its fun atleast, you can play single player or multi player, but my Pc computer crashed 3 times under 2 hours while playing single player

game seems good but i wanted the option to play solo in addition to multi, but it crashes on alt-tab, it doesn't pause when you change focus in solo, and the bots are absolutely braindead useless and easily the absolute worst i've ever seen in any co-op game like this

Great game but the bots are just about utterly fucking useless. Seriously the AI can't even handle basic difficulty you're basically playing alone. Requires friends.

The AI was doing good at launch, now it's total garbage. If you plan to play solo, forget this game.

Update: Extinction mode was a free DLC and has a weekly map rotation. But if the rotation includes only other DLC maps like the Zeke one, then you basicly cant play it that week.. Nice game design.

This is one of the best zombie games I have ever played, in terms of gameplay it is also very good.

Consistently crashed at the end of each mission. Would sometimes allow completion of one mission but several times would crash multiple times in the same mission and have to rejoin lobby when playing with friends. Great game and would love to be able to play it if possible.

A large campaign, interesting and varied maps/settings, with fun class and weapon progression. A good time with a group or solo.

It's an adrenaline-inducing game, and even on easy, you'll have a hard time. I refunded it because I knew it'd be free on Epic, and my hunch was right.

they keep breaking the ai with updates. Zombies spawning in front of you, AI teammates not shooting the zeke, bad hitreg. I loved this game when it released for xbox but over the years it's turned into buggy slop. there's better games out there if you need to scratch that itch. this one isn't worth the headache.

The game is very good but its hard to kill special zombies and tghe story are very short even the bots in your team doesnt even know how to shoot and when you are down and there are over 1k zombies around the bots instead of focusing to kill the zombies they revives you instead of focusing,they cant even get better.

Horde mode is fun and you can find match very fast

World War Z can be described as the game that did so many things right, yet forgot to really create compelling reason for the player to keep playing. This is a game that is clearly inspired by Left 4 Dead, but unlike the original zombie coop shooter, this game really fails to live up to the epic gameplay that it needs to really have.

Special enemies for instance don't really divide and conquer a team, rather they just apply brute force to it. Sure the Lurker or Bull might pin a player down, requiring a teammate to help; assuming said player doesn't have some skill to alleviate the problem themselves. The Infector might spit on you, causing you to have to focus on disinfecting yourself, and the Gasbag might deny you an area to work in. Most of the other specials though are about buffing the horde (Screamer and Booster) and causing massive damage or discord if not dealt with (Bomber and Juggernaut).

Then there is the Rat Pack. I guess that could be described as this games version of the Witch, but they aren't as creative, and you can't sneak past them usually. There really isn't any sort of 'Tank' type enemy to deal with either, making the game feel like it lacks a boss like encounter that Left 4 Dead had.

This also feels like a game that requires a lot of investment to really get to the good stuff too. Most of the classes and weapons in this game require upgrades to get the best out of them, meaning a lot of slogging through missions to get those perks. You won't really be able to properly experience a class or weapon until you do the work prior.

Overall, I wasn't impressed with this game. It reminds me heavily of those games in the 1990s and 2000s that were there to take some IP and just make a game from it. It does have a lot of the nice modernties that gamers would want from a game, but it just doesn't have the good gameplay of the classics that goes with it.

The Bots are the biggest thing that make this game less than enjoyable. They hang back and let you trigger everything, then get preoccupied with zombies when you are downed. They are constantly trying to position 2 feet from you, if not in your player model. They pass in front of you incessantly, soaking up bullets then complaining. They announce special enemies but, don't do anything help full about them. The Bots all stick to a singular player and at random terrible times swap to another, abandoning one player to a mob. Valve really set a high bar, when they made Left For Dead 2.

This game is one of the most repetitive games I have ever played. It always goes like this, STEALTH, BIG HORDE, STEALTH, SMALLER HORDE, QUEST, END. Sure it can be fun at some moments, but I cant handle the same thing every damn level. 4/10

Fun game the normal campaign is similar to Left For Dead but you can choose from classes and is rpg.
The Horde mode is like Nazi Zombies but you have classes you can choose from and is also rpg. If you like either of the two games I do recommend this game.

they make the characters different heights so all aren't the same height.

make weapon customization better.

add more weapons.

add a communication wheel instead of tapping buttons.

add a scroll to switch weapons.

add more/better perks.

make so Bull And Juggernaut doesn't have a big radius of their charge and take corners like a race car.

Great co-op zombie game with massive swarms, good game mechanics and optimization.

Fun co-op zombies game to play with the boys. I love the swarm mechanics and personally I prefer it over Left 4 Dead, just wish my gaming gang would play it more.

