beat boss at the top of mountain he dropped a spell and get right back up and didn't die. saved back at base... and now save wont load past 62 percent. well game was short but it was fun. The inability to replay and the loading bug make this a non recommend from me. That and the never dying boss and bugged story that doesn't update.
游戏有卖吗?如果可能的话,我和我的团队很乐意拥有所有权或购买源代码。
I like the game.I would like to see more feature. The design and spells system is very interesting. I enjoyed playing this game .
its very fun and challenging, the fortress guardian boss is very annoying to fight but once you get the right armor combo and some silver swords and any projectile spells it becomes relatively easy, also are the dev's still working on this? id like to see some more cool stuff in this.
I really like this game as It has lots of play ability.
Down side is the game seems to be abandoned now.
But on sale the game is still lots of fun depending on your play style.
Pro:
Good control system that you can custimize the keys you want to use.
Graphics are good for this style of game.
If you like building games you can build some big homes.
Sound effects are good.
And lots of creatures/animals some friendly and many not so much.
Different world seeds to choose.
Con's:
Music is bad and I have disabled/turned down to 0.
Game is abandoned as far as I can tell.
So I would say buy the game if on sale as it is fun.
This is a really lovely little game. It's clearly early access, so I was gutted to see that it's been in EA since 2017. A good game idea like this, combined with a talented developer which is clear straight away, counts for nothing once development loses momentum. I'd love to believe that this can become the game the dev had in mind, but I think building momentum again is going to be a challenge and it may be better for the dev to start a new project.
However I would recommend this game for the price, and look forward to seeing the dev put his talents to good use with the capital made from the sale of this one.
If you are a game collector or if you don't mind paying just to try a game then buy Alchemage since it's actually somewhat interesting ! Otherwise then rather than buying Alchemage then people ought to buy Terraria or Crea , or if they want something more quaint then Starbound or Aground...
Don't get me wrong ! , Alchemage actually have something to offer in it's own way, in as much as it is much better than e.g Samphi , an abandoned game of which it reminds me. But interface is far too 'clunky' (in lack of better words) and there are far too many annoyances that makes the game a frustrating experience. Like the following :
The game will allow you to assign keys that it will not respond to (numeric KB + - ) and more keys on keyboard can not be used to assign.
Character movement in some cases is 'clunky' , difficult or even impossible , e.g. getting out of water when attacked by Zombie in water.
Combat becomes a matter of synchonization (attack must be synchronized to be able to hit or not to be itself).
Cursor in some cases appear too difficult to track/see...
Game allows to have both Inventory and Crafting Window open at same time , and if using mouse wheel over Crafting window it will also move in Inventory window. And rather than just open Crafting window for what next to character then what opens depends on what cursor points at. The latter may actually possibly have some advantages (?) but still takes some getting used to for me at least.
I might continue to play the game some more now that I have paid for it , but I think the game too frustrating to recommend ! (sorry I have to say !)
P.S.
I have seen Alchemage described as a Terraria clone ,but to me it is more Starbound like..
This game is totally interesting, i love the item interaction, the bed, the bath and toilet. Wish Crea had it. Missing fishing. Although the game is great!
It's a good start - but that's it. I got through the first 4-5 hours and was left scratching my head wondering if there was some sort of end-game or other unique biome I hadn't found. The answer is No - it's a fun game for the limited amount of content present, but incomplete at the very least.
For some reasons game is moved out of early access without an announcement or anything.
+ Terraria-like clone: create character, create world, explore, kill, gather, craft, build, die;
+ Smooth animations;
- A lot of micromanagement: small inventory, small chests, lots of drops;
- Too dim palette: my eyes are getting tired very quickly;
- It's hard to distinguish background walls from solid blocks;
- Balance: some enemies are too hard and can spawning anywhere (charger on a lame, ghost what summons lots of skeletons, etc);
- Lack of in-game help: tooltips are pure cosmetic, tutorial is too basic;
- Quests don't give directions or hints;
- Combat is not polished: huge hitboxes, some enemies are way to hard to dodge or defend against.
Overall game is of a solid beta quality. It just need more time to develop and polish, which seems to be a real problem here. Buy at your own risk, no guarantees. Non-existent player base is a proof.
Great Game! Lovely soundtrack, I could listen to it all day, it's so calming!
