Разработчик: Valve
Half-Life.
Steam.

Độ má game này chỉ có ngon ở chỗ là Witch, mẹ kiếp mỗi lần chơi game mà gặp nó là tao ngồi sục suốt 45 phút rồi xuất tinh chây chét tùm lum khắp bàn, mẹ game hay chất lượng!!
Ive Always heard stories about this series so i decided to give it a try and i love it. im years late on this game but man does it bring you back to the old arcade style games.
i played this game as zoey and this was the most painful experience i have ever had trying to solo this game on single player on expert with sexist ai teammates that refuse to revive me when i go down and dont protect my back when i lead in front, louis always stops reviving me midway to revive bill or francis , "francis startled the witch" "francis startled the witch" "francis startled the witch" about 8 times or so in a row , they throw a Molotov at my dying body , bill goes down every second and always run the opposite way from me but the ai follow bill and not me for some reason they die i die we restart
11/10 would love to get humiliated by ai again
Would buy l4d2 first then this. But a UTTER clasic. Would 100% recomend you buy this (If you have the spare cash)
The shooting experience is unpleasant and the bullet impact is not sufficient.
Here's a quick review of my thoughts after beating "Left 4 Dead" on the PC.
+ Graphics are really good. Valve cooked with the source engine. It looked amazing back then and still looks killer today.
+ Atmosphere fits the game well. Everything looks exactly how it would look in a zombie apocalypse but it thankfully doesn’t go over the top with decor as to distract the player when this is a game where every second counts.
+ The main four characters are just an enjoyable bunch. Lots of character specific dialogue and interactions between them. And thank goodness they’re not a bunch of scaredy-cats freaking out over every zombie. That would be annoying.
+ Levels are lots of fun. Most are pretty unique from each other while the gameplay stays pretty much the same. “No Mercy” was personally my favourite just for the hospital part. That had a killer atmosphere to it, lemme tell you.
+ Combat… who doesn’t love shooting zombies, more zombies, and then even more zombies? All the guns feel good and are unique to each other, special weapons like the pipe bomb and Molotov are a blast to use (see what I did there?), and just the feeling of mowing down hundreds of zombies at a time is awesome.
+ Multiplayer is lots of fun. Playing online can be a blast. This is helped by the vast different amount of community servers and mods this game has.
+- Difficulty is alright. Even on normal difficulty though the game can be hard. Make sure you work as a team to get things done. I did have to change the difficulty down from “normal” to “easy” on the final level to beat it but I guess that’s understandable. There are also no checkpoints for levels, but, 90% of the time, you won’t die if you know what you’re doing.
Overall quality of experience: 9/10. I Really Liked this game. This game is awesome for one reason: there’s no gimmick to it. It’s just shooting zombies. That’s it. Now, that does mean that this game won’t be for everyone due to the extreme simplicity of it (I even met someone at my job that said they hated the game). Overall, though, if you want something that is fun, simple, addicting, and has great multiplayer, get this game… and its sequel too. Review for “Left for Dead 2” coming out next.
A great predecessor to the widely known Left 4 Dead 2, started the franchise off well and introduced a ton of core gameplay mechanics and has hundreds of hours of gameplay packed into this 7.5 GB game.
A must-play for zombie video game enjoyers, it'd be surprising if you haven't already.
very good, although old still gives you a good laugh and scare
the average black friday in other words louis stop startaling the witch you fuck or in other words aw man this is just like counter strike
Only 4.5k Hours in, safe to say its worth. Way better than left4dead2 too btw, cleaner feel to it competitively anyways .
I played this game for hours on console and preferred it to the second game, atleast on Xbox
A classic
But since we are on pc
Get the second one
It’s much better here
This is a magnificent game and very fun and addicting. Playing Solo or online it is a trip.
Ever wanted to know what it’s like to survive a zombie apocalypse with three of your friends? Well, Left 4 Dead has the answer: you won’t survive, and your friends will probably leave you to die because “they needed the health pack more.”
At first glance, Left 4 Dead looks like a simple game about surviving endless waves of zombies with your friends (or blaming them for your untimely death). But dig a little deeper, and you’ll find an emotional undercurrent that sneaks up on you between the chaos and carnage.
Valve doesn’t need elaborate cutscenes to tell its story. The environments do all the talking, Left 4 Dead are dripping with subtle storytelling. Scrawled graffiti on safehouse walls reveals snippets of the world’s collapse—pleas for help, desperate warnings, or final messages to loved ones. Each campaign feels like a glimpse into a world that’s already lost, making your small acts of survival feel that much more significant. Take a moment to read those notes, and you might find yourself wondering about the people who didn’t make it out. It’s a sobering contrast to the adrenaline-fueled action.
