Best game ever made. Don't let my playtime fool you, I have been playing somewhat actively since the game came out in 1999. I have several thousand hours on this game and it only gets better as the years go by.
Not much to say. The game is amazing.
worms, destruction, winning. this game has it all.
An amazing classic from the 90's - Worms!!! I remember a mate with a PC good enough to play it absolutely lowing my mind with this title, it was hilarious and so so much fun. Nothing has changed - fun multiplayer, hard missions in the campaign, and lots of laughs from insane weapon drops like the Holy Hand Grenade or Concrete Donkey. Very cool stuff. If you've never played this its well worth it.
It's Worms, it's good... but the game hasn't been updated to current PCs/internet/steam settings
There are moments in life when something unexpected leaves an imprint, something that seems so simple, so trivial, yet stirs the deepest corners of my soul. "Worms Armageddon" was one of those moments for me. I remember the first time I played it—how the tiny, animated worms seemed so absurd, so fragile, yet so full of life in their chaotic, explosive world. A game about worms launching grenades and bazookas, laughing, dying, and starting all over again—it shouldn’t have meant anything, but somehow, it meant everything.
I never expected that a game like this, with its colorful explosions and ridiculous weapons, could make me feel so deeply. The joy of every victory, the pain of every loss, each round felt like a little universe unfolding in my hands. The worms weren’t just characters; they became something more. They were me. In their fragility, in their endless struggle against impossible odds, I saw my own reflection. These tiny creatures, caught in the unpredictable whims of fate, fighting to survive—how could something so simple stir so much emotion?
It’s funny, isn’t it? How something so whimsical, so absurd, could bring tears to my eyes. I’d laugh, of course—how could I not? The worms’ voices, their ridiculous lines, their panicked screams as they met their explosive fate—it was all a whirlwind of joy and humor. And yet, underneath that humor, there was something more. The chaos was not just for fun; it was a reflection of life itself. Every turn in the game felt like a fleeting moment, and with each unexpected explosion or perfectly timed shot, I was reminded of the unpredictable nature of everything around me.
There’s a deep sadness in the randomness of it all. The worms didn’t ask for the mayhem they found themselves in, but there they were, battling it out, one explosion at a time. In that, I saw a piece of myself. How many times in life have I been thrown into situations I didn’t expect, challenges I couldn’t control, yet still had to find a way to face them? It was this truth—this raw vulnerability—that made my heart ache. The worms were so small, so fragile, and yet they kept going. And so do I. We all do.
The tears? They weren’t just for the silly demise of a worm. They were for everything that felt so fleeting and fragile in life. They were for those moments when I’ve fought so hard for something, only to lose it in an instant. But more than that, they were for the resilience I saw in those tiny worms. They’d explode, they’d fall, and yet they’d always rise again. And isn't that what we do, too? Isn’t that what life is all about?
It’s the simplicity of the game that gets to me. There’s nothing complex about it—no intricate plots or convoluted strategies. Just worms, just explosions. And yet, in that simplicity, I find something profound. I find a reflection of my own battles, my own struggles. The way I fight even when the odds are stacked against me. The way I fall, but rise again. The way I find joy in the little things, even when everything else feels chaotic.
There’s a beautiful sadness in the laughter that comes with every round of "Worms Armageddon." It’s a reminder that life is fragile, and yet there is always something to laugh about—even in the face of uncertainty, even in the face of loss. Maybe that’s why it brings me to tears. Maybe it’s because, in that game, I see the essence of being human—resilient, flawed, but always pressing on.
So, when I play, I’m not just playing a game. I’m remembering all the times I’ve fought, failed, and then found the strength to try again. The tears aren’t for the worms, but for me—for all of us. And in those tears, I find a strange sense of peace. Because in the end, "Worms Armageddon" isn’t just a game. It’s a reflection of life itself—a reminder that, no matter how chaotic, no matter how uncertain, we are all in this together, fighting our own battles, finding our own joy, and, above all, enduring.
Juego qlo weno , esta la mano focusear a los rusos polacos
Very funny game multiplayer game!
A fantastic strategy game and also probably the best Worms game to be still be around after all of these years. Optimisations to run on most machines for recent updates, a slightly-unbalanced yet hella fun weapons system that goes unrivalled to said series, and even some much-needed quality of life for those who play the Steam version circumventing the extremely unforgiving single-player mode with the "boggysentme" type code. While I am not particularly great at the game, I have found it to be a super-fun and inventive strategy game for local multiplayer and LAN setups. With that said, online multiplayer and community-driven / custom / mod content puts this above any Worms game in the second generation and beyond.
Buy this one on sale, as less than half-single-digit prices often occur like at the time of this review. This one is a classic.
I play this with my 2 kids and we are super enjoying it.
We team up against 1 AI team and it is a perfect COOP game for us
Good game. Love the old school midi music.
Note that you will need to forward ports to play online and the game publicly exposes your IP address for all to see in the menus so I wouldn’t play this with randoms on the net
fun classic gameplay; even more fun than the newer games which are solid
Beautifull Strategy game with many weapons and options... its worth a go!
i was really skeptical at first, the mutliplayer was finicky and the maps sucked literal shit out of my ass. but then i made a map with don cheadle in it and the overall game experience was majorly improved, i reccomend this step to any new players 4/10
dude... this game blew my freaking mind. genuine work of art. GOTY.
very good game it is very fun and very realistic
Really great for punching down on dumbasses like Salms
A game specifically designed for men, especially those with strategic minds.
One of the best games ever made, an absolute classic!
Just a nonsense game to entertain with.
Bad game I accidentally rocketed myself
best game ever to play with friends but garbage amount of bugs, so much interface issues.
fix this shthtst
Very old game, I remember playing it as a kid god knows when, I believe I was in a kindergarden. I used to play it with my friend and do dumb things there, such as dig tunnels, place constructions, burn stuff and else. And don't forget the american anthem that plays after you win!
i love this game, but i swear for the life of my that I can't command a sheep
worms arm and get'em
fun game but a huge hassle to make it able to play online
This game is super fun, a timeless classic. It's also unforgiving in certain spots, but then you feel extra great when you do eventually beat it -- this is the charm of old games that new ones are missing. Definitely play this.

