A sweet casual game with adorable animals and sympathetic characters starring in an interesting story.
Was surprised myself by how much I enjoyed it.
Cute time management game - loved it!
There are six chapters (total of 60 levels) about the different phases of Amy's journey as a veterinarian working at different places. She has to make a lot of choices between what she wants and what others want from her. But you don't have to make all those choices for her. You just need to manage the place and work towards achieving the given goal on each level.
In terms of story and characters, there are no likeable characters for me. Maybe except Grandpa. Crystal is Amy's friend in the city. I find her quite annoying because she seems no daily work and every day calling or texting Amy to party. Jack is Amy's colleague. He seems like a nice guy, but the drawing made him looks weird. Not to mention Amy's clingy boyfriend Jasper, who seems has so much free time. The only time Amy has a spine is on Level 28. I have to bear with her rich boyfriend for most of the game. If I were Amy, I only love grandpa because he doesn't force me to do anything. Even Amy herself is also not a likeable character. She wishes Jasper moves on without even taking his call to ask for a breakup. And Amy got angry with Lisa, a caring and helpful girl instead of Crystal, who kept asking her to party, pushing her to live in the city and to be her roomie, and not wanting Amy to leave the rich boyfriend.
As for gameplay, the only thing I found frustrating is the mini-game - fasten the harness when working at the horse stable. Straps on the middle of the saddle are easier to tighten than those on the left side of the saddle. I found it hard to move or drag the strap to the left within the limited screen. I felt some mini-games were slightly tricky to finish within the given time to earn the maximum coins. Aside from that, there are not many challenges exist in the game. Even the difficulties that I mentioned about mini-games probably only happened to me. I think some people will probably ace those mini-games well if they are quick enough.
If you feel that you are not a good gamer, or maybe after finishing a challenging game and looking for a casual game, this game will make you feel that you are a great gamer. But if you are looking for a challenging game with more exciting stories or characters, you can look for something else.
When I was a little girl I always dreamed of being a vet. While that hasn't worked out, this games allows me to feel that dream a bit. I really enjoyed this game and got thoroughly invested in the plot, even a little teary. The minigames are fun and the main time management gameplay is a fine tuned as the other Gamehouse games. A good little game I really recommend.
I want to know where Emily's cat Snuggy and her dog Rosie were. Why they didn't show up anymore???

PC REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM:
OS: Windows 7, 8, 10
Processor: 1.6 GHZ
Memory: 512 MB RAM
DIFFICULTY
You can choose Easy, Normal, Expert. This isn't a hard game.
GRINDING
There is only a small amount of grinding if you want to get all the achievements.
STORY
The story is engaging and makes the game worth playing through so you can see what happens to the characters.
GAME TIME
Average game time for this genre. I completed all the levels and achievements in 11 hours.
PRICE
This game is a very reasonable price for the entertainment you get.
BUGS
I had one glitch that I was able to fix by uninstalling and reinstalling. My game was saved and I didn't have to replay all the levels. Otherwise, I had no problems.
This game is a great distraction. As management simulators go I enjoyed this. It feels like Diner Dash but as a vets.
My Experience
I found myself quite engaged with the Heart's Medicine series published by GameHouse, so I decided to try my hand at some of the other "time management" titles they've published. While playing the game, you almost never stop moving your character - there's always something to be prepared, refilled, delivered, etc. You'll begin to feel more and more competent and capable as you develop your own "tricks of the trade" to keep things running smoothly.
One thing that I enjoyed about this title was basic outline of the story. Although the details were all very predictable, the push to challenge yourself by taking a job in a more metropolitan area is something I am familiar with. In fact, I'm in the process of making a move like this myself. In addition, being a proud owner of two cats, I liked the game thematically.
I also thought certain aspects of the game were hilarious, such as the hair-cutting mini games for dogs and horses. No animal grows hair in anything close to the depiction represented in-game, and the mini game always brought a stupid smile to my face. I also thought that Jasper's preening was amusing - he's just such a stereotype.
However, there were some things that likely make this an inferior experience to the Heart's Medicine series. First of all, none of the customers know what they want when they first walk in. They'll each stand there with dots over their heads trying to figure it out for a few moments. Of course you begin to adjust to this after a time, but I didn't like the effect that it had on the rhythm of the game.
