I loved this game but for yall to sue schedule 1 simply because they did it much better is ridiculous.
DDS was one of my favorite games. Have sunk many hours into several play through. Writing this review to express my discontent with the developers for going after a solo-dev with legal action for making a better game than DDS. This is bad for the genre. Competition within a genre is always good for the players.
To the DDS devs:
Make a better game that can compete in the market instead of trying to stifle the competition. DDS is riddled with typos in the subtitles. You didn't even take the time to polish this game and fix basic typos years after this game was released. The typos in DDS 1 are embarrassing, and unprofessional. DDS2 further solidifies my belief that this developer is simply lazy and doesn't actually care about making a fun and polished game for their customers.
Don't buy DDS or DDS2 until they drop their malicious lawsuit or investigation into Schedule 1, a game that simply did it better.
I have lost a lot of respect for MovieGamesSA. Sad, because DDS was a pioneer in this genre, and a game that I really enjoyed for many hours.
Trash game from a trash developer i never write reviews but maybe its time everyone rises up against developers trying to sue others when they make a better game.
semi good game but the team behind it is a bunch of bitches for suing a single person indie dev for their game being better than this glorified asset flip, dont buy this but if you have it or have a friend with this game write a bad review for it and any other games the devs have made
So apparently the devs of Drug Dealer Simulator are investigating Schedule 1 for copyright infringement. Seriously?
Let’s be clear: Schedule 1 isn't a clone, it’s just a better game in the same genre. That’s like claiming ownership over the entire idea of selling drugs in a game. What’s next? The first FPS dev suing Call of Duty, Fortnite, Apex Legends, and PUBG because they all involve shooting?
You can't copyright a gameplay premise. You can’t own the concept of "drug production." You can’t copyright an action. If you could, every car game would be in court with Gran Turismo. Every sandbox game would be under fire from Minecraft. It’s absurd.
Instead of trying to stomp out competition, maybe focus on making a game that people actually want to play. I own Drug Dealer Simulator—and I stopped playing it because Schedule 1 is just leagues ahead in terms of gameplay, creativity, and polish. Suing a game because it did what you did better isn't protecting IP—it's admitting that your game sucks.
I can't remember when I bought this game but I've sunk well over 100 hours. I decided to download it again to scratch my Drug Dealing itch but never got around to it, then out of the blue Schedule 1 comes out but I waited to see what the game is like and wow it FAR exceeds DDS 1 & 2. Then I find that Movie Games S.A. are suing Schedule 1 for being better I went and bought Schedule 1 in spite of this shit company. Uninstalling and adding both games to my "DO NOT INSTALL" group, learn to make a better game instead of making slop. Maybe instead of suing Schedule 1 why don't you guys learn from it and maybe, just maybe, your games wont flop and be an absolute mess.
EDIT: Wish I could refund both DDS 1 & 2, and then buy Schedule 1 for some friends of mine
was planning on getting the sequel but since they wanna be uptight assholes and try to fuck over a solo dev because of jealousy and greed , they can now go fuck themselves . eventually they will go from 400+ remaining players on DDS1 and the 803 remaining players on DDS2 to none . and it will just be a distant memory .
This was a good game, but I don't want to support greedy devs.
The developer on this game thinks they can sue another developer because they made a game revolving around making and selling drugs? Bro, you can't sue someone for using IRL concepts as a development idea. Does this mean that Metal of Honor can sue CoD because they made a game based in WW2 now?
Get ahold of yourself...
My local drug dealer was dealing drugs way before this game, they clearly copied the idea, I believe he is going to sue.
boring, repetitive, unoptimized, play schedule 1 <3
Game is so bad that they had to sue another game made by a solo dev that did the concept of dealing drugs 10x better. Overall this game is ass too.
Going after an indie dev for releasing a more successful game with a similar idea is absolutely criminal. This game is dog water, buy Schedule 1 instead of DDS1 or 2 any day of the week
Game is okay, but I cannot support Devs that bully and go after a single person indie Dev because they cant get their ego in check. Only people that lack integrity and honor would be upset at someone elses success. What I'm trying to say is that the leadership over at Byterunners are cowards.
