Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy - это карательная игра в скалолазание, дань уважения классическому «Sexy Hiking» 2002 года в стиле Jazzuo.

Absolutely amazing game, 10/10. Been trying on and off for years to beat it, finally did today.
"There's no feeling more intense than starting over."
I was relatively calm the whole time playing except for the anvil jump but I call that a victory
Very simple controls. Only uses the mouse, alt and F4.
i beat the game for the first time took me a min but i did it and gotta say it was worth it 10/10 i don't like Bennett foddy though lol
Frustration tolerance simulator that's very worth your time. The trick is that it becomes impossible to win while tilted, so you gotta try to self-regulate.
A fun game with a very strange concept, its one of those games thats fun while you get up, but very frustrating when you go down.
i f*cking hate and love this game. i will fall all the way down, rage quit (maybe break something) and then play again the next day. i know the developers made the mouse curser slightly off from the hammer but seriously, change it im begging.
Made me question every decision ive ever made up until this moment
10/10 would question my reality again
I play this game once a year for about 5 mins to keep myself humble. Every year I make what i think is progress but in the end it doesn't matter because i fall right back to where i started. 8.5/10
I hate this game. I don't think any other character can be as annoying, frustrating and irritating as this little fella in a pot. He will do anything, but, go where i want to go. For example, I'm on an orange cliff people call "orange hell". As I'm climbing up, instead of going upwards and to where i need to go, like i inputted. He goes up and then back down. I catch myself and then i'm launched 700 light years away from where i was, back to the start of the game. If i had the option to publicly execute this pot hammer boy i would.
it took me about 8 years to complete this. I got this game on my phone in highschool, then it broke and I lost my progress. I got it again on my phone and then forgot/got bored. I got it a third time on steam and just recently completed it. I feel better. finally I get some closure, I just wish that I didn't have to complete the game each time to see the reward at the top. I don't want to have to complete the game each time (redacted for spoilers) but I will. I know how to beat it now and I feel it will be easy now
I feel like I can go out and accomplish all my dreams
Nope, I thought I could take it, I thought I could get over it.
I cant take it, I cant get over it.
Nice game, I have played this masterpiece in the past and now i play it again today. Third time beating this game.
Surely recommend this game to everyone.
An insightful philosophical experience. This game really was just. Brilliant. Bennett Foddy has a doctoral degree in philosophy and you can really tell. If anyone has ever earned the right to wax poetic while subtly prodding at you and making fun of you, it's Bennett Foddy. Also he has a good poetic voice when rhyming. Thank you for your time, and your game, Mr. Foddy, I can't wait to play Baby Steps when it releases.
I found this game to be particularly interesting for its message. This game has a lot of heart, and I hope more people get to see it.
This kind of game almost requires you to go into it with the mindset that you'll fail an unbearable amount of times. Knowing that makes every setback feel a little less bad. It's all about trial and error and not getting frantic when you start slipping when you're in a sketchy spot. Expect to lose your progress a number of times and accept the fact that initially you'll be terrible at this game. You get used to the controls over time, and not to long after that you start to get a good understanding of the how the game works; what to do and what not to.
With some patience and a little humility, as well as a bit of quick-thinking for when you're unlucky, and juuuuust a pinch of masochism you'll reach the top.
Personally I think this game is pretty charming. The narrator speaking to you as you progress as well as putting a spotlight on your setbacks while also providing quotes from others to help cheer you up combined with the piano motivated me to keep going. Taking offense is fair, but to me it felt more as if my failures weren't grand. They would happen again, but they'd also pass. I'd try again, probably fail again, but eventually I'd get past it. And at the end of it all it was satisfying to reach to peak.
"Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy" is infamously one of the hardest rage games ever. But it's really not as bad as you think. Your first time playing it is trial and error, it's usually very frustrating and it'll definitely infuriate you. the next few times won't be much easier. But if you give it enough time, you'll learn how to get through it decently fast. I personally am not the most skilled gamer, but I've become good enough to get through this game in about 15 minutes or less. And I completely understand how every other player of Getting Over It feels, considering this game has angered me so much I broke several wireless computer mouses during my first couple of play throughs. Learning the confusing controls and physics of this game is like a baby bird being thrown out of it's nest to attempt to fly. At first, the bird has no clue what they're doing. But eventually they figure it out and become good at flying, that's what Getting Over It feels like
This game is.. quite an experience to say the least. I'd say it's worth giving it a try, just try not to loose your sanity through it though.
Great game with great meaning behind it. not just getting to the top, but learning how to climb. i was constantly waiting for bennet to talk because every time he says something interesting
to everyone that says bad control/too difficult, that's the point of the game. git gud
Great game I use it to chill a bit the first run took like 6hrs. Wouldn't recommend playing it that long straight. As obviously it a frustating game.
It took me 25 hours of playing this game to finally reach the ending. I finally did it.
I then procceeded to finish it again 30 minutes later.
it's alright, I guess. A little pricey. Game isn't really anything revolutionary. It set out to be a clunky game with shitty controls and succeeds. If you're into that then this is for you but honestly I'd say the majority of people probably won't enjoy this game. Narrator's dialogue isn't really anything to write home about either, so don't expect to be thinking about it much after closing the game.
this fucking bullshit game, i have spent so many hours and days finishing this shit totally money worth.
