Music slaps. Lore is surprisingly abundant for what it offers. But the weapons and vehicle selection are top notch. Easily 11/10 for having a Killdozer.
An incredibly indepth mech and similar sci-fi vehicle game. It uses the isometric perspective well, but it can look like a twin-stick shooter at a first glance. It is not. Go into it with a similar mindset to MechWarrior, you'll probably have a good time. Good lore, lots of fun vehicle and mech choices.
10/10 mech/warcrime sim.

fun and satisfying to play
Totally fantastic retro mech shoot em up with great graphics and sound. Cannot recommend this one enough!!
It's a fun twin-stick shooter with the ability to fight using mechs, tanks and anti-grav vehicles. Freelance mode in particular is a fun way to play the game in short bursts, as it consists of sets of minicampaigns that you complete by chosing any configuration you want.
I just wish there was a random map generator - as, while the game tries to vary maps using the map pool/time of day/enemy lists, there's a finite number of maps available and replaying each freelance operation will get repetitive after a while.

Seems great, but way to play isn't that creative as expected, vehicles only differ in numeric stat, pilots only influence difficulties, weapons and special equipments are only major variety of game play, visual effects are good with high quality, it's still fun though it doesn't worth its full price.

One of the greatest... wait no.... without a doubt the single greatest isometric video game I ever have played. And the greatest vehicle game I've ever played. Ah wait, best make game too. And synthwave game. And environmental destruction game.
Essentially, this game is the GOAT in absolutely everything it sets out to be. Mandalore Gaming's review of Brigadore is how I found out about it. It makes perfect sense why he gushed about it so much, it is unbelievably amazing. Do yourself a favor and pick it up. It would run perfectly on a potato; personally most of my hours are on Steamdeck.
10/10 - I'd do awful things for a sequel. Sorry Mom.
Brigador
Isometric mech shooter with cyberpunk aesthetic and lore. If you enjoyed Syndicate or Syndicate wars from way back you'll probably enjoy this.
It is also great for a quick game if you're stuck waiting for your buddies to come online, updates or downloads to install or the police to finish breaking down your door.
Boring, repetitive and no where near as fun as it looks like it could be.

Monstrous soundtrack.
Worth every penny.
Brigador is an essential addition to great indie isometric tactical action games--set in a fascinating universe ripe for adaptions and expansion (why couldn't they make a Brigador TV miniseries instead of Halo or TLOU), the main appeal is the methodical gameplay that often goes from probing attacks into fullout assaults and brawls. And the artwork? Sure it's 2D but it's some of the most impressive I've ever seen given the fluidity and rotations (64!!) of the sprites baked from 3D models.
The content amount is staggering if you're going for 100%, as I'm on my way toward, as well all the achievements, 25USD is easily worth it as I'm already at ~0.5USD/hr and it'll easily be twice or thrice that just to get 100%.. and then that's without the fact it's just damn good action on top of a truly fascinating retro futurist mecha dystopian hellhole that is Solo Nobre.

Despite my relatively low hours, one of my all time faves. It's just a well crafted futurist and resonant vibe.
Do you want to stomp around futuristic cities, crunch mansions underfoot, and generally cause havoc? Of course you do. Play this game. Very few games pull off mass destruction as satisfyingly as this one does. I mentioned you have a mech, right? There are also tanks and speeder bikes and a floating head thing. Please play this game.

I love the graphics, music and atmosphere. Main reason why this game was on my wishlist so long. But I regret buying it.
The good looks get nullified by a lack of a challenge, unclear direction and there isn't really a story. Generally, it feels like going through a lengthy tutorial where you can learn the absolute basics of gaming. Like 'move with WASD buttons', in case there's a human on this planet who had questions about that.
There is this career option where you can grind your way up to buy equipment. Or at least, it seems like it? Nothing gets really explained anyway.
I don't like it it isn't enjoyable to me, but that does not mean it is a bad game at all. It's a fantastic game
its a fun game , lots of different mechs and builds. missions are similar format, destroy x different buildings, but its fun.
A top-notch tactical mech (and tank/agrav) combat game. Amazing sound design, massive variety of vehicles and weapons, and a fascinating setting. OST rules with intricate artwork.
Nothing really negative to say. Can't wait for Brigador Killers.

synthetik's bleaker mechanized cousin from space brazil
When you're in the mood to mellow and wreck everything, you have the ultra and heavy class vehicles, loaded up with mortars and brrrrrt.
When it's time to sweat, play hide and seek amongst city ruins, and fight apartment block sized mechs it's time to break out the black-hand power armour... And get killed in a single mistimed ambush.
Surprisingly complex mechanics that don't stop the enjoyment as a casual game, mastery of them allows you to pull off satisfying victories against huge odds.

Peak game. Big Mech mean BIGGG damage
The sober scifi setting is superb, and the audiobook only augments the bleak war story of the game. Gameplay is quite satisfying, its a toned down and feasible iteration of mech combat. Scratches that itch of well developed military scifi.