From abandoned hospitals to eerie forests, the game’s environments ooze dread. The dynamic lighting, haunting sound effects, and creepy music create a constant sense of tension. Left 4 Dead uses light and shadow like a horror film. Flashlights illuminate just enough to help, but not enough to comfort. The dim glow of emergency lights or flickering neon signs creates an uneasy beauty.
Left 4 Dead isn’t about defeating zombies—it’s about the human spirit. It’s about finding strength in the people beside you, even if they just accidentally shot you in the back five minutes ago. It’s about laughing in the face of despair and moving forward when every safehouse feels like it might be your last.
pretty incredible how it holds up to this day, but ultimately outdated in the sense that L4D2 is the better option when it comes to knowing what L4D game to buy. it's got the same maps with a couple of touch ups, and it offers far more than what's given to you here. more weapons, more special infected, even more voicelines if I'm not wrong.
that out of the way, this is a great game, setting up the foundations for a sequel that somehow did better in just a year's time. the aesthetics and gameplay are top notch and teamwork actually yields results. even if you pick this up while you already have L4D2, this literally can't disappoint you either
Classic Legendary Game before the Legendary Sequel Game. Loved L4D1 as much as L4D2 in my childhood, always be in my top zombie games!
The original Left 4 Dead. Although its been living in the shadow of its sequel, it still provides the original concept of Left 4 Dead, its a horror movie styled zombie shooter for 4 players. Its simplicity and lack of Steam Workshop support forces you to play and experience the originality of what Left 4 Dead is, 4 survivors, 6 maps, 5 special infected, and no uncommon infected, just normal plain old zombies.
The gameplay is also easily understandable as the simple concepts and limited weapon options really lets the player figure their way around, and that is supported by the game's opening intro after booting the game. It is more than just a cinematic, it displays almost every game mechanic you will learn if you pay attention. And you will see in-game what you will watch in that opening.
I do recommend playing this game in co-op with friends instead of playing alone, as the AI in singleplayer was designed to be dumb by Valve to encourage players to play with friends instead of playing alone. And I learned that myself as the bots under perform when I play alone. In contrast to the Left 4 Dead 2 bots which act a bit more competent especially with bot mods to enhance their AI. The only smart thing the bots do in Left 4 Dead 1 is walking slowly and away from the Witch infected and keeping distance from her. And that is important because disturbing the Witch leads to drastic consequences. Although it gets annoying when the Witch is in a narrow pathway and one of you has to disturb her or kill her. In contrast to the L4D2 bots whom just run up to her and leading to one of them being put on the floor/dying.
And the special infected bots are more aggressive and actually cooperate with each other in L4D1. I found them spawning in pairs and once a player falls in their sight, they strike immediately. And at times when they spawn together they can use strategies that can actually slow the survivors down. (Intentionally or not, sorta depends...)
In L4D2 they spawn one by one and take a delayed time to attack the survivors, they don't act smart neither as they tend to try and run up to the survivors before striking. In the original Left 4 Dead, they actually use the current map's design to their advantage. Exploiting corners, alternate routes, covers, and height advantages against the survivors.
If you are looking for an alternate or the original Left 4 Dead experience, the original is always available for you.
It is a game that doesn't need that much background it is a fun game with interesting monsters/infected.Fun gameplay and most of the time good players and lots of replay-ability.
Simple Games Which Doesn't Require Any Skill or Tutorials. Just Run and Shoot. Kind in Mind While Playing Don't Scare the Witch.
Left 4 Dead: Game of the year edition. This was one of my other favorite game from my childhood, I loved the atmosphere it gave, the dark vibes, the entire story plot and characters. Thank you, Valve for childhood memories ❤️
Reminder: The game for modern systems doesn't function properly anymore, stuttering, fps drops, freeze crashes, you name it. It's due to Valve abandoning the game and leaving it to rot.
I highly recommend L4D and it's sequel. While Left 4 dead online has a few players, the story/campaign is fun to play by yourself, just understand that the Tanks are very hard to kill, as they are strong enough to lift concrete. Overall, highly recommended.
It's a very simple game, but it's ridiculously fun, especially when played with friends.
It's one of those games that created a genre, and that survived through the ages.
Your goal? Survive. You and your friends. It's incredibly fast paced and brutal.
Game Director was still new in those days, and it still feels amazing even to these days! The game is dynamically adjusting the difficulty so that the playthroughs always feel slightly different.
Graphics and some mechanics feel a bit old and dated, but the game is just so much fun that it won't be that much of a bother.
