The concept is fun, the world moves as you do, the story leaven much to your own interpretation but it is as I said very short.

So dont expect a long game, but a good game it definitley is.

I’ve only played SUPERHOT for about an hour, but even that short time was enough for me to say this game is AMAZING. I picked it up on sale without expecting much, even though I had heard some good things. But honestly, it completely blew me away.

The game feels so fresh and unique. The graphics are super clean, and the fact that it came out in 2016 is mind-blowing. The maps kind of remind me of TABS, and the whole experience makes you feel like you’ve been dropped into another world. I was literally sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time, waiting for something wild to happen.

The “SUPER... HOT” voice is so cool and really sticks with you. The way time moves only when you move makes everything feel intense and tactical, like you’re actually dodging bullets in slow motion. The only thing that bugs me is how accurate the bots get when you’re not slowing time. It almost feels like they have aimbot.

Even with that, I’d still say to NOT get this game. I’ve heard it’s short and it gets WAY too repetitive. The lore is boring as hell and I have no free will. "They" keep telling me to leave.. so I did and I never played it again. It is a fun and unique play, but it costs way too much. $30.00 CAD for me.

Story is mysterious and was delivered well. Gameplay is cool and a bit challenging. Never a boring moment.

A first person shooter that is really a first person puzzle game.

You start off each level without any weapons and surrounded by enemies. But time only moves when you do. Therefore you need to string together a number of moves to melee people to get a weapon, to shoot this person over here whilst ducking the bullet from over there etc. until everyone has been taken down. At the end, the whole encounter is played back in realtime so you can bask in your John Wick glory.

Excellent puzzle game and short at less than 4 hours which is always appreciated.

Seriously one of the best and most revolutionary first person shooters i've ever played. I can NOT reccomened superhot enough, it's sooooo good. This isn't even the bit that everyone does It's just that good

Very fun FPS with a very fun and unique gimmick with the time slow. I also love how you get to see you go through the whole level in real speed at the end. Challenge Mode provides a lot more fun and variety.

A very fun and weird FPS, the game sucks you in but in a good way until you become a part of "The System".
Your body is disposable of course but your mind is free or trapped.
No cheaters, no microtransaction, no world just red dudes fro you to kill.

Neat I guess but way overpriced for a handful of neat levels and a plot the devs admitted was completely worthless.

It's a good game, however, the developers, especially the CEO, are egotistical assholes who will take your money then remove content you paid for years later, while still selling the games at full price with marketing material that still advertises the content they took away.

I highly recommend just pirating their games if you really want to play them. Do not encourage shitty behavior.

It's a surrealist and weird fps with a story that can only be told in the way the games tells its story. The gunplay manages to be brutal and full of risk which is what you'd want in a game like this but it manages it in a way other shooters really don't do. It'd be better if i didn't say too much however, it's the most innovative shooter i've played in years. Join us! :D 9/10

i've been watching content about this game since i was a kid, playing it felt really nice. it's pretty good

super fun shooter, never played a game like this before, the Hercules achievement really makes you work for it

Such a fantastic game. The premise is amazing, the levels are well made, the endless and challenge gamemodes are fun. Almost not complaints.

When telling people about this game it always goes Description then Title, else they think you got a bit to much free time

didn't know there was a story entering this game, and i kinda wish there wasn't. the gameplay overall is fun, but it isn't enjoyable enough for me to even attempt the new modes unlocked after finishing the story. if you're a sweaty gamer, you'd probably like it! i'm not though.

It's fun but it's way too short. I had a lot of fun but for the amount of actual levels it's not worth buying it full price. I got it on black friday but I woouldn't pay 25 dollars for it just not enough content

The original SUPER....HOT....that started it all. Awesome slow-mo FPS that is challenging yet fun to play.

This game simply oozes with charm. The main "time freezing" mechanic is so simple to learn yet so fun, and makes playing every level for the first time a difficult, memorable experience. The artstyle is simply iconic, it's simple, looks sick and there's nothing quite like it. The gameplay is fast and effective. Not once did I have a performance issue. The story is okay but memorable, though it didn't feel as though this was the type of game that needed a story, I enjoyed it.

