So old it no longer runs. Just crashes on launch. (fresh Win 11 ROG laptop)
Does not feel worth even the very low price I paid, mostly due to bad writing and voice acting. The shooting and graphics are....okay but not what I would call memorable. Devs, if you're making a generic wave shooter, don't bog it down with even more generic dialogue.
It's basically abandon ware. There are MUCH better games out there that actually run at better resolutions than this one. It looks like crap in my Vive Pro. It constantly resets my achievements and I have to play through hours and hours again to unlock stuff I had unlocked days before. I'd pass on this. If I didn't have 5 hours in I'd ask for a refund. It's that bad....
I enjoy the sound effects of this game and it is fun to play. I wish they would come up with Holiday versions of the the game such as spooky theme like Halloween, raining, Christmas snowy scene just to make it even more appealing. This one my favorite shooting games.
An uninspired wave shooter marred by horrible voice acting and a ridiculous grind.
High Noon VR shows glimmers of good work, then throws it in the trash.
The environments are passable (if a little repetitive), the guns are well modelled, and the shooting gameplay is simple and effective. There's a foundation of a halfway-decent game here, if it had more content to it. Instead, High Noon employs cheap tricks to stretch out its content far past its welcome, and these make its other flaws even more unbearable.
ಠ_ಠ Progression is a grind.
Every enemy in this game has a health bar that your weapons deplete. Even headshots aren't enough to kill enemies if your weapon isn't a high enough level. You're forced to accumulate cash for upgrades, but this progression takes far too long and requires repeating levels - especially if you don't specialize in one choice of weapon or another.
If the game didn't have this grind, you'd blow through its levels in 45 minutes and then immediately request a steam refund of your $10. Obviously, we can't have that.
ಠ_ಠ There's no mechanics for cover, dodging, or other damage mitigation beyond shooting.
Fights in this game are effectively a DPS (Damage per Second) race - you need to blow away enemies' health bars before they take yours out. There's no way of mitigating damage aside from shooting threats - no use of cover or moving your body, which is a terrible waste of roomscale VR's potential.
ಠ_ಠ Enemy design is dull and their voice acting is uninspired.
Only a half-dozen different character models in the game exist, with a boring palette swap of their clothing colors. After you fight a boss in one stage, they become mooks in the next one for you to stomp on. You'll occasionally hear a "Hey, you!" from the 'sexy' female enemies. What fun.
ಠ_ಠ The narrator sounds like a sexist basement dweller.
Between badly reading western romance novel text in the shopping stage, to calling the women 'skanks', the narration of this game is unredeemable trash. The developer's response was to add a mute button for him and call it fixed, when honestly, these narration files should have just been deleted outright.
Bottom-line, this game isn't worth buying, even at sale rates.
If you're looking for a simple, Western-themed wave shooter, Guns'n'Stories easily beats out this game for the same price point on every single aspect. There's no ridiculous grind, higher quality enemies, and a far less obnoxious narrator. Plus, it features a demo.

Okay so I just picked this one up and I am 87 minutes into the game. I got to say so far it is a lot of fun. I like the look of the game, the detail, I like the upgrades, and new weapons. It is a wave shooter but it feels right, and I like how the guns load so you can focus on the action. It is clear the developers put in the time . Now having said that I am only in for 87 minutes so I will let you know how it feels as I progress. So far thumbs up.
Would not pay for this game.
The voice acting is horrendous.
Still a playable game, enjoyable for a few minutes. No options to turn off the dialogue, however - which completely ruins the game.
This could have been a classic little shooter. Nice accurate shooting, decent visuals. But, for some reason, they decided to totally ruin the game with some absolute idiot doing a loud, unfunny voice commentary throughout. I'm not exaggerating when I say this guy has the most obnoxious voice I have ever heard in my life and not one single thing he says is funny. I could hardly believe it. And, needless to say, you can't turn it off in any of the menus without turning off normal sound effects as well. Totally ridiculous. I really feel for the programmers who put together a great game only to have it totally ruined by someone else. Total Fail.
The gameplay is fantastic and some of the most fun I've had in a singleplayer VR shooter. But the voice that is always commenting on the game is the most annoying fucking thing I have every heard. Especially when you cant even turn it off in the options... Whoevers idea it was to add that, needs to be killed by a flock of geese.
