Definitely the best game out of the reboot series. Lots of variety, insane story, fantastic gameplay.

I think this one is one of those games that you will replay again and again after a while just because it fells so good and fun to play.

Funny coming back to this game after almost a decade. It manages to hold up! Well worth experiencing the story with a single playthrough, some outlandish sequences and lots of fun to be had. The graphics are still more than acceptable even after so long. Great voice acting, decent narrative, and most importantly keeps you engaged.

Definitely give it a go if you enjoy some classic FPS action.

A game about killing a lot of Nazis, which gives me great comfort at this particular point in US history for no reason whatsoever.

You'll like this game if you like alternate WW2 timeline stories. I played this game like 10 years after it came out, so it feels a bit unfair to review a 10 year old game. It's a bit dated, it shows, but it's still worth a play through overall. And also the achievements and 100%'ing it is fairly straightforward, so that's good.

Story line is alright and better than other WW2'esque games. Characters are stereotypical, but everything seems to work. It's a pretty easy game even at the hardest difficulty with only a few parts that might take you a few tries to get by. It's also pretty linear with some exploration for collectibles. Overall it's curated pretty well and definitely a triple A game with lots of effort put into it to make it more immersive in a good way.

It's got some puzzles, but mostly minimal. I feel like a good way to describe this game is it's what Half-Life wishes it could be (I think HL is incredibly overrated).

Overall it's pretty fun. Sometimes I feel like there wasn't enough action/shooting as they tried to be more immersive/story telling. The game does not waste your time. Even with the alternate timelines, it's still fun to play through again b/c you can really skip tons of things or speedrun things easily. The game takes longer the first time around b/c you want to take your time and explore and soak it in, which is a good thing. But it's funny how short the game actually is if you just rush through it on the easiest difficulty on the 2nd playthrough as you farm/collect achievements.

Classic Wolfenstein gameplay. Run and gun, lots of fun, would play again.

Loved it. The combat is satisfying. I cared about the characters. A very immersive atmosphere and environments tell their own story.

A game that pumps it's own absurdity and violence up to 11. Being an FPS it's nothing groundbreaking, but it's tone makes it worth playing.

Utterly flawless gunplay and I MEAN IT. It's genuinely mind boggling how they made it flow and feel so good.

This game is so amazing I wish everybody to get the experience of playing such a good story in a game with so much action

Its fun, but a bit cheezy and even UBER was easy to beat. Nothing really special about the game, and there's a couple of sex scenes thrown in the game for no reason👎. Old Blood was much more fun and challenging.

The New Order is an absolute blast! Been playing for years on console (Xbox 360 and XBOne) but playing it on PC is a delight! Controls are smooth and feel so good, you just love to carve a new one on N*zis non-stop; the music is still full of timeless bangers, and the graphics hold up after 10 years.

A timeless, must-play classic. 10/10

Wolfenstien : The New Order is one of the best FPS games i have ever played.
The gameplay is awesome and gory , it has a solid story and likeable characters.
however you need to be 16+ to play this considering there is a bit of sex and lots of violence in the game.
I have beaten this on xbox and i am half way through it on PC

I played this game in 2024, and it holds up really well for a ten year old game. The graphics are stylized just enough that they dont feel terribly dated, the action and shooting is pretty solid and the set piece moments are well done. Some of the character models have a little age jank, Anya's hair was always odd looking throughout my run and I experienced regular screen tearing when turning. Overall it was a good experience and absolutely worth a run for the price you can pick it up for today.

Wolfenstein: The New Order – A Brutally Honest Review

Let’s get something straight: Wolfenstein: The New Order is the video game equivalent of kicking in a door and getting immediately shot in the face by a Nazi robot with a machine gun. It’s unforgiving. It’s relentless. It will laugh at you as you struggle through endless waves of Nazis like a helpless child trying to fight an avalanche with a butterknife.

First of all, BJ Blazkowicz—who I can only assume was named by a committee of blindfolded toddlers—has the emotional range of a rock. He's somehow both a meathead and a wet sponge. His dialogue is so wooden, you'd think the game’s writers were trying to win a contest for the most forgettable protagonist of all time. If you’re looking for someone with any kind of personality beyond "I shoot Nazis," you’re SOL. The guy’s got more depth than a puddle on a dry day.