Good Graphics smooth game play even on low end PC. Would definitely recommend

the game is good but it lacks player like it takes a few minutes to be matched with other players and the worst part it, some players leave midway of a game or will leave in the middle of a horde like seriously? left 4 dead is scarier thank this if you ask me specially if a tank is coming towards you. i got startled if a lurker suddenly jumped at me but everything else is meh. not scary but still its fun. hope you fix the part where i will matched up immediately with other players the moment i click the match

If you just want to shoot zekes like a madman, here's your games especially horde mode. I like also the fact that you need some stealth here as loud noises from guns will definitely attract zombies. Just a warning as well, some new players may get overwhelmed by the classes but it's ez to understand. Another thing is if you're feeling off, it's probably you just need to have like a feel of the game. Try easy mode to get the hang of it. If it's still the same, it's probably not the game for you. I'm having fun with this game as I'm playing with my buddies. OVerall, game's great imo

i love zombie shooting games and this has to be one of the best games to ever exist on the face of the earth

I played this game when I had no motivation and I was in a bad mood and I started killing zombies. It made me feel better and the game is simple. Much better if you play with friends.

need more player in pvp mode, sadly it's really long to queue the match :(

Fun co-op horde game, and we don't have many of those! If you like Vermintide or Left 4 Dead, maybe Back 4 Blood, you'll like World War Z. It's very simple to get into and can dial up to a satisfying challenge at the highest difficulties with modifiers.

Performance is buttery smooth on all ultra settings for me with a 4060. Runs like a 2006 game but with insane horde density and great textures and animations. Feels highly optimized.

Great variety of weapons and character appearances. Not a ton of cosmetic alternatives for each character.

Melee-focused playstyle is actually viable. Woohoo! I get tired of shooters and always want melee gameplay. There's a bunch of melee weps to use here. It's not a rich melee system with parries or lights/heavies, sadly, but it's got smooth combo chaining reminiscent of Arkham and Assassin's Creed combat.

You WILL need a High End GPU to play this game. There's too many zombies for the GPU to calculate and run smoothly. I love the game with all its glitches. Highly recommend it.

It's a fun game. If it's on sale, absolutely grab it. If it's not? It's worth it if you want a different co-op zombie horde shooter to play. But you're far better off waiting for a sale tbh.

If you enjoy Left 4 Dead and games like it you are going to have fun with this.
Its the same concept 4 survivors either in single player or co-op fighting through a ton of zombies
It has a ton of guns along with a perk upgrade system and classes
runs smooth and plays nice
no story really to speak of its just like L4D in just kill a bunch of zombies move to the goal and repeat
has the same class of zombies L4D had like the tank and some other variation of he others
I do like that they made it so the tank isnt hear as spongey and takes a 2000 rounds to put down
You do get a great number of zombies charging at you at once which is really nice
worth a pick up if this kind of game is your jam

casual zombi shootter, good co-op exp. I will get DLC maps for future to continue playing. some functions (turrets, traps, fences are designed to be installed static by developer). SO IF you are looking open world and open mind way of playing this has some issues with that. Otherwise good casual game for few evenings.

I haven't played many hours and I have only played solo, so my experience may be unique. Though from what I have played it feels like there's too much focus on gun and class progression, which feels way too slow. You're also locked on the amount of XP you can gain on each gun until you level it up with credits you earn from completing levels, slowing the progression down even more.
Objective has pretty much only been stand and defend points, making the maps all feel the same.

Shit bots, way to many grind shit to do that it needs to much dedication way more than an mmorpg that is saying is alot, lack of mod support and tone deaf response to fixes in general and bugs that they don't even bother to check at all, lack luster dlc maps

Bought it on sale and definitely worth it. I've been playing weekly with my 3 brothers so it's been fun for me. Definitely enjoying the stories, characters and maps. Coming from a long time L4D/2 player, I'm enjoying the mechanics of the game and little quests you get to do. Hope to see more updates and maps in the future!

Played around 5 and a half hours on Multiplayer and I've enjoyed it.

It can sometimes be hard to find other players to play with, but if patient you get there.

