Unfortunately for now due to an engine limitation, the Steam Achievements only work for Windows platforms. I'll work on getting them working on Mac down the line, but for now they only work on the Windows version.
About the Game
Close Your Eyes -Anniversary Remake- is an anthology of seven horror games collected into one package. The seven tales to experience are"- Close Your Eyes: A remake of the 2015 game of the same name]. Join an adorable murderer bound by their past, brought into question by a strange game show host. Completely remade from the ground up, it includes new locations, brand new threats, an extended story, 10 endings, and a dive into an atmospheric abyss that may linger with you long after you've completed it.
- Girl's Graveyard: The predecessor to Close Your Eyes, also remade from the ground up. The maddening arcade-styled game about a witch collecting candy for her beloved, including new scenes and greater darker depths than the original. There may be more than sweet things to find behind the façade
- Close Your Eyes: A Ghastly Tale: You play as a red-headed girl in a yellow dress, on a suicide mission to get revenge for a lost loved one. However, a large doll named Baby claiming her to be its mother comes to warn her of a creepy skeletal rabbit named, "Jeremy", who's hunting her down.
- Girl's Graveyard Mystery: Kiki is a witch in a coven deep within the woods. One day while picking berries, she stumbles on a naked boy who's lost his memories. She takes him to her village, where things begin to unravel and get stranger by the day. Now she's got to solve the mystery to save her sisters.
- Close Your Eyes: The Twisted Puzzle: A port of the 2017 free DLC for the original freeware game, included for completion sake, but with a little new spiced in to make it interesting. A series of cryptic puzzles that may be fun for a group to come together and solve together.
- Close Your Eyes: Beneath the Surface: Taking place after the events of Close Your Eyes, the Little Marshmallow is tasked with surviving in a small settlement for a strange reality game show they're involuntarily part of, possibly with shady intent. To survive the murky horrors, they may need to dig deeper.
- Unlock the Secrets of the Annex: As you make progress in all of the game modes, you will begin to unlock more content in a new hub world known as, "The Annex." It's laden with many secrets and hidden depths to discover, and its own dark tale to tell.
You start off with the remakes of Close Your Eyes and Girl's Graveyard, then unlock more and more to sink your teeth into as you earn achievements within the various games. There may be something more even for those who manage to get every single achievement... I'm very proud of this package of games, and I hope you all enjoy it yourselves.

Close your eyes is a genuinely a immesnsely intresting rpgmaker horror game. A game I have loved over the years now for the unnerving nature and twtisted story it unravels, and now with this recent major update I'm excited to delve into that world once more. If you have some spare money and want a good time, I suggest you buy some Yai games and play with some friends in a discord call. You won't regret it.

It got actually updated to my surprise, Im not sure if my review was a working hand in this or just a timely coincidence.
The content didnt seem disappointing, altho quite lackluster for a 3 year hiatus. Anyway, Im a man of my word, so up that thumb goes.
I really wish the developer had focused on finishing the unfinished game some people paid for rather than just pumping out more games.
This remake looks promising. I replayed it a few times. But what it has so far is so limited. The only finished aspect of it is Girls Graveyard, which is not the main selling point, and that honestly peeves me off really bad. To pay almost 10 dollars expecting a decent remake of a good game, I'm very dissapointed to have received a tiny chunk of a remake and an entirely different side game.
It's not bad by any means. It's just not worth almost 10 dollars, especially unfinished like this with no update coming in the near future despite the developer clearly being active.
I look forward to the completed product of this game. The old version of Close Your Eyes is without a doubt one of my favorite indie games out there, especially in terms of story. I am happy that this remake, which also contains so much more than the original game to the point that one could call this a sequel (which it may be, who knows!), was made. I am more than happy to buy this game (while the old one was free, I would have absolutely paid to play it) and as said before, I am eagerly anticipating the next update to this game.

