"Rayman® Origins" is a colorful, dynamic platformer created by Ubisoft. Is a real platformer that, on the one hand, is easy to understand and, on the other hand, can provide demanding challenges. Rayman has no limbs - his arms and legs float independently - which gives the game a distinctive look and dynamic movement. The gameplay is based on simple rules: running, jumping and avoiding obstacles, but the variety of levels and opponents makes it never boring. Subsequent levels introduce new skills that help you discover secrets, which adds an element of exploration to the game.

Be careful if you want to play it with friends online, though: Remote Play is finicky in that the game only detects controllers already plugged into your computer before opening it, meaning it won't let someone join in over Remote Play if there isn't a "slot" available for them, so to speak. Playing with 4 people, for example, would require you to either have 4 controllers (or 3 controllers plus keyboard) plugged in for the game to properly register everyone, so you won't be able to play with your desired amount of people if you don't have the controllers to match the player count.
Besides that, highly recommend trying it out.
only good product ubisoft has made. Would definitely recommend it for anyone who is bored and want an exciting game to play

I’ve played some bad games in my life, but Rayman Origins? It takes the cake. Imagine being hyped to relive some platforming glory, only to realize that the loading screen is where the “fun” ends. That's right – I couldn’t even get into the actual game. Who thought it was a good idea to make the loading screen the main event?
It’s one thing for a game to have flaws in gameplay or story, but it’s a whole new level of frustration when you can’t even start the game. I sat there, watching the loading icon spin endlessly, wondering if this was the true “challenge” the game had in store. Hours wasted, patience tested, and still… no game.
It’s 2024, and somehow, Rayman Origins manages to feel like a relic from the stone age of gaming. Except back then, games actually started. This thing sits there, mocking you with its endless loading, as if you’ve got nothing better to do than waste your life watching it fail at doing the ONE thing a game is supposed to do: RUN.
If you enjoy burning your time, money, and sanity, this is the game for you. Otherwise, avoid this piece of garbage like the plague. Absolute trash.

Ah yes, the only good Ubisoft franchise, yet they still refuse to make a new game after 11 years.
Don't buy any of Ubi's other crap, just play Rayman's library of games.

I had never played any of the Rayman games before. This has been one of my best purchases. Haven't had as much fun as with other games as I did with this game (specially on co-op mode).
Some levels are hilarious. This game is great fun. It's def worth full price, even more on sale.

The game refuses to make a new save file. Tried fixing, nothing worked. Can't get past the main menu, literally unplayable
Rayman is for sure one of the games that make you smile and enjoying the time you're playing the game and the warm and chill environment the game has really makes you experience a lovely time but the problem is the FPS which is corrupted on this version of the game idk why but the game is shuttering all the time like you're playing on slow motion cause the fps is under 60 usually...

Especially the second and third part ;) (The Great Escape and Hoodlum Havoc)
Those nymphs are gonna catch their death of cold if you ask me.
I mainly played this and legends on my mobile. But those 2 games were so underrated.
We haven't had a Rayman game like these in almost a decade. Sad really.

Holy crap they speak Pig Latin
An alright game. Could definitely be better. It has issues with controllers and the controls themselves can be finnicky. I couldnt get it to play properly with a d pad. The blue hand things that grab you can be annoying. You fall through things you swear you landed on at times.
Origins left me really wanting to play Legends but that game requires ubisoft connect which is broken and didnt let me create an account after 45 minutes of attempts so to hell with it.
This game shares a LOT of similarities with Super Meat Boy and came out around the same time.. But, Super Meat Boy is a much better game with way better controls and it was only made by 2 people so while Im giving Origins a positive rating Im still not impressed.

This was the first video game I ever played, a relative gifted it to me on christmas when I was six, I never asked for it but I absolutely loved it. I still have the original cd, but it's not compatible with my PC so when I saw it was only 10 Euros on steam I had to buy it and I gotta say, it's just as good if not better than I remembered, for that low of a price it is way more than worth it, I'd recommend it to anyone who is even remotely interested in 2D platformers, you don't even have to be that absurdly skilled, it is genuinly so charming and so much fun!

scam , advertises controller support but only for 360 (nearly 20 years old) and somehow is the only game ive ever played that blocks steam input what a surprise it's a ubisoft game
