Take a role of a space pirate and delve into a few different worlds in search of the Hollow Throne.
Fight your way through it and save the world!
Hollow Throne is a 2D action-platformer with permadeath and many different items to choose from at the beginning of your run.
Test different builds by choosing non-random upgrade sets for your character. Each run you can choose different upgrades and see how they work with each other and the character you picked.

it's really fun
For $1 Hollow Throne is a decent roguelite, assuming that you have realistic expectations. Unfortunately, this game is all about high scores and the leaderboard is broken, otherwise this review would be marginally positive. The game can be beaten in about 30 minutes, but it could take you a few hours of practice to do so. There are a several interesting artifacts that can customize your gameplay experience, that could add a lot of replay value if the leaderboard was working. Some people have a very hard time in the beginning, it's actually not that bad as long as you upgrading your health on the first level-up; if you really suck just get the burger item and it will give you massive HP. The environment has 4 stages that show up in any order, but they are not randomly generated.
Pros:

+ it is fun to level up and grind stats
+ 2 playable characters
Cons:
- some glitches
- broken leaderboard
- no infinite mode
- poor soundtrack
Overall Thoughts 5/10
This developer is obviously not very experienced , but I think that Hollow Throne had some potential. It could really use an infinite mode and more achievements for extra replay value. I would only recommend it for die-hard fans of the genre, be prepared to deal with some technical problems.

A very fun platformer, that teaches you to learn from your mistakes. With simple yet nice art and charmingly apt music, though perhaps the sound effects are lacking. I like the idea behind item and character progression while the game itself knows what it wants to be and doesn't seem to lose track of its identity..... I certainly recommend the game and anyone who isn't affraid of a very fair challenge should give it a try.
