Crappy move delisting this Sega https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJbFhFZaUbs
I love this game from my childhood, it still lives up to the fun I had back then. Going back to get all there is that this game offers is something I will always appreciate.
Fuck you Sega for delisting your games.
best fucking game ever mate
reckless endangerment yippee
Arguably the greatest arcade racing game of all time.
While this port is rough, it can be fixed with SilentPatch to re-add the original locations, being specified to run on Vulkan to fix the framerate, and re-adding the original soundtrack.
And when fixed, it becomes very clear why this game was such a quarter-eater back in '99.
Since SEGA in their infinite wisdom have decided to delist this game next month, this might be your last chance to make some crrrrrazy money!

The fact this game is delisting on December 24th is criminal...it is honestly one of the funnest arcade games ever. I first experienced this game through the Gamecube re-release, but that doesn't make this port any less significant. In fact, after a couple of mods to restore certain songs and textures, this version of the game is probably the best to play in modern times.
Picture this- you're a taxi driver. A taxi driver that's got 90 seconds to spare on the road, and the only way that you can stay on shift is by delivering customers to their destination for extra valuable time to do the same on thing. The more insane things you do, like jumping off inclines and weaving through traffic, the higher that fare ticket gets jacked on up...and if you do it quickly, you get paid quickly! It is so much fun weaving (or plowing) through traffic like an absolute madman and seeing that profit line right up on the right corner. If that's not enough, and you think you're suddenly some kind of Crazy Taxi expert, they've got the Crazy Box for those...well...CRAZY enough to take it on!
Honestly, I cannot stress enough how much fun this game is. For eight dollars, you are guaranteed to have a good time. Pick it up before it goes off sale forever, because otherwise tracking a copy of the Dreamcast or Gamecube re-releases are going to be a real pain in the butt.
This game is good. Good music, roads are optional, classic American cars.
Buy the game before it gets delisted from steam.
This port sucks ass, but moding is fairly easy. Also buy this before Sega delists this
Hey hey hey today we gun' make so CRAZZZY cash
They Removed My Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazy Lisence After Hitting Couple People....
What the f uck SEGA, stop delisting games.
great game just mod in the original soundtrack
Buy this game before it is delisted on December 6th, 2024.
One of the best arcade games Sega has ever released. I'm sad they're delisting it.
A sporadic, arcade, time attack taxi simulator in a car that doesn't follow universal physics laws. A shockingly high skill ceiling, and a banging soundtrack by The Offspring and Bad Religion (which you have to mod back in due to copyright issues.)
8.5/10
Easily worth the base price.
YAH YAH YAH YAH YAH (download the music mod)
Hour 1: Surely this taxi isn't that crazy
Hour 100: Holy shit
Tim Walz Approved
a game you can always come back to and kill some time
weird controller setup
YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Remember it as easier and funnier with ps2 but this is just superhard and wierd.
"fried chicken shack" "pizza parlor" "clothing store" I remember the truth.
fun game
CraaaaZy gooooood.
Welcome to CRAAAAZY TAXI!!!!!
best arcade game ever! <3
e ron dona don don dona don
Un joc pur și simplu Incredibil. Criminal, chiar.
Great Classic game!
This game is fairly short and although it is fairly fun being able to race around town smashing into cars. All while fighting against the clock in order to get your clients to their destination on time. I still can't feel disappointed by the price tag for not even two hours of game play to charge $8 is simply ridiculous especially considering the age of this game. It is a lot of fun driving in this game the controls feel good and the car sticks to the pavement so you can hit really tight turns, but one glaring issue the game has is its interaction with any wall or object. If the car is pushed against a wall or flat faced object the car can't reverse at all. This means you are basically stuck which can be a real pain when playing a game where every second counts. The only way to get unstuck is to push forward until the car slides up against it and you can drive off. Another big problem the game faces is a lack of good directions. Expected in a driving game you'd think that you'd be able to tell where you need to go. For the most part you can as the game gives you a directional arrow and will warn you if you are going the wrong way. The only problem with this arrow is that it doesn't account for height and with the main level having different ascending and descending roads this can make the arrow basically useless as it will just point you into a wall. One thing I also noticed was a real lack of challenge I had expected to get more time from the game while completing the achievements, but managed to get a S class on arcade and original on my second run. Despite getting two BADS and three SLOW I still got a S license grade. I think the longer you run for the higher your score will be so if you pick arcade and only go a minute or two you could end up with a worse grade then going with the 10 minute working option. i mainly gave this game a six because it was still fun to drive around and the music really does smack, but the price is really steep and their are some glaring issues the really kill the mood leaving me more upset then anything while playing. 6/10