System being used:
VIVE Pro, Pro controllers and 2.0 sensors, i9-7900X, 1080 and 32 GB RAM
This game is a perfect representation of the old west in a wave shooter. The weapons are hyper-accurate, the tracking is superb. No hiccups in graphics, no artifacting, no screen tearing, no errors or crashes. Everything performs well.
Some features of the game include:
Having multiple "maps" where enemies will randomly spawn and attack you with basic AI.
You have an on-screen HUD arrow that notifies you if an enemy spawns too far out of your line of sight.
Purchaseable and upgradeable weapons (each one can be upgraded 3x for increasing amounts of money)
Simple quests that indicate an amount with a random set of parameters like getting 10 headshots with the rifle, or breaking 10 objects in a single wave with the gatlin gun, etc.
Some cons:
The narrator gets annoying after awhile.
It's a bit grindy when you're trying to upgrade all the weapons since you really need more options from a tactical stance on later maps. For example having explosive ammo is preferable when you're attacking from above and using bodies as shields is needed on maps where enemies can shoot from elevated positions, etc.
All-in-all it's a great game that I've spent quite a bit of time on. I really like the shooting mechanics and reloading. This is a well-polished game with lots of hours of fun.
Reviewed using HTC Vive Pro and 1.0 Controllers
👢 Western Arcade Shooter your a sheriff 🤠 in the wild wild west to keep law & order you must face the Good 🙂the Bad 🙄and the Truely Ulgy 😬
I like everything this one has! Graphics and sounds are solid. You'll want to keep playing so you can earn more cash for buying better weapons to clear waves. Not just great gun play with interesting Towns Stages. Also has clever traps to set off against those pesky Outlaws.

outdated repitive and annoying. Forgot to add fan in the game
UPD
Ok, i made mistake in word "fun"
Developer posted pic with fans :))) fAnny :))))
I posted comments, but occasionally i made new feedback ^) so i desided to post its here, too becouse nobody read comments
:))) Yes, thats was fAn )))
And sorry for my english
And for my negative feedback
But Bulletproof still beats you.
Yes it is a different concept - story driven arcade shooter. VS hardcore repititeve grindlike shooter.
I prefer first, anyway. But from your cartoon visuals, expectong something BP style
Some story between arena will make game better
(WHy am i here, why am i doing this? wtf?!?!?)
And nothing can explain lack of enemy models
hard by repitive gameplay ( i had naturally LEARN position and timing of enemies....Come on, i have to keep in mind tons of info in real life)
And this annoying comentator ib ny head with four phrases again again and again
AM i Shisophrenic sheriff???
All this game (SPECIALLY GUY IN MY HEAD) remember me famous words off Vaas from FC3
"Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is? Insanity is doing the exact... same fucking thing... over and over again expecting... shit to change... That. Is. Crazy. "
That. Is. High.Noon
PROS:
- Feels polished
- Gunplay is tight and satisfying
- Enemies spawn only within a 180-degree radius in front of you, not behind you (I find this immensely preferable compared to similar games that spawn enemies behind you)
- Weapon upgrades completely change the appearance of weapons (e.g. a level 1 pistol is a regular old revolver, at level 2 it's polished beautifully with a fancy wooden grip, and at level 3 has golden inlays and decorations)
- A fun variety of weapons. Not just your standard guns, but also sticks of dynamite and a harpoon gun among others, allowing for different strategies.
- A good number of levels
- Hey you!
CONS:
- The narrator gets a bit annoying after an hour or two, and turning him off requires turning off all ingame sound. EDIT: They've released a patch to fix this. So no cons, and we can add "responsive devs" to the pros!
First off I have to say this game is addicting! I have a hard time turning it off. Graphics are good, the action is fun, and selection of weapons are great. There's not a lot of games where you are being attacked by sexy cowgirls. I love the way almost everything on the street reacts to getting hit. Glass breaks, boxes blow up, even the tumble weeds react. A head shot can either be fatal or just knock off a cowboy hat. From shotgun, to rope gun, to mini gun, good luck figuring out your best combination.
My only complaint is the whiney announcer. I just want to punch him in the face and tell say "Don't call me Billy!!!" I can't wait to see what this developer comes up with next. Well that's my 2 cents worth, now it's time to go back and play this game for another hour or two.
