Fundamentally unplayable. Horrible interface, no ability to exit from detail menus. A total waste of time and money, purging from the drive now.
fun and intuitive
I've been searching for an engaging Battle of Britain gameplay experience, and 303 Squadron: Battle of Britain has caught my attention. Although I've owned it for a while, I only recently started playing it. Upon loading it up tonight, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it's an RPG/Battle of Britain hybrid, featuring a storyline, character interactions, and the ability to repair and upgrade your plane. The game offers a flight simulator experience that can be tailored to suit individual preferences, ranging from arcade-style gameplay to a more realistic flight simulator. While the graphics may not be outstanding due to the game's age, it's based on a board game called 303 Battle of Britain. As a simulator, you assume the role of a pilot on a base, interacting with other characters and upgrading your plane with specialized parts. The ultimate goal is to progress from flying a Hurricane to a Spitfire, with the option to pilot other planes like the Typhoon. Overall, I'm having a enjoyable time playing it. And yes you do walk around in a first person mode, you do actually work on your airplane, and you actually take off and land. And you can die and I don't think it's permanent death I think you can set it for permanent death if you wanted to, but it's the beginning of Battle of Britain and as you start the game Germany is not yet started bombing Britain yet.

Personal Opinon
In this game we can witness the Story of Squadron 303 a legendary exile (polish) Squadron that defended Britain back in World War 2 from Germany with just a handful of planes and Pilots of which 303 is one of the Squadron put together from exiled and highly skilled Fighter Pilots. Anyway if you are interested in the Story of 303 you can read it in form of papers located around the Airbase.
Back to the game itself it plays and runs good and I liked it recommend and if you like games with this kind of Theme I would also recommend Aviators
let me start by saying this is a good game but it does need a little work. For instance their is no excitement or SCRAMBLE! Its all just mission after mission. Don't get me wrong it is fun and the controls take a little getting used too but i just wish the planes looked a little better and that there is more SCRAMBLES! overall i would give it a 7.5 out of 10 as of right now.
This is a strange game. I couldn't get past the first part of the first mission which makes you ride a bike to a place and where it wants you to fix a plain without telling you how. How absurd. I bought this to fight planes in the sky not to do dumb errands that don't work.

I was so excited about this game as I'm an older player who's Father was in the war!
Sadly the trailers and art are misleading. After 21 minutes in game I'm still finding my way around an airbase having to talk to different NPC's and upgrade my plane. I'm bored already! If I wanted to seek out and buy a potion off Gandalf the Wizard I'd have bought an RPG game! I want to grab my wingman Ginger, fly up into the blue yonder over good old Blighty, seek out that damn Hun and send the German swine plummeting to earth screaming in a ball of flames all in the name of peace!!
DEV'S take the hint,...at least give us the option to skip the BS and jump straight into the cockpit and play the game like your videos show!
