ストーリー
幻想郷の異常気象は決して地球温暖化が原因では無いようとして正体の判らない異変。
全ての季節に現れた不気味な機構。
隠されていたのは天使か悪魔か、それとも……
ゲームの進め方
敵弾に当たらないように避けて、敵を撃破するゲームです。
各ステージの最後にはボスが居ますので、それをやっつけるとステージクリアです。
テクニックと精神力をかけた、ボスと自分とのタイマン勝負です。
操作説明
・上下左右 自機の操作
・SHOTキー（Zキー） ショット
・SPECIALキー（Xキー） スペルカード（回数制限有り）
・RELEASEキー（Cキー） 季節開放
・SLOWキー（Shiftキー） 低速移動
・PAUSEキー（ESCキー） ポーズ
二つの季節装備
今回のプレイヤーは二つの季節を装備して戦います。
メイン季節はキャラ固定です。
博麗 霊夢 ── 春
チルノ ── 夏
射命丸 文 ── 秋
霧雨 魔理沙 ── 冬
季節に因んだショットとスペルカードを使います。
パワーアップアイテムで強化できます。
また、メイン季節とは別にサブ季節を装備できます。
キャラクターの後ろ側にミニオプションとして配置され、季節に因んだショットを撃ちます。
季節アイテムで強化され、一つ以上溜まっていると季節開放することが出来ます。
サブ季節
サブ季節はメイン季節を補佐する装備です。
季節アイテムを取得すると増えていき、最大６個までつきます。
季節アイテムは
「敵を早く倒す」
「敵弾にかする」
「スペルカードや季節開放で敵弾を消す」
と出現する季節オブジェ（桜、葉、紅葉、雪）です。
とにかく大量に出現します。
季節開放は一個以上装備している状態でリリースボタンを押すと行えます。

それぞれの季節ごとに特徴が違いますが、敵弾を消す事が出来るのでスペルカードの代わりになります。

Solid shmup if a bit too easy compared to every other entry in the series.
I'm not quite sure what happened here, after LoLK which was probably the hardest and most unbalanced entry in the series we have this game which is possibly the easiest and also with some of the most balanced shottypes. Pretty much every single combination of character + season is viable and interesting to play, some are better at easier difficulties and some are better for harder ones but overall still very pleasant to play as.
The gimmick of season release is probably the reason why this game is possibly the easiest Touhou game out there - it serves as additional DPS when charged and as a free bomb when released which greatly increases the amount of resources you have and makes the game much easier to bruteforce. Proper combination of character + season makes even lunatic relatively doable even for someone as low-skilled as me.
Game being relatively easy doesn't make it bad however, it's definitely not as bland as TD and it's just easy compared to other games in the series, on it's own it's still challenging and you have to pay attention to what are you doing.
Music in this one is... weird. It's definitely good, but after playing it for a bunch of hours I still can barely recall any track, it's definitely not as memorable as previous entries. Something changed here and I cannot put my finger on what exactly but the tracks just don't stay in your memory for that long.
Story and characters are both interesting, yeah it's yet another "weather is weird - must be an incident" plot that these games love to reuse and I'm not the biggest fan of Okina but it was still entertaining seeing all the story bits and interactions between the characters.
Overall: solid entry, bit easy, worth playing but nothing too special other than relatively easy Luantic and probably the easiest Extra stage in the entire series to grab if anyone wants to for bragging rights.

This is by far my favourite touhou game. Not just the for the story, music, or visuals, but just how fun the gameplay is. The latest touhou games all seem to have lost the meaning of what popcorn is, but even if this one does not have popcorn, the stages are frantic and chaotic, but still possible to route. The bosses ? Some of the best in the series, I'd say. All of them explore very diffrent concept, culminating in the most interesting extra boss in the series.
But I think what takes the top for me is the scoring mechanic. If you've been playing without touching the C key, please try to use the seasonal releases at least once. The scoring system is simple, but the different subseasons you can choose give you a great versatility in how you can approach the many different situations. Will you go for the broad screen coverage of sub-spring ? The strategic immobility of sub-winter ? The whimsy of sub-summer ? Or maybe the frantic speed of sub-fall ? The choice is yours to take.

One of my favourite touhou games. Mai and Satono are the best stage 5 bosses, change my mind.
this game is really easy once you know how to abuse your releases (and your bombs too, you get a lot of them in this game). really beginner friendly i would say
okina finals kinda suck for a capture, even though winter, summer and spring are really fun to practice
Cant beat this shit on Normal
Overall it's a quite manageable game in terms of difficulty thanks to the season mechanics, but funnily enough there are some stages that are harder than the actual boss itself (stages 4 and 5 precisely). The incident is really interesting and both the characters and soundtrack are pretty memorable.
