It's an absolute masterpiece of a game. This is why I love indie game developers, for only $5, you get a beautifully crafted game where the developer puts their love and passion into making the game, and you get to experience what most the AAA games couldn't give. 10/10 recommended.

The only regret I have is not playing the game sooner.

Undertale is my favorite game of all time. It was the first Game i played in english and was my introduction to indie games as a whole. Toby Fox is my favorite Dev ever, in my opinion, Undertale is as close to perfect as you can get. sure the controles are a bit stiff on pc and some may call the graphic "Outdated" but i must disagree. The Graphic is part of the charm. and if its not for the Graphic its for the music. Its one of the best soundtracks ever and holds up really good even as just a vinyl. Its has just so much chamre and character. everything is so memoryable. (if thats the right word.)
It spawned so many fangames, fancomics and a whole community who is just as crazy as the game. I can replay this game till forever and listen to the soundtrack on repeat. it holds a truly special place in my hearth and i changed my view and approach on life as a whole. Also its just 10 bucks and not all that long with a lot of endings and secrets.

After watching several playthroughs of this game over the years, I finally decided to give it a try myself. Despite knowing most things about the plot, and different outcomes, I still enjoyed myself a ton. My only nitpicks would be about small things, f.e. the many times a single pixel stopped me from simply pressing the 'Down' button to run away in Undyne's spear maze. Or dying and having to wait through dramatic cutscenes yet again/until the GAME OVER screen says its thing. Those don't hit the same the second time, and do get a little annoying since the player just wants to get back to it and try again. But those are small blemishes on what is otherwise a great game. It still managed to get me emotional, even though I knew what was going to happen.

Undertale has beauty in its simplicity.

It's a retro-style game with an intriguing storyline and lore, fun bullet hell combat, well-written memorable characters, and incredible music that definitely deserves to be called one of the greatest games ever made. Toby Fox is a poet at writing both funny dialogue that make you laugh and emotional, heartfelt narratives that make you connect more with the characters and the world they live in all while having the right music to fit the mood.

I'm not joking when I say that I consider this the best game ever made; it's perfect.
The story is amazing, the gameplay is phenomenal, Papyrus is a very COOL DUDE (he's my favorite character), and the true ending made me cry a bit T-T. It's worth the ten dollars... so get it right now!

After watching a full gameplay with every ending years ago this game has always stayed in my heart and I recently decided to buy it on steam aswell.
Right now just finished getting a pacifist enginding, defeating Omega Flowey and sparing him and I've already cried several times throughout this run, this game always hits different.
Total ispirations for indies and not just those, forever shine among the darkest sky.
And despite all the neutrals, pacifists, true pacifists and genocides routes.. It is still you, the same person who began this majestic adventure.

Phenomenal game with good writing, great characters and an amazing story. Best to go in as blind as possible. I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll keep it short. But if the game feels weird in the beginning, that's correct. Just push through if you like RPGs. I recommend this game, and it's a steal when it's on sale.

I have clocked more hours on my PS4 and Switch. This bad boy is a great experience. It gives you a couple paths to go down, a-la Pacifist, Neutral, and Genocide. I would recommend Pacifist for a first run, as the overall difficulty scales with you (but you are forever Lvl. 1, haha). You will meet wacky characters. There will be stuff you pass up. There will be secrets you miss. But that's the beauty of it... its re-playable. Miss something on your first playthrough? Then start a new save! Maybe look around more, and backtrack after certain events (the game does encourage you to go back to major places, and does have a shortcut in the form of the ferryman). But trust me on this; it's a good game. May not be everyone's cup of tea, but I think everyone should try it at least once.

there are so many different things that you can do in this game, the jokes and content of the game are hilarious, and the fandom is... interesting. but over all it is great.

a good game if you like good games about monsters who are trapped underground but you arent a monster because youre actually a human and you have to get back home but theres a barrier and also you can choose who lives and dies except for sans you have to kill sans everytime :)

it's a pretty fun game for me atleast, especially thanks to the modding community's efforts to make it more fun and keep it alive, it's pretty good, has a good story, (sans undertale and papyrus are peak), has a decent artstyle, but good mechanics, i love it honestly 11/10 would recommend

I didn't expect too much from Undertale, but it blew me away. The unassuming presentation gives way to one of the most beautiful and hearbreaking stories I've ever witness, from a game or otherwise. I've only played True Pacifist so far, but even with only that experience Undertale and its soundtrack are some of the greatest medias I've had the pleasure of enjoying. Bravo, Toby Fox.

