Rhythm Doctor is a rhythm game in a world where defibrillating patients' hearts in sync with their heartbeats has healing properties. Slam your spacebar in perfect time on the 7th beat, and they might just come out okay. But beware - every patient has unique illnesses based on complex music theory: polyrhythms, hemiolas, irregular time signatures...if you don't know what they mean, don't worry. Rhythm Doctor is designed to make you learn music and rhythm theory without even realising it!

Great rhythm game with cool characters and art style. The ost is great and levels have interesting mechanics, definitely recommend it for everyone that enjoy rhythm games.

Bought this lil game after seeing a let's player play the 1st few stages - it's a hard game for 'only one button', and they constantly give new things to make the experience expand and feel fresh.
I was already having a good time, then the Boss Stage in act 2 hit. I cannot emphasise enough, how surprised and yet smiling from ear to ear the boss had me, really excited to experience the rest of it - i liked the experience so much i actively sought a PERFECT on it, and I can't wait to see what else the game has in store.
If you are a rhythm fan, please play this, it may be tricky, but the surprise and charm will surely win you over just as much as it has me. :)
Amazing. Worth every penny. There were several moments that played with my heart and swallowed it up like an unsupervised toddler around play-doh. The rhythm dogtor thing is funny and there's infinite things to do. Would recommend, even if you have a horrible sense of rhythm. Devs, this is all I have to say:

This game just hits all the right notes (sigh). The art, music, gameplay, and story are all top notch. Its like pringles, once you pop, the fun don't stop. This game is just really fun, and doesn't feel like an early access game, I haven't encountered bugs (other than not yet getting an S ranking, damn its hard to get an S).

This is a polished, charming, “warm and fuzzy” game that has scratched my itch for another Rhythm Heaven. The music is lovely, the story is surprisingly moving, and the main levels do a great job of introducing and then fully incorporating various musical concepts like subdivisions, irregular time signatures, syncopation, and off-beats. That being said, I do have a few gripes, especially with the collaboration levels and some of the Act 5 stuff. Rhythm Doctor doesn’t ride the line between “sightreadable” and “needs a lot of practice” particularly well—it often swings wildly between being extremely simple and having far too much going on at once. And while some levels have skippable dialogue, some of the later ones don’t, which means that you’ll be sitting around waiting through the same conversation over and over again while attempting perfects. These qualms made my otherwise amazing experience with Rhythm Doctor a bit frustrating.
I still think Rhythm Doctor is worth picking up, though, unless you don’t enjoy rhythm games. Just prepare for some random difficulty spikes.

Everything from the art, to the music, to the suprisingly adorable story are just amazing.
I would say it is rather forgiving, but if you want the perfect score, it gives (at least to me) the same bite and rewarding feeling from learning a boss in a souls game.
You learn each song bit by bit (wich are, again, amazing) and you see yourself improve.
Very fun rhythm game. Cute artstyle with charming characters. Can be played with only one button. Highly recommend if you are rhythm gamer.
After almost 30 hours of playing and a 100% achievement save file, I can confidently say this is one of my favorite rhythm games. Up there with A Dance of Fire and Ice, guitar hero and whatever 4-key I'm playing at that moment.
I am impressed by how they managed to put SO much depth into such a simple concept(especially when the window un-fullscreens and starts moving to the beat). This is a MUST BUY for rhythm game fans!
A very underrated rhythm game. All the music slaps, and I love the small bits of lore sprinkled throughout the game. My favorite kind of rhythm games are the ones where you have to remember certain audio cues and react just like in Rhythm Heaven. Top 3 Rhythm game 9.8/10
(Also most of the workshop levels are crazy hard, but still fun)
I absolutely adore this game. I am so excited to see what else the devs cook up for this. It's honestly in fisticuffs for first place with A Dance of Fire and Ice for my favorite rhythm game (coincidentally also made by the same folks, they just really know how to make a good rhythm game).

Great soundtrack, unique gameplay, and there's even a great story surprisingly. I play a lot of rhythm games and I feel like there is always a balance between difficulty and fun and this game does it so well! This game is definitely not easy but it does a good job of creating a balanced difficulty curve and gradually progressing you through the different levels. Even after completing the game I still come back to it and replay some of my favorite levels and the devs have been consistently adding new content since I first purchased the game. You can tell the devs really care about this game and there are so many emotional moments in this game that have made me cry that it has changed my perspective on what a rhythm game can be. I even use this game as inspiration for my solo projects and it's the only game that has motivated me to create a review and share my thoughts. I just love it so much and I cannot recommend this game enough. 10/10 ❤
One of my favorite games of the genre. The bosses and the external factors of those levels is so cool! My personal favorite being All the Times with the screen literally jumping and moving around. Would highly recommend for any rhythm game enjoyers.
This games will surprise you so many times, you will wish you could live it for the first time right after beating every stage. The songs are amazing, the gameplay (press space on beat) seems simple enough but there are so many surprises and twists, you are not ready. A real labor of love, jump in right now !
This game is amazing, ive played for not very long and ive already fallen in love with it, despite not being the greatest at rhythm games, which this game has improved that skill, i love this game. It is SO charming and I love the characters so much, I've not had a single bad moment with this game other than times where I'm simply bad at it. I find myself reopening this game so often just to replay a level or two that i really like.
If you like rhythm games and havent gotten this game, what're you doing without this game in your library? Get it already! It's great! Stop reading reviews and just get it!

i havent played any of the new content past 2023, but what i will give this game is how every rhythm gamer i know loves this game, and i loved it too, so difficult and challenging, but its so engaging with the one button, and i may need to replace my space bar, its looking rough
This is by far one of the most creative takes on a rhythm game I've had the pleasure of experiencing in recent years. Beautiful thematic storytelling, challenging takes on subdivisions and polyrhythms, and some of the most satisfying visuals with the way the game window itself is used. I remember my jaw dropping at the first boss stage, and with the recent release of Chapter 5, that magic has absolutely recaptured my love for the game once more. It boasts fantastically written music that varies in genre, with some amazing vocal performances that I have put in my personal playlists since. Rhythm Doctor has a little something for everyone, and I just can't stop coming back for more.

