This is probably my favorite game, as you can tell from my playtime. I play it whenever I get a new computer and don't sync my steam data because the guilt trip of reopening it after everyone gets their happy ending is too much. I love it.

The game is mostly about hanging out with your new mom and making friends with skeletons.
I'm being facetious, but also at the same time,
not really.

Trying to get much else out of the game will only lead to you having a bad time. 10/10.

I beat it on pacifist and now I cant play it anymore because I don't want to erase the memories. If I do play this game again it will be on a different console because the file on this pc will keep the memories of everyone on it, until it breaks. Its a great game.

Quite possibly my favourite game ever. The music, the art, the atmosphere, the story, it’s all here and it’s all fantastic

I love this game so much i wouldn't be the same person i am now if Undertale didn't exist. The soundtrack is amazing, I've been listening to it since i saw undertale for the first time around 2017 or 2016 (idk honestly) to this day. Yeah i did play deltarune and i did watch a lot of theories before playing undertale, but experiencing it first hand was still an amazing experience, since i didn't watch any actuall gameplay videos it was more like putting the puzzles together.

Just one more thing i want to add, I don't care how many good games will come out, Undertale will stay as the best game i have ever played.

I appreciate the innovative approach Undertale takes to classic mechanics known from 8-bit roleplaying games. However, the game didn't quite resonate with me. I wasn't as entertained as I'd hoped to be, despite I genuinely tried and wanted to enjoy it.

It's not a bad game per se, and it rightfully earned its place in the history of gaming. Back when it was released it was a breath of fresh air, and it still feels fresh even today. You don't have many games encouraging players to play like devoted pacifists and complete them without using force or violence, even though both elements are available to be used if someone does not want to be a pacifist. It's just... I think it's not for everyone, despite being loved by many.

I also didn't find the story interesting in particular. Most of the characters felt dull, especially if put next to such polished characters as Sans (my favorite character from this game, by the way).

What's more, I can't recommend a game I totally didn't have fun with, even if I can notice its objectively well-done elements. I can't tell whether someone will like it or not, especially when, like I mentioned before, the majority of players has different thoughts than mine (which you can easily check by looking at positive reviews recommending Undertale), but as for me, sadly, I wasn't that much impressed by Undertale.

It's the most underrated game I have every played beside Deltarune. I really like this game and think Toby Fox will give us some of the best Deltarune chapters yet.

Something about this game is just off. The story is all over the place. It has its moments, but its mostly boring. The game play is either its obnoxiously easy or impossibly hard.

Im really tempted to say smth like 'funny haha skeleton man sucks' but I'm gonna be real. this game actually changed my life, if I hadn't found this game, I wouldn't have met my current friends, the people who hurt me, all of it, I definitely wouldn't be who I am today. I found this game around 2019 along with Deltarune and they both changed my perspectives and view on reality, I'm a huge nerd and I wouldn't be entirely that without this, without the experiences this game has brought me, it's the one thing in my live i have control over. whether or not the characters believe in a way out depends on you, what you end up with relies on your choices, and there's not much fear that comes with those choices, because despite every thing, all of the comedic moments, the tears, the pain, it's still you. 10/10 - this stupid game got me the best two idiots i could ask for.

I'm really happy that after all these years I decided to play this game. It's a must play game, so if you haven't done that yet, what are you waiting for?!

It's one of those games were you have to play it multiple times to get the full experience, but it's well worth it!
It's pretty short, so it's not a big issue.

My all time favorite game. Greatly written characters, powerful and diverse music, amazing story, and hilarious flavor text and dialogue.

Absolutely loved playing this game. The characters, dialogues, soundtrack is just amazing.Good jokes and humour. Well made RPG where different choices have different outcomes & endings. Might play again with different playstyle.

10/10 recommended (should have prior experience with RPG to understand this game properly, not for casuals or non-gamers)

I honestly wasn't aware what a masterpiece this game is until I startet playing and getting into it. I have no words for it, and the ending left me speechless and with a lot of curiosity on what might change if I made different decisions.

i've played this on the playstation like 3 times maybe? this game deserves what popularity it has, but god man, so many themes are shoved into this game, so meta, and so game-breaking, and it all fits together somehow??? its so good, it changed the indie game scene, i fear. i recommend this to everyone

Amazing game filled with humorous puzzles, jokes and great story telling make is game one of my favorite of all time. Love the random motivational speech and life advices toby threw in here and there ..

