet one of the other 4 characters.
Despite some nice idea's the game felt boring quickly to me. Story is completely absent but this is a pure dungeon crawler so it wasn't meant to have a narrative but in RPG Maker games I kind of want to have a storyline there. The essence of this game is basically grinding and this is as grindy as it gets but people who like that will love this game. It's a good designer though since he utulises the RPG Maker to try out new ideas. I liked his previous game, The Dragon's Twilight, a lot more and I absolutely recommend that over this one unless griding is your thing. Goal of the game is to grind yourself through 5O levels. I didn't complete a run because it was too much a grindfest for my taste.
On normal mode the game felt too easy although the end bosses are challenging (but they are the only challenging enemies) so experienced grinders should probably try survival mode or hard mode.
The designer tried to to do something different from his previous game. This one is less my taste as his previous effort but I appreciate that he tried out a differen formula.
I'll still give the game 6/10 for the clever idea's but since I'm not a grinding fan and that's basically all this is I can't rate it higher.
Nice little game. Beat a run in 1 full day. Worth the asking price for a good filler experience between other games.

i think it's a great game
I just finished my first run (Casual Mode) an must say I had a very good time progressing deeper into the dungeon and slaying all those colorful monsters. But boy those dragons in the last bit were annoying.
My party in the end consisted of the Vyxen (called her Rayne), Max and Lufia. Rayne for the damage, Max for monsters and magicks and Lufia for healing. Loved the crafting and the aspers. Inbetween I switched partners a few times to make use of the different character abilities and crafting skills.
In my next run I try my luck with the pirate-lady. Some time after that I maybe go for survival mode. But I am curious to see all those endings for the characters, so I guess I will play this game some more in the future. This run took me about 7 hours of playing and I am a slow player. As this game is not too time consuming and you can save everywhere you like, it is perfect even for short Homeoffice breaks :)
Just try it, you won't regret it!

rarely i found infinite brown chest and red chest on floor 10. idk this is bug or what
just keep pressing Z and you get items and no end

It's not a bad Dungeon Crawler, if you're looking for an RPGMaker dungeon crawler. I have to recommend Dragons' Twilight (made by the same developer) over this game. Decent playable character variety. Reminded me of 7th Saga a couple of times in terms of playable characters and choosing your partner, which I assume is intentional since the game is called 7th Deep.
The story isn't anything too remarkable, which is understandable since this is just a dungeon crawler. Normal Mode felt too easy once I had decent Aspers equipped, while Hardcore Mode's rules look intimidatingly hard.
Basically, it's a game you beat with each character once and come back to a later to see more endings or play on Hardcore Mode.
To fans of proper dungeon survival games, start with Hardcore Mode.
This is a somewhat unsatisfactory game.
I mean there is not much story behind this....just a big dungeon you and your choices of teammembers.
If you have the wrong ones...say no healer than it's only a wait till your run out of potions.
The only way to avoid this is running into the enemies from behind giving your team a 1st free hit..only that the design of the levels and how fast your enemies walk prevents that most times...and than you lost some HP.
Of course you'll find chests and sometimes new possible party members....choice wisely!
All in all this gets boring rather fast.
But than you can get this game rather cheap and have fun for a few hours.
Read this review if you want to find out why 7th Deep isn't 'just another rpgmaker game'.
7th Deep has a simple premise. Get to the bottom of the dungeon in order to recieve a relic that's supposed to be insane powers. It's nothing new, but it works for this type of game.
You get to choose between seven characters to begin with. 2 are evil, 3 are neutral, and 2 are good. Once you choose a character, you get a 2nd character (who isn't a part of the beginning crew) shortly after and then finally as you go along you'll recruit a 3rd member from the other beginning characters you didn't choose at the start.
Each character is competely different from each other. Who you choose MATTERS. One character can kill NPCs for extra loot. One can drink the blood of NPCs to heal. One can craft healing items from herbs. One will cause you to find extra tresure chests. And there's more, but I'll let you find it out yourself.
Over the 50 floors, you'll find a great diversity in what is going on. There are puzzles, traps, teleporters, and more to deal with. Weak enemies will randomly run around, allowing you get the jump on them for an extra free turn. More challanging enemies will chase you down, and can get an extra turn on you if you don't face them in time.
The difficulty isn't too hard, at least on the normal difficulty. I haven't tried "survival mode" yet. However, if you do find yourself being overpowered, the game does have the ability to teleport back to previous floors for grinding. You even get to re-open previous chests to get more loot. In this respect, you can choose whether to go straight forward for difficulty, or grind to make things simplier.
There are 2 endings for each character, and 7 characters to begin your adventure with. Replay value is through the roof. And with each run taking around 9 or 10 hours, you will absolutely get your moneys worth at just $2.99.
A simple game with some surprising depth. I t has replayability due to the number of characters you can choose ( 7) and can be combined into any team of 3 or less. There are several save slots and if you find yourself fighting monsters beyond your ability you can teleport back to a location and redo the levels for more experience. If you like this type of game I highly recommend 7th Deep, and you can't go wrong at this price.
This is the first game i have written about and i have to say, its a great little game. Reminds me of the games i played growning up. This game gives exactly what it promises, a 90's style rpg however the game can be a little light on storyline.
All said and done this game is well worth the price and a great little gem that desevers a place in your library!

Because of that I bought and it's been great fun. Highly recommend it for anyone into the old RPG games. There is enough within the combat to make it interesting and it was a fun game all round especially for it's price.

I have only played for a short while, but wanted to pop in and say that I am loving this game. It's a little different than other RPGs (no blue sky in sight, nor an Inn), and I like the difference. Makes a nice change.
Anyway, I highly recommend this game for those players who want to have fun with an easier to play game.

After having played for quite a few hours and experimented with which characters work best, I know now which my 2 favourite characters are. The first one is mad, bad, and dangerous to know, and I love him. :)
This is a very fun and entertaining game. What I really like is that in the battles, my characters never miss and the enemies never evade. I have always found that extremely tiresome.
Can't say more, except that it's unique in many ways.
This is a decent little dungeon crawler, and there's some versatility in the way you choose to play through based on who you choose as your "hero" and the party you arrange, at least as far as your interactions with NPCs go and how your team fights. If you're coming to this game looking for a deep story, you aren't going to find it. There is a hint of a plotline there, but it only pops up occasionally and isn't really a significant part of the gameplay. If you like turn-based battles and solving puzzles to get to treasure, this game will scratch that itch for you. There are some things that I would have liked to see set up a little differently, but considering how little this game costs, I feel like I can't really complain about wishing for extra features. Overall, I would say that I'm satisfied with this game, although not overwhelmed by it.
