Enter a terrifying multiplayer horror experience featuring sessions for up to five players, where any one of them has chance of becoming the bone chilling demonic entity that will try to slaughter the rest of the group.
Daemonical is an asymmetrical horror multiplayer game in which a group of people find an unfinished demon summoning ritual. With the demonic entity released upon the island, the players must find a way to send it back to hell or end up slaughtered.
Never knowing which one of them has become possessed by the demon, it is their decision to make on if they want to team up and trust each other or try surviving alone.
The humans are played in the first-person mode. In order to exorcise the demon, they need to find the missing ritual components and bring them back to the alter. Their only alternative is hiding and surviving until the dawn, when the sunlight will purge the demon from the grounds. They can use fire, which hurts the demon, or weapons and tools hidden around the island to their advantage. While the demon can’t be killed, he can be crippled, stalled and distracted.
The demon is played in the third person, needs to simply slaughter all the humans and prevent them from finishing the ritual. He is fast, agile, powerful and deadly.
The humans are stronger when they band together, but they are easier to find. Stay together or split up to avoid ending up in a group with a demon – it is for you to choose.
Will you go for the missing ritual parts, or just try to hide until dawn? Will you help the others, or just be a lone wolf – the game leaves that up to you.
When a player dies in the game, their soul gets separated from their body and they can float around the map in the shape of a glowing ball of light. He can light the way for the players, and find the demon and follow him so the others can see where he is.
Daemonical also features a positional voice chat, so you can tell the other players that are close to you your plan, or pick a strategy together, but be careful! The demon might be listening in.
Customize your character – pick your gender, choose between various player models, clothes, colors and symbols that you can put on your clothing.

Game had so much potential i dont know why developers abandoned it it will always be remembered

Honestly, Daemonical is a fun game based on a cool concept; unfortunately Daemonical is just dead. The game's development has ceased and literally zero players are active at any given time. I currently only recommend this game if you have enough interested friends to fill a lobby.
Back when i first picked up the game it was a decent and quite terrifying asym horror game. Now the game is dead with literally 0 players and the dev has either stopped working on it or hasn't put enough time into it to even attempt a revive. The only way you get your moneys worth is if literally you and 5 friends all get the game and play a private match. Unfortunately the game should be made free or removed from steam as the only way you can play is with friends.
This game is in Early Access and worked on with a small group that do their best to be on top of everything.
If you like Dead by Daylight or Deceit this is similar. But one of the best parts of this game is how it can still scare you after hours of playing. I know the player base is small right now, but being in the games discord I am able to see the direction the game is going and I am constantly looking forward to when the game is fully released.
best horror game ever. just needs somewhat hard to find game and their discord solves the problem to a degree
great game and im all behind the concept but it i could make afew suggestions i think something along the lines of demon classes would be interesting and each with their own unique designs and abilities
another interesting aspect would be more maps like maybe a abandoned city type map, a underground cavern type map and etc
and finally i think bots would help improve the game as bots can never be a bad thing to add as it would attract people in the singleplayer market and i think this game has great potential
I must say that this game is very good. It´s very scary and it´s a lot of fun to play it with friends.
The developers are there if you have questions or suggestions. If you want a good shocking game wich is geting better all the time, buy it and you will have much fun and many full pants.
Updated for 2022:
This game is no longer active, so I cannot recommend buying it. The developers have stopped working on it and there are not enough players to get a lobby. If you just want to play a game with your friends, this works but for a lone player, this will be a waste of money.
Sad day, I had a blast here.