Got the true ending today (day i posted this) so happy, honestly hardest game i've ever played, but so much fun, some tough moments but it all worked out in the end, that true ending was so cute though, almost made me cry 100% recommend

I tried my hardest to love Undertale, but this game is not for me and not something I would recommend to anyone that I liked. The character designs (outside of the playable character) are interesting, and the first couple of areas are cool. After you leave the snow town the world feels poorly thrown together and like it was rushed to completion. The combat is somewhat Pokemon like, turn based with a specific set of choices to choose from. After each action you control a little heart and avoid attacks in a really poorly done, not fun, bullet-hell type event. Trying to figure out how to complete encounters without killing the enemy can be interesting, but mostly just feels like you're pressing random buttons until something happens, and when you have to go through the poorly executed bullet-hell section after each one of those random actions, it becomes a mindless slog. The story is pretty straightforward, and while there are a couple of interesting characters, they're really front loaded, and the character that you interact with most during the game is unlikable and constantly interrupts your ability to walk with poorly written dialog. The music in this game is amazing, and may be one of the best game soundtracks of all time, and was really the only enjoyable part of this game.

Cozy if you play the true pacifist route, quite replayable, funny in all routes.

I got introduced to Undertale back in 2016, and started to play the game back in 2018. I adore this game. To me, Undertale helped define the indie genre, and is nostalgic for me for being of the mid-late 2010s indie classic alongside FNAF. The game and it's story hooked me in a way that no game before has ever done. I've never been this attached to fictional characters in a video game before, it eventually got to the point I had one of those cringy Xbox usernames named after Sans. I digress though, here's the review.

Judging by the reviews this game must be for everyone, right? No, definitely not. Don't get me wrong, the game is just fine. It's downright hilarious at times, but other times it's tedious. I wouldn't recommend it without making sure the genre suits you.

If you haven't already played Undertale PLEASE give it a try. It is quite literally my favorite game ever. I may only have about 20 hours on record, but that's because I own it on every gaming platform I can get it on and PC is my least favorite to play it on. It is so worth it, I promise.

my favourite part of the game are the annoying dog gags, particularly when i click on dog residue in my inventory, and then my entire inventory fills with dog residue..

Please add the option to change the keybinds, I can't stand playing with the arrow keys

This game definitely has a very annoying fanbase, but this game is truly a once in a lifetime experience. I find it hard to replay any of the 3 endings because i don't get the same excitement that i did for my first 3 runthroughs of the game. Even though my hours are low on PC, i have over 40 hours on the Switch version. Absolutely incredible game and is well worth the price of 10 dollars.

Undertale is one of the best games I've played. I was so upset when I lost the login for my old steam account that I had it on, but happy to be playing again. I love the characters and storyline. 10/10 game that holds a special place in my heart.

I've been obsessed with this game since i was 8 years old, first played it on switch, now that I've grown and I've given this game the time to actually make sense instead of me being obsessed with the characters, i can say wholeheartedly this game is beautifully constructed up to the soundtrack down to the lore.

Apparently I have not written a review for UNDERTALE as of yet. How this is possible, is beyond me. Don't be fooled by the mere 40 hours of playtime; I have spent thousands of hours of my life listening to music, viewing fanart, browsing the web, creating content, all based around UNDERTALE. All the way back since 2017, no less.

I'm not even sure I have to recommend it. If you haven't already played it, then what are you even doing with your life? This is the equivalent of required reading.

Avoided this game for awhile because of the annoying fanbase until I actually played it for myself, and wow. People aren't kidding when they said Undertale is one of the best games ever made, and I highly agree. It's easily one of my favorite games of all time.

If you like RPGs and you've got around 6 hours to spare, I urge you to play this game NOW (while avoiding spoilers as much as possible), especially for the low price of $3 during a sale, it's an absolute steal. Undertale is art at it's absolute finest.

Undertale is a game, that quite literary shaped me as a person. The characters, atmosphere, soundtrack, everything blends in together, to create a truly wonderful game. I lack words to describe how perfect this game is and believe me, if I could, I'd write a stupidly long rant on how perfect Undertale is. One of the best (if not best) experiences someone can go through.

What can I say about Undertale that hasn't already been said? The game is a masterpiece. It's a love letter to retro games in a modern engine with modern ideas. The music is one of the best examples I've seen of using the same ingredients and getting many different, equally amazing results. The story has made me cry on more than one occasion. The gameplay is innovative and fun. I've replayed multiple times and will likely do so again. It's not a stretch to say that this game changed my life.

Undertale's story explores morality and lives unlike any other game. On story alone, it belongs in the hall of fame of gaming. Yet, it also has neat art and fun rpg puzzles and combat.
