For such a cheap game under $10 I was not expecting much. If you like Creeper World style games this one does not disappoint. Pacing is a little fast but that's okay because you have Space bar to stop time and plan your strategies. It's a little repetitive but at such a low asking price this game at 3 hours in has me up past 5 AM. I look forward to spending more time with this hidden gem.
well worth the price.
I really like the genre / way you play this. it's kinda chill, but also got action... it's a clean little game
wish this kind of genre of strategy / tower defense version had more like it.
-----------------------------
what I miss here, devs: shortcut keys. especially "build relay"... it would make the game a lot nicer and faster to lay down a basic network in some missions
I enjoyed it. It's a fairly organic tower defense game. You can place "towers" on a 2D plane, anywhere within range of your power network. There are multiple, puzzling, levels. That's all there is to it, really.
Small space tower-defence like game where you build stuff to achive some goals on levels, also includes story & upgrades system as within story as for buildings
Nice game. I played the (hard level) campaign through in about 13 hours and it was fun. Well worth the money and time! :) Find out what the phantom signal is all about! :)
Love the free roaming "tower defence" kinda style it has, follows very closely to the proven formula of That Space Game or w.e it was called (can't play it anywhere since Flash got nuked) so this game is a great filler. For $5 definitely can't complain!
Very underrated tower defense game, i must admit it didn't grab me from the screenshots however try downloading the demo and you can check it out for yourself...for free.
Recommended if your a TD fan like myself.
Pretty sweet game I'm enjoying it so far.
It's a simple but well executed tower defense game, with a few fresh features. A solid port plays smoothly, great hotkey functionality for things like building and selling. Around 20-25 missions and a survival mode with rotating maps each day. The game looks great and is a ton of fun, though not incredibly difficult if you have any experience with RTS games.
Its almost(wish it was longer) worth full price but its an absolute STEAL on sale. Hard mode is hard.
Achievements and leaderboards are broken. Devs seem to have vanished (last appearance in March 2018). Forum shows many bug reports since with no reply from devs. Seems to be abandonware.
This is very similar to (an enjoyable copy of) the free flash game 'The Space Game'. Highly recommended for fans of that game looking for more of the same, but without achievements or leaderboards.
Bought this on sale for $0.59, and I have had a lot of fun! It has kept me wanting to play a bit longer and a bit longer, more than a lot of other recent purchases, and I am still only 4/5ths of the way through the campaign, after ten hours. That's a good value even at full price. The theme of the game kept me engaged, and the pacing of the gameplay - and the variation of level designs - made it exciting to complete each level. The units have a nice design, with bright colors, so it is always clear even when zoomed-out. I liked the ideas that were in the research tree, and being able to modify the research to fit the mission, added to the fun.
The game uses the Unity game engine, and it takes up 340 MBs of diskspace. I played this with an Ubuntu Linux 19.04 desktop, with the mouse and keyboard for controls. I had no technical problems with the game. There is a game demo available on the steam page, and the gameplay is pretty consistent throughout the rest of the game.
Dont get me wrong its a decent game (for the price), BUT if I go through key features in game desctiption:
- Incredibly beautiful deep space - there are some nice wallpapers, nothing breathtaking, google can find better
- A plotline, main and sidemissions - there is a plotline, mediocre sci-fi, you dont miss anything if you dont read it
- Non-linear approach to completing missions - meh, you wish
- System for researching and upgrading unique abilities - its there ... you end up with buch of research points with nothing to spend them on
- Varied enemies with adaptive AI - its stupid always attacking the closest thing, build-sell-build-sell, thats the playstyle to keep them in place
- Ability to select a comfortable game speed for you - max speed is way too slow, for these anoying kill X wave missions
[*]Excellent replayability (potentially) - what? dont see point, with 3 towers, one being best for every mission dont see point
and one more thing, its way too easy, almost boring, fisnihed whole game on hard, probably dying once
if you want same gameplay with much more indepth system go play Revenge of the Titans
fun game busted achievements This game is also a carbon copy of The Space Game on kongregate graphics are a bit better though.if you care about achievements thumbs down and wait for bugs to get ironed out.
THe game has some interesting promise but it gets monotonous quite fast. The drop in price and survival mode helps some. Though the Survival mode becomes tedious with the way you are forced to play and the fact that you're VERY likely never going to get a decent time unless you master the crappiest hyper micro-managing systems. Needs more than a daily 'random' map, something more like ANY other game with a random map play mode.
TL;DR = okay game but wait for the sale when it's a dollar or less.
This is a lot of game for the money. Cost me about $2 on sale and it has lots of gameplay elements and good single player campaign. Its also easy to learn and it gives you objectives and lets you research things so you can upgrade things. You can also slow down or speed up time.
What's wrong with it? It is generic looking. The enemy ships are depressingly generic looking and your buildings are just symbols. Your missiles are okay, but the laser flashes are just too quick and almost invisible. You know they're working because enemies blow up. Once in awhile you might catch a faint blue line. The music isn't much but its good for a late night mood.
It seems like they spent most of their money on creating the campaign and it was worth it. The missions are all a little different and there is a story. I'd give this game an 8 out of 10.
Polished clone of The Space Game, does not offer much surprises (other than the repairing facility is different and less fun than with The Space Game). I am quite halfway through the story at 4 hours, so it seems to not offer too much game play, but it also doesn't cost an arm and a leg, so that's ok. Controls are intuitive (except that I didn't yet find a key binding for zoom). Works well in Linux. Some of the sounds are a bit disturbing (like the high-pitched beep).
Overall, I recommend the game, but I would suggest you wait for a discount/sale opportunity.
the game is a great survival-ish sort of thing that makes you try to go further each time. other than that the strategy and the levels of the game teach you a great lesson of strategy but they're kind of limited but 8/10 would play this game for the survival mode.
A nice small strategy game with a mix of gathering resources and defense mechanics.

