Played it years ago in it's original form and even bought packs, all of them in fact. I wouldn't play this game again after it shut down the first time, if you paid me back all the money I spent on the original.
Commit to the death of your game if you're going to give up on it.
Massive scam charging a sub for players that purchased this game when it was a one time fee. On top of that it was clunky and a meh game to begin with.
I paid 50$ to buy the game that went nowhere, now they want me to pay 15 $ a month to play a free to play game. yeah I would not recommend this game this game.

Maybe this will help few ppl before they decide to waste their time in LiF. Devs are doing everything to make this game worse and worse. After such a long time, this game should be stable, run smooth and with some luck, should have new content. Instead of that u have game that works like early old version, unstable, with jumping ping and fps. On top of that, devs/gms do nothing against ppl that are exploiting and cheating ingame. Normal players have to spend a lot of time grinding money/materials while others used exploit to get tons of money, tons of equipment, other players discorvered it was made by using exploits and devs did literally nothing, no bans etc. So, if u think u will have fun in LiF, good luck to you. You will spend 3/4h a day farming natives to get money and some loot while others will have 10000 gold coins in 10mins and will laugh at you, with devs clapping in the background. Developers dont listen to community, especially dont care about what old, experienced players are saying. This game had a huge chance to become something great again but with current dev team and its approach, ppl should forget about Life is Feudal, should not pay any money and for sure should not give them any playerbase. Maybe they will learn something and make this game fun and enjoyable at some point.

Crazy to think but if people didn't have to pay for play time, people would actually love to play your game.
After playing almost 200 hrs and playing it BEFORE it went F2P, this game has done a complete 180. This is not a F2P P2W game and is no longer fun. It was always ment to be an extreme grind of a game and only the most serious of players should apply, but now unless you pay a sub the game is so much harder that it already was. DO NOT BUY. R.I.P THE OLD DAYS.

Fun slow burn crafting medieval survival sandbox. Know what you're getting into. This CAN be the game we all thought it would be in 2015
The game is being ruined by a small group of elitists who want full control over whatever small player base the game will achieve. If they can't completely wipe out and steal everything a player/group has done while playing from day 1, they don't want the game to even exist.
You are better off playing Life is Feudal - Your own, thats what got me to try this one anyway.
Literally the same game but with a smaller map. The big world map sounds good untill you get to play it and its also the only excuse for having "MMO" in the title.
Everyone already abandoned this turd once and went back to playing Your Own and even now, that version has more online players than this on steamcharts which begs the question if the people behind it have been dropped on their heads as children.
you fools should give the game without subs to those of us who contributed to its development when we PAID for the DAMN THING!! in that way at least u would have a player base to test new features and build trust AGAIN!! and charge NEW players with subs or very low price to fund the operation!! why would we bother paying a sub if we already bought the game before!!!, u people are dumb and have no business sense, now u will end up without all, I bet the game will shut down again, I bet UR GAME !! oh yeah, and on a side note, SUBSCRIPTION? LIKE REALLY?? in its current state??
Don't bother. The game in its current state is little more than an online city builder sim. The video posted to the store has more to do with aspirations that working features.
Trade happens through a trade house building. You don't move product. You place it in an AH type store that you can build on your claim and sell it that way. Or, you just trade with the "Crown" - which is just a faceless NPC without a presence in the game. There's no way to assail cargo shipments or anything of that nature. You certainly can trade with other people face-to-face, but no one really does.
The PVP battles in the video are virtually nonexistent. Claims are invulnerable outside of what is referred to as "judgement hour". It's a really convoluted system that makes it just about impossible for players in different time zones to engage one another. It can also be abused. Most players are in EU. All they need to do is set their time zones to NA or China and they usually don't have to worry about raids unless people are willing to stay up until the wee hours of the morning to attack. Then there's the fact that it is possible to build bases that are invulnerable to siege in the first place because the devs have catered more to the PVE turtles than any other type of player.
The reality of this game is a smattering of perma-ghost towns that are invulnerable to siege in the protected "green zones", where PVP is outlawed completely. The PVP "red zones" are inundated with massive guild owned fiefs that are pretty much uninhabited and completely uninteresting to anyone except for the turtles that reside within them.
You'd think that such a game would at least offer some resistance with a slow progression curve, but you'd be wrong. Most of the skill tree can be completely unlock in 5 to 7 days. The rest will be completed in two to three weeks after that. There's no need to establish any sort of castes within guilds given that accounts can have 6 characters each, and the passive leveling system means that those alts will continue to skill up even if they aren't being used.
The worst aspect of all is that the community is made up of little more than a collection of man-babies with irrational, emotional attachments to their pixels. Anyone that suggests anything that stands a chance at opening this game up to a broader community and unleashing its potential is relentlessly shouted down.
Do yourself a favor. If this game is at all appealing to you, then just go and buy Life is Feudal: Your Own and play that with some of your friends. It has been abandoned but it does share the same code base as this game and is almost in complete feature parity with it. There are a few buildings available in the MMO that you can't get in YO, but they are few and don't even work properly. You'll have a lot more fun playing by your own rules than you will suffering the insufferable clowns that actually play this game on a regular basis.