The plot is basically, “What if Nazis won WW2 and then made their own video game in which you have to kill them?” So, you fight through waves and waves of Nazi robots, Nazis in power armor, Nazi dogs, and, of course, more Nazis, because apparently one Nazi isn’t enough to make a game. It’s like the devs took every villainous Nazi trope, threw it in a blender, and hit puree.

Now, let’s talk gameplay—specifically, the hardest difficulty. On that setting, this game doesn’t hold your hand. It rips your arm off, beats you with it, and says, “Do better.” Ammo is scarce, health is even scarcer, and the AI will detect you from the other side of the map if you so much as fart in the wrong direction. You’ll spend more time reloading your last save than you will actually playing. Don’t even think about stealth—unless you count running, hiding, and praying for mercy.

Combat is chaotic in the worst possible way. You’ll be spraying bullets in every direction just to survive, while enemy robots and Nazis come at you in droves like it’s some kind of sick game. They don’t care about your feelings, and neither does the game. It’s like trying to solve a Rubik’s cube while being punched in the face every two seconds. If you think you’re ever safe, think again. The game’s designed to throw you into a never-ending blender of fire, bullets, and "who even designed these AI paths?" It’s punishing. It’s brutal. It’s not fun. But damn if it isn’t satisfying to see that last Nazi robot finally crumple after 17 failed attempts.

The stealth mechanics? Hilarious. If you think you can sneak around in this game, you're a delusional maniac. Enemies are basically walking radar dishes, and you’ll get caught at the slightest wrong move. Forget about sneaking—you’re better off just going full assault, because the game already decided you’re going to be spotted five miles away, whether you like it or not.

The graphics are decent, but let’s be real: you’re not playing this for the visuals. You’re playing because you’ve got a death wish and a thirst for Nazi blood. The maps are big, but you’ll spend a lot of time running around aimlessly, wondering why you’re doing this to yourself. The level design sometimes feels like they ran out of ideas halfway through and decided, "Hey, what if we just make this area twice as big and fill it with 500 more Nazis?"

In short, Wolfenstein: The New Order on the hardest difficulty is a test of your patience, your skills, and your sanity. It’s not for the faint of heart. It’s a brutal, unforgiving slog where every victory feels earned and every death feels like a personal insult from the game developers. If you’ve ever wanted to experience what it’s like to be trapped in a never-ending hellscape of Nazis, robots, and explosions, then this is your game. If you value your time or your mental well-being, you might want to reconsider.

Falls short of its earlier game due to poor level design especially the moon bs

Greatly appreciated how MachineGames brought Wolfenstein back 10 years ago - while I don't love some of the annoying objectives to unlock upgrades I appreciated the level design, combat sequences, story, and stealth mechanics. Was a great game in 2014 and still is today.

The graphics, story and interface work well and it is an engaging FPS. I am not as impressed with the progression process which requires accomplishing specific tasks with the various weapons in order to improve. This is a personal preference. In general I would recommend this game for anybody who enjoys FPS.

You know this is based on fictional history since Nazis won the war yet are still considered the bad guys. That has never happened in the real world.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is a game where the main character, Blazkowicz, does what he does best: turning Nazis into recyclable trash. It’s got everything: laser cutters, dual-wielding guns, an alternate history where Nazis took over the world, and even giant robo-dogs!!!

The story is pretty solid, especially if you’re into the idea of a serious guy saving the world. As for the gameplay, your love for shooting and explosions will be well rewarded. Plus, there are moments where you can just sip coffee and chat with NPCs — before diving back into annihilating an army of Nazi cyborgs.

In short, it’s a game about how much you can accomplish if you have enough ammo and charisma.

this was an amazing game start to finish! very tragic, very epic combat and most of all very good gore and boss battles and jumpscares galore! i highly recommend this!

Set virtual super resolution to ON in Adrenalin and in windows set that resolution. Now when entering windowed or fullscreen Wolfenstein, its able to run at that res. 5K wolfenstein is pretty awesome.

I hadn't played this since 2014, thought I'd run through it again on easy mode just to enjoy the story. I forgot how good this was. Definately recommend it,

If you enjoy sneaking around and killing Nazis, I think you will enjoy this game. I enjoy the detail they put into the different environments—all of the nooks and crannies encourage exploration.

I don't much like FPS games.

Wolfenstein's approach is to add some weapon and enemy variety, hide collectibles throughout levels, and throw in a perk system where perks are unlocked by demonstrating certain skills while playing. Health is a hybrid of regenerating and health packs.