Very short but rad. Not to be the kinda guy that assigns content length to monetary value but it's a bit pricy for what's actually here, especially when the sequel is the same price. Unless you really want to sink your teeth into Endless or challenges I'd wait for it to go on sale

That game reminds me of precision platformers but here, its precision shooter and Im not a fan of precision platformers, they are too sweaty to my liking.
While the gameplay is cool I quickly got frustrated with each reset I initiated. We got couple of stuff at our disposal, depending on the level, be it weapons or objects and later on an ability to switch bodies, so there are couple of ways we can clear the level.
Game quickly became a puzzle instead of a shooter. With each reset, I knew more possibilities of approaching threats but it wasn't for a better. Five tries here, switching approach, another two tries there, switch, different tactic, here I couldn't make it, there I was not quick enough. That's not for me to have an multiverse gameplay in my world, maybe its my brain that Im capable of seeing all the possibilities and none at the same time so Im stuck 5 times in one confrontation before I switch to different threat or progress further. I feel like that gameplay was melting my brain and on top of that, the lore, the progression of said simulation became irritating. So, in the end, I got a decent mix of frustrating triggers. Im only glad I got it while it was -70% so Im not so bitter about it. I would recommend this but game too quickly fried my brain splitting it into multiversuperhot super hot super hot super hot super hot

This game truly offers what most other FPS games don't, a unique concept. Would recommend it to anyone.

Fun, unique, and challenging if you want to push yourself. The main story can be beaten very quickly, but there's lots of additional activities you can do to become a true bullet dodging master!

nothing about this game is that hot, and i know that seems petty but why the fuck is it called that, im keopt up at night thinking of this, fucking stupid game anyway, this would never happen in real life yk, let me tell you about real life, your parents will be dissapointed and you will never feel connected to your father, and to top it off the love of your live will leave for a guy who IS superhot and will stomp on your balls. SUPERHOT is a pretty odd game with a cool concept,Time slows down with your movement.
This allows you to avoid bullets and execute combos in style.
The story of SUPERHOT is something alright.
The game rewards you with some infinite,challenges game modes after the campaign.
Overall it's a simple game that chose a concept and went with it.

A very unique game. Sort of a mix of Matrix and Max Payne with its own interesting features.
Might be a bit tough to beat at times, but who doesn't like a good challenge?

I feel like this is more like chess, than a typical shooter.
Time slows down dramatically when you don't move (Bullet flies slowly)
You essentially plan your next move between executions.

Core game campaign is about 90 minutes.
But it does have Endless and Challenge mode once you finish the main "campaign".

All that aside, game does a little quip and breaks forth wall, which is kinda funny I guess.

Overall pretty good game! The main campaign is short but very fun with a mechanic that never wore out for me. The story never really hit for me, but I understand what they were trying to do. 100% can be tedious, especially because all challenges include the same 25 levels, but that would not stop me from recommending this game. I got it on sale which I think is the way to go.

It's great until it isn't.

The game is innovative, until its only gimmick wears quite thin and you're left with a game that MASSIVELY overstays its welcome. The lack of variety really shows in the way this game tries to extend its incredibly short runtime by giving you the same missions over and over again with slight changes. Despite what the game will try and tell you, it is not unique or a "Challenge" to give you the same level as before, but this time you can only use melee, or you can only shoot one bullet; it is just boring.

However, despite all of this, I still would recommend this game to almost anyone. For anyone not familiar with the game, and who hasn't already played it 7 times on other consoles, it really makes you FEEL like John Wick or Neo from the Matrix. Get it on a sale though, as 25 dollars is quite a steep ask.

Most of my problems are solved in its direct sequel, Mind Control Delete. That game is able to rehash the same levels over and over while still giving enough uniqueness to each run-through.

