Personally, I think this game is very difficult for people who are not good at English and scholars who do not have any decoding foundation, playing this can improve English proficiency and computer and software, information security, etc., at the same time, if you have a foundation in information security and software, I feel that the first three levels, you will be very easy, and then you will need advanced mathematics and calculus and even mechanics and electricity, and even you may have to understand the codes of World War II Germany, at the same time I suggest Matthew Brown your company, You can add more items to Cypher or add some hybrid decoding, which might add a bit of fun and complexity, so hopefully adopt!
Crack open your notebook and enjoy thinking at a blank wall for a solid hour. Each cypher is worth sitting down to and the light history makes you feel like you are learning while screaming at your scream.
If you want to crack your head, get this game asap

A hard minimalist challenge, all you need is to learn to love it.
It's interesting for sure if you are into this, and very educative too.
A bit niche for me.
I tried to play this game back in 2018 but I just couldn't keep going because of how bright and white the entire game was. I get migraines easily and it feels like it's creeping out as soon as I start focusing on it. It's like a constant flashbang. I've thought about giving the game another go many times since but I change my mind about it every time I see the game banner and trailer. It sucks really, cause I really want to try the game out!
I'm sorry if there is a dark mode or any good way of solving this that I haven't found or noticed so far, but I honestly can barely make myself start the game!
More homework than game, this is a series of cryptography challenges.
The early ones are fun. As you progress, the flaws emerge. The game offers no interface for actually solving the challenges, so you're going to need to transcribe lengthy codes to paper or spreadsheet. This can be quite tedious but it does serve the purpose of teaching you the methods to decode different types of ciphers.
It is somewhat disheartening when you realize along the way that we have simple computer programs that can replicate all of your hard work in nanoseconds.
The later puzzles are, in my opinion, a bit much. If you're an absolute fanatic for solving some of the toughest abstract challenges out there, then by all means go ahead and enjoy this. I found many of the advanced puzzles and the puzzles that require outside research to be too complex to enjoy as a leisure activity.
The explanations of Enigma encoding and modern digital encoding are also woefully inadequate and require outside research to understand how to even begin.
I can only recommend this to absolute enthusiasts of cryptography.
If you love a challenge or if you want to learn the basics of cryptography, and move towards being OK. This is the game for you.

fantastic
太爽了
Highly recommended if you are struggling with paper/assignment/coding/..., now i feel they are way easier and straightforward
I loved it, I feel like this game was aimed at me with a laser. The design, the music choices, even the footsteps echoing through the halls, it had great atmosphere with a minimalist feel.
I enjoyed the need for pen and paper. The puzzles kept coming back to me throughout the week which was a nice surprise. I found myself pulling the notepad out on the train or on the couch at home, to finish them away from the computer, which was a rare and lovely thing. I've loved everything MB has put out but this might be my favourite :)
Matthew Brown is my favorite Indie game dev. I put hundreads of hours into his "-Cells" games.
This one started very well. The atmosphere, the refined look and the music playing in the background is relaxing. Sadly I cannot say the same thing about the game. The puzzles are lovely, the only part is that they are only in english. I can speak so no problem right? The puzzles are way too hard imo if you are not a native speaker. So I might try it later when I am even better in english :/
- Extremely hard to complete if you are not using any help from guides
- I'm glad I've heard of most of the ciphers from modded KTaNE
- Copying encrypted text to a notepad (or any software outside of the game) is just pure pain
This is a really good game. However, it's not so friendly to those who are not good at English. Although I've only played it for a short while, its overall simple art style, combined with such soothing music, makes people feel calm during the process of playing. It enables people to settle down and think about the questions in it. All in all, it's quite recommended.Of course, if you can understand what I said without the help of a translator, just pretend that my second sentence doesn't exist.
好玩的,就是偶尔解不出来会卡很久
Room 1 Puzzle 8 is unfair. We in fact DO NOT have all the needed information to solve the puzzles in room 1.

Great introduction to ciphers. Dev really did a good job with the music as well. Recommend!
The world in this game is truly a pure white world,
and my brain cells are waving the white flag.
Super educational, challenging and still relaxing at the same time? Love everything about it
cryptography textbook which looks like a game, obviously very difficult
I know you saw or will see walkthrough. 😏