Very fun and well made game, most of the songs are bangers and there is a lot of replayability because of the steam workshop.
after getting 100% achievements i can safely say it was a lot of fun and a decent challenge the only achievements i found to be annoying was the two player ones and the beans hopper one. (very much a skill issue)
in short very fun game and worth picking up + decent challenge for completionist's too.
Do not get confused about this game being in Early Access. All it means is they're still willing to give out updates. As a short rhythm game there is enough quality to really justify purchasing.
Every single level is new somehow. Either a new mechanic, or cleverly combining multiple ones. The presentation is spectacular, and they make it as fair as possible for you to rely on audio instead of visuals.
If you like Rhythm Heaven, even any other rhythm game (heck, if you like A Dance of Ice and Fire this was made by the same people) please do not skip out on this. The level editor is robust and accessible enough for customs to really drive you further into this game when you feel that you've enjoyed as much as you could or perfected all of the levels (or their alternate versions, mostly with new songs!)
And final note: If you do purchase this and decide it's not as great, please play until beating the boss of the second world at least. It is completely worth it.

This has got to be one of my favorite rhythm games of all time! I love this game and I really like its mechanics even though its only in early access. Its a simple concept that gets expanded past its limits in future levels and I hope they keep on building on the concept in future updates. Extremely underrated highly suggest to people who like rhythm games such as Rhythm Heaven!
Rhythm Heaven but they took a single minigame and made an entire game out of it
awesome game! wish there was more but for now this scratches my itch in the perfect way. only thing i could wish for are some sort of sound profiles so i can have different calibrations for headphones, wireless earbuds and stuff without needing to find the right calibration every time i switch!!
This is hands down one of the best rhythm games I have ever played. Each character is charming, even the characters with one song, and the music is incredible. This game is still (as of review time) in early access and it seems that any content add makes this game more worth it. A try musical gem.
This is a fanominal game, I've played a pretty good while, S+ ing all the levels, and I love all the crossovers, getting all the achievements, and the ability to play songs faster and slower than normal. also some of the things it does to distract you in boss fights are so cool and I can't even figure out how they were abler to do them.
Very creative, and not just music-wise. The mechanics are great, and still really clever all throughout. Been following this game for a couple years now, and I have no idea how I haven't given it a thumbs-up until now. Love it, and I can't wait for the full release.
i don't even remember how i found this game but this is what i would call a hidden gem i had an unexpected amount of fun with this game and def trying to get all the songs with the highest score!

I love how much they've made with such a simple rhythm game. I specially like the distractions the game employs during the stages, some are quite mind-blowing.

I am 2 hours in. Literally everything has been a highlight for me. All the levels are uniquely designed, the music is amazing, all the boss gimmicks I've played so far (just finished act 3) are really fun, the characters are wonderfully relatable and likable, and the simple-yet-hard design is pretty much what should be the rhythm game standard in my opinion.
I have not explored the level editor yet and I already know it's gonna be amazing.
I do not regret the 15 bucks I spent for this and I don't think I ever will.

I love this game! very update, I am here for it! It is difficult even though the control is only one button, but the songs are great and the narrative that they are making is very sweet.
Would 100% recommend if your okay with making tones of mistakes because its fun either way.

Super cute and charming rhythm game. Feels responsive, sounds amazing, and with a heartfelt story to boot. Great workshop too.
By far my favorite rhythm game on PC. The gameplay is fluid and fun with good challenges that make it comprehensible while still not making it easy. It's the kind of rhythm game challenge that I've been looking to play for a long time.

Possibly the only early access game I've played that consistently and significantly exceeds my expectations with every update. Charming, fun, scratches the rhythm game itch, and has a great sense of humor - I failed a level so many times that the characters' dialogue changed to comment on it, and I was so focused on the level I nearly missed it!
Calibration system is atrocious and only works for robots. I got stuck at 2-3 for 20 minutes because the calibration algorithm circa a month ago decided that my one accidental -53 millisecond hit was proof that I was running on MS-DOS and needed to be compensated for accordingly
This game is insanely slept on. One of the best rhythm games out there! It's easy to love the characters in this game and the story is pretty funny for it taking place in a hospital. Really great job, Devs. Keep it up!
Great rhythm game. The emphasis on audio cues makes it much more satisfying. Rhythm games should be about syncing player input with music instead of keyboard/mouse movements, and this game excels at integration with the music.

By FAR the BEST Rhythm game since Rhythm Heaven!!! HANDS DOWN! I hope to everything this gets a full release, I hope this game has so much success and Im soooooooooooooo happy that I found it. It is hard as hell but what rhythm games do for my adhd it hit the sweet spot. I am a fan for life. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Worth every penny!
Best rhythm game i've played, songs all slap, the feeling you get once you get the rhythm after struggling at a song for a while is crazy, no other game that I have played is like that. Game is so fire that it will minimize on its own during a song, and starts using the songs rhythm to dance around your monitors desktop. 10/10 Indie games FTW.