This is one of my boys and my favorite zombie game. Fast paced with a ton of zombies to kill. Has 4 or 5 unique zombies to kill that show up throughout the game. The four man team regardless of 1 or more players is great. The witty banter and dialog is great. The main game and all the DLCs are great. Always look forward too playing this game with family or alone.
this is the zombie game that started it all, a true classic. only game better is Killing Floor2.
Left 4 Dead is a chaotic zombie fiesta where shooting feels great, and your friends accidentally set you on fire (with love, of course). Sure, it gets a bit repetitive after a few hours, but who cares when you're too busy laughing at your buddy screaming, "IT'S JUST A WITCH!" right before dying?
A classic for fans of chaos, teamwork, and unforgettable disasters!
Left 4 Dead is an all around fun, time-killing, zombie classic. There is the occasional glitch or lag, but would it even be Left 4 Dead without them?
Had a good time playing this game, it's real fun :) I just wish there more people in the online servers :(
Fun zombie shooter game that still holds up to modern day, not much else to say about it other than what's already been said.
big fan since 08, back then played it on the xbox 360. They made the game backwards compatible all the way to the series x/s. i have been playing on console since forever and now here i am on PC. legendary game.
Fun game at it's core, but can get rather repetitive. Certain aspect make gameplay less fluid and combat less enjoyable, but it's not enough to make me say that I would never play this again once I finish it. Good game overall, but you might need modded servers to have a slightly more enjoyable time.
One of the best zombie-horror-coop games I have ever played!
Highly recommend to play with friends. Even in 2024 it's worth to buy.
Low graphics but good game to play with your friends! Just try it!
One of the best multiplayer shooters. Lots of replay value.
love it tbh i get addicted to it. yeah i play l4d2 but there's something richly nostalgic about the og even though ive been playing both since they've come out. honestly pretty relaxing idk why take that with a grain of salt thank u for coming to my ted talk
I got this game as part of a bundle during a sale, I've played loads of L4D2 on the Xbox (alone and with friends) but never actually tried the first one... UNTIL NOW!! the game's a great laugh, character conversation can be quite entertaining to listen to when in the safe rooms, the weapons are fun to use when taking on hordes of the undead, if you get the chance to play this with friends I'd say absolutely do it as the experience becomes hundreds of times more fun! the game might be a few years old now but it is still very much a classic that is definitely worth playing.
Only bad thing I can say about this is the that the AI can sometimes be a little bit... simple.
Upon going down whilst taking on one of the special infected you can come across (The Tank) then another character also going down at the other side of the street the remaining AI couldn't decide what to do and kept taking steps backwards and forwards until eventually one of us died THEN the proceeded to move correctly. Fast forward a few missions and we are running for the safe room to grab ammo and first aid items, we go to close the door to keep the infected out and notice one of the AI is still really far away and stuck walking into a wall, upon going back to try help him we get swarmed by zombies and he gets killed. 94% of the time the character that broke was Louis, the remaining 6% was Francis just standing there menacingly for a moment or Boomers spawning in the air just to fall and perish (which was honestly really funny to see and i wish i'd managed to record it)
I've played this game since I was 5 years old, and I highly recommend. I think this is the best co-op zombie game and offers a very fast-paced, sometimes difficult experience with fun and challenging achievements to obtain. This game is not as good as Left 4 Dead 2 but still has its charm and I remember it as the game I've grown up with. I've played with strangers, close friends, and have made friends in this game which makes it such an enjoyable experience. With funny glitches, great map design, and Valve's unique art style this is one of my favorite games and is my favorite co-op game.
Classic Zombie Co-op FPS Fun. Sadly quite a dead game now (no pun intended) i missed the hay days of this game however still find it enjoyable and even gives games made now in 2024 a run for their money, which is kind of sad. Definitely would recommend picking this up if you miss old-school FPS Games or Co-op.
I have't in any way experienced this game in the way it was intended, I played it alone. But despite that I still found it incredibly enjoyable, would reccomend.
Best game to still live I been playing it since day one when I was 9 and now 24 plz try it with friends i promise u it will be fun
This is a strange game to recommend. It's a fantastic zombie game and an even more terrific co-operative shooter to bond with your friends over. But It's hard to say that it's worth playing this when left 4 dead 2 exists.
I
used to go back to this because of balance and style. What I mean is the pool of infected and the weaponry. I miss not choosing melee all the time. I loved using duel pistols the majority of the time against the common infected then whipping out my primary to take care of a special infected quickly. That's something I really love in this game. But you can just make changes in L4D2 to make it like L4D1.
I can't give this game a bad review simply because its successor is perfection on perfection. This is still a perfect game.
Pedazo de juego, lamentablemente el multijugador está ultra muerto (sólo un server en versus).
Ha envejecido bastante bien. Qué decir de la estética y del gameplay: Gran estética, mecánicas Valve-tásticas.