A Review Reflecting on Recent Developer/Publisher Actions
While Drug Dealer Simulator 1 offered a unique premise that initially drew many players in, my current perspective on the franchise is unfortunately overshadowed by recent reports concerning its publisher/developer, Movie Games S.A.
It is genuinely disheartening to hear reports that Movie Games S.A. is allegedly pursuing legal action against TVGS, the developer and publisher of Schedule 1. The grounds for this reported action, centering on supposed copyright infringement due to similar game ideas or mechanics, strike many in the community as concerning. Game development often involves iteration and inspiration from existing concepts and mechanics; these elements themselves are typically not protected by copyright, which safeguards specific expressions like code or art assets.
What makes this situation particularly disappointing is observing the success Schedule 1 has achieved, even in its Early Access phase. It suggests players are finding significant value and engagement there. Rather than embracing healthy competition, the reported legal approach feels like an unnecessarily drastic and potentially counterproductive step, perceived by some as stemming more from a competitor's success than a genuine infringement.
Many fans who started with DDS1 have noted the reasons they are now turning their attention towards Schedule 1. There appear to be tangible factors driving this shift, likely related to gameplay features, development progress, or community engagement where players feel Schedule 1 currently excels.
Instead of allocating resources towards potentially divisive legal battles over broad concepts, it would perhaps be far more constructive for Movie Games S.A. to channel their efforts into refining and improving their sequel, Drug Dealer Simulator 2. Listening to community feedback, understanding why players are migrating, and addressing those factors directly within their own game's development would likely be a more fruitful path towards retaining fans and achieving long-term success.
Ultimately, while DDS1 laid some groundwork, the focus should be on positive future development and fair competition, not actions that risk alienating the very community the developers aim to serve. We hope to see a renewed focus on making DDS2 the best game it can be, addressing the factors that have led players to seek alternatives.
I still recommend this game, because I really enjoyed it, the music is dope, especially the intro, and the story is amazing. This game is the reason why I also love playing Schedule 1 so much.
Game sucks and the devs are scummy, need I say more? Make a better game instead of bullying indie devs for doing a better job than you.
i played 5 minutes of this game so i could say it was the worst 5 minutes of my life. Their discord mods and pr will ban you instantly upon having a sentence with the words schedule 1 in it (must be embarrassing to be beat out by a team of one LMAO). plus the legal action? just take the L? They act like shitty high school kids who are mad they you stated buying product elsewhere.
tldr. game is dogshite, no cars, no real fun. just another company who thinks they own a set genre of game and want to act like they came up the the idea of manufacturing and selling drugs. devs obviously from gated community
I haven't exactly cared much about this s*** since I stopped playing over numerous issues with, but now see that they're willing to sue a small indie developer over "copyright infringement" So here's an honest take on this hot f***ing garbage
I'll start by saying the lack of optimization puts a bullet in the core of this game like a sick dog. This game runs terrible, even with a 4070, this game still tanks no matter what. Not saying it can't achieve 60 fps, but the stuttering and shifting from 60-90 with anything above low in the graphics renders it close to visual vomit. Its frustrating more than anything to learn they release a graphic update or "overhaul" which did f*** all to fix this issue. And to say the visuals are bleak is generous at best. The colors lack any pop, reused assets everywhere, and this weird attempt at realistic, but failing every way.
Moving past that issue, the next complaint is this game is nothing more than a walking simulator with a 24 hour job. Its STRESSFUL and I didn't think I needed to experience that in this game more than I already do. Starting with customers, you can't offload they mountain of orders off to any dealer to clear the clutter. You just have addicts text your phone offering to sell your product, and the amount you gotta get them jumps by 2-8 times. It's not like you can just go and sell 1 or 2 products, you have to sell all kinds to make the best amount.