As it turns out the best way to get everyone who plays your game to collectively agree to not spoil the ending is to lock it behind a user agreement page
This game is beautiful. Difficult in a way that showcases the beauty of it's purpose and perfectly displays the philosophical ideas and messages of the creator and narrator: Bennett Foddy. I cannot recommend this game enough to anyone with the patience to sit there for hours, trying and failing over and over again, only to get over it. If you lack the patience to sit there and fail and have the potential to put a hole through your monitor, please do not play this game if you value your personal possessions.
The end of a long and tedious journey. A feat so stupid and monotonous, the definition of insanity. The catharsis of completing this conquest is something that cannot be put into words. Climb the mountain, you will not regret it in the end, no matter how helpless you will feel on the journey.
this game is like a good shit that you can keep replaying over and over. It hurts at first and in the middle but near the end sweet release
This game fills my heart with a hatred unbeknownst to mankind, however, Bennett Foddys beautiful voice quells any anger I have and helps me relax.
fantastic easy game, good beginners guide to games if your new to them. Highly recommend.
I have played this game a lot. 50 hikes over the mountain. The first hike was tragic. the first part was fine, the lakeside, the construction, chimney, none of that was actually that hard, quite fun, actually. but for some reason, I decided to force myself to do playground skip. playground is fine, it isn't THAT hard, so why would I do that? I don't know. anyways, I got it down, and orange hell was inevitably beaten. I got past that, and had to do that bit before anvil. fuck that bit. even now, take me, like, 20 tries to get past. anyways, I got past it, but not for the last time. I did anvil, and kept failing, and eventually fell back. I got past anvil, and did snowballs, and was sent right back to that part before anvil. after hours, I got past, and got to bucket, I got past bucket, and got up the ice climb, then beat the game. 11 hours, it took 11 hours to beat it the first time. I have done this 50 more times.
TL;DR
Fuck you bennett. Thank you bennett.
The game is good, but the nerves are trembling very much
so them fleas to bite with a side of fiberglass to impale who ever does the thing & also put in a some what of NEVER ENDING TORTURE ALONG WITH some of that weird ugly yellow stuff that's behind shower walls to make them suffer from eyes while feeling the shot & also add zombie skin to make them have a mental break down as well to add frostbite to your body & while your at it we will throw the Tsar Bomba to y'all to really make it a pain & that is just like when i play this game. 69/120 this crap is totally not something to suffer from.
many have likend this game to the punishment of sisyphus forced to push a boulder up a hill only to inevitably fall and resume the endless task however it is more akin to the punishment of tantaluas that is showing you what you may have and the taking it from you over and over anover much how tantalus reaches for the low hanging fruits and they retract i reach for the summit yet it is far in fact i would say that the great zenos theory of infinte divisibilty is accuarte to this accursed soft ware no matter how close you get it is always the same distance away

Great Game
Simple to pick up but hard to master. took me 4 hours to beat first time but i throughly enjoyed the time.
This is a game about endurance and willing to better yourself through learning by your mistakes, and yes, you will fall many times, but failling is fun. To those who disagree just get over it.
8.9/10
This game almost drove me past sanity just trying to beat it as i had to beat it twice because on my first play through I accidental got the bad ending and had to beat the entire game just to get back, yet now I have the urge to beat it a second time just for that sweet badge, wish me luck everyone (:
The only way to Get Over It is to uninstall and never play again.
"An orange is sweet juicy fruit. Locked inside a bitter peel. That's not how I feel about a challenge. I only want the bitterness. Its coffee, its grapefruit, its licorice" (Foddy). This quote right here is how I feel about this game. For this game is tough, painful, and hard. I love every bitter stinging bite of it.
The best part about this game is that, in the hardest parts when you are most annoyed and need concentration, the narrator would just starts talking , just to be sure you would get even more frustrated and fail ....10/10 hahahaha
bennet foddy kept trying to get me to try his nasty ass soup when i played this. i dont want your damn cold as ass soup ben. this game is not for those with soup allergies.
I absolutely loved this game. The sheer frustration you feel for failing that one part of the game over and over and over until you just want to punch your laptop is what I love about it. I wish my muscle memory would forget so I can experience this frustration once again.
Its not a bad game by any means nor is it a good game. Its just very annoying
This game is made to be terrible to play. I am going to talking for years about how everyone can play it and come away with a different complaint.
My main one is the inability to mute the climber's voice. But I think I was one of the few people that wasn't really annoyed by Bennett's musings through the climb
a true piece of art. an interesting vehicle to investigate our self consuming culture of today, the message of the game is ever poignant in present time. fun too.
Amazing game and such an iconic classic—definitely a must-play.
This game truly questions your ability to be zen. I am better for having climbed the mountain, though it is not for the faint of heart.
never finished the game cuz i suck at the game more than ur mother during prom night but still fun to make myself waste hours to lose it all in a second <3
I honestly think that the game got the "bad rage game" title due to youtubers playing it acting up their anger and screaming into the camera every time they lost even a tiny bit of progress. The game is alright if you plan to play it once but it gets better if you plan to get at least the 50 win achievement because you can see yourself getting better with each win. My first win took me 5 hours, the next one a quarter of that and by my tenth win I could get a 15 minute run with no problem. Not to mention the fact that Foddy provides a genuinely interesting commentary. Great game if you want to pass time or test yourself!
I cannot express the love and hate I feel for this game with just words...
A sledgehammer will probably do tho
I love this game. It takes time to get used to the mechanics but they are great, responsive, and smooth. Worth the patience to get to the top!
A gentle reminder that there is glory, not only in victory, but in the struggle itself.