11/10
THis game is very fun yo. i never have played it with freinds, cuz they dont have computer, but this shiii is fun as hell. you should definelty play it. ye get to kill mucho zombi nibba.
Introduction
Released in 2008 by Valve, Left 4 Dead became an iconic entry in the cooperative shooter genre. It revolutionized the way players approached team-based survival games by merging horror elements with fast-paced action. In this game, up to four players must work together to survive against endless hordes of zombies and special infected creatures. The game's innovative AI, dynamic difficulty system, and atmospheric design made it an instant hit and gave it a lasting influence on subsequent zombie games.
Gameplay Mechanics and Team Cooperation
Left 4 Dead emphasizes team play and cooperation as essential to survival. Players take on the roles of "Survivors" with distinct personalities, but no character possesses unique abilities, focusing the game more on player skill and strategy. The game's AI Director adds layers of unpredictability by adjusting the spawn and difficulty levels based on players' performance, which keeps the game fresh and challenging. Health packs, ammo, and special weapons are spread throughout the levels, encouraging players to explore and strategize.
The AI Director and Dynamic Difficulty
One of Left 4 Dead's standout features is its "AI Director." This dynamic AI system tailors the game to each player's experience, controlling the timing and location of enemy spawns and resource availability. This ensures that no two playthroughs feel identical. The AI Director ramps up the tension during calm moments, maintaining an intense atmosphere where danger can appear at any time, forcing players to remain vigilant and work together constantly.
The Horror Atmosphere and Immersive Design
Left 4 Dead successfully builds a horror atmosphere that feels tense and engaging, thanks to its dark, gritty visuals and haunting sound design. The moans of zombies, eerie music, and sudden ambushes keep players on edge. The game's level designs emphasize a claustrophobic, apocalyptic world, often forcing players into tight corridors or abandoned cities filled with lurking dangers. This atmosphere is one of Left 4 Dead's strongest points, combining visuals and audio cues to immerse players fully.
Conclusion
Left 4 Dead 1 remains a classic cooperative survival game, providing players with a dynamic, intense experience that keeps them coming back. Its innovation in AI mechanics, engaging atmosphere, and challenging cooperative gameplay have helped it stand the test of time. Despite the release of its sequel, Left 4 Dead 2, the original game still has a devoted fanbase and is regarded as one of the most influential games in the zombie genre.

Unplayable AI
Final mission literally impossible without sweating shorting out my pc from watching the AI literally do anything
Some of my most cherished co-op gaming memories involve L4D. Set in a post-apocalyptic world infested with walking dead, up to four players can team up and attempt to navigate through levels to reach saferooms, and eventually an extraction point. These episodes are distinct and have a movie-like presentation. Each character has their own quirks, and personalities, and the banter runs the gamut from sombre to hilarious. Along the way there are plenty of obstacles such as hordes of zombies, varied "special infected" with unique abilities, and environmental puzzles to solve. While the plot is simple enough, the incredible level design, atmospheric visuals and soundtrack, and exceptional pacing make this experience truly thrilling with each and every playthrough. The replayability is astounding, as there are so many variables that change with every run. Teamwork underscores the gameplay, and is of the utmost importance to helping your team survive. Rescuing a teammate from zombies, healing each other with medkits, fighting off furious zombie hordes, and holding off against the formidable Tank or frightening Witch are just some of the elements showcasing the importance of cooperation and communication. I can't begin to describe how many nail biting moments I've experienced along the way. L4D, although shadowed by its sequel, stands the test of time and is truly a classic.
Childhood classic jumped onto the PC version, lots of fun! So fun to play with friends online too n not have the restrictions Xbox might have brought
*Left 4 Dead* is a cooperative first-person shooter set in a zombie apocalypse, emphasizing teamwork and survival. Players choose one of four survivors, each with distinct personalities, and face relentless zombie hordes across various campaigns. The AI Director adjusts enemy spawns, ensuring each playthrough feels fresh and challenging. Weapons and health supplies are scattered throughout, but teamwork is key to survival, as straying can be fatal. The game's intense pacing, combined with well-designed maps and a variety of zombie types, makes it both thrilling and unpredictable, offering an exhilarating experience that rewards coordination and quick reflexes. The achievements are very funky and interesting too.
Very fun and scary. Old graphics makes it scarier.
The absence of melee weapons makes it more challenging, and in way... more realistic. Survivors without armor should avoid contact with the infected. Many prefer this one rather than L4D2, maybe you're one of those players. Great morbid atmosphere, interesting characters, smooth mechanics, easy to play... Buy it! 9/10
This is probably the single greatest zombie game out there outside of the Deadrising series
