Nothing will ever be as good as old Spintires, but mudrunner comes pretty close. It is boring though, the learning curve is not steep at all, but the gameplay is tedious.
Very nice game, the graphics is amazing for ONLY 2 GB and its very nice to play with a friend

This is the King of off-road out of all the Spintires games.
The controls, cameras, compatibility with controllers/wheel.
If you want an easier time, more content and care less for realism then grab Snowrunner.
If you want a good challenge, realistic physics and that vibe of back country Siberia/Russia then grab Mudrunner
I feel like this is a really cozy driving game except the night time freaks me out
Each map is a new challenge to find the watchtowers, and deliver the lumber to the mills. Plays decently on my very old Lenovo A300 AIO pc. It is a game that I had wanted for a long time and finally have the game to play.
This is a great game, with one caveat: Attaching a trailer can take 2 seconds and a click, or it can be done in 2 minutes under a lot of cursing, due to some wonky physics. Aside from that, the game is only positives. Nice soundtrack, great feeling when driving, amazing vehicle variety, a lot of community created content, etc...
Get it, and if you manage to get it at a discount, go for the DLCs as well!
This game is Really good! Currently, there is a %80 Sale in mudrunner! It has better simulation of trucks than snowrunner due to it terrain based not Physics based. THIS GAME IS BETTER THAN SNOWRUNNER. RIP Spintires...

Has been a lot of fun ,Who don't like getting stuck in the mud , I was surprised how well the trucks got thru the mud and water so far just like real life problems that can be solved.
I played this just enough to leave a review.
This game was a waste of my time. Immediately upon booting up, I tried to fullscreen it and it crashed. I did this twice more before looking it up and finding out that there are at least a dozen guides on how to fix various critical and well known bugs in the game that the devs are too lazy to patch, one of which being that the game crashes if you try to fullscreen it on a secondary monitor. I tried playing it in windowed view and while it worked, the controls are so clunky that it's not even fun. The camera sensitivity and controls are also abhorrently bad. The game hasn't been touched by the devs in three years. So unless you want to relive nostalgia or are so desperate as to pass up getting snowrunner instead (which hasn't been abandoned by the devs unlike this pile of garbage) take your money elsewhere. This shit should be free for how fucking buggy it is -v-
Bought it for $4 with my buddy as we had nothing else to play. Crazy fun experience lol.
UI could be better. Drove on mud for 2 hours, delivered logs, had to winch to get around.
Crack a beer, put on a video essay and play this game casually; you're in for a ride lol.

Should have more patients for playing this kind of game. Need to calculated many things but you will enjoy it. Even now have so many games with the same version, Mud Runner still worth to buy especially with extreme discount on it!

This is a simple yet surprisingly fun game with decent graphics and fantastic physics. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I have. So far, I've completed three maps, and each one has been a blast. One aspect of the game is that if you flip your truck and lose your logs, it's important to keep your frustration in check. I once spent about 16 minutes driving to the other side of the map, only to flip my truck over close to the mill, and I had to try again later. It's definitely a bit of a challenge, but that's part of the fun! It's a bit torturous at times, but it helps you learn where to be more careful. Overall, it's a very enjoyable game, and though it can be unforgiving, that adds to its charm.
i got it on sale for around 4-8$ AUD i don't remember and it was only 1-2GB in size so considering all that its an awesome game highly recommend.
Mudrunner has potential. The game is extremely realistic and easy to run, which is the reason i bought the game. However, once i was actually in the game i ran into my first problem: the game is TOO reaslistic. The devs went overboard. The second i got in the game and started to drive a truck, its freaking wheels just sank into the mud and i couldent move! eventually i got out of the mud i started driving, SO SLOWLY, the cars are just sooooo slow. I tried crossing a small stream, and of course, I GET STUCK AND THEN MY CAR FLIPS ON ITS SIDE. i had to restart the level about 3 times in 10 minutes. If you do enjoy hyper realistic off-road car games, then this game is for you. There are many features in the game but I just cant do anything.
I refunded the game after about 20 mins.
Honestly i would way rather sit and watch paint dry.
The gameplay is so bland and so under done i feel as if they only focus on there physics including the water/mud ones and adding new cars and map, The developers pay no attention to the gameplay to the point it took me a hour to just simply get logs.
The game gets boring even with mods but if you really wanna waste your money to get some advanced terrain physics get a flat mud map and a modded car go for it.

There is not a better off-road simulator than MudRunner, it even has better physics than SnowRunner. There is no other game with terrain deformation this good, it is a leader in this. The vehicle physics are impressive, it feels like there is actually an engine, transmission, differential, tire pressure and it's all affected by the terrain. I was really surprised when I first played Spintires, I had never seen this level of realism before. The only two things that are missing are the ability to manually change all the gears of the transmission and better handling at higher speeds.

I wonder what snow-runner is like? I've never been able to justify buying as it came out the day after I purchased this title.
I've never been asked by chat / community to play this title nor snow-runner so that's good. Very niche title with a small community and little to no support anymore with focus on Snow-runner.
Worth getting / playing the missions but not worth more than $20.00
I like trucks and offroading. This is way better than Snowrunner or that expeditions crap. Play this or download BeamNG and go offroad in that.
good game a lot of mud 10/10, workshop content is good
i've gotten stuck in to the game as quickly as i get stuck in the mud. i'm enjoying the slower, methodical gameplay. it's showing it's age with the effects and the overall lack of options in the options menu. i've yet to try out the hardcore mode yet cause that still seems too scary. i like the workshop; i've found some great maps and vehicles! i can see this holding my attention for awhile more.
Finished the game with hardcore single star completion on every level and can safely say I'm done with this game. This game tricks you into thinking its the off-road version of truck simulator, when in reality what you're playing is a strategic puzzle game with multiple moving pieces and a lot of skill involved. Its a bit janky and really doesnt play all that well with a mouse and keyboard, but theres a lot of fun to be had.
Get stuck in the mud, tip over, contemplate killing yourself, good game
Why would you want to drive a 1/2 ton that has a darkmatter chasis through a michigan made of seafoam? I have played all three of these games, and if the ground worked the way it does in snowrunners all our houses would be sunk up to the chimney

This game is truly an openworld sandbox like no other, except maybe SnowRunner... But lets be honest, why spend the extra dough on snow when you have mud?!
If you're looking for a challenge, a tough, rough-and-tumble offroading game, then this is for you!
And if you get bored of the mud, you could do some logging, I guess... But still, MUD!

Auto save sucks! If are stuck then you have to start over. Only one save and if you save wrong time...that's it..start again at begin.

very slow pace game, not what I was looking for I have played for 4 hours and every time i get close to dropping of logs i lose the load and have to start all over again spending 30 minutes real time driving back to the log site.

Nice relaxing game to play with your friend while hanging out on Discord when you play on casual mode.
When you play on hardcore you will re-adjust your behind to the edge of the seat. Things can go wrong quickly and requires careful planning.
imagine playing for 10 hours, crashing it 2 mph and losing all your cargo and having to drive to the wood place for another 5 hours to get wood and reset all your progress
