You play as Clint Edwards, an investigative reporter in a major metropolitan area. You wake up from a nap to sounds coming from your computer. Someone has sent you a link to a stream that is causing alarm to its viewers. Upon viewing the stream, you see a woman named Amalea who’s scared for her life. Amalea says something about the shadow web, and that there are men in masks hunting her down. When trying to explain her location, the stream abruptly ends. This peaks Clint’s interest, and he must dig deeper to find her before it’s too late. But little does Clint know that the deep web is not a place to poke around. You never know who else is around to poke back.
Welcome to the Game II puts you the task of saving Amalea, and how to get there. You are tasked to seek out 8 hidden hashes to decrypt the shadow web browser. You do this by using a simulated computer operating system on a computer. This simulated operating system will come with tools to help you on your way, such as a web browser (A.N.N), Note taking software, software package purchase options(zeroDAY), and more!
The hidden hashes are spread out through the deep web, on web pages. You find the hashes by carefully examining the page by either clicking around, viewing the page source, or maybe poking around a hidden file somewhere.
While you are on your search for the hidden hashes, you must hack your way into neighbors Wi-Fi’s to be avoid being tracked by the police! Fend off hackers (mini games) from stealing your data, DOSCoin (in game currency), notes. Order products to help you on your mission such as Wi-Fi boosters to get better range, motion sensors. Make DOSCoin(in game currency) by doing certain tasks such as defeating hacks and items to generate you DOS Coin!
This all takes place in your city apartment building, where you must explore around to move around the Wi-Fi dongle, set up motion detectors, go to the drop off location and more! While all doing so by being hunted by the mysterious unknows of the deep web (bad guys).

Great Game
I love this game but oh god please don't play it unless you like torturing yourself
Don't buy this game if
-you don't have a history of playing stressful horror games
*the situation your placed in is disturbing at the least but if you don't fully immerse yourself you will miss details which leads to my next point
-you don't have a history of playing very strict rule based games
*this game requires a lot knowlegde about it ie. rules will micromange every decision you make, and if you slip up your dead and have to reset from the start, typical games last hours and you can get killed EASILY right up till you hear the end music.
- you don't have a history of watching people play these games
* I have watched HUNDREDS of hours of other people playing this game, and it feels as if I don't know shit (which is specifically what the irl creator of this game want you to feel, again into my next point)
I love rule based games, horror not so much so I will say this game might not be for me... but unlike a super hard puzzle, this game doesn't seem to care to reward you with fasicination about how the game works it'll leave you frustarted as you can never effectively be safe no matter how hard you try.... the only way you can outpace the killers in this game is to play it to death which sounds like a cool line until you realize you have to die a hundred of times in couple hour long games
Maybe I'm to harsh on this non-rewardness part of the game but the creator of this game doesn't want it to be and makes his point clear. It's fine to have a insanely hard game, there have been games with this diffculty before but in other games they celebrate that you make it to the end by having good symbolism or even say well done.... this game does not. to spoil it a little it doesn't reward you, I won't spoil it all but if you don't know what the end looks like before you play this game you will never see it.... I believe that's a downright bad thing. Along with the public the creator even said that he didn't like the ending, yet never changed it.
scary af and cool mechanics
Epic
i hate the dark
just play it
There're almost no deep/dark web games for some reason so this one definitely gives you unique horror experience and it's clearly inspired by the real dark web with its absolutely screwed up websites. The main objective of the game seems really interesting and the process is very addictive even though it can be pretty exhausting at some points 'cause of permadeath and some bad designed elements. However, this game is a rage game, it's obviously not for everyone, and beating it is questionable 'cause I swear this is the hardest game I have ever played. It requires perfect hearing, reaction, memory, attention, accuracy, focus, and also deep knowledge of the game, multitasking, time optimization, strategy, patience, exploring, analysis. I have never seen such a hostile and unforgiving game to a player, you can die even if you simply blink at wrong moment then you have to start from scratch all over again. This game is also extremely complicated and full of surprises, it tells you almost nothing, that's why reading a wiki after a whole bunch of fails is inevitable 'cause sometimes you simply can't figure out what you're doing wrong and your patience is over. I started this game for a hardcore challenge reason so I'm okay with part of issues, and I cannot but note 1337 mode which is absolutely ridiculous and awful no matter how you look at it 'cause it's inhuman, tedious, bugged, almost unbeatable, you have to be an exceptional and disciplined gamer to complete it. As a good thing, this game is full of mechanics so once you beat normal mode you can play it again and enjoy chilling and trying some new things during the run. In summary, I have very mixed feelings about this game and recommend playing only normal mode if you want some next level challenge and horror experience. I cannot give the game a neutral rating but I both like and hate it.
