Short, ideas, no immersion and immersion breaking. It's a fair tale so great. RIP detective.
This game definitely had some potenital, but in the end it fell flat on several things.
So you apparently play as some detective who investigate a house. There's definitely a horror feeling to it, and there's enough tension to actually jump when there's jumpscares. However the "run" sequences are a bit... odd due to the weird soundtrack. However they're quite easy (the labyrinth took a few time but got it eventually).
So what's bad? Everything else. The story is badly told, the translation is essentially non-existing as it was probably done through Google Translate and then mangled an extra time for the sake of it and the game isn't really that good after all.
I usually want to give games an extra chance, but damn I do not recommend this. There's better games like this out there.
The only thing that scared me was the grammar bro. MAH GAWD
Where do I start...? My mouse kept going off to my second screen, so when I had to interact, it would tab me out of game and interact with other objects on my computer. The sound option didn't seem to work and wouldn't change my volume, and the grammar wasn't great as it had a lot of errors and mistakes. Overall....only get this if you get it for nothing. I wouldn't even want to spend £1.69 on it.
This game is really not worth even a cent. The puzzles are an annoying chore and some of which just leaving you questioning how you could come to that conclusion. These puzzles were so infuriating that I ended up giving up on the game. I stopped at the labyrinth puzzle as I had even drawn maps which did not lead to me solving the puzzle and realizing I was putting far more effort into this game than it really deserved. Basically, I'd give this one a hard pass.
Bought it on sale, I didn't expect much and still I was disappointed.
*First of all, the English translation is REALLY bad, and that breaks immersion very early on the story.
*The plot is shallow to say the least. Gameplay feels clunky and the interaction with the environment is not intuitive.
*The puzzles are pretty random, with no good reasoning behind them, so solving them is not rewarding, just relieveing.
*Ambientation is poor. Game really needs some better sound effects and appropiate music to build tension.
*The "monster" is badly designed and not even close to being scary.
*The dungeon, which is supposed to be the spookiest place, had a pointless QR Code on a wall (which doesn't seem to work) and a picture OF THE DEVELOPERS with the text "it's just a prank bro ;)" after a long corridor. I think that's immature and unacceptable in the horror/suspense genre, and just breaks immersion (even more than the broken English).
I don't want to be unfair with this game since it was most likely developed by one or two developers with low to no budget, but I wouldn't buy it again. It wasn't fun, it wasn't interesting, wasn't scary or immersive. I played 20 minutes and got bored, with no will to finish it even though I knew it would only take 20 minutes or so more.
There's totally free games which are amazing, with hundreds of hours of fun gameplay. Why would anyone pay for 45 minutes of mediocre gameplay? Even if it's 50 cents, it's not worth it.
Clunky interface. You have to click on a door's handle to open it, which is hard because of the slow framerate and tiny cursor. The graphics are not that impressive. The game doesn't seem too terribly long and the puzzles aren't insanely difficult, but I can't imagine how I'm supposed to get past a certain part of it. I don't think it has enough polish to be sold as a final product. I do like the "investigate a spooky abandoned house" genre, but I feel like this game wasn't worth the time I took to play it.
Worst game i've ever played as first the graphichs are like tetris game. Developer got all the models from free websites althought bad graphichs 25 fps with a strong enough system. No interactive in the game. Pointless english. Funny jumpscares and boring as hell. even for free this game is the worst!
It started off ok until I got to the dungeon maze where I kept getting lost and getting caught by ghostie so after numerous attempts I lost HART and ended the game.
I wont be starting the game again as that means I will have to start from the beginning because there is no save system so I watched the last 20 minutes on Youtube what I done and saw thoughout the game is what I have done in other Horror games and much better ones.
I can't get the book and live. This seems to be a little bit to hard. I know now that I can't bye pass it and we should if we try more then 4 times. This part of the game is giving me a head ache. 6/10
The beginning of the game is interesting. I love puzzle and horror games. The English translation isn't perfect, but that is just nitpicking. As you progress, you feel immersed... then you're running down a long hallway, anticipating a scare... and you're met with photo that that says "It's a joke bro". Ok..completely unfunny... ruined the immersion...continue through the maze and you run into a QR code. Code does nothing. Immersion ruined again. I kept running around the maze and became frustrated.. took a break to realize there are no savepoints.

- The english translation dialogue on the notes and other text you can find in the game is pretty terrible, to the point of it being amusing

Final thoughts
- if you can get it cheap and set asside an hour or so to play it through in one (due to there being no save game - I think I mentioned that), then it's an ok little horror game. Not really worth the time unless you're really bored and it's very cheap though.
Harts is fun to play, well worth getting. The only thing i didnt like is that there were no saves, if you were almost done with the game or even half way through the game and had to leave, you would loose all progress and have to start over again. This was crazy. But other than that, i have to say it wasnt a bad game to play. So i will give it a thumbs up since there is no half way recommend on the game.
So in a one hour game there are 4 out place jokes, one ad using Qcode, and 2 personal pictures of devs/friends. This is ok in other genres, but in a horror game it totally ruins immersion. In what is supposed to be a dungeon there are an ad and a picture of the devs saying "Its just a prank bro". Literally all immersion is lost at that point, no fear factor, no hope left in any decent story.
The game is bad and plays like an immature joke. Sadly it had alot of pros, but with horror genre immersion is everything. Seriously devs, update that stuff out.
The one funny joke was at the beginning and was niche enough not to ruin immersion. "I just so happened to have an andrenline syringe". Thats a joke done right.
Nice little horror/puzzle game.
Fun little one. Short but kinda intense. Riddles weren't that hard if you looked carefully, the maze was terrible and the only reason it took me more than an hour to finish this game (also, thanks for the prank). In my opinion it's worth the two bucks (Euros) although the English translation is rather ... well. No native speaker myself, I won't judge.
Get this if you like well made short indie horror puzzle games. Don't get it if you don't. Just don't hate.
Very clunky. Graphics seemed pretty basic and game-play was next to impossible, possibly my system, but I've played much more detailed games without any problem. I gave up on it and got a refund.
This game has one redeming feature its cheap. Graphics are pretty basic and the game is short, very short.
If your happy to wander around for a couple of hours and read some notes and solve basic puzzles then give it a go.
I will recommend simply because it is cheap.
