Super challenging, yet relaxed game. Great sound and great flow. This game gives a better feeling and more enjoyable experience of flying down a mountain than many other video games like Steep have tried. All the trails are super interesting with so many different routes and shortcuts down them. I especially love that many of the trails on a single mountain are connected and with some perseverance you can actually hop from one trail to another.
A super well executed game, Art of Rally meets SSX meets mountain biking.
Nice graphic and visuals...solid and funny gameplay...a chillin' and challengin' game.
Highly raccomended.
Trials: 3D Mountain bike Edition
yes
cool little game if you like mountain biking
absolutely
a perfect mix of challenging slopes, beautiful scenery, and mildly accurate gameplay.
They should make this game first-person and add guns
the shit is good
This game is cool as hell.
If you are a keen mountain biker this is a great game. If you are after something a little fun and different it is a great game. I cant really say too much about this
Can be tranquil and relaxing, if you're in that kinda' mood, or can be a nail-biting sweat-fest, if you're attempting the game's more advanced challenges. Either way, the trails in Sierra Rivera kind of look like uncooked bacon.
whens lonely mountains uphill
Super fun arcade style game with pretty visuals. You can play it casually or try to beat all the expert challenges. Unlocking new trails and mountains doesn't require you to be great at the game. Sometimes I enjoy just riding at my own pace without stress and enjoying the views, but the real hook of the game is trying to find new shortcuts and upping your top time on each trail.
There is nothing cooler than finding a speedrun strat on your own and this game lets you have that feeling in droves. The game feels really good and unique to play, it's fast frantic and isn't so frustrating that you want to throw your controller out of the window into a pond of ducks.
Fun game to play while you listen to music and relax a bit. Would recommend
This game is super fun. The controls are tight riding down the mountain and you’re always looking for new faster lines off trail to optimize your time. Theres nothing better than exploring a new trail and getting experiential with how you make your way to the bottom as you die over and over.
What I like is that there are many different ways to play the game. I typically play this to unwind and relax, I'm not too bothered about how quickly I make it to the bottom. When I started playing it, it was all about the timing!
You can be creative and try really weird routes instead of sticking to the trail - the game rewards you for going off the beaten path.
There are different bikes offering some customisation and a natural process to get them. You can get through all the trails with the first bike you get. (maybe a couple of trails might need a different one but its not too much of a problem to get them)
There are multiple environments - lush greens, canyons, red wood forests - everything looks beautiful and serene - which make the falling off animations even funnier
You might be a little annoyed for the first 5 minutes when you keep falling off the bike but you will soon get the hang of it. Highly recommended!
This is a "game" where you "race" your "bicycle" down-hill on a lonely mountain. Is it a hill or a mountain? Nobody knows. That's the beauty.
After 100 hours still fun
One of the best games I've ever played. The gameplay mechanics are sublime. Lots of tracks and achievements to lock/ Highly recommended.
Absolute awful game I dont understand what kind of downsydrome autistic kid thought it would be a good idea for the camera angle to be facing you and now over the shoulder when the entire premise of the game is to go down a mountain. Suppose to be a relaxing game instead it is just a game for terminally ill children.
Started as a peaceful ride through nature, ended up as a high-speed physics experiment. Hit a tree, bounced off a rock, did an accidental 360 into a river. 10/10 mountain said no. 🚴♂️🌲💥

The Gameplay is sharp, with different route with the different bikes, the visual are really lovely, and the challenge is well paced.
The no music ambient is also really chill. Love it.
Cozy and relaxing, yet engaging and challenging.
Amazing experience on the Steam Deck. Perfect game to play with a podcast/video in the background.
I guess sometimes you can have your cake and eat it too.
Half mountain exploration game, with only your failures and birds to keep you company.
Half razor death defying simulator.
Look for short-cuts, then try to pull them off, with an ever lessening amount of time and lives.
Look at beautiful trees and waterfalls, as you fall, through the mist, to your death.
Sprint too fast, jump too far, brake too much; try over and over again.
Become the bike, beat the mountain!

played this on game pass years ago and sucked at it. but coming back is like riding a bike! game feels, sounds and looks great!
incredibly satisfying gameplay. it's somehow relaxing and tense at the same time. best enjoyed with a gamepad.
I had it on PS4 and rebought it to play again on the PC because it is that good. It is very fun, easily replayable, and satisfying challenges to complete. The simplistic graphic style used for the game is beautiful. When you crash into a rock or tree in game it is very quick reload to the last checkpoint. It’s always fun for a quick game session.
Lonely Mountains: Downhill – A Beautiful, Relaxing Ride Through Nature
Lonely Mountains: Downhill is a unique, serene biking adventure that combines the thrill of downhill racing with breathtaking environments. This indie gem offers a peaceful, stress-free experience where you can enjoy the beauty of nature while mastering challenging trails on your bike.
Gameplay
The game focuses on downhill mountain biking, where you navigate through a series of increasingly difficult tracks, each set in a different mountain location. What sets Lonely Mountains: Downhill apart is its emphasis on control and precision rather than speed. You must carefully steer, brake, and jump through winding paths, rocks, and obstacles while enjoying the scenic landscapes. The game’s minimalist approach to controls makes it accessible, but the challenging terrain keeps it engaging for experienced players. There's a relaxing vibe to it, with no timers or enemies – just you, your bike, and the beautiful world.
Performance
With an RX 7800XT, Ryzen 7 5700X, and 32GB of RAM, Lonely Mountains: Downhill runs smoothly at 60+ FPS on max settings. The vibrant environments are crisp, and the bike's movements are fluid, adding to the immersive experience. The game’s minimalistic visuals run well even on higher settings, ensuring smooth gameplay with no drops in performance, even on more complex tracks.