It's obnoxious having to pre pack a ton of product, accept a ton of deals across the map, run to them and by pass police checkpoints either using the f***ing sewers or parkouring over areas that are not intended to be. Run back and do it all over again, clear out the phone and requests, just to have fill up again in 20 minutes. A little to a bit of half the cash you make has to go back to your dealer buddy who works with the cartel and laundring your cash just feels like pissing it away even more since 50-70% of it comes back into your bank account.
To end off, the recent news about the lawsuit the developers are planning to drag out feels like a shallow and jealous move over the fact this s*** still fails to stick to the wall. You didn't come up with the concept of dealing drugs, real life or in the game. Claiming mechanics and UI is similar is another take I couldn't even come to understand even if I ate crayons for lunch. All UI is similar, its a f***ing game. And no, you didn't come up with dead drops, growing weed, mixing drugs, selling drugs, buying mixers from gas stations. This piss poor attempt of trying to take someone else's cake for doing better than you've ever done, for actually having more passion than a coma patient is sad, and will lead to the eventual downfall for this game and DDS2, but I don't think I needed to state that
Are both games similar? (Schedule 1 and DDS) Yes, but they both have their major differences. But suing them due to "Schedule 1 is too similar to the Drug Dealer Simulator series" and "Elements of the game’s plot, mechanics, as well as UI – User Interface." source Comes down to the logic of, no other game selling and dealing drugs should exist and yours should be the only one allowed in this universe. If you ask me that's pretty shitty, trying to sue a game because they're being more successful than yours ever has been Charts Charts(demo) No shade either, just a fact.
This entire thing is actually ridiculous, suing for copyright to try and hope their game gets de-listed so maybe people that are feining the game play loop of this will return to yours.
Also, asset flips are a joke👍
Your competition (schedule 1) is better. Accept it and build a better game instead of suing...
Nose candy
Fire spark up and play trustttt me
very wow
Just buy Schedule I
kinda boring, get schedule 1 instead
This game is good until a certain point where its just running around 24/7 and avoiding police, it gets old pretty quick
The Pioneer
This is the Original Schedule I, i just wish this was multiplayer cause it functions so much better and has alot more content, sad to see what they did to Drug dealer simulator 2 cant give it a positive review based on the money grab that is DDS2
Nnisti dawg
Good game for learning the basics of dealing and manufacturing drugs.
You ever wanted to sneak around at night and give random strangers drugs just because you can? Or tag an entire neighborhood with your drug enterprise symbol to show who owns everything? This is the game for you. Sell a wide variety of drugs while making sure to turn a profit, and in time start your own empire with your own dealers working for you. You can even cut the drugs with baking soda or other things to make more money
i cant seem to play this game the mouse cursor is like an inch above whatever your trying to click on ive unistalled multiple times and it does the same shit every time. every game i own works this is the only game with this issue its fucking annoying as fuck
Fait Deuspi
Schedule 1 is everything this game thought it was this company got greedy
its ight
Get Schedule 1, this game WAS good, but Schedule 1 just does it all better.
so fun
Not what I expected at all. Schedule 1 is much more what I expected. Game is a huge grind I don't recommend. When on sale it is 2 dollars so you really cant lose when its that cheap.
Best drug game i ever played
Go Buy Schedule I. This is the Game Drug Simulator always wanted to be.
Super dark with no brightness options, and there are no NPCs or cars wandering around the map. It makes the world feel creepy and lonely, I expected more.
w game
its one of the only like it
Ever wonder what it would be like to be a drugg dealer and work you way up the ladder, well this game is pretty damn good. get your kicks in this game without the risk of being really arrested.
Not a real Drug Lord.
This game doesn't let me save and the controls arent working
Very solid game, is quite janky and it feels like it's missing some bits, but the core game play is really fun even if it's just technically a fetch quest simulator if you think about it. Reviews for the second game make me want to only stick to this one, especially since this first game is left unfinished, but what's there is fun and done well enough to be fun. Getting it on sale was practically stealing it, it's easily worth 10-20.