Its an amazing game with a very innovative mechanic. The hitbox for your own player can be tricky at first to calculate, but after a while it comes naturally. It is short, but its fun which is what matters right? Quality is not about quantity :)

ever since i played the prototype version of this game back in the days, this game became a HUGE part of my childhood. and after i bought this when it was on sale after wanting to play this version of SUPERHOT ever since its release and waiting for so long (+also seeing my skills in the game are on the same level as in the prototype but hopefully i'll improve),this is probably one the of the best fucking games i've ever played in 2025. best almost 7 euroes of my life man.

So the removed suicidal content from the game but still have you kill your self in this version of it. hmm
btw half the game is waiting for them to be dramatic and controlling, so you gotta have patience.

Absolute random on if you will get lucky with enemies and their weapons, your bullet paths are random at most, and you can only pray for last enemy not to decide to shoot in you instead of 40 other places he aimed at in past second. There are better fucking random number generators, and they wont affect your nerves.

it was okay. I'm not good at action games so it's why I tend to stick to games that are either turn-based, RTS, or exploration-based. The main reason I bought it was it was advertised as a kind of "John Wick simulator" and the advertisement literally states time doesn't move when you don't. I was like "Nice! I get to take my time and strategise" but it's not the case. The game still moves, just really slow and looking around to plan your next move can cost you the round. If there was an option for total stand-still then I'd feel motivated to do all the endless stuff, but just finishing the main missions and finding their secrets is enough. There are also a lot of moments when it's just luck. Whether it's every single bullet of the shotgun's scattershot missing you or even the weapons that enemies spawn with, there are times when you just get lucky and skill isn't entirely what gets you through. Again, I'd prefer an option for total pause when not moving or even looking around, and if the elitists want to roast me for not "getting gud" or "skill issue", if the option WAS available, no one would be forcing you to use it

So. This is a great game. If someone just asked me yes or no, do you recommend this or not, as Steam does, I'd say yes. It's such a clever, fun idea for a shooter. The game only moves when you do, so you can look around and plan your move as people with shot guns and bats charge at you. I love the actual gameplay.

Where it falls a little short is the story. Honestly, it's pretty interesting, but it's nothing special, and it just gets in the way of the gameplay. The developers created just about the ultimate arcade game that would get you constantly feeding quarters into the machine, but then they interrupt it with forced boring story sections where you're just clicking or hitting ESC until you can get back into the part of the game where you're actually playing.

Anyway, it's a great concept. And the story behind it is decent too. But with this game, I just want to play level after level until I get bored, but they decide to interrupt your gameplay with "story" elements (random text that you just have to click through). I'd honestly enjoy the story if it were incorporated into the game at all, but it's completely separate, where you play a level then have to sit through boring text exposition.

So in the end, it's a great, well-executed concept ... except they tacked a story onto it. I'd say just buy Superhot 2 instead, since it has a better challenge/endless mode.

Also: Never press Escape while playing this. It immediately pulls you out to the main menu, erasing any progress on the level you're playing. I could understand not having a pause if the game was literally frozen when you're not moving, but instead it moves in super slow motion (so if you need to step away, too bad. Time keeps moving, and you can't pause. The levels are short, but they should still have a pause. But if halfway through a level something happens and you have to focus on something else, well, you're fucked. You've gotta restart the level.

Really short but incredibly fun game with such a unique time manipulation mechanic that I have to leave this as positive.

The closest you can get to feeling like Neo in The Matrix

If you look through SUPERHOT's reviews you'll see countless people calling it: "The most innovative shooter ever" and this couldn't be more true, this game is the GOAT of all shooters.
It puts any shooter you can think of to shame, and if your the lore type, the person who wants a creepy underlying story to their game... I've got news for you, this game has so many secrets! I've collected all of the secret collectibles them and gotten 84% of the achievements. And I plan on unlocking the rest, the rest of the ones I haven't unlock yet are just time sensitive. Like killing X amount of guys in endless mode etc. Anyway, as much as people praise this game...
I must be honest and say that the game play gets stale sometimes, it can be really repetitive.
Especially with the challenges mode. Which throws you through all of the levels you've beaten before but usually with a twist. I've beaten all of the HARD through IMPOSSIBLE challenges and let me tell you. Their more frustrating than fun.
But other than that, a masterpeice must play of a shooter.