Conclusion
Lonely Mountains: Downhill is a peaceful, enjoyable experience that’s perfect for players looking for a break from fast-paced, action-packed games. Its beautiful environments, satisfying controls, and meditative gameplay make it a standout title for anyone looking for a relaxing, fun adventure on two wheels.
🚴 Take a ride through stunning landscapes and enjoy the tranquility of the mountains! 🌄
It's pretty good. Kind of infuriating at times, but it's a fun one to play while listening to podcasts or your own music or just getting inside your own head.
you have to follow the path instead of being able to make your own. also the camera is shit
difficult and rewarding. hoping that there are more mountains to come
This is my all time favorite racing game. All time favorite puzzle game. And all time favorite adventure game. This game is simply fun, challenging, and replicates the beauty of nature in ways you won't find anywhere else.
I nearly completed this game on Switch. Impressive as it is on Switch, revisiting it on my laptop and Steam Deck has been amazing. The extra FPS and level of detail really add to the experience and playability.
I don't know a game that's done level progression better than Megagon Industries crafted here. Each trail starts off with 'here's some checkpoints, just reach the end, you win.' Followed by two tiers of increasingly difficult 'here's some checkpoints, reach the end with some time and crash challenge goals, you win.' Lastly, there's the hardcore 'no checkpoints, reach the end without crashing a single time' challenge. That last challenge is heart attack inducing but the satisfaction of completion is unmatched. The way each of the four challenge sets for each trial bleed into each other paces you for success.
Some of the challenge goals gets you skins for your rider or bike. Other challenges you'll win a 'bike part' that you save up to buy new bikes.
I suggest grinding out the game with the starter bike, get 8 bike parts and buy the 'Geronimo' bike, which is sort of slow but allows you to fling yourself off cliffs and down vertical hills like a maniac. Geronimo allows you to create extremely satisfying short cuts.
There's zero music while you're on the trails, and it works. Just serene ambient nature noises that perfectly match the wondrous landscapes of each mountain. Every mountain and every trail has it's own unique personality that invites you to explore the multiple paths you can take to reach the goal.
If you like to hike or bike on trails IRL, you'll feel at home in this game. Learning each trail, each unique short cut, feels the same as learning a real trail.
The balance of chill and challenge in this game makes it accessible for everyone.
If you're looking for new racing game, or an adventure puzzle experience, buy Lonely Mountains Downhill.
Really great bike game, highly recommend great controls, variations and content. Audio and graphics are spot on for this genre. This and the developer's skiing game are highly recommends from me.
This game requires patience or it will be very frustrating. Once you get the hang of it its extremely fun.
A lot of fun. Feels great to control, the levels are well-designed with lots of alternate routes to explore, and the crashing ragdoll physics had me laughing out loud a lot.
It's a simple game without much depth, and that seems to be by design. Don't expect to pour hundreds of hours into it. The only goal is to get better times. I'm not really into time trials, but it's a lot of fun to casually ride around the pretty levels and look for cool new routes.
It's kinda neat
ok game tbh
Good Game
This game is really good fun and runs fantastic on steamdeck (though I'd limit the FPS to 60). I normally have zero interest in time trails or racing but I find this game extremely compelling. Something about finding a great shortcut by jumping off a cliff at a certain spot is really enjoyable.
I played their new skiing game as well, and while I think that's good, this one is even better. I think the challenges are a bit better designed here, I blew through the skiing game with relative ease whereas some of the tougher challenges on this game put me to more of a test in terms of optimizing routes and picking the right bike.
Amazing game with a lovely art style, it's a chill and yet somewhat challenging game.
Each mountain feels distinct and offers something unique.
Love the sound design of the game. The fact that there is no music at all during your rides was a great decision, it's just you and the ambient sounds, the gravel, wildlife and the environment.
I found the controls really intuitive from the start. The main critique I have is the camera, which sometimes, is not ideal.
Summing up, I definitely recommend the game and especially, to play it on the Steam Deck.
Lonely Mountains: Downhill is a wonderful game.
In each level, there's so much to explore and discover, all done at your own pace. The environment is incredibly chill and relaxing, especially with the soundscape of nature oozing in at every turn.
Movement is incredibly fun and fluid. There are lots of bikes to choose from and each has its own riding style, so you can choose if you want to go fast or want something with extra suspension to really tank through those hard landings.
All of the tension in this game comes at your own choice. Once you've explored the trail, you get the option to race through it in a time trial or in under a certain amount of restarts. The progression in difficulty feels so natural and my competitive instinct takes over to continually drive down my personal best as I discover secret paths.
Highly recommend, this game is a treat.
Other the odd camera angle (man a first person mode would be amazing), i love it. Go down fast, beat records, find shortcuts, it's pretty well designed
chill or sweaty, the choice is yours
This game is incredibly fun & very polished. The movement feels great, and it's really fun to play. I'm surprised this game isn't more popular. I highly recommend it.
The first time I saw the little guy on the bike crash, it was sickening. How could he survive it? 10,000 crashes later, it's just a signal to ride better!
So much fun to explore the mountain, find alternative paths, and memorise the fastest routes, trying so hard not to hit the same rock again.
An absolute pleasure to use with a controller.
Played this on and off on various systems over the years, I always keep coming back
Such a well designed and satisfying game, easy 9/10
I really enjoy this game for what it is. Relaxing, nice in short bursts, challenging, good variety of challenges and tracks. My kids like it ok too.
The limited camera angle is perhaps a bit frustrating to same, but it adds to the nature/challenge of the game. The game would feel very different from a first person or over the shoulder perspective and you would feel too much in control.