5$ price tag fits perfectly for this game. It has a lack of content, but everything looks pretty and it plays funny.
There are 16 story missions plus ~7 side missions. Every mission has different objectives. To achieve these goals you need to construct buildings and gather resources every mission.
Each building requires 1-time amount of minerals and consume some energy while being constructed. Defense buildings requires energy for attack. So, the main gameplay of the game is to find the perfect balance between resource gathering and consumption.
Battle part of the game is simple too. You start with 1 tower and can unlock up to 7 new tower/buildings. Nothing exceptional, but it is a good addition to the main gameplay.

Pros
- Easy to understand. Fun to play
- Levels are trying to be different
- Nice looking but minimalistic art
- Nice sound and visual effects
Cons
- Limited content. Just a few towers and enemies

Resume
A nice strategy game with simple rules for a low price. Can recommend it for TD and strategy fans!
Fun game, no bugs, but needs more content. No sandbox mode really limits the time you can spend playing it.
Had alot of fun with this game.
Very simple in its design but has an intriguing storyline and premise, and it is cheap
Needs more buildables and extra content. Even a free play horde mode or similar would keep you going for a while. While I like the fact you have to spider web around to get resources, I feel that the resource concentrations in most missions is a bit sparse - some missions where you have tonnes of resources but have to do a long hold out would be rewarding.
Appears the devs are aiming to release some DLC content so will waiting for that.
What a cool game! Even though it's pretty hard, you feel badass. You can spider-web your way around, setting up weaponry then recycling it for mining or spider-web out if the resources are depleted. Spread yourself around to absorb all the resources, then retract everything into a single ball of energy and weapons. There is a perk tree and the story has me wondering what's going on. You really feel like a confused but very powerful artificial intelligence.
One funny thing, you'll be a goner not long into the story without the missiles. They're an optional perk, but they're not optional. I think the 100% return on resources upon recycling is almost as important. Without that you won't be as free to move around because recycling and setting up elsewhere would cost material, which you have a limited amount of.
