About the Game
In "Scary NEW YEAR" you try to escape after waking up in the Dark Hell.Story
After an evening of festive New Year celebrations with your friends, you may have indulged in one drink too many. Your recollection of the day remains hazy at best, with only the lingering taste of your final drink resonating in your mind. As you awaken, you find yourself in an unfamiliar and desolate location, disoriented and devoid of any knowledge regarding your arrival or purpose there. The sole possessions in your possession are your bag and a trusty flashlight.
It is imperative that you swiftly devise an escape plan from this perplexing situation.
Gameplay
Embark on an adventure through the diverse landscapes of multiple islands, each waiting to be explored. Amidst the captivating scenery, you will stumble upon forsaken structures and residences that whisper tales of the past. However, beware of the lurking creatures that inhabit these lands, for they pose a great threat. Armed solely with a trusty flashlight, you must swiftly navigate through the treacherous terrain, evading the clutches of these menacing creatures. Your ultimate goal is to locate the designated escape point on the map and successfully depart from this enigmatic place. Prepare yourself for an adrenaline-fueled race against time.

This game was one of the scariest games ive ever played i didnt know walking could be this scary.

I bought this game for $8 AFTER reading the reviews so I was expecting this game to be pretty bad if not a total scam as suggested by other reviewers. I only bought it because it was the only game that was (kinda) about the New Year. I recorded my experience for my YouTube channel, Diamond Surge (check me out lol). Not worth the price.
Four MASSIVE maps. All very dark and very big. Lots of trees, grass and water. A few rocks. A couple buildings and jumpscares. A couple items to interact with that you can't pick up. A car. And one very slow monster that would often sound like its right on top of you but you have to go looking around to find it. Takes some hits before it finally downs you, then you respawn at the beginning with half health. However, even with half your health, if you get downed again.... nothing happened. I mean you respawn again but nothing else happens. You stay at the half health mark.
You have a flashlight AND a camera. Not sure what the camera is for other than to zoom but the zoom is useless anyway as it doesn't really help you see much more. Whatever is on your screen just looks closer. There is also an inventory for whatever reason. Through all four maps, I didn't find a single item to pick up. You have LOTS of space for look, and slots for weapons. Didn't find a single thing. You spawn with the flashlight everytime so there really is no need for an inventory.
I escaped the first map and that was it. I didn't even get the achievement for escaping. All of the other ones I was just aimlessly wandering around. So maybe I had to find the escape for one of the other maps for the achievement? Atmosphere was ok at first, then it got boring pretty quickly since nothing really happens in this game. You can jump a foot off the ground. Why? You can lean left and right. Why? The sprint meter drains quickly and refills slowly.

Buy at your own risk! I rate this game 1/10 since I didn't get that cheevo, at which case the rate would have been 2/10.
