played this game when I was a kid. Used to play this game with a friend I haven't seen in maybe 12 years now. I played for the first time since then. It takes you right back to feeling a kid.
This is classic platformer fun at a very respectable level. With a long campaign and multiple party game modes for co-op or pvp action, you are sure to get plenty of bang for your buck for this game.
I genuinely have so many childhood memories of playing this game w my brother on xbox 360 but ill spare you the details.
If you want a goofy but still genuine and fun game to play with friends then i HIGHLY reccomend this game.
I used to play this game a lot as a child and it brings me a lot of memories back when I come to play it again now, I love this game, its very nostalgic and entertaining :D

Best game ive ever played other than garrys mod, Ive been on mac and I've been limited on games i could play recently so ive been stuck on dumb games like Roblox and Minecraft. My friends bought this game to play with each other meanwhile i couldn't because of my computer version, i played the castle crashers demo and realized i could play Battleblock theatre and holy crap it was the best decision i made. this game has SO much content for a low price and its so fun and hilarious I also love the cat guards designs too! i dont recommend playing with 3 people, you wont be on the same team. This game feels so fresh to play!!!!!!!

I like the asthetics of theatre, the cardboard visuals. The specific humor the game uses is fun, the graphics of the NPCs and players are fun and the sounds fit in well too!

overall, a really fun game to play with friends. the cut scenes are so funny and so cute, i love the voice as well.

This game has a fun theme and many unique and enjoyable things about it. However the platforming and level design leaves much to be desired. I think when this game came out most people didn't really get past chapter 3, from what I've heard. I'm not too much further in Chapter 6, but the fundamental mechanics have wore on me. All of the poor game and level design exposes it self in Encore 2 of Ch 6. When you get to the first checkpoint there's a good chance that the NPC that holds the gem will block the entrance to continue moving through the level. Next you will be finicking with jumping from a 1x1 space and trying to hit the ladder correctly. After you are able to climb the ladder of frogs you will be put into ladder hell which is what is going to make me quit after 9 hours. It is here where the bad design is put on full display. It is uncertain whether you'll jump prematurely or fall where you need to when at the end of a ladder. I could not reproduce any jump from a ladder more than twice. Not to mention if you make it to the very end there is a shitty ladder waiting for you to get hung up on and laser beamed out of time on. I like a lot of things about this game, but I sadly cannot recommend it because the game is inherently dysfunctional. FUCK THOSE LADDERS

This game is so good that my siblings tolerated my company while we played it. Highly recommend.
BattleBlock Theater is a quirky platformer with a hilarious story centered around shipwrecked prisoners forced to perform in deadly theater shows run by evil cats. The real star is the narrator, Will Stamper, whose over-the-top, sarcastic commentary adds endless humor and charm throughout the game. His random outbursts and energetic delivery keep the game’s absurdity at its peak. The music is equally fitting, blending upbeat, zany tracks with strange sound effects, enhancing the chaotic vibe. Both the narration and music work together to create an experience that’s as funny as it is challenging. If you like absurd humor, then this game’s for you.

This is a fun game to play with friends or by yourself. Learning the layout of the levels in single player really helps out when you play together later on. There are a bunch of fun items and levels that get more intense as it progresses. This is one of my favorite games.
A very fun plat former nut can be a little dumb sometimes with grabbing a bar that is upside down but I think it might just be a skill issue

This game is awesome whether you play it alone or with friends. It has a campaign with fun and distinctive platforming, charm beyond words, and its frantic. There is also a mode to create your one stages or games. Just good stuff for a small price in my opinion.

I have played this game for 24 hours and still play it all the time. I recommend this game if you love strategic play while also acting under time. I love how they also slide in a bit of combat every now and then, feels like I'm playing alien hominid invasion. It's truly wonderful trying to get through each map traversing the parkour while also listening to the majestic voice of the narrator. The story and scenes are also wonderful really giving a story to the game. If you get this game you won't regret it. MUST GET
Love the fact I can destroy both the enemies as well as my teammates.
There is so much about this game that makes it fun, the two biggest things being fucking over your teammates and the narrator. It's a relatively simple game, but very enjoyable and I would recommend playing it with someone rather than alone.

Very fun game. I love how they combine strategic, skill-heavy gameplay with absolute nuisance and chaotic humor. Used to play it a ton on Xbox 360. Will say, not all that playable without a controller/on a keyboard, and you even get a prompt on the main page saying that it's much easier with one. Just a little accessibility issue for PC players, I guess. If you've got the controller ready, like puzzling platformers, and love some Space Balls/Monty Python level humor, I'd suggest this in a heartbeat. Definitely a niche game, but an absolute gem in it's niche.
