What a funny and creative game.
The ending was amazing!

I keep finding out that it's the poorest of us who end up making the most creative/innovative games, and not usually the richest of us. As much fun and enjoyment I've gotten out of AAA games, it's almost always the indies that end up making the deepest marks.

Man, after playing this game, I can confidently say it's an unforgettable experience! I wish I could go back in time to play it for the first time, it's just THAT kind of game. It's got a lot of charm and simple visuals, bursting with humor and a thought provoking story, and one of the most incredible soundtracks I've ever heard.

The music is the soul of this game. Tracks like "It's Raining Somewhere Else", "Don't Give Up", "An Ending", "Hopes and Dreams", "Undertale", and even overworld tracks like "Another Medium", "CORE", and "Waterfall" are beautiful and perfectly capture the mood of every moment. Whether you're just walking around, fighting a difficult boss in the climax, or just having a quiet moment of reflection, this soundtrack elevates every scene to a level I cannot even describe.

Undertale is a one of a kind experience, no matter if you're just here for the story, the music or the gameplay, it is truly something worth experiencing. 10/10!

This game is a masterpiece! It's one of the rare titles that lets you complete your playthrough without having to hurt or kill any enemies, which in itself provides a unique challenge.

I am absolutely in love with this game. After hearing about it so much, I finally got it and golly jee did it meet my expectations. The humour is right up my alley and the characters are... completely phenomenal! Don't even get me started on the music. Overall, I would rate it 9.5/10 :)

Probably one of the most charming and excruciating games I've ever played in one. You'll NEVER get bored of this game, down to its catchy tunes, lovable characters, and beautiful textured pixel art. There's also the tone of the game, its atmosphere really does a good job in making you FEEL like you're actually in Undertale and that every choice that you make as the player matters.

Unfortunately my expectations for this game were too high. I think it is overrated. But still good. I get that the ending boss fight was supposed to be unique/unconventional but it really tilted me.

A great game! this was a great game it has amazing game play/game mechanics, great characters, and tons of playability! I would highly recommend!

Masterpiece. Expected "haha funny sans game", got traumatised in the first quest.
The emotions get stronger the further you progress and you will feel like an terrible person on your first playthrough. But the fact that there is always a possibility of a next playthrough... it fills you with determination.

If you're not an adult yet, consider buying this game when you are a little more emotionally mature. I doubt 16 year old me would've been able to comprehend everything.

So, This game is amazing. Incredible plot, characters, soundtrack. such an original idea! It has inspired manys to make their own games, such as Undertale yellow, Undertale 7 souls, and much more! It has multiple endings which makes it even more fun to try to get all the endings! Very inclusive to all types of people with the Genocide and Pacifist endings, with Genocide being for people who want a challenge or are evil, And Pacifist for good people! Many hard bosses too! Even though it says 0.9 hours i have played it for almost 1000 hours on nintendo switch. Basically an 999999999999999999999999/10

Very silly game, but with a great story that brought me tears in the best ending. Great and unique game play that will leave you rage quitting, but always coming back for more.

I forgot to write this like 10 years ago, but this game is great, the trailer says it all. It will siphon your brain energy and bring you joy. Play it, its worth it. *for you music theory buffs there's [plenty] of snacks for you within the soundtrack

That game is just simple good that is what it make it so enjoyable yo like humour moments and stuff ye it has a lot but aside note it have its serious momments after a while

Great narative and the combat system is really good. Would recomend playing it with a controller thought.

Amazing game! Truly great! I've loved this game for a long time and have explored so much yet so little. The pixel graphics are a nice aesthetic and the game actively tries to stop you from going down the wrong path (Those who have played the game know what I mean by 'the wrong path') There's a huge story and the game knows it's a game in some cases. Worth every penny.

I started this game thinking it would be really dumb and I'd beat it in like 10 minutes. I was wrong on both counts. I was immediately enthralled with the story line and characters, and it kicked my ass on several occasions.

One of the most fun story games of all time, tons of replayability

The first game to make me cry. Undertale is a wonderful experience and I recommend it to everyone! I played the true pacifist route my first time and cannot bring myself to reset because of how sweet and lovable all the characters are. The music is amazing and was in my head for weeks after playing.

This game needs no introduction I think, this game has become part of pop culture and is one of the best (and one of the most revolutionary) RPG of its time and to this day.

The game is full of life (but can be dull of life), the game is fun! (but can be saddening and eerie!)
You will laugh, or not smile at all

it depends on what you choose really!

this game will hook you in and get you invested for the characters and you'll feel them as if they were human
but do remember, you don't have to kill anyone to proceed :3

This game is truly one of the best games that we have been blessed with, go on, name a better game than undertale, you wont.

Also, every time i play undertale and deltarune my data gets reset. If this isnt just happening to me or if you know how to fix this bug, then please comment on this review.