When the game came in early and I saw it, it was all I wanted in a game, I love survival and mostly magic, it seemed too good to be true, so I bought it, I knew it would have bugs and it wasn't complete but I saw it potential and still see, I believe they have something big at hand and will go very far with the dedication of the creators so do not stop believing in your game. (Sorry i use the google translate haha)
alchemage is a terraria clone (not meant in a derogative way, just to make things easier), but sadly development had to stop, though there were a few smaller fixes after that, of bugs I reported after I started playing. I still recommend it if you're looking for similar gameplay in a different setting, it has great graphics and music, weather effects, zoom in/out, various settings (volume sliders, autosave interval, etc.), a map editor, multiplayer, creative mode, and so on. world generation is seed-based, so worlds can be easily recreated.
playing on easy means no corpse runs when you die, nor inventory loss, and I found it a lot more relaxing than terraria for some reason, even though I died similar deaths here at similar intervals, though respawning here is a lot faster, which definitely lessens frustration.
there's not that much content (not compared to terraria, which would be foolish, but in general), but still more than I expected. there's a decent amount of mob variety as well, friendly or hostile, alpacas can be tamed and you can ride them, even build stables for them. tons of items, materials and drops to gather, though not everything has a use, and the world is pretty big, can take dozens of hours to fully explore.
weapons and armor have durability, which I'm not a fan of, as you constantly have to make new ones, but there's enough resources, so it shouldn't be a problem, and if you have more of the same item type in your inventory, it'll be replaced automatically when one gets destroyed, a very nice touch.
movement is great, holding space makes you jump higher and double-tapping lets you sprint and continue sprinting even after a jump or changing directions. combat needs some getting used to, as melee is a separate key (or the middle mouse button) and when you're not using a spell, you'll be using that, as only skeletons have arrows, you can't make one, and wands with projectiles aren't that great. doors, chests, crafting tables and torches can be interacted with by pressing a key while the mouse is over them.
speaking of spells, there's more than a dozen, which I also found surprising, and the magic system in general is well-designed. you'll find magic stones and can learn spells from them (then break down said stones to use rune fragments for teleport stones and such), mostly fire-based, but there's ice and earth as well, plus teleport home, tornado, etc.
they use mana and also have 'durability', and once they're depleted (they last a good amount, I'd say), you have to have certain items in your inventory and type a spell into chat to recharge them, and after a certain amount of recharges they level up and become more powerful. just make sure to do a level-up in one session as the recharge counter resets when you quit.
alchemy items are either drops or can be crafted, but I found the crafting system a bit lacking. you have to hold the mouse button to make items, some take more time than others, and you can occasionally make more than you want if you're not careful. then there's the various crafting stations, which work relatively slowly (make sure not to leave extra coal in there as it'll be used up on nothing) and the recipes aren't always helpful.
e.g.: you'd think instead of a single mushroom and water you'll need 2 mushrooms and water for a tier 2 healing potion, but no, you need to combine 3 tier 1 potions. or 2 potions if it's mana, and sometimes they have a 3rd tier (not health though), which you might get by combining tier 2 potions, or not at all, besides finding them in chests. and often putting a tier 2 potion will start making a tier 1 version, so be careful.
there are also a few quests, mostly to tutorialize, I found them useful, and I liked how daytime on the surface is mostly safe, unless you literally run into a slime or provoke anything except an alpaca, falcon or bunny, which I wouldn't recommend early on, as some of them can cause a lot of damage. at night and underground it's a lot more dangerous, of course, and I loved how mobs fight each other, not just the player.
obviously, it's not a complete game and it never will be, nor is it a bug-free experience, but there's nothing that'd cause a huge amount of frustration, so if you're fine with exploring a new world for a few hours, finding all sorts of cool things, crafting and building for a while and possibly taking on a huge boss, which I couldn't defeat on my own, then I'd recommend playing it, possibly with others, but I had a lot of fun on my own as well, kept me entertained for about 20 hours, and I still had a lot of the underground unexplored, though I don't think I missed too many things besides one of the spells.
Updating the review. The game looks fun. At this time the development seems to have started again. If this continues I will re rate this. I gave it a thumbs down initially because the devs said the game was not going to be finished. Until I see that they really are committed to finishing this, I will keep the thumbs down.
Great game to get on sale and play with a group of friends, definitely a good terraria knock-off. Highyl recommend for casual fun.
It's prettier, pre-hardmode update/1.0 Chinese Terraria. If you're open-minded on early access games/are willing to give them a chance, why not get this? The devs keep adding improvements to it, so if you're on the edge about whether or not to get it keep an open mind then wait.
My only quibble is they haven't yet put in options for changing hair color yet.
First, a thanks to [57th] Stilgar, who pointed this game out to me. This title was overlooked by most of the community because the foreign company who made the title accidentally listed this in the wrong section and took my advice and changed it so many can now view its features. Had it not been for [57th] Stilgar, this title most likely would have died before getting off the ground.
