Capture reactors, build your own defenses and wander around eliminating enemy robots.
I guess it's ok. Music get sometimes weird. You can choose which towers you want to build and where with cursor. I wouldn't recommend playing with controller as the building interface is not very accessible. Graphics look good but depends on where you looking at because terrain sometimes might look waverly and uneven like made out of clay. I feel like game is missing a few things. You're able to place turrets everywhere, some kind of influence zone would be nice. Upgrading buildings is not very intuitive as you have to press space followed by enter (who would have thought?). Game is not that long so at least you can complete it fairly quick. I wouldn't recommend this one if you're not into shooters or tower defense games however if you're into those genres you might find some enjoyment out of Armed to the Gears (my gear is loose!).

Like others said this game is one half lies and the other half nothing.
Yes, you control a "mech", but no, you can not really customise anything in a meaningful way. Also the descriptions, like "machine guns", are just a lie, there is ONE machine gun - same with the rest. ONE grenade launcher ("Artillery"), ONE tesla gun, etc.
So yeah, you walk around click one mouse button from time to time (Overheat, otherwise you could hold it) and use the other to fire a missile here or there. Missile because the Artillery has no meaningful range and is inconsistent (more than the launcher).
Why it is still bad that one has to use the missile launcher? The artillery has the better effects - such a waste.
Like with the weapons, the HQ is just a front, nothing to do here except "unlocking" the tesla gun and after the second mission the missile launcher. WOHEE! End.
The tower defense part is even worse, the turrrets are the same weapons only on a stationary building; you can upgrade them one time and they are a mix of useless and "too strong". They get destroyed because they do not shoot when they should or they do no damage(?) but if they work, the annihilate the enemy in range. Soo? Strange.
Their shown range is also just there to be there. Sometimes they do not shoot and "long range" turrets, like missile launcher or artillery, have pathetic range.
Why I tell you this? So that can you save your coin. Yeah, the game looks like 10min of fun (this it is), but for more? Hell no!
Go out of here and do not look back.
