Windzen is a two-man team, with brothers Nathan and Jeremy Hathcock.
We want to give others the same gift that developers from across the world have given us.
Everything in Entertainment Hero is drawn by hand and the sound effects made from scratch.
It's a little rough around the edges but it was a learning process and a labor of love. We hope you enjoy it!
Entertainment Hero is powered by Unity and made possible with Corgi Engine, an awesome creation by More Mountains.
More information about More Mountains and Corgi Engine can be found at their website here:
Corgi Engine is a fantastic Unity asset for building games, especially for those like us here at Windzen with little or no programming experience.
If you've always wanted to build games but don't know where to start Corgi Engine is the way to go!

Entertainment Hero is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere.
This one is particularly badly made and seems to be trying to be a ripoff of Megaman, if Megaman was a really badly made game that only ever had one player playing it at the same time. Which is not true for Megaman, but it is true for this.
From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
The artwork here is terrible, it's a blend of old retro pixel "art" used as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics, and some of the most amateurish MS-Paint style drawings I've ever hurt my eyes on. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget to arrange someone who can do graphics properly, or lack of talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result of these decisions.
While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic 2D art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the lacklustre 2D visuals.
The controls and game handling are notably very clunky and unsmooth here. It's janky and unsatisfying to play... and any experienced gamer will tell you, the handling, responsiveness and general gameplay feel of the control scheme must be well polished for this kind of game to succeed. Unfortunately, this is something the developer seems to have phoned in, with little to no apparent gameplay testing. They dropped the ball on this one.
The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts.
While this is on PC, it has all the hallmarks and deficiencies of a console game, from the clunkier than needed control scheme to the less than cutting edge graphics. There's 10's of thousands of PC games on Steam, and PC gamers deserve only the best. This might not appeal to many gamers due to the lack of PC-centric design. It's unclear why this game was never accepted on the video game console appliances it seems to have been designed for.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the game all-time peak player count was only ONE player. That's right, only one person ever played this at a time. When I played this for the purposes of reviewing it, I equalled the peak player count for the game. OUCH. The only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.
So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam?
Entertainment Hero is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 11,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
Fun simple Megaman inspire platformer with some interesting gimmicks although there are a couple things that bug me such as only one boss in the ENTIRE game and for some unknown reason there's ice physics in an underwater level. But considering the cheap price and its the developers first game, I think its a game worth playing through :)
