Great game. despite micros. it's still a blast and u don't need the DLCS. + with friends is the GOAT
I bought this game when it was on sale. Once i downloaded and i tried it, during the tutorial i managed to already start to enjoy the game. I've been playing for a few hours now and overall its a great shooter game. it reminds me of doom a lot, I recommend this game if you enjoy shooters
This is a fantastic Co-Op game with the shooting feeling like real. As someone who completed 100% of the game, I can say that the blend of co-op gameplay, intense waves of enemies, and deep customization keeps it fresh and exciting. The variety of weapons and perks gives you plenty of options to experiment, and the visceral combat is incredibly satisfying. The level design is solid, and the enemies are diverse and challenging. Whether playing solo or with friends, it’s an intense, highly replayable experience. If you're into fast-paced shooters with a strong co-op focus, this is a must-play!

Fun game. Too bad it's already kind of dead. Plus the ridiculous amount of storage required for the game. It's bigger than Monster Hunter World, Starcraft 2, Dying Light and Vermintide 2. Why is such an issue still persist? Manually compressing the game is possible but the fact that it has to be done to save around 40 GB is doesn't earn the game any favors from players
Great way to while time. I wish the bosses were significantly different. After a while it gets repetitive. Otherwise great game to spend time with friends. Also discord integration would be good. Currently cant see dc overlay in-game

Little frustrating at first when it comes to enemy health differences, but a bit of learning goes a very long way.
Overall the game is pick a spot on the map, site as a team, and simply shoot away.
Definitely not the greatest game, but overall fun, enjoyable, simple to kill time or earn achievements with.
a good fun first person PvE shooter to play with friends, also can be enjoyed alone or with randoms since the amount of enemies depends on how many players are in your game. the game is easy to understand and it also doesn't force you to do the tutorial and for for those who care about steam achievements there are loads of easy achievements to get!
Great game with really good visuals and an excellent variety of classes and weapons to choose from. Skills for the classes are passive but can lead to interesting builds with different focuses. All classes can use every weapon (maybe with a few exceptions), and the gameplay loop of upgrading your arsenal between waves is very fun. I also love the attention to detail that each map carries, the constant banter between the characters, and just the overall feeling of old-school that the visuals and maps have.
This game has it bugs. But I have played it for years and it unites us as friends. UwU.
It is a very fun game to mess around on I still enjoy playing with friends, but I do wish it was more alive
I've only started playing this game within the past year, so I'm probably at the tail end of the game's lifespan. That said, 336.2 hours and 307 achievements and a Killing Floor 3 announcement later, and I felt that I should tell you that this game is still pretty good. I actually discovered the soundtrack before the game itself (I'm a fan of Demon Hunter), but they fit together quite well. I typically don't play the game online though; I usually prefer to play solo or, occasionally, with a friend. The weapons range from gritty and nasty to whacky and nonsensical, but they're all pretty fun. I also like how rich and diverse the maps are. The ones that lean into the bizarre and horrific are usually the most fun (e.g. Nightmare, The Sanitarium, Elysium). Steam Workshop also a ton of cool user-created content that makes the game feel fresh. I bought the Digital Deluxe Edition for about $10. My only regret is that I didn't just spring for the Ultimate Edition right away instead of deciding to buy the DLC separately later on. Right now the Ultimate Edition is $10.49 for Steam Winter Sale, which I believe is an excellent price and well worth paying
I play the game on Steam Deck OLED. It runs really well. I've never noticed it stuttering or chugging while playing. The only problem I've noticed with it is when trying to start a private lobby for playing with friends. When I try to enter a password with the on-screen keyboard, the screen locks and I have to restart. My workaround is to plug in a keyboard long enough to type in the password, then disconnect it.
It's like L4D2 but way more intense, with all different types of zombies, a really crazy but fun game to play with your friends.