Cheers!
A better version of Guns'n'Stories: Bulletproof VR that is much lengthier, has better graphics, and doesn't have a stupid story. This game makes it obvious that you're killing stuff to kill stuff. The announcer could be better, he does repeat himself a lot. The starting guns could feel better as well. But the enemies are more varied. Some will get behind cover. Some run. Some throw dynamite at you. The upgrade system is good as you get some nice weapons and they all do different things and you can upgrade each. Nice use of light and dark scenarios. I wish you couldn't 1 hand 2 handed weapons. Some parts of the environment are destructible.
This is about killing stuff fast, I don't think you can evade, but you do have to shoot down stuff thrown at you. Nice boss fights at the end of waves. Very quick, satisfying gameplay.
Rating 7/10 there's a new sheriff in town, or bandito, who knows, you're just killing anything that moves
Bought this on a whim as it was on sale. Glad I did. It's simple and a whole lot of fun. Reminds me very much of those arcade machines with the light guns from ages past. Shove in yer 10p and shoot aliens, monsters, or in this case cowboys (and girls).
There's really not much to it - just point and shoot, but it's actually quite tricky as there seems to be no way to avoid damage - you just have to take them down fast. You earn cash pretty fast which you use to buy and upgrade guns. There's something rather sick and also immensely satisfying about taking a minigun AND a shotgun as a loadout. Replaying the earlier levels with the better guns makes me wonder why I had so much trouble first time around.
The graphics are fantastic. Real cartoony, but that's what works best on the Vive. Realistic-ish graphics just look worse in VR than they do in 2D, so this game gets it right. Best moment is when you shoot incoming dynamite out of the sky and this big cloud of smoke and fire washes over you. It's one of those WOW moments, like when you try VR for the first time. The voice-over is kinda cool. I assumed it would get annoying pretty quickly, but so far not, after almost 4 hours in the game.
The game itself seems to have 9 levels and I've reached 5. So perhaps 8-10 hours overall to finish the game... maybe? Doesn't sound like much, but that's about the same as the COD single-player campaign and this is much cheaper. For what I've paid, I've already had my money's worth and I ain't done yet.
I enjoy this game. A little nervous to move to the next stages without access to more powerful guns. If there's any frustration, it's that you can't trade in guns. Since you can't try more expensive guns out before buying them, you wind up spending money on a gun (or dynamite . . . DON'T!) that you really aren't going to use. I'd love to try one of the rifles, but if they give me less fire power than the 2 or 6 bullet guns I currently have, it'd be a waste. Ultimately, a great game and I recommend it highly!
No luck catching those killers, then?
It's just the one killer, actually...
A fun game where you play a (possibly undead) sheriff as he kills his way through seemingly infinite outlaws in an otherwise-uninhabited town. Your only companion is a voice that may or may not be entirely in your head. The voice seems to alternate between praising your killing prowess, making corny jokes, and implying that you might be a dangerously unstable psychopath. I played an earlier version of this with my Viveport subscription, but this version is much more polished and balanced. It would be nice if you could purchase and upgrade armor, as a way of fortifying your health in addition to all the weapon upgrades, and the side task to kill 6 enemies in 3 seconds with dynamite is a bit unbalanced (it's hard enough to just get 6 bandits on screen at once without them blowing themselves up...) but other than that, it's pretty great.
Love this game! It's really well done. Great looking environments, characters and effects. There are advanced weapons you can unlock from earning points. You'll need these eventually when the difficulty ramps up. Didn't finish yet but so far really enjoying it!
Played it for just under an hour and thought I would give my first impressions as they is no reviews as of yet.
Graphics are nice and colourful and the cartoon style adds to the game play which is very fun and it has just enough difficulty to keep you wanting one more go. Also they is a nice selection of weapons to upgrade to keep you wanting to earn more money for the next big gun.
So far I have only played three maps/towns and you are stationary each time as the towns folk attacks you from inside of the building and also running at you, as a wave shooter it's very engaging and nice to see at the end of each round they is a boss fight.
The sounds are great and the Wilhelm scream makes me giggle every time I hear it, the narrator is also funny.
For it's price tag it's well worth it and I would highly recommend it.