A pretty solid A to B zombie game. At first I thought "wow this game is dumb, what is new? Then I saw the horde rolling down from the hills and buildings. Hundreds of zombies up in my grill trying to eat my meat. Then I knew, this game is pretty good.
I say "pretty" good because there are some bugs still that have apparently been there since launch. Clipping and teleporting zombies and stuff like that. Also the bots are absolutely Forest Gumps. Probably the worst AI for any zombie game I can think of. I always play with my wife so if we had a couple other trusted individuals to fill the other two slots it wouldnt be a problem.
There is some slight progression and customization but not much. The maps are actually very short most of the time. Going through after doing it once only takes about 10 minutes for some missions. There are 5 difficulty levels so theres alot of replayability in terms of challenge, but not for seeing new things. Also the cosmetics are very sub-par. A knew hat or a new color. The guns You get a sight and a grip. Wow.
Seems a bit cash grabby with the short maps and constant tiny expansions with new cringey characters.
But when a horde comes cresting down the horizon theres no feeling like it in any other multiplayer game.
Days Gone may have a similar feeling but that one is single player.
Simply I would say this is a multiplayer Days Gone with Left 4 Dead mechanics.

Great game I love playing Medic all the time helping the team survive. Devs still adding content on it and Its so satisfying wiping out hundreds of zombies on this game! Definitely recommend online or playing it with some friends as it is more fun and it is the best possible way to enjoy this game. And yes it's also doable for 2 people on extreme difficulty.

i loved playing this game big variety of weapons and characters and the zombie hord system is so cool with many many map all around the world in different cities .... i played with bots i bet it is much better with friends

I mean the game is ok but without friends youre stuck with randoms (if anyone is even queueing) and it isnt region specific so I often get people who don't even speak english. DO not waste your money unless you have buddies to play with.

One of the best hack n slash zombie games ever , although the story aint even ab 12 hours long, n yall only get 4 episodes for the standard edition, but overall , its pretty decent n multiplayer mode is even better than singleplayer, que time takes less than 5 mins , n each match feels unique , incase yall wondering if it gonna get boring after a while, n i rate it 9/10

I really like this game, nothing better than facing hordes of Zombies and trying to survive. The characters are varied so you'll find one that suits your play style. Prestige a character boosts your available skills and equipment as does upgrading your weapons for increased damage. There is a good variety of maps and plenty of challenges within. The difficulty levels also provide a real challenge to complete maps on a higher difficulty.

I started off playing solo and soon learnt that it's a slow process levelling but I did get more familiar with the maps and how to succeed. Lately I have opted for public games and especially horde mode which is real fun. Finding groups is not so bad either due to a cross platform system so frequently I will be teamed up with various console and PC gamers. This doesn't really affect things at all. I have had the occasion game crash but not to a point where it puts me off playing.

In all, this is a great game and worth grabbing especially when discounted. I would like to see more maps released plus special zombies. 8/10 from me :)

A bit buggy and very grindy but spectacular horde shooter. If you're looking for endless overwhelming swarms, this game is for you. There are only 3 survival maps, but they are fun, and difficulty scale with number of players. There is no pause but your progress save after every wave you survive. Feel free to quit the game any time. What you grind is skill tree and gun upgrades. Become the ultimate survivor.

Some people prefer Killing Floor, but to me KF feels slower and cringe with their clown theme events. In KF I can pop heads whole game. In contrast, here you can hold full-auto fire mode and fail to stop one direction of swarm. You have to think of a way to cheese zombies around you to slow them down. You can use fences, elevations, windows, electric and razor wire traps to avoid sudden death or failure. Also, you look after turrets that run out of ammo and break. Between swarms you can scavenge area for supplies and heavy weapons.

The essential class for survival at late game is Fixer. You'll need at least 1 Fixer to provide cheap ammo supply with damage boost. And support type Fixer can choose masking gas grenades and protect whole team in a complete disaster.

Great game.. only downside, the DLCS should have been included with original game as the 4 main story missions can be quickly completed... all together, this game is great fun and a nice break

if you like left 4 dead 2. You will like world war z. i played 819 hours on xbox series x. and its very replayable there is perk class to level up all way to 999. also there is weapons level for each gun in the game.

It's a great game, fun and full of content. It's better to play with friends or people you already know. But having cross-play increases the chances of finding a good team to play with and make the game more enjoyable. Since its release, there have been many improvements and a wide variety of weapons and characters; the only downside is that you have to play quite a bit to level up the weapons and classes.

This game is so worth getting! It still has an active community of players who have been super helpful in teaching me how to play. There are a few things of note though, because this game is from 2019 almost everyone is level 999 and if you join a lobby as a level 10 you will either get teamkilled or kicked if you don't know anyone. I recommend joining the WWZ discord and saying you're new and need a group to play with. If you don't feel like doing that you can always play missions offline with bot teammates but be warned it will be significantly more difficult this way. Another thing that really sucks is everyone is level 999 partially because people post save files online of max accounts that people are then able to inject into their own steam/epic games. This is why you'll often see level 999's with full blue frames that are worse than your average level 50 player.

Any co-op mode will disconnect you a minimum of 2 times per round; it is a well-known glitch that has never been patched. Its fun otherwise, if you like broken games.
