Enhanced version of Flatout 2 - added achievements, a bunch of new characters and vehicles, better graphics.
Very fun still... but the original is more fun as far as I'm concerned,
Just wanted to say this, I am so happy that this game came out after the horrible Flatout 3. Basically Flatout 2 remastered but more.
Indeed Ultimate. The game series is loved by many, finally had a big update this year all across. It was magical to revisit and hopefully become available for many new players. The driving physics, the damage and destruction physics, it's simply a perfection.
Amazing fun arcade racer. they don't make games like they used to
Played this game as a kid, bought it because of the nostalgia and the game is still as good as I remember it. Really reccomend buying it.
Legit arcade race from the 2000's. Finally the game got a update that removed the GFWL cancer.

one of the greatest racing games where you can grind first place on all tracks in career or go into carnage mode to try highscores on time trials, derbys, stunts or racing while eliminating all other competitors. Timelessly enjoyable
My labour of love pick for 2024
The fact they decided to come back to this game and update it for seemingly no reason is simply amazing.
It's still the Ultimate Carnage edition which contains more drivers included who make the campaign even more chaotic and fun! Plus, achievements! Hell yes, it's still the same good ole formula of the amazing Flatout 2 and original Ultimate Carnage but this is the definitive Flatout to play; also, you can even get mods to add the OG Flatout 2 soundtrack to make it even better!
I finished this game twice, once before the update and I just had to play and 100% it again after they added achievos because it is that damn satisfying to play. If you don't wanna listen to the soundtrack (the original UC's soundtrack is also pretty good! It just doesn't feature some heavy names that the Flatout 2 soundtrack does) this is the perfect game to watch videos or listen to podcasts as you play.
If you're itching for a destruction derby, vehicular fenderbender type of deal-- grab this masterpiece. You will not regret it.
The game has been "enhanced" in the "Collector's Edition" (no collector value there whatsoever, it's a digital release, DRM'ed with Steam). This edition REMOVES MULTIPLAYER both online and LAN. The company didn't have even decency to port it to Steamworks. Menus are still not controllable with mouse but only with arrow keys, enter, escape, etc. Console controller mappings cannot be rebound, gear shifting is set on the over the trigger bumper buttons: RB, LB. Game is highly frustrating to play due to physics being such that any debris lying on the track may make the car severely lose grip or even launch it in the air. The "Collector's Edition" update also destroyed my savegames.
I remember playing this game back with Windows live was a thing about the game for under $3 and it's well worth the price fallout 1 2 and fall out ultimate Carnage was the three best games I ever played when it come to destruction The game was challenging it was fast it was fun The graphics are good it plays the same three songs over and over which is fine but still today in the year 2024 this game is still fun and it's actually offline and it doesn't require Windows live anymore because now it has steam achievements which is also a plus I do recommend this game to anybody if you're a millennial type guy then you'll know all about these series of games if you also look at the newer games like wreckfest then you should play this

the graphics hold up very well to this day, the physics are good and car selection is great as well. overall a great game

Nostalgic but wouldn't recommend the game to Gen Z because it has aged.
Classic, hilarious, and replayable gameplay. The demolition derbies are exciting, the mini-games are hilarious and surprisingly skill based, and the races are phenomenally simple yet interesting. Somehow this game stood the test of time and manages to look good in 2024. I'm grateful it was rereleased, as it performs magically on Steamdeck.
It's old school, no nonsense, arcade driving, fun.

Its really shit, theres no skill cap at all. Okay theres but its as tinier than a teenage girls self esteem, rest is literally luck and how much the game decides to sabotage u or how it feels about u today. Every single curb, tipped over street ligfht, tiny little cardboard box can have you completely fly off the track and turn you into a falling freebird with no wings. Its fucked, dunno what they were thinkin back than, Cant do the physics? THAN DONT DO THEM, simple.
The collector's edition update made this game playable again! :D
Just like OG FlatOut 2, Ultimate Carnage looks, sounds and even smells like America.
The graphics are more realistic but I think this game's missing some of the colour filters OF FO2 had. It has an updated playlist but I personally like the OG playlist better.
You can think of it as an upgrade for FlatOut 2, so both FO2 and UC are GOATs to me.

FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage, the most played childhood game, next to halo 3 and wars on my old 360, I used to mostly sit on the main menu and listen to it's OST and jam out, brings back memories being 9, still holds up till this day, graphics is nice, i dont seem to see that filter on it like on the 360, but overall, it's a great port, great for the price, even better if you catch it on sell!
Great game, just adjust graphics settings for older computers or it will run to slow.

FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage comes from a golden era of racing games, while being easily the most entertaining of them all. The spectacle of destruction is still as satisfying as ever, making each lap unique, thanks to constantly changing obstacles you encounter through the race. While FlatOut 2 is quite dated, Ultimate Carnage is still quite a looker even after 16 years. It also brings more opponents per race, and even more interactive environments than before. Coupled with great handling model, aggressive opponents with unique behaviours, and huge variety of events, this is a must play for every racing games fan out there. Not to mention it was also recently updated to Steam Deck verified status, so for SD owners it is a complete no-brainer.
The best Flatout game that ever existed. The offer was completely worth it.
Rally racing meets street racing meets crash test dummy testing meets Mad Max all in one. I've never played a racing game that is so aggravating, so fun and so addictive all rolled up in a pile of rag dolls stuffed in a fire cracker.
In the beginning it seems easy then gets difficult quick. Give it time because this game is a blast. Yes it can get very annoying at times because you have great speed and an excellent line and BLAM! Some ass clown rams you up the backside and knocks you into a pole or wall, or something and you fly out the windshield screaming and some how you laugh your ass off because the game isn't over. You may only be in second spot, and remember, your number two now and you can do the same thing to the person who did it to you a moment ago and you'll be doing all you can to not pee your pants because you're laughing so hard.
Or, you could be out of all that mayhem and you have an excellent line and you hit a piece of debris which throws you off your line so hard that you crash into something and it throws you out the windshield.
This game is awesome. And annoying. And addictive. And a blast. Sorry to end this so quick but I have some more racing and crashing to do.
The last truly great FlatOut game still holds up 15 years later.

Another game that claims to work on Steam Deck but doesn't. It worked the first time but now when I get into a race - none of the controls register. STOP FUCKING LYING ABOUT COMPATIBILITY!
Flatout, Burnout & Stuntman used to be my favorite games back then, games like these never get old
Its the prequel to Wreckfest and you can tell right away. And thats a good thing, game is awesome arcade-y racing fun.
The game is a significant upgrade to the hit game FlatOut 2.
Beside the already existing trophies in the Flatout mode, you now can play extra challenges in the new arnage mode.
Some cars previously available through the Flatout mode now are behind the arnage mode missions (f.e. Road King, Insetta), however new cars like the Grinder have been added too.
Cars available through cheat codes can be unlocked after reaching gold in arnage missions featuring them.
The physics have been overall improved and driving feels a lot smoother compared to the original.
Textures have been improved as well, however the HUD is still in the old resolution.
This can be fixed with the new workshop implementation.
The only real negative about the game I can tell is the OST.
The original had a much greater selection that also felt more appropriate, but people have already uploaded workshop mods adding the original OST and more custom songs to the game, so the issue is easily solved.
Definitely one of the best racing games out there, being a solid rival/competitor to the beloved Burnout series.

Now that it has achievements, Flatout Ultimate Carnage, is a much better replacement of the newer Bugbear game Wreckfest. Not as good as Flatout 2 but it's up there. I recommend this game, especially over Wreckfest

I never thought that being involved in a likely-fatal multiple-car traffic accident could be so much fun!
Definitely a better game to pick up (especially for such a cheap price it goes for) than most of modern racing titles. (Somehow) still receives updates and love from other devs that took over this game.
This is not only the best game out of the series but the best destruction derby racing game of all time! and with low specs requirements makes this even better considering this game looks more like a 2012 game than 2007!