I like the first one better due to the maps and weapons, but this is still a fantastic co op game and both of been multiplayer obsessions of mine. There’s also a lot of content and it’s currently on a high sale. Can’t wait for KF3!
After spending a lot of time playing since last time, I can now speak confidently about the game. (Note i have 2 accounts that has almost same play time.)
Why is it fun?
The core gameplay on Hard and Suicidal difficulties is really enjoyable. Hard isn’t too easy, and Suicidal isn’t frustratingly difficult—it strikes a nice balance.
Having different perks keeps the gameplay refreshing, especially if you haven’t hit 1k hours yet. You can focus on melee, automatic rifles, shotguns, etc. Weapon handling feels great, except for some DLC weapons (looking at you, FAMAS). The animations are super satisfying to watch (I LOVE MY TRENCHGUN!)—again, excluding the DLC ones.
Unlike CoD Zombies (pre-BO4), the enemies here have a lot of variety, which keeps the gameplay from feeling repetitive.
The weapon variety is also solid. Each perk has its own set of weapons, and while some might seem goofy on paper, they’re surprisingly fun to use in practice.
Why is it not fun to play?
Normal and HoE (Hell on Earth) difficulties are where things fall apart.
Normal is like a beginner-friendly FPS mode—almost insultingly easy.
HoE isn’t bad if you know map design, but it has two glaring issues: enemy teleportation and Quarter Pounder (QP) spam.
Picture this: you’re playing a solo HoE game, and a bunch of big enemies spawn and start closing in. You decide to kite them around the map. Sounds like a solid strategy, right? Wrong. If you’re not extremely careful and lack fast or AOE weapons, you’ll end up with 10 invisible crackheads kicking you to Brazil—or worse, a dumb, ugly, fatso puking on you while a screaming hobo woman finishes you off.
Somehow managed to survive that chaos? Congrats! Now get ready for 5 Quarter Pounders to spawn at once, with 4 of them already enraged.
QP issues:
Group spawns: A single FP (Fleshpound) might deal 50 damage, but 4 QPs hitting you simultaneously? That’s devastating.
Headshot resistance: Most enemies’ heads have about 1/3 of their total HP, but QPs’ heads have 2/3 of their HP, making precision perks feel like a nightmare.
Playing as a precision perk without AOE options feels like you’re on an extra-hard mode—especially in multiplayer, where countless inbred clones rush you from all sides.
Final Thoughts
Despite its flaws, if you’re looking for a game to chill out and kill hordes of enemies but are bored of CoD Zombies or L4D, this is worth a shot. Just be aware that the game is in its end-of-life phase: online mode is okayish, but there won’t be any more updates or events.