It works, and reminds me a bit of Resistance: Fall of Man and other shooters that tried to cling to older mechanics while bringing them more in line with 21st century shooter expectations. But it's still just a shooter. Cranking up the difficulty I found made enemies spongier and ammo counts more restricted, which honestly just wasn't fun. I recommend playing at lower difficulty levels to shut your brain off and enjoy the pretty colors while you vaporize natsies.

More of what is offered in the Old Blood and then some.
It takes place in the 60s but everything has advanced into a high tech scifi world of Nazi rule.
You have access to more high tech weapons while you are bombarded with nazi cyborgs from hell and the like.
FPS is intense but I find it funny how you can camp in this game and easily clear areas.
Typical dumb AI from this generation of gaming but still fun!

Forthwith will be my first ever game review, I figured I would try on a game I at least 100%’d and enjoyed.

Wolfenstein really took a theme (alternate history and weird tech) and made a hell of an immersive experience for an FPS.
Exploding, shooting and stabbin Nazis exceptionally well done, with the decent variety of weapons and locations.
I love the dual wielding makes you feel like a WW2 doom slayer.
The ability to lean around corners feels like it should be in every FPS.
I also love when a game is interspersed with secret areas and collectibles, I had a good time figuring out most of them.

What I feel is a massive, missed opportunity is why the protagonist Blaskowicz is so unkillable – as awesome as his badassness is I just think not moving for almost a decade would amount to muscle loss, not to mention other crazy injuries he sustains and then forgets about.
There was such an awesome potential story there, imagine this – BJ gets captured by Nazis and they experiment on captured POW’s for the Uber Soldier serum, most of the subjects die violent explosive deaths but for some reason BJ’s system takes to this serum and gets Captain America regen powers – which would be so much impactful story plot instead of him.... just being superhero for no reason. At least thats what I would have done, (Bethesda feel free to contact me)

Back to gameplay its more and more rare to get a simple shooter like this that goes for hard topics but doesn't take them too seriously, while constantly giving you more intense action set pieces to bash through.
The stealth elements I am mixed on. On one hand it is awesome to have the option to go in quiet but on the other hand the game really shines when you are spotted and must shoot your way out.

I think especially today you will get your monies worth if you are looking for an epic shoot out through alternate history.

A fun reboot for the Wolfenstein franchise. Better than the sequels and the prequel that came after. At its current price of $20, it's a good buy even for 2024.

This game presents a convincing argument that the best way to improve the world is to remove Nazis from it. I agree with this thesis.

It was short and mediocre (mostly bad) for the most part. I appreciate the straight forward approach, but not so much when it comes to the level design and the props. I feel like the developers could have done so much more with the maps that they had, but they chose not to. They recycled the same maps, environments, and the props over and over again, to a point where you won't be able to differentiate the first hour of the game to the last. The segment set on the moon in particular was incredible exciting which soon after turned jarring because of the reason mentioned above.

The story was awful, and the constant hunt for ammo, health packs, and the armor sucked even more. On the controller, it was even more awful, having to look down every other second to pick something up was very tedious (looking down is how I spent most of my time playing this game). Looking straight up didn't pop up the pick ammo/health prompt most of the time either.

On the weapon side of the things, they force you to use that plasma cutter from the very get go. After acquiring almost 20 upgrades (yes, mostly for that gun, while upgrades for other guns were far few and scarce or even non-existent) for it throughout the game, it sucked even more. The gameplay choices revolved around using your 20 times upgraded plasma gun to annihilate big robot enemies, cut through metal and armor all till the very end of the game (where 99% of the enemies were heavily armored), thus forcing you to use that stupid gun for the majority of the last half of the game.

On the bright side, the gunplay was good, and the fast paced nature of the combat didn't disappoint. If the game was any longer, it would have sucked, and I am very glad that it concluded when it did. The most exciting part for me, was the end, when the game ended.

Great continuation of the story ! A must buy and complete.

WOW. The quality of the writing, especially the dialogues and the characters, it's top notch, and the voice acting is close to perfection. I haven't been this impressed since Mass Effect 3.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is a game that creates an interesting atmosphere. Each chapter is unique, making the game engaging. Some textures look old, but the visuals are still excellent.

One of the most satisfying gun-fighting I have experienced, ever changing unique mission locations, and fun combat scenarios made even better by the music being played.
