Tried uploading a custom track for an hour (all my game time is me trying that) and it does not work.
Could be a good game but misses the mark where most rhythm games do -- the custom track and calibration features. The calibration feels extremely off as there is no way to account for visual latency vs audio latency. These are two separate problems that every rhythm game has to take into account in order for the experience to be enjoyable for players regardless of their monitor, graphics card, or sound card specs. Additionally, when loading a custom track (whenever it does happen to work), the BPM is always off the mark and there is no way to change it at all.
Disappointed but, not surprised. Refunded.
It pains me to write a negative review for this game, but in its current state, TERRORHYTHM is just not that enjoyable
Don't get me wrong, being a fan of rhythm games, I like this game and see great potential for it, but there are a couple major issues that prevent me from truly enjoying the game
Messy calibration system
Other reviewers have covered how this feature breaks when you use controllers, but since I've never used a controller for this game, I'll let you read those reviews for more accurate information. However, there is still something else that is rather done poorly.
The calibration system is supposed to measure your delay and help you make more accurate keystrokes/controller presses, but the system does not do a good job at doing this.
Instead of a metronome style test with a simple click or beep, it just puts some music and a visual cue, neither of which are even close to matching. There is an incredibly large offset between the audio and visual cues, I've had my tests be thrown off into the ~220ms region because of this. Once I learned that it was only the visual cue that mattered, I was able to drop it back down to the double digits.
If you're doing calibration for this game, you might get better results if you mute the game whilst doing it
Patterns suddenly stop for custom music
This happens infrequently, but is still rather annoying.
Sometimes when the game is played for extended periods, the enemy patterns just suddenly stop being generated in the middle of a song, and nothing shows up for the rest of the song.
I've tried deleting and re-uploading my songs, and they work as intended after that, but the issue appears again after a few tracks.
While occasional breaks are welcome, this is absurd. I want to play the tracks all the way, not get slapped with half-effort generation, especially when the music gets good.
All in all, for what it's worth, TERRORHYTHM is a neat game, a great timewaster, but these key components I mentioned desperately require some tweaks.
I will change this review if the game is ever updated and fixes the issues

The calibration system is one of the worst ive seen in any rhythm game, to improve it at least set a base rate and allow for calibration from there?
The songs are very beat saberish but the game is aesthetic and has some nice mechanics like weapons, but a rhythm game you cannot calibrate properly becomes literally nothing its unplayable.
Hello everyone, I want to tell you today about the game TERRORHYTHM, it is a very bright, interesting and positive game. It is ideal to play in the evening after a hard working day, it helps relieve stress and make the day better, I advise everyone to play TERRORHYTHM
Cool game in the style of cyber punk in which you need to fight against your enemies, so as not to plunge into complete silence.
In this game you are greeted by cool music that falls under the blows of a character, which is very cool, it is also logical that there are different levels of difficulty, which cannot but rejoice.
I also liked the visual effects, they are very colorful here, yet here for each enemy has its own music, which is nice to fight with a beat.
If you like music with an active beat, then you will really like this game.
I love rythm games a LOT but this one is just bad...
Also, controller support is broken/extremely lazy and I couldn't get past the tutorial because of a bug.
After turning off my xbone controller in the options the bug completely dissappeared but as I said before the game is pretty bad.
Skip this one, there's plenty of better rythm games out there.
First of all the UI is terrible. I couldn't even adjust my resolution and there is no explanation of what each key does. I cant even navigate through the menus because the keys don't do anything. 0/10 experience NOT RECOMMENDED.
I love rhythm games, especially ones where I can use my own music. This one is fun and unique, but I've had problems with the syncing (but it might just be me) Everytime I try and reconfigure the controls to something more comfortable to me, it goes back to the default. I also experience crashes when I try and use my own music.
Good fun, fantastic visual style, overall great concept of a game. Gets the feel of oldschool arcade game just right, with fast-paced games, lots of defeats, leaderboards that are right there in your face, but without going all nostalgia and 8-bit.
A bit too hard for me, might try again with a controller - and will definitely play it with friends at the next party. Should go well with beer :)
I watched this game for a long time but decided to wait with the purchase before the first updates. From the discussions, I knew about some technical problems with it. However, it's updated now, as the devs promised. That was an incredible experience !!! You have to get into the rhythm of the music and at the same time you're thinking where it's better to hit the next. I liked to play uploading my own Music. Dancing styles fits perfect. Super! Totally Recomend
I like this game. A great way to listen, or rather PLAY your favorite music, it's very funny! For me, the most interesting mode was the custom track. I have high hopes for the soonest full release of this game!
A few months ago I've tested pre-alpha TERRORHYTHM that had a low visual diversity and gameplay.
Today the game is greater than I expected! The last update 0.2 showed that devs have made HUGE stability improvements (as for my laptop).
They could also add more campaign levels, mobs, more build-in music and fix the leaderboards: let us to see all the results!
I wish devs could hear the community!
Terrorhythm, is a 2d, stationary cyberpunk beat ’em up. Born into the same vein as One Finger Death Punch, Terrorhythm sees you in the future landscape of the 25th century where silence is no longer the golden rule, but a golden law and you need to keep the beat to destroy those that would silence you. Overall Terrorhythm has a lot going for it, and as long as they keep the beat and stay on their track this game will definitely be music to your ears.

TerroRhythm - Goes perfectly with music addiction and beat'em up-ing!
Just don't forget to not overload yourself with adrenaline while twitching to your favourite tracks.
Good game concept, however, overshadowed by lag, confusing controls, crashing for no reason, and overall bad optimization.
But take all that with the minutest grain of salt because this game is good, I think that if my graphics card could handle the game then I would have a genuine good time playing it.
Make sure to run this game on a very good computer or it will take you out of the immersion.
Also, note to devs, as I said before, the game crashes very often for no reason.

Only music with stable BPM is playable. Music with changing BPM is not comfortable to play.
It's the second game of that developper. And Terrorhythm likes me much more than their first Star Story (http://store.steampowered.com/app/610310/Star_Story_T..). Well done, guys, nice work in a completely different genre. Don't understand why you didn't make an android ver. of Star Story, but Terrorhythm definitely should be. Have a good luck to developers. Hope you will go ahead with the same RHYTHM.

the price could be a bit less though.

There are a lot to improve, and i hope it can become a masterpiece in rhythm games one day.
For now it's a bit buggy as it crushed a few times, but it runs smoothly, no problems with fps.
As for me TRRT is hard, challenging and fun game.
If you like rhythm and beat 'em it's your game.