This game is a really good concept but the execution is atrocious. Some of the most frustratingly broken and poorly designed gameplay I've ever seen. I didn't know slop like this was even possible.
die adam

I hate this game so much, everything about it is literally designed to waste your time. I beat normal mode just fine, but my lord 1337 is pure BS. You figured everything out through trial and error, reading multiple OFFICIAL WTTG2 guides and actual in-game rules? Well fuck you player, I'm Adam and I don't want you to have fun.
I swear I had one run where I got 6 fucking keys in that mode, then right when I was about to win the game, the cops fucking kick down my door and ruin everything. I literally wrote down the wifi times, did math even according to the actual wiki of 30% everytime you disconnect and reconnect within the 10 minute cooldown timeframe, and STILL they kicked down my door.
That's not the only shit, there were runs where I got insanely close and the NOIR just appears out of thin air right infront of me and kill me. It's as if this game doesn't want you to beat the 1337 mode and instead wants you to suffer. Some may say, "Well, just wait for the 10 minute cooldown to end". Yeah, then I'd have to waste valuable time where I could be finding codes to instead just sit there like a dumbass. And literally anytime my PC randomly powers off in-game or due to a power outage, I'd have to wait 10 minutes too right? It's just stupid game design.
My main gripe is how BS the police is, EVERY other killer is easy as fucking pie to get through, but the police just seem to just always kick down your door no matter what you do. Changed the wifi too early? Police magically know that and will kick down your door. Changed wifi right near the end of the police tracker even knowing the actual NUMBER of when they track you, well fuck you player, police will kick down your door.
It got to a point where I just literally deleted the game from my steam library and just will never play another one of Adam's games EVER again. There's so much buggy shit in this game where I wouldn't be surprised if the cops are just bugged rn and will kick down your door whenever they feel like it.
Seriously, there is NO way the cops would just magically know where your location is if you switched wifi early. It legit makes me believe Adam did that on purpose just to piss off players, because it makes no sense at all. Like imagine if I switched every 8 minutes in-game? There'd be no way for the cops to know that, but since Adam thinking that'd be too simple, decides to have the cops MAGICALLY know if you switch too early. Like ???????
Ngl, it makes me lose complete respect for Adam as a developer when he does shit like this. I mean, congratulations Adam, you made your game so BS that you lost thousands of potential customers. Literally, what type of person wants to waste their time playing this shit over and over until they win once? It's not fun, and I assure you after they beat it even ONCE they're never coming back.
This is literally one of the few games where I was proud I got rid of it forever, because my god was this game that bad. I've played difficult games before and love many of them, but this game literally gives you no chances. Even if you master it, it'll pull the stupid police trump card.
Honestly, if you love this game, please fucking understand that I don't. Just because you like to get tortured doesn't mean I like to, because honestly idk why people like this game. It's literally one of those games where if you did beat it on the hardest difficulty once, you'd NEVER play it again, including all of the other spin offs.
That to me is a bad game, not a good one.
Clickbait title "WARNING: DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME" has never been more accurate
too buggy, got locked up in an elevator for walking a round in the hallway and lost all my progress.
Sucker for "Adam"
This game can be pretty entertaining having to understand how to deal with various enemies, however there is a good amount of micro-management. Another somewhat negative aspect is the hacking, it can be pretty tedious considering it can come up frequently.
I went into Welcome to the Game 2 thinking I was prepared. I watch horror movies, I’ve read a few creepypastas, and I can handle the occasional jump scare. Oh, how wrong I was.
This game is like being stuck in a haunted internet cafe in the year 2065, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. The atmosphere is thick with dread, the kind you can almost taste (it’s not a pleasant flavor, more like “what if the internet ate you”). The hacking minigames? 10/10 for frustration. You’ll feel like a tech genius one second, and a confused potato the next. You know you’re doing something important, but all you can think is, "Please, I don’t want to get kidnapped by creepy faceless people.