For as much as I loved the first one, I was sure I would've loved the second one, but it is such a sad, sad departure.
It's bloated, it's not even slightly entertaining. chocked full of poor development choices and questionable decisions exclusively designed to wring every penny out of its die hard fan-base with least amount of effort possible, may Tripwires days be numbered, their quest for money is nothing but a dead end path leading to bankruptcy, a fools errand truly.
I have had this game for years I love playing it. It's a great wave or endless or weekly "Zombie" game more or less worth for the Sale 100%
This game is a fucking mess, I'm not even sure where to start off in this review. I guess I should start with the only good thing this game has going for it, which is the actual gameplay.
Shooting zeds in this game is fun, just like it was in the first game. The guns feel good to shoot, the enemies are responsive to damage, and while some guns aren't as punchy as they were in the first, it is still enjoyable to unload into a group of enemies. The game is built on a very solid foundation, gameplay that has clearly received a lot of work and polish.
I'm extremely disappointed that I have to write the rest of this review in rant form because that's it. That's the only good in this game. Almost every other facet in this game is abysmal. I will now go over every part of this game that makes me want to spit on the floor.
Enemy design and Sprinting: To appeal to CoD kids, Tripwire decided it would be a good idea to add sprinting into the game. In doing so, they inadvertently fucked the pacing, tone, and design of the enemies of this game. In order to balance the new player speed, the maps had to become bigger and enemies had to be faster with them. And just like that, being able to sprint is now pointless because you can't outrun anything and don't get anywhere any faster. Now, every map is a fucking circle with no good camp spots cause CoD zombies has apparently shown us all the way that constantly running is the "superior" way to play these games, and every boss is a brain dead "sprint after the closest guy and bonk him really hard" fight. It's dumb, it's not fun, and I don't like it. But that's not all, Tripwire decided to add more enemies that fill no missing niche and cram in things like robots to just fuck with the entire style of the game. They don't belong in anyway and serve no purpose that the husk doesn't already fill.
Bosses: I know I mentioned them already, but holy shit they are bad! Thanks to the sprinting and this new mentality of "fuck campers", every boss just runs at the players to hit them with whatever weapon the devs decided to give them. Not a single boss is engaging or thought provoking or enjoyable to fight, not a single one! They are all varying degrees of annoying to downright shit, literally. The giant bloat that shits out smaller zeds is a testament to how far Tripwire has truly fallen in their ability to make anything worth a damn. I have never seen a more blatant attempt to make a funny boss fail so hard. But honestly, I loathe the boss rounds so much that I'd rather just leave a match after finishing the last wave, it's pathetic that this was the best they could come up with.
Maps!!!!: Did I mention the maps, cause they're not good. Most of them boil down to huge open spaces to run mixed with hallways to get caught in. It seems like they've been scientifically created to be as frustrating as possible by placing enemies in as many nooks and crannies as possible to fuck you. Also, there seem to be dead-end places in every map for no reason than to get players killed who accidentally run in them. They serve no purpose than to be traps, and it boggles my mind as to why they are there. No matter where you go, maps spawn enemies around every corner so you have no time to breath or think for a moment, and I can only imagine this is designed for ADD addled zoomers who can't keep their focus on anything for longer than 10 seconds, it's pathetic.
Art Style and Cosmetics: Jesus, this franchise used to have an art direction, I couldn't tell you what style this game is going for if you put a gun to my head. Everything is ugly in this game, from the characters to the scenery. Everything has so much neon bullshit covering it, I feel like JJ Abrams is cumming all over my corneas. And don't get me started on the stupid fucking cosmetics. Every hat, skin, backpack, and camo is actual garbage. Nothing takes me out of my immersion faster than seeing some vile mix of neon trash covering a gritty military guy wearing a hideous boar head. I'm sure all of the Fortnite kids that this dev team wanted to appeal to love this stupid shit, but I'm honestly disturbed that QA let these things go. Having my name attached to the design of these things would be embarrassing to me, and I pray that it is to the makes of this garbage too. I know that the first game had some of this stupid shit in it too, but at least it was very little in comparison and most of the dlc characters were pretty good. Speaking of dlcs and skins, who the fuck asked for this trash to be in this game to begin with? I don't give a shit about the argument of, "well they need to make money somehow", cause I ain't seeing a dime of that money and I don't give a shit. These CSGO style gun skins are unnecessary and a waste of dev time on shit that actually matters, like everything I just talked about.
Honestly, I have no hope for the third game coming out and neither should you. I expect it to play good, but be mired with ugly cosmetics, a fucked art style, and crammed with dumb monetization crap for no reason. Maybe they'll get the bosses down this time? God only knows. I'll be playing the first one, call me when they get their heads out of their asses.

I cannot recommend this game due to its simplicity, repetitiveness and lack of enemies. As far as i've seen the game progess only consists of "higher numbers" and no meaningful gameplay changes.

After more than 160 hours of playing Killing Floor 2, I can confidently say it’s one of the most addictive co-op games I’ve ever sunk time into. It’s all about chaos, strategy, and a whole lot of Zeds. Whether I’m hopping in for a quick match or grinding out perk levels with friends, this game just never seems to get old.