Very good game. some things arent perfect, a few minor issues such as the last major update causing some performance issues but the story is good and the gameplay is good. it just kinda sucks theyve nerfed wee fareming and its so teedious now.
many things can be fixed with mods as its an unreal game (UE4.21) there are existing frameworks to mod the game easily and seemlessly. as far as i know new content cant really be added so to speak but nearly any ingame value can be
amazing game was having a blast until a game breaking bug happened, I looked into the bug and looks like its been a known issue since 2022.. i'm forced to start a new game. no point wasting your time on a unfinished game wast of my time... Devs should of fixed this instead they make a Sequel..uninstalling so i don't waste any more time, i was considering getting number 2 but im sure it will just be just as broken
After playing this a bit I can safely say that this is one of the worst quality, buggiest, underdeveloped games I've played. The police will find drugs on you despite there being none, there's random, pointless invisible walls in many places, you get arrested for actually nothing and it's just a design of the game??? I got it on sale and still feel like I was ripped off. DO NOT get this close to literal feces pile of a game.
This game is So for you, If you ever wanted to sell Drugs, only thing missing from this Game is getting High on your own Supply!!!
P.S When they Released this game they should have had free Samples of Crack to go with the game, People would have Been up for Hours playing this Game!!
The game has an interesting premise, at the beginning you are eased into the gameplay, learn the flow of the game, the dialogue is straightforward. From tutorial till you encounter other gangs, the gameflow will have a lot of routine, You sell during the night, then resupply, mix and do grafitti during the day, rinse and repeat.
Accessing new areas can be motivating, the whole city is split into three zones and each zone into multiple areas that require respect obtained through sales and grafitti but also requiring level.
There are three difficulties, you are able to switch between them, although they do not have a great impact, the police behave the same in all difficulties, you can hear them long before you see them. The "exposition factor" increases patrols, higher chance for DEA raids and your dealers to get arrested but as long as you do sales during the night and avoid patrols, the game will remain relatively easy.
On hardest difficulty I also noticed that you gain 10% more money during nights compared to easy difficulty, I also noticed that respect decay is higher, thus requiring more grind during the day by doing more grafitti. It can become very repetitive and feels like a filler activity when most of the interesting things you do is during night.
Crossing the zones with your products requires some planning and finding the ideal methods to smuggle for each zone. Eventually you will just stick to one method and ignore the other alternatives like for example using the sewage system since you can't use a large backpack, plus you have to lockpick multiple doors just to reach your destination and unfortunately the doors you unlock will become locked the next day.
On hard difficulty you can save once in 5 minutes instead of 1 minute, but that has no impact because saving can be done within a hideout and if you have multiple hideouts within a zone then you can easily make stops between them to save, especially if you plan to make 10-15 sales in quick succession.
There are around 10 types of products, but because of inventory space, you are encouraged out of necessity to pick one type of product that is most cost-effective and that can be sold in the first zone, then a second product for the richest zone, basically ignoring the other 8 products.
The endgame is entertaining, you should reach it in around 6-7 hours of gameplay and be able to finish it in maybe 1 or 2 hours.
Beyond endgame, you can continue expanding your business, getting new places, build labs, but in terms of achievements, a few of them would require a lot of grind. It is somewhat easy to sell a ton in around 20 hours if you build labs with the cheapest product and sell it at a cheap price.
Yet the OD achievement would be the most time consuming, tried different strategies from mixing with washing powder like the wiki recommended, also selling it in a pure form the expensive products, but was not fast enough. I had to get a mod to raise the OD chance because otherwise might have needed to spend at least 30 hours to grind for that achievement and hope that my mixes will ensure a highest probability for OD.
Overall would say its a 7/10 because it has a fun and unique idea for a game, but you can easily get fatigued by the gameplay routine. I also felt fond of the idea of making your own mixes to maximize profit, however the interactions with the cooking table, packaging products, using the sliders, select between product placement, equipment placement feels very clunky and there could have been other ways to design it in a more time-efficient manner.
Its a nice game, although would recommend to buy it at around 5 euro or less.