"Speaking of creepy faceless people, let’s talk about the AI who watches your every move like an overprotective, passive-aggressive parent. The thrill of trying not to be caught while surfing through the darkest corners of the internet is oddly exhilarating. Nothing says “fun” like trying to crack codes while an ominous figure lurks in the shadows, waiting for you to make a single mistake. That’s what I call true gaming.
summary of this title is:
- you will need to navigate through websites with disgusting themes and imagery in order to win
- the game does not want you to win
- try as you will, but you most likely won't figure out how to get a grip on this game without some external help
- you will be fuckin scared
The concepts are really cool and it's essentially a micromanaging hell for 2-3 hours if you want to win. But you better be stubborn as fuck if you want to try and beat this game and you most likely won't be able to stream it to anyone who has a common level of tolerance for sick shit.
good game
tricky, but addicting. my perfectionism loves a real challenge
amazing
8/10
Spent 90 minutes looking for hashes, found nothing, got raided and hacked multiple times. Boring.
game is genuinely designed to waste your time
I was on a 2 hour long run hiding from the alley killer and suddenly got teleported into an elevator with a guy standing outside clapping with NO way to get out so my save got bricked. apparently it's supposed to be an anti-speedrunning mechanic and somehow I tripped it.
garbage
Scawy
FUN HORROR EXPERIENCE
This game would make a good gift to someone you absolutely despise. If for some reason, you happen to have someone in your friends list that you actively dislike, send this abomination of a game their way.
I'm not sure how this game is so highly reviewed. Why would I want to play a game about sitting in front of a computer while I'm sitting in front of a computer? The bulk of this game is like reading the instruction manual and the acting is so poor I kept closing the "videos" from boredom. Add to that the b.s. of the devs hacking people's games while they're streaming and I couldn't uninstall this fast enough.
You know i be 100% locking everything
hate it but love it
this game rocks so hard. its very difficult tho lol and the endings r p bad, but its defo worth getting bec its a monumental horror experience that is almost one of a kind in a way. mega cool, and balls scary.
very nice apartment building. its such a shame that the power turns off every 30 minutes. its almost like someone is turning off the power? it must just be my imagination.
I had a amazing experience plus a shaking orgasm to where i could hardly move or breathe
I hate this game. I figured they’d at least give you a tutorial of how to actually look for the keys. But no, you have to randomly click around before you get jumped by the police or the mask guy.
I spent almost 4 hours and I still haven’t progressed towards the goal.
Don’t play this game.
Very tedious.
extremely unique roguelike game. gives me FNAF vibes for some reason. the only critique i have is picking up the free money generator every single time you start a run. otherwise pretty creepy and interesting!
Awesome game IF you wanna get irrationally angry and continue to doubt your ability to play not knowing that the game is supposed to be bullshit. 10/10 wouldn't reccomend
For the money, perhaps the best horror game I've ever played I literally love this game, but it has its downsides the game has quite a lot of bugs for example in-game copying, self-walking, breather sound clue is not heard + peeking out of the window in the hideout in the alley (this bug is made on purpose because of speedrunners on mod 1337) breaking hacks sometimes get buggy but it is a small percentage when it can happen + Lucas can get stuck behind the door and automatically kill you when you go to get the package. But I have to praise the workmanship of this game when you explore the dark web you always feel like someone is watching you step by step the best horror atmosphere In short, a very good horror game and I hope that Adam releases WTTG 3 in the future. :)
#1 disturbing as FUCK... Alot of and gore and nudity (not real) i would recommend this game but i would turn off the nudity if i were you
Got jumped in an alley way trying to get my package 10/10 game
Lets me indulge in my usual browsing habits from the comfort of a cosy open-plan apartment. Plus, the neighbours are always eager to drop by and check on how I’m settling in!
no
gotta say, this game is past the point of being hard. it is downright unfair sometimes. but then, that was what i wanted out of the game, so it succeeded at that brilliantly. in my mind these games are the soulsborne of hacker roguelikes, and as somebody who considers himself a casual gamer at best, i sought out wttg2 specifically because i knew i would have to get good or die. i went from panicking, my hands literally shaking over every little thing when i first started, to playing with at least some level of confidence and poise. i still jump at some of the jumpscares and my heart still pounds when i make mistakes but now i can at least react to them with solutions instead of just freaking out. thanks for this awesome game full of terrible things, adam. you glorious madman
Arrogant game, made by a person with a fetish to make a "rigged" experience. The game is also plagued with annoying bugs that further hinder the experience, like the player getting randomly killed for no reason (confirmed), hack minigames with not nearly enough minimum time even if you make zero mistakes and copy-pasting no longer working after a certain point. It plays out in an unfair way and is very heavily based on RNG. 2 runs in a row and wiki link 2 spawned on DollMaker, it's ridiculous. You CAN win, but you just need to get very lucky on multiple fronts, that's pretty much it. So essentially it's a dice roll every time until you get lucky.
i reccommwedn made my nuts hurt
Got trapped in an elevator, good game