Very good story, pretty well execution on that regard. It's mostly very funny with some interesting, more serious stuff hiding beneath the surface. Has some well done plot-twists near the end and I highly recommend playing the pacifist route. I didn't do the genocide route and I'm not really that interested in it because I didn't love the game enough to continue playing more. I'm satisfied.

Combat is nice, dodging is the most interesting aspect of it. Although I absolutely hated the random enemy spawns interrupting me constantly while I was walking around. Even Pokemon has the decency of marking the areas where enemies can appear.

Vast majority of the cast is fun and interesting, except for 1 VERY ANNOYING character that ALSO like to interrupt me constantly during their section.

Map exploration is... fine I guess, not much to do to be honest.

Music ranges from "okay" to "AMAZING", there are some tracks with real depth here.

Glad I finally got to play it, enjoyed it overall but I don't love it like the vast majority of people.

Undertale is a fantastic game - It's short, sweet, charming, and funny all at once. I did a true pacifist run for my first one and was very glad I did, would definitely recommend doing that to anyone that hasn't!

This game is like the Sistine Chapel if there were a bunch of pixelated dogs on the ceiling.

This is up there as one of my favorite games of all time, everything about is great. The music, the characters, the story and the way you go about finishing impacting the whole game. Some of the humor is a bit outdated but most of it still works. If you haven't played it I seriously don't know how you go about your day to day life.

The game has amazing art especially when paired with OLED screens that would make the colors contrasts. The music is great and memorable and I instantly wanted to look up the OST of many tracks. The story is good and the characters are well done from design and characterization apsects. The game had a lot of surprises up its sleeve that I wasn't spoiled on and glad for it. Great game, glad I gave it a second shot and not miss on a must play title.

for likes? i mean its just a good game, a good story, and not super confusing like some games tend to be, the mechanics are pretty good and its compatible with controller as well which made it 10x easier to just connect a PS4 controller to my laptop and play it. the only thing id really say about dislike category would be that some puzzles can be confusing, though that could be viewed as good or bad depending on who you are asking.

I overall enjoy this game because no matter how many times I restart it, I never get bored. So I highly recommend it, though I know it is not for everyone and that is okay.

Very good game. Thought it was overrated at first and then chaos happened.

I killed lots of people, that scientist is very annoying, it took too man y tries to defeat the king.
Once defeated, I made the very horrible mistake of sparing him, then flowey came along and killed him... So I defeated flowey and then Sans called. No, I did not get to fight sans even though I killed his brother, Papyrus.

I keep finding out that it's the poorest of us who end up making the most creative/innovative games, and not usually the richest of us. As much fun and enjoyment I've gotten out of AAA games, it's almost always the indies that end up making the deepest marks.

Man, after playing this game, I can confidently say it's an unforgettable experience! I wish I could go back in time to play it for the first time, it's just THAT kind of game. It's got a lot of charm and simple visuals, bursting with humor and a thought provoking story, and one of the most incredible soundtracks I've ever heard.

The music is the soul of this game. Tracks like "It's Raining Somewhere Else", "Don't Give Up", "An Ending", "Hopes and Dreams", "Undertale", and even overworld tracks like "Another Medium", "CORE", and "Waterfall" are beautiful and perfectly capture the mood of every moment. Whether you're just walking around, fighting a difficult boss in the climax, or just having a quiet moment of reflection, this soundtrack elevates every scene to a level I cannot even describe.

Undertale is a one of a kind experience, no matter if you're just here for the story, the music or the gameplay, it is truly something worth experiencing. 10/10!

This game is a masterpiece! It's one of the rare titles that lets you complete your playthrough without having to hurt or kill any enemies, which in itself provides a unique challenge.

I am absolutely in love with this game. After hearing about it so much, I finally got it and golly jee did it meet my expectations. The humour is right up my alley and the characters are... completely phenomenal! Don't even get me started on the music. Overall, I would rate it 9.5/10 :)

Probably one of the most charming and excruciating games I've ever played in one. You'll NEVER get bored of this game, down to its catchy tunes, lovable characters, and beautiful textured pixel art. There's also the tone of the game, its atmosphere really does a good job in making you FEEL like you're actually in Undertale and that every choice that you make as the player matters.

Unfortunately my expectations for this game were too high. I think it is overrated. But still good. I get that the ending boss fight was supposed to be unique/unconventional but it really tilted me.