Id rather not waste space describing what an Early Access title is. Look at my other reviews if you’re not sure. I only give bad reviews for abandonment, scamming – Selling a product, but charging more to use features advertised as coming with it and selling a title as complete when it is not even close to being completed. This title falls under none of these criteria.
For those who bought or are buying, or considering this game, until a fix is in, when you load the game up each time, it will be in Japanese. Click the gear on the right, then look in the menu on the middle right side, last option. Click it and you will see English. You will notice there is no apply button, so just click the square picture item with a tree in it on the left that says MAIN. That will apply the new settings, and all should be fine to go!
***ooo*** Alchemage Review ***ooo***
[h1] Alchemage is a mixture of features you would find in games like Terraria, Dig or Die, & Realms of Magic. You can build a home or castle, with basically no limits just like the others, as far as your imagination can take you. After the above comparisons, the game takes on a totally new life of its own.
Building is quite easy, and very smooth. There are very few bugs as of this writing. Plenty of Quests to do. Unfortunately, there is no full working tutorial, and the one in place is stuck in a bugged loop but was promised to be fixed by next update.
Being there are few workers on the project, content updates seem to be monthly, yet major bug fixes get taken care of almost immediately. Cainos, who is the developer of this game, is very nice and always open to suggestion. Please be patient with him, as English is not his main language, but he does try his best. When posting bugs, or suggestions, I highly recommend putting a screenshot in, which helps greatly in the communication gap. I'm devoting my free time to help him and also Zakharn from Realms Of Magic, another fantastic Sandbox game.
Alchemage is starting at $9.99 which is definitely the time to buy this title. There is plenty of things you can do in this game, quite a bit of content, and the map is huge, with plans to enlarge it as content is added. The price is planned to go up in the future as well.
One big plus, is the fact this game is already multi-player so you can run your own server and have friends and family join, and you don’t even have to know how to run one. Everything is already set up, you just have to decide whether you want to join someone’s game or host your own. Only thing you might need to do, is port forward if your not using windows 10.
The game also has a built in Creative mode, how to use it, Ill post information under spoilers. I highly recommend turning on creative mode the first time you play, because quite often then not, you end up spawning with monsters nearby who can kill you fast, so turning creative mode, at least when your logging in new for the first time, is highly recommended. I’ll add more to this later, below are the commands to turn on creative mode, plus other administrative features!
Insert key INS turns on all bright
Hm turns on creative mode which has a menu to produce every item, resource, magical artifact and more in game. It also allows for free movement, which is great for building and turns off monster targeting so you aren’t constantly fighting off monsters. You can also pass through walls and not drown.
PU key forwards time
Del key brings up monster and animal spawn menu
End key orders me a cheeseburger meal supersized! Ok, sorry, it doesn’t. I did request it though!
***I’ll add more information later as replies plus will include cheats and more on my channel soon! I highly recommend this title, before the price goes up!!! Please give a thumbs up of this review was helpful!!***
Very cute little game, I would recommend it however as a new player you liturally get thrown into the game (with of course quests) Mobs are aggro and don't give you a chance, I liturally died as soon as i got into the world and it takes a little time to kill them (if they don't kill you first)
Upon loading the game it bugs out. Half the map is missing and I can't move, I figured out that I have to wait at least 2-3 minutes for the map to fix itself and for me to move and do anything.
Hopefully in the future things would run more smoothly and there is some sort of a guide on how to do things.
I was a little iffy about the whole game but it was actually a fun game to play. I would say there isn't much content to begin with but if you just want to play a game at the end of the day to relax in. I would highly recommend this game. The game is very similar to Terraria. The game does have (i believe) multiplayer (or it might be just me since there's a high chance a lot of people might not have bought the game) and a whole line up of quest that can keep you engaged for hours but do understand, that this game is not fully developed. Most of the content is in English, however to read some of the stuff that is in the quest guide or some book. You will have to know how to read Chinese. (And sadly, it is not one of the languages I know). The game does have bugs such as item description being in the way of knowing what materials you need to craft it and magic missing at point blank range, but all over these can be easily fixed if you give the developers a chance to correct them. The game can run on practically any computer so you can always have the game on the go and the soundtrack is really enjoyable to listen to. If you are a student or a busy body, having the game run on the background while listening to the music is very relaxing in all honesty.
Anyways, if you believe the game is worth it. Buy it, try it, and if you don't like it. You can always just ask for a refund which it seems they are more than willing to do. If you do not want to try it, I understand. Everyone's tired of promises made by developers that have never come through.
Good luck and hopefully you enjoy the game.
A tombstone will be generated on the location where you DIE, which contains all the items from your inventory.
Go back to where you died and dig your own tomb to get you items back.
死的地方会生成一个墓碑, 你的背包里的物品都在那个坟墓里面, 得回去挖坟