I have wanted to play the Crazy Taxi arcade cabinet growing up, but I knew I would be feeding the thing quarters cuz I sucked at it. I'll have you know I am doing way better....now that I don't have to pay per game anymore. Game runs well.
I told myself I couldn't get a good score because I didn't know where stuff was...I learned the map lol. That was not my intention.
CRazy
Nobody asked me if I'd had a busy night? Must be a mistake surely.
⭐⭐
Some games age like fine wine, but Crazy Taxi isn't one of them. It's cool and fun at first sight, but it gets boring really fast. Even considering its own time, it's crazy to think that GTA III and Crazy Taxi are games from the same generation, because the first is a lot more varied, complex and rich, featuring taxi missions and many other activities. Truth be told, even Driver (PS1) is a better game.
i will always love this game!!!!!

man, what a terrible port, it looks terrible, runs good, but the original music is not there, the Crazy Taxi theme is NOT in the game.
I preffer to keep playing the dreamcast version on my chinese bootleg gba-like console at 480p, because is better than this.
i drive
put the licensed music back in you cowards
City streets alive,
Race the clock, fares to deliver,
Chaos in the ride.
Arcade thrills abound,
Speed and stunts, a wild rush,
Taxi dreams come true.
Soundtrack pumping loud,
Offspring tunes and crazy fun,
Nostalgia reborn.
Short bursts of pure joy,
Crazy Box challenges too,
Classic gaming bliss.
Extremely inferior release of what was, in its original arcade version and Dreamcast port, an incredible game. I don't mind driving to Generic Chicken Shop or Definitely Not Tower Records, even if they change the "feel" of playing the game. But controller support doesn't include functioning analog sticks, which makes weaving through traffic clumsy and far less enjoyable. The audio is unbalanced; I can't hear characters' voices over the music and there doesn't appear to be any way to change that.
The altered soundtrack just ruins it. Even if the other issues were fixed, Bad Religion and The Offspring were a massive part of what gave Crazy Taxi its energy and feel. The new soundtrack just isn't driving music.
These issues can be fixed through mods. But it's just not acceptable, in my opinion, to release and sell a version of Crazy Taxi after removing functionality as basic as "the analog stick has analog function."
The driving in this game is electric once you learn the mechanics. If you're playing and it feels slow, you are missing something, don't worry. Crazy Taxi delivers classic arcade fun in a colorful package.
YAH YAH YAH YAH YAH!
The vanilla Steam release of this Dreamcast classic is like the in-game class D license ranking: "I can't believe it, was that your best? I don't think so!"
BUT Installing a few (and frankly essential) mod & patch files restores it to the original's CRAZY glory. Controls, soundtrack, ad-placements - the whole shebang! Massive thanks to all the genius fans for making that possible! <3
A great guide on how to do so can be found here (It's easy btw!) :

On another note, Sega's new take on Crazy Taxi certainly sounds... interesting, to say the least (A triple-A MMO of all things lmao). Hopefully it is going to be worth playing, when and if ever it comes out.
In the meantime, do yourself a favor and "come on over and have some fun with CRAZY TAXI!" Its goofy arcade-racer fun in a stylish, americana-flavoured package of the late 90s/early 00's :)
laying Crazy Taxi again after all these years was a wild nostalgia trip! The moment the iconic Offspring track kicked in, I was instantly transported back to the chaotic, adrenaline-fueled streets of my childhood.
It’s amazing how such a straightforward concept can still be so much fun—dodging traffic, pulling off insane stunts, and hearing those outrageous customer comments. Even after all these years, Crazy Taxi remains an absolute blast, reminding me why it’s a timeless classic.
Absolutely great game. An all-time classic. Action-packed. Full of opportunities for showing off your skills and knowledge of the map. Unfortunately some licensed content from the original version was removed, but there are community patches to fix some of that.
