Classic parkour strategy game with a funny story and simple graphics. Nostalgia inducing

the game is a lot of fun and the style suits it well, but I'm still very disappointed by the fact that it repeatedly closes by itself, even though my pc is more than capable of playing this game, which made it impossible for me to play this game for a long time.
Tis a fun game to play with a friend that you cant see very often.
Even though I haven't played with them in a while, its still a fun challenge to play solo.
the more I play this game the more i realize im slowly feeding my addiction of slaughtering cats in a prison while doing parkour

Played this more with my best friend at his house on his xbox, but man those memories shine through my middle school years like gold in a coal filled mine
I played castle crashers and so I decided to play this one and it is fantastic, the best behemoth game, just one downside is that remote pkay doesn´t work, I hope it gets fixed soon
Great platformer game. Great soundtrack, sound effects, and sense of humor. There were times I couldn't even continue playing due to how much I was laughing.
Can be player alone in single-player, but can also be played in two-player co-op. In fact, the developers coined the term "co-optional" when describing the game to TotalBiscuit.
When you're tired of the main campaign, you can play countless user levels from Steam Workshop. If you have friends around, you can also play up to 4-player versus maps.
Playing with a gamepad is highly recommended. The game has low system requirements, and will run fine on most computers. It also runs fine on the Steam Deck.
great game but how do i get rid of the chicken toucher achievement
Fun with friends but difficult after midgame. Of course if you are not hunting for 3 stars everywhere it's not so scary ;D
The comedy and the puzzle solving is top class in this charming platform wish there was more story section throughout because the manic energy of the story is great the controls can feel a little delayed at times but worth playing through to the end just for the musical ending

Tons of fun for couch co-op. Funny, engaging, and with a variety of arena modes after finishing the 'story'.
I love this game, I play locally with friends and online with more friends. I have completed the story and I still play it for fun! would recommend, - your friendly neighborhood rat

it may be hard and tormenting but there are many things that make up for that
This game offers highly chaotic co-op platforming that lead to some frustrating, but ultimately hilarious, shenanigans. The narration by Stamper and overall art direction adds so much life to this colorful game.
If you really wish to test out your friendship and still have lots of fun customizing and jumping through many hurdles, definitely try this out.
This game is very good, would recommend you play this game with some friends.

I love this game. Very goofy and silly, I found it after I used to play it on Xbox (i think) but it got removed. I'm ass at the game, and I did have to adjust settings. (Thats normal rlly), and I love how satirical it is, for the life of me. Art style is funky, maybe add tips for people who are stuck, bc I'm slow. I love hatty hattington, i'm gonna hit him with a hammer.

Probably more fun with mates but even then I don't see how this could be more fun then Castle Crashers.
And maybe the level editing is fun, but I can think of so many other games with similar that are better.

Honestly best game in the known universe, not very difficult unless you are trying to a+ all levels on insane. (especially insane encore 3 chapter 8.) I also can not wait for qol update. you will love if you like platforming games.
played this game when I was a kid. Used to play this game with a friend I haven't seen in maybe 12 years now. I played for the first time since then. It takes you right back to feeling a kid.
This is classic platformer fun at a very respectable level. With a long campaign and multiple party game modes for co-op or pvp action, you are sure to get plenty of bang for your buck for this game.
I genuinely have so many childhood memories of playing this game w my brother on xbox 360 but ill spare you the details.
If you want a goofy but still genuine and fun game to play with friends then i HIGHLY reccomend this game.

Best game ive ever played other than garrys mod, Ive been on mac and I've been limited on games i could play recently so ive been stuck on dumb games like Roblox and Minecraft. My friends bought this game to play with each other meanwhile i couldn't because of my computer version, i played the castle crashers demo and realized i could play Battleblock theatre and holy crap it was the best decision i made. this game has SO much content for a low price and its so fun and hilarious I also love the cat guards designs too! i dont recommend playing with 3 people, you wont be on the same team. This game feels so fresh to play!!!!!!!
The best funny platformer game, make sure to buckle your pants
As the first sight you can think that Battleblock Theater is normal platformer game but even though there are some similarities, the dark humor, the chrono levels, the different weapons, ... can change your opinion of this game. I clearly recommend that game.

I like the asthetics of theatre, the cardboard visuals. The specific humor the game uses is fun, the graphics of the NPCs and players are fun and the sounds fit in well too!
I haven't played much in the story yet. I have played it only with a few people, and I start from the beginning each time, so I progress slowly xD

If your a big fan of comedy and creative puzzle solving then this game is for you.
overall, a really fun game to play with friends. the cut scenes are so funny and so cute, i love the voice as well.

This game has a fun theme and many unique and enjoyable things about it. However the platforming and level design leaves much to be desired. I think when this game came out most people didn't really get past chapter 3, from what I've heard. I'm not too much further in Chapter 6, but the fundamental mechanics have wore on me. All of the poor game and level design exposes it self in Encore 2 of Ch 6. When you get to the first checkpoint there's a good chance that the NPC that holds the gem will block the entrance to continue moving through the level. Next you will be finicking with jumping from a 1x1 space and trying to hit the ladder correctly. After you are able to climb the ladder of frogs you will be put into ladder hell which is what is going to make me quit after 9 hours. It is here where the bad design is put on full display. It is uncertain whether you'll jump prematurely or fall where you need to when at the end of a ladder. I could not reproduce any jump from a ladder more than twice. Not to mention if you make it to the very end there is a shitty ladder waiting for you to get hung up on and laser beamed out of time on. I like a lot of things about this game, but I sadly cannot recommend it because the game is inherently dysfunctional. FUCK THOSE LADDERS
