Наша разведка регулярно предоставляет информацию о подозрительных водителях. Обыщите их автомобили с помощью ультрафиолетового фонарика, а затем используйте соответствующие инструменты, чтобы извлечь контрабанду. Ни один контрабандный товар не должен пересечь границу!

Really fun and original game, congratulations to the devs
The inspection part of the game is so satisfying and fun for me (especially having OCD). It's fun trying to find what is wrong with the vehicle/papers.
it combines the system wich you may know from the game "papers plaese" and adds a story to it. The optional missions, your influence in the storyand the "chores" wich include delivering prisoners and contraband to police station and gulag make the game a lot more immersive.
I like this game, its litterally a soviet border sim, you can turn people away because you dont like them. Just like in real life !
Super fun! Saw a bunch of streamers play it and decided to give it a shot. I have zero complains of the game and its really detailed and allows you to easily dump tons of hours into it. My only concern is how long the game will keep getting updated. I hope for myself and the playerbase that the devs keep adding content into the game.
After watching hours of YouTube videos of people playing this game I finally bought it. Fun game to pass time. Im taking every bribe I can. Buy it on sale tho.
Contraband Police is very fun if you don't mind a bit of jank in your Far Cry-likes.
This game should be 10$ maximum. Okay game but gets repetitive very fast. Also the shooting, driving and UI is complete trash.

I was a beta tester for this game (few years back) and the game seemed promising.
I just came around to buying this game, and it kind of disappointed me, it feels like the game lost it's way and just got bloated with a bunch of "side activities" for the sake of having them. (Campaign)
Inspector mode seems to be bugged, and there's no way to get any weapons that I could find, so when you get raided, you are destined to lose and reset, and the loop continues.
Great game play. The detective work for the main mission was a surprise to me but enjoyable; I wish these missions were a bit more difficult and also there was constant detective work being done randomly throughout the game. Still it's a fun game with different aspects that make it super replay-able.
The game has improved ever since it was released. Every time I play the game, I find it enjoyable and relaxing. Although driving still has a lot of room for improvement, I will say that it was worth it buying it during the sale.
This game is the best police simulator I've ever played I've had so much fun playing this game and I'm barely into this game even with 21 hours in there is so much diversity. one minute your checking passports and arresting smugglers, and the next minute your in a high speed chase. This game is so enjoyable even my fiance loves it we have so much fun playing this. thank you to the amazing developers of this fantastic game y'all really know what y'all are doing when it comes to game development
This game proves you dont need advanced graphics to be a good game. I love how it keeps your mind turning to remember all the things to check for. Ive had a blast so far
It simulates being a border office quite well i just with you could so more things, even small things like smoking cigerettes ingame or drinking more alcohol other than vodka.There should be more than 1 side mission at the same time and days should be longer especially the nights

Contraband Police
Overview
In *Contraband Police*, you’re the overworked and hilariously underpaid border agent of a fictional communist country. Your job is simple: stop criminals, catch contraband, and ensure no one sneaks a goat past your checkpoint. What ensues is a chaotic mix of paperwork, smuggling shenanigans, and enough bribes to fund a retirement villa.
Gameplay
You’re armed with a checklist, a flashlight, and more authority than you probably deserve. Inspect vehicles, match documents, and search every nook and cranny for smuggled goods. Found cocaine in the tire? Great. A chicken in the trunk? Even better. No two days are alike, and the tension of uncovering contraband is only rivaled by the temptation to just... look the other way.
Graphics
The gritty, low-poly art style feels perfect for this bootleg bureaucracy simulator. The vehicles look appropriately beat-up, the environments are bleakly charming, and the contraband itself? Chef’s kiss. There’s something oddly satisfying about slapping a ticket on a rusty van held together by duct tape and hope.
Sound
The soundtrack? Grim and fitting. The voice acting? A hilarious mix of grunts, mumbles, and screaming suspects. The sound of a knife slicing open a seat to reveal cocaine? Pure serotonin.
Customization
Want to be a by-the-book officer or a corrupt mastermind raking in bribes? The choice is yours. Personally, I chose chaos and let every goat and dubious “tourist” through the border. Who am I to judge a guy smuggling 15 ducks in his glove box?
Replayability
Every day brings new challenges, suspects, and ridiculous scenarios. There’s always another smuggler to catch—or accidentally wave through. The procedural generation keeps it fresh, even if my checkpoint efficiency never improved.
Criticism
- **Repetitive mechanics**: It’s a paperwork simulator at heart, and the core gameplay loop can feel a bit grindy.
- **Moral dilemmas lack depth**: Sometimes the choices feel more comedic than impactful.
- **Physics bugs**: Watching a goat launch into orbit isn’t immersive, but it *is* hilarious.

Finished this game as the new year started. This is such a goated game. I like the continuous content and variety of things to look for. Its basically Papers Please but more immersive in my opinion. Pick it up if you like border simulators or just simulators in general.
Love how you don't just do one thing the whole time but also includes fps gameplay, driving etc. Adds a lot more depth and doesn't get boring at all. So addicting.
I'm addicted to this game. I really enjoy simulation type games, and this is definitely in line with that. I also enjoy combat game from time to time and this has both!