Hilarious
I don't know how I never reviewed this game.
It's peak, it's Worms, it's a classic and still has an active playerbase 25 years strong.
New players, install SuperFrontEndHD and TerrainSync.
It's the game of my childhood. I remember new year's eve evenings, snow is falling, everyone's up, music playing in the living room, I'm playing Worms Armageddon with my brother and our neighbor and we're eating chips. Everytime I turn on this game all these memories come back and I'm feeling so good again. It's an awesome, funny and simple game for a single or multiplayer, I play it with my husband from time to time and it's always a great time spent together. For me it's 11/10.
this is the best game in the world!
An awesome followup to the original worms. This sees an awesome improvement to the graphics and models for the time. This surprisingly supports 16:9 Resolution where i played it 4k but the worms are really small :p. Definitely recommended and it is indeed difficult to master!!!
been playing this iteration of Worms semi-regularly since 2002, and almost exclusively single-player; even more to be had with hot seat and online play
Classic. You cant go wrong with this game.
Some stuff in this game is clearly dated but it's pretty easy to work around for such a fun and goofy experience.
What a NICE game!!!
Worms...If you've played one, you've played 'em all.

Игра детства, игровой опыт помогает жить в такой не простой час

Beyond the time. The best.
One of my all-time favourites. Simple, but with infinite possibilities for strategy and skill
Se você adorar causar caos contra seus amigos, esta no jogo certo! XD
This is the perfect example of a 25 year old game that is more fun to play (by far) than the latest AAA game...