Cons:
-Very short and can be beaten super quickly
-Battle system feels like it could've been utilized/expanded on a bit more
-World should've been bigger and explored more
-Some rather jarring artwork here and there
-Can't mercilessly kill Alphys
-Constant interruptions that take you out of the game
-Some moments/bits go on for way longer than they should

All in all, the pros heavily outweigh the cons. Good game.

Best game i have ever played. The soundtrack is just so GOOD like just perfect. The story is pretty intresting and the art style just fits the game perfectly. If you want an good game and get better at dodging i would give this a shot (NOTE: i bought the game in the winter sale and it was 2,50 euro)

Well, I have managed to somehow avoid spoilers for past 9 years and i gottta be thankful it turned out like that. The game instatntly earned my appreciation. The story even tho is short, is really nice and actually makes sense. Mechanics are also interesting and were really fresh for me atl (the ability to spare monsters was awesome). I immidiately felt connected to characters and doing each route was an emotional rollercoaster. Difficulty is up there too, since my boi Sansy is a challenging boss.

One of the best games, I guess, it is worth the price, I would recommend buying it...

I've not played before, and I don't know much about it despite it having existed for forever but I would 100% recommend Toriel and Sans and Papyrus are so cute and nice this whole game is adorable, hate that flower that's following me though

I love the story in this game and the endings you can get just give you another point of view of the character you are playing as.

This is an incredible game oh my god the mechanics are cool but admittedly nothing special. The story is really what stands out about this game. Just the contrast between pacifist and no mercy and how they are two completely different experience is so incredible and just amazing storytelling.

i love undertale with all my soul. remember how i first time ever played it when was little. Game almost 10 years alredy and i cant wait for it!

This is probably my favorite game, as you can tell from my playtime. I play it whenever I get a new computer and don't sync my steam data because the guilt trip of reopening it after everyone gets their happy ending is too much. I love it.

The game is mostly about hanging out with your new mom and making friends with skeletons.
I'm being facetious, but also at the same time,
not really.

Trying to get much else out of the game will only lead to you having a bad time. 10/10.

I beat it on pacifist and now I cant play it anymore because I don't want to erase the memories. If I do play this game again it will be on a different console because the file on this pc will keep the memories of everyone on it, until it breaks. Its a great game.

I love this game so much i wouldn't be the same person i am now if Undertale didn't exist. The soundtrack is amazing, I've been listening to it since i saw undertale for the first time around 2017 or 2016 (idk honestly) to this day. Yeah i did play deltarune and i did watch a lot of theories before playing undertale, but experiencing it first hand was still an amazing experience, since i didn't watch any actuall gameplay videos it was more like putting the puzzles together.

Just one more thing i want to add, I don't care how many good games will come out, Undertale will stay as the best game i have ever played.

this game has made me feel like a great person and a terrible one at the same time

I appreciate the innovative approach Undertale takes to classic mechanics known from 8-bit roleplaying games. However, the game didn't quite resonate with me. I wasn't as entertained as I'd hoped to be, despite I genuinely tried and wanted to enjoy it.

It's not a bad game per se, and it rightfully earned its place in the history of gaming. Back when it was released it was a breath of fresh air, and it still feels fresh even today. You don't have many games encouraging players to play like devoted pacifists and complete them without using force or violence, even though both elements are available to be used if someone does not want to be a pacifist. It's just... I think it's not for everyone, despite being loved by many.

I also didn't find the story interesting in particular. Most of the characters felt dull, especially if put next to such polished characters as Sans (my favorite character from this game, by the way).

What's more, I can't recommend a game I totally didn't have fun with, even if I can notice its objectively well-done elements. I can't tell whether someone will like it or not, especially when, like I mentioned before, the majority of players has different thoughts than mine (which you can easily check by looking at positive reviews recommending Undertale), but as for me, sadly, I wasn't that much impressed by Undertale.

It's the most underrated game I have every played beside Deltarune. I really like this game and think Toby Fox will give us some of the best Deltarune chapters yet.

Something about this game is just off. The story is all over the place. It has its moments, but its mostly boring. The game play is either its obnoxiously easy or impossibly hard.

Im really tempted to say smth like 'funny haha skeleton man sucks' but I'm gonna be real. this game actually changed my life, if I hadn't found this game, I wouldn't have met my current friends, the people who hurt me, all of it, I definitely wouldn't be who I am today. I found this game around 2019 along with Deltarune and they both changed my perspectives and view on reality, I'm a huge nerd and I wouldn't be entirely that without this, without the experiences this game has brought me, it's the one thing in my live i have control over. whether or not the characters believe in a way out depends on you, what you end up with relies on your choices, and there's not much fear that comes with those choices, because despite every thing, all of the comedic moments, the tears, the pain, it's still you. 10/10 - this stupid game got me the best two idiots i could ask for.
