Mountain Troll is an asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", IndieLip, took the basic platformer template from Construct-2, slapped a couple of asset flipped sprites on it, and dumped the results onto Steam as a cash grab scam.
IndieLip has shown a repeated pattern of ripping off Construct-2 templates and dumping them on Steam.
Don't believe me? Here's some other asset flips from exactly the same template, all shamelessly dumped on Steam as nasty cash grabs:

Look for yourself... these are all exactly the same game!
The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Mountain Troll" is just a very old, very basic Construct 2 template for a simple, badly made platformer that's been reskinned lazily, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so this copy+paste of it can't be recommended.
Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off. Asset flips are an insult to both PC gamers and to professional game developers who create genuine, high quality PC games. Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have. They make it harder for gamers to find genuine games made by honest developers.
To cement the position of this asset flip as nothing but a cash grab, it was dumped onto cheap DailyIndieGame shovelware bundles very shortly after launch. Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from IndieLip.

This game features a small number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all written in either Russian or broken English, appear almost immediately after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this review manipulation.

One day I saw a game for 0.39€, it was Mountain Troll by IndieLip. My curiosity was peaked, after all not every day you see a game at a such low price and so I bought it without hesistation.
After a quick download I launched the game and was hit with the sound of nothing, there is no sound in the game and since there is no options menu I was unable to find a soloution, maybe the game had some awesome soundtrack but alas I had to resort to play some dragonforce in the background to make up for it. I'd like to point out that the trailer on steam features some merry tunes, sadly these were never found ingame..
The game itself is a 2D platformer and you play as a troll (a MOUNTAIN TROLLL!!!) and you have to collect bags that are stored on various platforms, once you've collected all the bags on the screen you're done with the level. There are a total of 12 levels in the game but the objective remains the same: Collect bags.
You control the troll only by using the arrow keys, the steam page does not state whether there is controllersupport or not I was unable to test it as I do not own one. To control the roll is hard, you can't jump while on the move which makes the jumping on moving platforms especially hard. The movementspeed of the troll also makes timing jumps hard and will most likely lead to death by spikes.
In conclusion I did not enjoy Mountain Troll, the controls are clunky, there's no optionsmenu and no sound. Since the objective never seem change I did not feel motivated to play all 12 levels. IndieLip promised me I wouldn't get bored while playing this game, sadly I lost intrest after 13 minutes of seeing the troll get punctuated by spikes over and over.
Gonna have to be a red thumb from me!

This game throbbed my weewee through my shorts. Not fun!
My story starts with this innocent looking gmae. It was on sale so I purchased it and had a blast. I had so much fun that I simply couldn't leave,not to sleep,not to eat,not to do anything but mountain troll. My family soon recongnized my problem and tried to help, but it was no use. I had already sunken down the rabbit hole to a realm of utter euphoria and pleasure. It is there I remain, playing montain troll until I suffer the death I so deserve.