I also disliked the levels that had a challenge involving continual check-ups on an animal. In these levels, a meter would just continually deplete unless you checked on the animal. This meter seemed to deplete quite quickly, and induced a rather unsettling sense of anxiety in me.
Lastly, the "comic relief" in the game is Arthur's pet parrot, Newton. Although I understand the developer's rationale for including him, I began to groan at every goofy non-sequitur he uttered after a few hours with the game.
Although this title isn't as good as the Heart's Medicine games, I enjoyed my time with it. Although I doubt I'll play another Dr. Cares game in the future, Amy needs to get with Jack. He's got a good heart and a solid head on his shoulders.
Another really fun time management game with a dramatic professional and romantic story line.
It is a bit easier that the Heart's Medicine series, with simpler mini-games but equally fun (and with more cute animals). A must for those, who like me, once dreamed of being a vet.
I loves these games that these devs make and this one is one of easiest games to collect achievements for.
Another one of the lovely series from our favorite GameHouse Original Stories! <3 I love how this series reflect on most of the concept on how most people usually sees animals these days; especially mostly in the modern societies - like some sees animals as possessions and accessories while some just sees them as tool to make money. It is also a beautiful adventure with Amy throughout the whole game and accompany her in learning from mistakes; trial and error in life.
Overall, I love the mini games and the soundtracks - especially their main song; it is so beautiful and free. If you have play all other GH Original Stories Games, you definitely know you should be getting this as well! Absolutely enjoyable and worth of the time to play. Thumb up for GHOS and Nitreal.
This is the first vet game that I really enjoyed, taking the journey with Amy is really fun and exciting. I love all the characters, specifically Newton, he really makes the story better. I enjoyed getting all the achievements and building up the vet clinic to it's former glory, I love how the story relates to in real life to follow your dreams and achieving it. The story is rich and really fun to care for all the animals, but don't forget that pink puppy too. Recommended indeed!!
Definitely enjoyed this - it's not as intense as Heart's Medicine, so if you're looking for a sweet, casual time management game this is a good choice.
I've always loved these games, especially when theres a storyline to them. they're easygoing and not that hard to do. onto the next one now lol.
If you have ever dreamed about looking after adorable-looking pets, Dr. Cares - Pet Rescue 911 might be a good match for you. Unfortunately, you are unlikely to find Amy - the protagonist - or her story enthralling, and sadly, that is a huge let down considering this publisher's similar titles are quite focused on storytelling. But hey, dogs and cats more than make up for her. It is a satifactory game as a whole, but you may pass on this one. Maybe next game, doc!
Love!! I enjoyed the story as well as the gameplay. A good buy if you are looking for a casual game!!
While not my favourite of the GameHouse roster, I did enjoy playing Pet Rescue 101. The gameplay was significantly slower than the Allison Heart games, so there were a few times I felt impatient with the "customer thinking" phase. After playing games requiring more strategic thinking on a time limit, Pet Rescue wasn't as challenging. As usual, I liked the overall story but found most of the characters to be stereotype cutouts and not very appealing. Amy, especially, didn't have a lot of substance and I'm disappointed there wasn't much more to her character other than surface dialogue.
I am still giving it a recommendation to play, however, if you enjoy the GameHouse style of task management.
Cute game, cute stories. You really understand how the characters are feeling and whatnot. Great soundtrack, kinda hard to find the mice if you don't have your volume up to a certain level lol. Just my opinion though.
I've always been a huge fan of these games. This one is no different. No bugs. Works great. Great story. I got it on sale. But would consider buying it at regular price.
This game was realy fun! The gamestyle is like the other Delicious games, but with a lot of cute animals, and a sweet story.
It was relaxing, and funny, sometimes a little bit sad. There are 3 level of game difficulity. I played on "hard" mode, but it was a bit too easy I think, compared to the Heart's Medicine series.
The fleas was my favourites, they are ridiculously happy :D they are so adorable <3
If you ever wanted to be a Vet or work with animals but couldn't for some reason, this the game for you.
I've always loved GameHouse's time management games. The story feels the same as the other games, but it's still a lot of fun. I didn't find the pets as cute as they ought to be, but taking care of them in different departments made the game really interesting.