Fun game but gets a little repetitive near the end.
It's fun. Has a bit of everything. Work, adventure and play. Work the gate, run prisoners to the work camp, help fellow officers in missions, bring a cop with you. many vehicles, with upgrades all over the place. looting, chases, gun fights.... not too bad.
This is lowkey a goated game, however I think more variety in terms of people would be cool, like 2 or more people in a car, children, etc. But this is still very fun
I helped play test this game awhile back and just had to buy it because of how fun the inspection mode was. Even though the graphics put a toll on hardware even though the quality doesn't meet the demand it is pulling on my system, I would def would recommend.
A very easy to learn but hard to master inspecting game. it has good voice acting, graphics, mechanics and everything, the added combat and ambushes bring spice to the game and as a little break from inspecting. It's very fun and could be addictive.
Not only is this game a masterpiece in which you defend your state from all enemies and smugglers, but it makes you a patriot to a country that doesn't exist. Left my wife and kids to live in Karikatka, LONG LIVE THE STATE!
For simulators and "Papers, please!" lover this game is just A-MAZE-ING! I've started with campaign and really, I have to admit that missions are very interesting, there's a variery of possible task to do and of course great game-mechanics itself. Really enjoyable and chill game. Highly reccommended! :)
Amazing game and super enjoyable to play. At first I only saw it as this repetitive task but then I bought it and it is way more than that. 10/10 and it runs smoothly on my middle of the road computer

this game has very good graphics and it also is very challenging, and it has a good campaign!
entertaining loop. By the time you start getting bored of the gameplay loop, it ends. Maybe an hour or 2 earlier would have been good but I enjoyed the gameplay. Something relatively simple to work on. Wish the world was a little more fleshed out but for an indie game like Paper's please, it's fine.

You can accept bribes from smugglers, kill them after you stamp their passport, and then loot the rest of the contraband from their car. Please never fix this. It's hilarious.
I really like Contraband Police and put two days of my irl time into the game but there is still a lot of improvements that can be made. I bought the game a while ago but didn't start playing until after the announcement of 1 million units sold.
Pros:
- Easy to learn, hard to master inspection gameplay. I still miss spots on cars despite all my playtime.
- Ability to tune difficulty to your liking including the length of the day, enemy difficulty, enable/disable ambushes, the amount of traffic each day, how much you can use the document assistant, etc. I really liked having the day length at max.
- Multiple game modes including a campaign, a more arcade-y Inspector mode, and an Endless mode
- Enemies (and your NPC allies) are fairly intelligent. They'll take cover, occasionally throw grenades, and move from cover to cover. They'll still sometimes stand out in the open though but it's not a deal breaker.
Cons:
- Despite all the improvements, the game is still in a fairly poor state technically. I have an Intel i9 10850k and an Nvidia 3080, not top of the line but not a potato by any means. Pop-in is consistent and near the end of my play time in Inspector mode doors in the final tier of the office would spawn in after I was already in the room so I would have to open up the door on the way out but not the way in. When driving back to the outpost I would regularly have the outpost appear before me and sometimes only really fully appear after I parked outside the partially-visible garage. Ambushes will have enemies pop into existence a few dozen meters away as you're driving down the road. I also ran into what seemed to be a memory leak because occasionally my fps would drop to the low 40s if I played for several hours.
- There's no way to cap your fps in the game other than with v-sync.
Neutral point:
- There was a bug that was fixed a few days ago where you would get a game over if certain NPCs would get downed during an outpost defense. It really annoyed me at the time because you have no control over them and they could just randomly die within a minute of the fight as if they got headshot (they were all at tier 2 out of 3 armor and weapons at the time). I ranted to a friend about it and then within 24 hours there was a patch that fixed it, pretty convenient timing.
I would recommend this game if you think you would like the gameplay loop despite its technical flaws. There's a lot of hijinks to get up to. Get it on sale if need be.

Papers, Please... but better. For those considering taking a job as a border guard in an 80s communist country, look no further. Controls are intuitive and the gameplay is engaging. There's enough to do to keep you locked in for hours at a time. Highly recommend.

I love this game, most likely one of my favorites. Gotta use your game to find signs of contraband and maybe even arrest someone. Just a fun and simple game in general.
This game is so fun if you want to pretend like you are a Russian person during the Soviet times, I feel like this is my true path as a person this is what I was meant for.

Very fun game with a lot of depth and lots of replayablity. Lots of things to keep track of but not very hard to pickup, along with things to do outside of inspection. Combat is not very detailed but definitley not bad or buggy.
Great game additional challenges keep the core task of inspections from becoming a grind

Great game, could use a bit of improvement but for the size of it its a lot of fun
Wasn't as good as it seems. Did the tutorial, realized the game seemed way more in-depth in the videos/screenshots. Also didn't help that the game felt insanely cheap. Would pay 5€ or less but definitely not the current 15€ (48% discount) and most definitely not the full price of 28,99€. Requested my first ever refund. Disappointing.