I think Close Your Eyes is a hugely underappreciated game and doesn't get enough recognition, out of all the horror RPGmakers I've played, this is definitely one of my favourites.
I'm looking forward to the full version of the remake and other future games Yai is planning to release (and I'm waiting for the return of my son, Marshmallow Monk).
So far, this game is a lot more polished than the last one, and the last one, in my opinion, is awesome! I hop eit gets updated soon though
I already love it just as much as the old version, the parts of the game that are now different from the old version are great but the only thing I want now is the full game. I hope those closed doors will soon open.
I loved the other developer's games, although the repetitiveness of tasks can be tedious. However this anniversary update is terrible. I bought this in April 2019 & it says expect updates in Feb 2019. It also says "Close your eyes" in this version is unfinished and all but the incredibly repetitive and difficult Girl Graveyard game are available, the rest of the content says "coming soon".
So not sure how this can be recommended or get good reviews from what I've experienced.
This was so much fun! The main game was adorable yet scary. The dark theme's and overall scary atmosphere made it much more fun to play through unlike some other games I have played. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good indie horror game!
If you're on mac, its definitely not something to look into. Updates are rare and mac users are unable to play past a glitch following the first puzzle at the start of the game (an issue that was acknowledged, but never resolved). The quick discussion reply was appreciated wholeheartedly, but it was never acted on, and i'm unable to get a refund because of it. The actual game looks great, i'm sure it has an amazing plot and adventure to it, just sad I probably wont be playing it for a long, long while.
Close Your Eyes was one of my first games on STEAM. So when this remake came out I thought: 'Huh...how can you improve on a game that's already so perfect?"
Well I got my answer and man oh man it does not disappoint!!
There's so much new stuff to the game I don't even know what to do first!
I eagerly wait in anticipation for next part of the game to update and see what else is in store for our Little Marshmallow :)
This is an excellent remake of an already excellent game. Provides full unbridled access to the minigame. All of Aestheticgamer's games are pure gold but this is just incredible, especially with the added content. It'd be worth it to try playing the orginal game first, but this offers the original plus more. I've played every Aestheticgamer title but this easily the second best. just behind Red Haze (which you should also play!).

Really great so far. Overall, the sprite work, artstyle, soundeffects and - track are very good at worst.
Girl's Graveyard is very intruiging and can be extremely eerie. I've had a complaint about a room getting too dark which was apparently fixed according to update news.
Twisted Puzzle is fun though I found some hints to be too vague but I also think changing that would severely hurt the game and its presentation.
So far the Remake of the "main" game is also very good. I can't really say more at the moment considering it's not finished.
Overall I don't have any major issues with any of the modes. So I wholeheartedly recommend the purchase even if it's just for GG and TP.
From what I know the dev(s) listen to feedback and I hope they keep up the quality of what we have so far. If they do this is going to be a fantastic game.
Edit mid 2020:
to all newcomers who wonder whether I still recommend this even though updates usually get delayed by at least 4 months and appear very rarely in general: yes, I do. The two finished modes definitely warrant the price tag for me considering that I have played both twice with intention of doing so again and I remain optimistic about the main component.
I wish this would be updated on a more frequent basis and seeing the amount of content that is already available and the content that is supposed to come out I doubt this will be complete any time soon.
I'm not mad that I bought it because the price tag is less than a Happy Meal and I most definitely got something very good and high quality out of it. I'm dissappointed because I was looking forward to the other modes or the remake but it seems that I can abandon my hopes.

pretty sure this is abandoned. I still stand by my statement that I think you get good value for the price with the finished modes but don't expect this to be finished ever.

Somehow it is already creepier than the original.
I have never actually written a game review before, but I am willing to give it a shot if it means more people get to experience this game. I feel like this game serves as a great introduction into the Yai Gameworks games, or into RPG horror games in general. Nothing is too intense that the game can't be beaten (except maybe Girl's Graveyard, which was super rough but an equal amount challenging) and many of the game's scares are psychological and rely on building the right atmosphere, as opposed to cheap jumpscares for the sake of cheap jumpscares. The story is engaging and surreal, making it an interesting game to play and formulate your own theories for afterwards. The gameplay itself is a nice mix between exploration and puzzles and it rotates between them enough to keep your play through interesting.
When comparing this to the original, I am extremely excited for the new content yet to be released. This was my first time playing Girl's Graveyard, but I have played through the original Close Your Eyes before the remake's release. I enjoyed the improved sprites and visuals, like the glowing eye on dialogue boxes instead of the default RPG Maker arrow and the personalized colors for each character's dialogue. The orginal music is great as always, and some of the added sound effects were a great touch, such as the piano note when saving (which I believe is new compared to the original). If I could suggest a change, I think it would be interesting if instead of having all of the songs unlocked in the Annex at once, have them gradually unlockable when the player completes a specific task or as they appear in-game.
Overall, it's a great game that's worth the price, and I am eagerly awaiting the content yet to come.
Let me start off by saying I've been a huge fan of Close Your Eyes ever since it came out. I'm fond of all the characters and god, I was so delighted to see a remake! I've waited and waited and purchased it as soon as it came out! I can say that it was definitely worth the wait. This game has such likeable characters, kickass music, challenging gameplay, and fun puzzles. I will admit, it made me jump several times, especially when I was truly in gameplay mode(lights off, headphones on). Not only that but there were so many times that it made me uneasy. The sound effects really add to it. I recommend this game to anyone who loves a good horror rpg.
