My favourite 2D platformer. Beautiful graphics, plenty of fun, creative, fast paced levels, not too difficult (I love hard games but suck at 2D platformers), but with a few more demanding challenges like time trials plus some neat ideas and twists like music levels. It's worth noting that with Legends you also get access to most of the levels from Rayman Origins so if you aim for 100% you'll get many hours of enjoyable, high quality gaming.
The itself game is great but it requires the Ubisoft launcher and can't be played offline even though its a solely single-player/couch co-op game.
I love this game to bits. I know I may not have that many hours on it on Steam but I was there from the get-go and played it when it launched on the Wii U back in the day. I even bought it on Switch too lmao. The controls are fluid and smooth and the world and characters are strange, goofy, and beautiful. Even if you've never touched a Rayman game before you'll probably enjoy this one, esp if you've got friends that you wanna couch co-op with. (Not to mention this would go so hard on the Steam Deck). I love this game and you might too.
Mandatory installation of Ubisoft Connect and creating a Ubisoft account to just play the game is strongly unacceptable and what makes me not recommend it. Other than that, the actual game is good.
Wow! Rayman Legends is super-duper fun! You get to jump and run and save little blue guys called Teensies. The colors are soooo pretty—like a rainbow exploded! And the music? Oh my gosh, there’s this level where it goes “Bam bam bam!” and you jump to the beat! So cool!
Sometimes it’s a little hard, and I fell in the water lots, but it’s okay 'cause you just try again. I played with my friends, and we all laughed so much. But sometimes we bumped into each other, and it got silly!
I love how Globox looks when he runs. His arms and legs are all wiggly! And the bad guys are funny, not too scary. The best part? Unlocking costumes! I made Globox look super silly!
This game is like a big, happy cartoon I can play. I love it!

I'm currently playing a pirated copy of the game because the version i PURCHASED does not let me in when i'm offline.
if you want to play on your laptop or steamdeck, this means you can't play if you're on a road trip or on the bus without internet. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL.
This is exactly why piracy is always better than buying games from Ubishaft.
Please remove the AIDS that is Ubiconnect and i'll give this a thumbs up.
The game itself is really great fun.. please pirate it and do not support Ubishitty. That includes all their other games. Do not buy them on steam or anywhere else.

I think sticking a bunch of levels from Origins in this to pad out the level count doesn't sit well with me. Then again, they are from Origins so it was nice to play them in a slightly different gameplay format again.
Identical to its predecessor in the way it stacks several borderline impossible tasks at the end in an obnoxious way to halt a march towards 100% completion, and having been through the hell of doing that on Origins I wasn't going to let myself suffer again. Those 8-bit levels are absolutely ridiculous.
Even so, a really fun and enjoyable platformer for the most part. The rhythm levels are brilliantly designed and the bosses superb. They should have made more of these.

the ubisoft login is a bit annoying for a first impression on the steam release but other than that its good!

I have bought this again (i originally got this from the Xbox 360 store) for R$ 17,99 because i wanted to play this again because i cannot play my Xbox 360E anymore,but it requires an stupid Uplay (or U Connect)WHICH ACTUALLY CRASHES MY GAME

It's a fun game to play smooth game play, fun to play with friends. Only negative thing I have to say is that you need ubisoft to run the game after it's done downloading on steam which is dumb. I just want to launch it on the steam and open in steam but I need the ubisoft app to for it to open. Other than that issue the game is fantastic to play with it goofy fun story.
don't get me wrong i love rayman legends so much but this port fucking sucks i mean obviously needing to use ubisoft connect is annoying but come on no controller support?? plus for a collectathon some achievements would be nice. this review is only for the steam port rayman legends itself is amazing

The game is fantastic however requires an internet connection to connect to uplay every time you wish to play the game. This is painful when trying to play on steam deck. Leaving a negative review in the hope that one day this restriction will be removed.

Outstanding platformer. One of the best in the genre. Hopefully, Ubi Montpellier will get to make Rayman Revival someday. At least, they're doing platformers again with Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. There is still hope, folks.

Bought this for my kid, but I've played it a lot. Very nice feeling to the game, and very good soundtrack.
Big minus for Ubisoft shite, but there is alternative load files in community notes so it works without Ubisoft virus loader.
Probably one of the best platformer games that has been made. The level design, soundtrack, visuals and the MUSIC LEVELS!!!! Is just amazing.
But there is one thing that kinda sucks. And that is to play the game you need to do it over ubisoft connect!
But other than that the game is so good so i have bought the game three times. But it was kinda a dumb decision since i have played the game mostly on ps3 and switch and not so much on pc.

Looks great but it makes you install Ubisoft and create an account, and the password just says invalid password to everything I try to type in. Never mind, I don't want to play it that bad
The game base game is amazing by it's self. The character unlocks are super fun and hard, the levels are made with detail and are fun to play. On top of that the ''Back To Origins'' Just feels like bonus content from the other game, having music levels was a great touch at the end of every world. Over all the game has a lot of replay ability, it took me 15 hours to save all the teensies and yet i feel like the game has so much more.
Well, the DRM is annoying. But Legends, the game itself, is still one of my favorite gaming experiences. It radiates joy and silliness like few other games have for me, and I love the straightforward gameplay, varied and engaging level designs, gorgeous artwork and rousing soundtrack, to name a few elements. I just couldn't leave it all dust covered and forgotten in my Steam library—even after beating it every few years on Xbox over the past decade. Wait, it's been that long already?
game is good, but it deleted my progress. the ubisoft launcher is terrible and takes ages to launch. please remove the launcher
Incredibly solid platformer, the movement is so much fun (outside of the underwater segments). There is just so much personality on display in its visuals and score. Practically every level in the main 5 paintings makes use of one mechanic in a unique manner so you'll never be bored. I can't say I was as entertained in the "Back to Origin" paintings but by then I'd played through everything else so it's excusable. You owe it to yourself to play this game at the very least for those music levels.
Honest review, This game Is Very Good the Graphics are Amazing just Like the Story and the Gameplay that brings Nostalgia over the Game and the fact that this Game was made in 2013 is mind-blowing. The Story and The Difficulty between each level makes it challenging and engaging bringing endless-fun to the game, and also there are collectibles which you gotta suffer a lot to get them all. Overall this is 10/10.
well at this point it's better to crack the game, seriously. the game itself is amazing and i love every game with Rayman and i played this one a lot on epic, but as I bought this game on steam the game crashes as soon as i go to options. i searched it up and it turns out that this specific problem wasn't fixed by ubisoft since 2013 what is a big LAME (fucking 11 years). no way to fix it by yourself. im so sad because i love this game so much, i cant even play it now thanks to ubisoft for being such a bad company.