The gameplay loop is straightforward: pick a perk (class), grab your gear, and survive wave after wave of Zeds. But trust me, the simplicity is part of the appeal. Shooting feels ridiculously good—every headshot is crunchy, every explosion is satisfying, and every weapon feels unique.
Personally, I’ve loved experimenting with different perks. One day, I’ll play as the Medic, saving everyone’s bacon, and the next, I’m a Demolitionist, blowing Zeds to bits while probably getting myself killed in the process. It’s all about finding what fits your playstyle, and there’s a perk for every mood.
The bosses, though? They’re no joke. Hans Volter and the Patriarch have wiped me and my team more times than I’d like to admit, but pulling off a victory in those final moments? Chef’s kiss.

The game is over-the-top in the best way possible. Zeds explode into chunks, blood covers the map by the end of a wave, and the maps themselves are beautifully detailed. From creepy labs to Christmas-themed horrorscapes, the environments keep things fresh.
And the soundtrack? Absolute perfection. Blasting Zeds to heavy metal riffs feels like the perfect way to start or end a day. It gets your blood pumping—literally and figuratively.

Requires teamwork at harder difficulties or you are stuck running as medic all the time to heal yourself. Too bad most of the time the teammates are braindead. Find yourself a capable team and the game is really satisfactory.
This game represents everything wrong with modern gaming. The game is 90GB of cosmetics and micro transactions. Killing floor 1 was simple and great fun, this game is over complicated. The mechanics are overall the same as the first game there is no innovation or development its just a blatant money grab. I cannot believe the reviews are so good, this was one of the reasons I got the game. I payed sub £5 and I would refund it if I could. Serious disappointment I wouldn't play this game if it was free.

Runs like dogshit, enemies just pin you in a corner and you can't move, couldn't find another living soul to matchmake with. Heavy microtransactions too.

Absolutely love the game, it's an amazing game to play with friends(or coop/pvp alone). The game though does take a bit of time to get use to, like the aiming, map such and such but once you get a hang of it, you will easily spend hours on it. The graphic looks amazing. Overall, it is an awesome game to play with friends or team up with online players, and best of all you get to create and play on custom maps! Loving it and really enjoying it!

Killing Floor 2 is a fun horde survival co-op shooter for up to 6 players, featuring 10 classes, confusingly termed 'perks'. Each additional player increases health, damage and number of enemies, and each class earns xp with a new perk every 5 levels. You earn currency in each round and can shop for armor, ammo, upgrades and entirely new weapons. Games last 4, 7 or 10 waves, with an additional boss round (5, 8, 11). An 'endless' mode exists as well, but I haven't tried it yet, nor the up to 12 player 'versus' mode. There are numerous, good looking maps. Even in late 2024 there is no shortage of players for most of the day from what I can tell, but it is decidedly less fun solo - when I can't find players I prefer Vermintide 2, where the 3 other slots get filled by bots. Running alone through the - usually - very large maps is... not so much fun.
The 1.40 euros for base game when on sale are well invested. DLC are entirely cosmetic (I never buy those), with the exception of 2 'armory' DLC which provide new weapons. Neat feature: if even one of the players of your team has those DLC, the whole group can use them!
Be aware that the game is 'always on', although once the game loads there is an option for 'solo offline'. I haven't tested that yet and don't care to tbh (I've had a few online games where nobody joined, usually after midnight, hence my complaint about solo play).

The game is really nice. But the most annoying and stupid thing added to this game was the slow motion part. It is by far the most annoying thing the devs added in this game. When you are surrounded by a bunch of zombies and the slow motion process begins it is a real hamper when you are trying to shoot and focus. I have no clue or understanding why the devs put this crap in but for the love of god TAKE IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!
The Game is more fun when played with friends or online. More players more fun.
Solo experience might become a little boring since it becomes repetitive.
The fps is capped at 62 ( unlockable ) and can drop significantly when hordes of zombies surround you.
Graphics are good, gore is good too
