Stay away from this game. It is another asset cash grab with poor coding and no content. Developers abandoned the game too so there is no hope for the game. The positive reviews are most likely paid for as the game has none of what they falsely praise it for. I strongly do not recommend Wild Wolf.
Whatever this game goes on sale for is too much. It is absolutely awful, the sprint button does next to nothing and the prey animals are faster than you, making hunting for food almost impossible. A fully grown deer doesn't even fully fill the hunger bar. Movement is clunky and awful, there's very little to do, you can't actually befriend other wolves to my knowledge (there's no interact button prompt and they just leave). Nothing like in the trailer. DON'T BUY, get Wolf Quest instead if you're a wolfaboo

This game is not bad, it just has a lot of bugs, making the game very annoying to play, or just not fun to play in general. It does not get any updates anymore (I believe) and is just somehow forgotten. I personally do not recommend getting this game.
As of now, the game is abandoned since January 2018. It had potential, but the devs left it in a unfinished state. Please don't buy this game.

The controls are trash, the only good things are the graphics
For a game that is 10.00 CAD I would expect more out of it.
Why its not worth it.
- No Story. You're basically slapped outside of a cave with a wolf pup that you can't seem to feed. And only like 50 ft from a hunters camp.
- There is no in game goals. I.e. Hunt to feed wolf pup, to help get you adjusted to the game controls.
- Achievements were way to easy to get.
- Sloppy attack animation which makes hunting frustrating.
- Art work was good, but the wolf has a jaw twitch, where the teeth pop out the lower jaw entirely.
- Camera swings around way to easily which can cause some people to get simulation sickness.
- Music/Audio volume is nearly impossible to adjust to your liking.
- Wolf running animation needs a bit of work.
According to the forms of this game, it appears the game developers have dropped this project, so don't expect any updates on it. Don't waste your money on a scrapped project.
Bought it in Jan 2018, it had just been updated in Jan 2018 so I thought it was safe... since then, not a single update? I've seen other people asking for updates as well, asking if it has been abandoned, and so far no answers... total scam, don't buy :( boo
Definitely do not buy this game. When I first got this game, I was hoping for it to be actively worked on and updated (since its still in beta). At this point I can assuredly say that's not the case. Even then, the game is only fun for maybe 30 minutes. The graphics seem to glitch out a lot, especially with the wolf, where some of it's animations have it stretching and bending in ways that look downright horrifying sometimes.
The main purpose of the game besides survival seems to be to take care of your pup, well this does not work at all. The poor thing can barely keep up to you and can be lost very easily since there's no way to track it. Your home cave can also be lost extremely easy as well because, guess what, no way to track it. Overall, don't waste ten dollars on this game, it's not worth it.
Barely any prey spawns. There's no map. The Hunting mechanic is PATHETIC. I see no rivers since a River for fishing was supposed to be included. The 2nd and last skin on the menus for creating a wolf are the exact same.
It needs more substance all around.

After reading a comment and noticing what they said, this game is ABANDONED. Proof you might ask? The last update was Jan 13th 2018 and this dev obviosly has no intention to finishing the game. I bought it on sale for $2.50 but am gonig to refund it because I think its not even worth that much. There is no objective other then just to run around and kill some people and feed your pup that doesn't even follow you. I would NOT buy this game, seriously. One day maybe a good wolf game will be made.