The Original Review:
What it is: An Asymetrical Survival Horror in early access.
What it isn't: A large scale Horror from a AAA publisher.
What does that mean? It means it's unfinished. It is developed by just a couple of people. Let me tell you a story.
I stream on twitch as MenaceINK. I had heard about the game from a friend in the streaming community. They said they were going to try it, so I bought a copy and went in cold. I love doing that with games. Within the first 10 minutes there was an update, so I restarted steam and went in to play again. The update broke the ability to click the play button. No more than 5 seconds after I said that aloud on my stream, I get a follow from Fearem Games, and a message in my chat that said "Yep, this update broke, hotfix incoming." 3 minutes later, I was playing the game.
Yeah, the devs were 100% on top of it and honestly, I was probably the ONLY person who noticed it because the whole issue happened in the span of 5 minutes.
What you have right now, is the opportunity to help shape a video game to what you think it should be. If this game is not what you think it should be, you could TOTALLY join in on the fun and give Fearem your ideas. Things were getting changed/fixed/added THE NEXT DAY from my input on stream. There are plenty of reviews out right now that say 'it's unfinished' but that is exactly when your input is needed.
This is an amazing opportunity on a solid platform to make the best asymhorror game on Steam, and it can happen with your help.
To put it plainly, I effing love this game and watching it grow. You might too, give it that shot.
"Looking for players" Simulator.
I have around 90 minutes on this game. 85% of it is just waiting for players.
You rarely can play it.
You can't even make costume game with friends...
We waited 20 minutes to start one game.....
Annoying and horrible.
Overall the game itself is nice, need a lot of improvment.
Starts to get really boring after 3 games...
But the "Waiting for players" ... Ohhh god..

The community is dead. There's almost no one playing the game. Four years spent on a game that look like it was made in 6 months. The demon view is retarded. You can see people's lights outside of the demon view and when you get close you can't see them in demon view at all. The game needs another 20 years of work.
Love this game, few bugs here and there but the devs are the most hardworking team i've ever come across. They are constantly working and take in our ideas to implement into the game. :)
it's a really fun game, it has potential horror, lot of suspense, once starts its better to find a weapon faster to defend yourselves otherwise you're dead >:), amazing graphics, the community is very friendy, free of toxic players, first time playing, in less than 2 minutes the demon killed me with a brutal jumpscare, only what it needs is players, it has minor bugs, its really fun playing with friends it's a new game so its growing little by little, my advise is try this game and tell me more about it, i really appreciate the devs for giving a hard work to this game.

This game is amaziing! TBH its one of the best Asymmetrical horror games i have gotten to play in years. They really thought outside the box to bring a new way to have Monster vs Survivor in this one and i cant wait to see what they have in store for the update and full release! I give it a strong 9/10
The game run pretty smooth so far. Lobby are non-toxic which is a plus. The Devs are working real hard to make sure players needs are met.
Ok so Iev know about this game coming out for a while now and its finnally out and I am not at all disapointed this is an overall great early access game. There are only a handful of things that might need to be added or worked on, first for the gameplay it might be helpful for the controls and rules to be displayed alittle more clearly and if they were i didnt notice it. That was pretty much the only con that i personally found other than that I can already tell that this is going to be a really good game, im going to tell all my friends about it and coax them into purchasing Daemonical.
Game is way to early to even be called an early access game, it has potential to be good just not anytime soon. No in game XP system, No way of accessing options in game (have to set all parameters before launch), no character customization, Demon transforms at random so you don't even know your the demon until you try to pick up a relic or get close to an alter (which sucks if your all in a group and then poof one of you turns into a demon magically). My advice to anyone thinking about this game is to wait.
I give props to the devs tho, since there is only two of them. The game does look very attractive, keep at it and when its done I may try it again pending on more reviews.
To anyone thinking about getting this game, its only $15 yes, but you will get bored of it not even an hour to into gameplay.
my suggestion is to wait it out until game is more developed.
Amazing game concept. No wait time for matches. Beautiful landscape. One of the best sounding games I have had the pleasure of playing! This game promises to have a lot of growth and already plays like a very polished game!
righttt where do i start ? i can remember seeing a trailer for this months ago and i thought it looked intressting and i know its in early access but how does the devs expect it to keep players coming back when its really really REALLY early access. like this should really be the alpha access invite level. the game looks like it could be fun to play in 6 to 12 months maybe. i would be angry if it was anymore then £10.99 but i shall keep it and wait until its more developed or something. i dunno.
if you've not already brought into this game, i really recomment you wait.