Developers released into early access, then disappeared, no communication or updates in 7 months. Steam won't even refund me when I only have 7 minutes played because I bought it too long ago.
Gameplay is lacking terribly, it got boring immediately for me, but I had hoped some updates would make it more interesting.
I expected some type of update by now from when I bought it in January, or at least some communication from the developers. It's unfortunate that steam won't refund me because I choose to support what I thought would be a cool and interesting game. It's stuff like this that taints the pool for other undie games because people are less likely to support games by fear of the devs just disappearing.
This has the potential to be an amazing game but they don't seem to be doing any work on it. It's been roughly 6 months since the map update and nothing else has been released, not even a bug fix. If this continues on then I really recommend you don't buy this game.
Has nice potential, but it's nothing like the videos show. There isn't even grass, trees are floating, AI are half-assed, no other wolves in the game, no real point of this so far. No story or introduction, it's just not enjoyable yet.
In this game I like the graphics and simple execution but I do not like the control of the wolf, when the wolf runs it turns once to the right once to the left and it is impossible to catch up with the animal or run freely, it would be useful more animals to hunt and more tasks to execution.
In the survival gaming category, you usually play a hunter or some poor stranded schmuck in the woods and try not to get viciously mauled to death by a wild wolf or bear or try not to get you ass handed to you by some deranged serial killer with parent issues. Wild Wolf is a nice change of pace. You play a wolf, you try to survive by catching deers and bunnies while also trying to avoid hunters who'll try hard scope you like the noobs they (the hunters are). You can also add an extra challenge to the game by taking care of your little pup and bring food to him or her (I can't tell gender nor do I want to assume the gender given today's fascist-like PC world). This game, as of writing this is in early access so there's still more content I assume to be on the way. Is it worth $9.99? Well let me put it this way, I didn't regret buying this but if I could go back in time, I'd wait for a sale (as well as undo a lot my shenanigans from earlier in my life but that's for another time!).
they should add a weight gain system to this so it will be more realistic
like if you eat prey oo often itll make your wolf fatter and slower.
For an early access game, it's not bad.
-The graphics are beautiful and I love the customization of the shape of the wolf.
-The animation itself is fluid and beautiful.
-The atmospheric noise is actually really nice!
However, this game has a few bugs or problems that I found annoyed me during the game. There was a surprising amount that I had found in my 35 minutes of playing, which normally isn't a good sign.
-The hunters seem to be too highly numbered compared to the wolves. There would realistically be fewer hunters but more wolves. Also, hunters may not be near by but the constant sound of nearby gunfire will ring off.
-I was attempting to eat a deer, but once I pressed 'E' I was magically transferred to the cave (a long ways away) and put into the sleep menu.
-Also, once you kill an animal, it may sometimes glitch into the side of the hill, making it impossible to eat it.
-There's nothing really to do except kill off hunters and animals, so I suggest some form of task/quest system.
-Finally, the controls are a little wonky. The turning is rather slow and the areas to press 'R' on dead animals is VERY picky, to where I had to walk back and forth over the animals while pressing 'R' just to get the marker. Also, the turning makes it hard to fight hunters as you want to move to prevent being hit, but it's hard to turn around and attack.
Ultimately, the game isn't bad. If the problems were fixed (which they most likely will be since this is early access) then the game would be more enjoyable. It's beautifully designed and has really good potential. I think the price may be a little high for something that's still in a big state of development, but I still recommend the game to people who want to experience it. Ideally, you should wait until the full release, but it's still an OK in my book.

Major pathing issues
My "flock" had issues following my commands. All one of them.
The hunger system is way to high.
The game looks nothing like the trailer at all.
This game was released way to early.
I would wait for future updates.
There are many problems I encountered with this game, but the purpose of the developers putting it in Early Access is to fix issues and to make improvements.
First here's what I like:
-Good graphics
-Great, fluent animation
-If this game persists, then I'm sure it will be a fantastic single-player experience to enjoy in your freetime.
Here's are the problems in it's current state (which can be fixed, of course):
-There is little to nothing to do, it seems like a sandbox
-When attacking certain animals, such as the rabbit, there is a very small hitbox, I would suggest testing and altering hitboxes for certain AI.
-Combinations of certain animations are buggy. When I pressed e to eat a fish after catching it, it permanantly changed my e command to the fish eating animation - instead of howling. This is fixed after making a new save.
-*** The AI seems to be the biggest issue. Especially the hunters' AI. When playing sometimes I heard a glitched gunshot sound from a hunter when there were no hunters nearby.
-Additionally, there are far too many hunters spawning in the map.
-The hunters should not have such distinct and one-way coding. For example, every hunter and even the same hunter has the same attack radius ( I noticed a hunter chasing a deer and everytime he would catch up to shoot the deer he would go back to running because the deer kept repeatedly going out of his range after catching up. So you should make the hunter have the chance to shoot at greater distances with a lesser chance of hitting the target). I think there should be a probability of the hunter shooting at certain ranges at certain time intervals.
-The AI don't seem to realize that there is an object between the two people. So they will continue to shoot even if there is a tree in the way. And if an object is blocking the AI's sight, they will still detect you.
Finally, for a game like this I would rather have you focus with environmental struggles other than the hunters. Encountering hunters should be much more rare and harsh experience.
